Lockdown wreaked havoc across the economy, devastating children's education, hammering the public finances and piling pressure on a health service already struggling with the ageing population.

But among its more pernicious and long-term consequences appears to be a steep and sustained rise in the numbers of people of working age who have left the jobs market because of ill health.

Dr Kristian Andersen, a Danish evolutionary biologist from Scripps Research, was a co-author of the March 2020 Nature Medicine research article titled 'The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2'.
A renowned scientist who led the condemnation of the Covid lab leak theory privately believed it was 'highly likely', leaked messages show.

Dr Kristian Andersen, a Danish evolutionary biologist, co-authored a now-notorious research paper published in March 2020 that denounced the origin scenario as a conspiracy theory and xenophobic.

Yet Slack messages obtained by DailyMail.com show how just weeks before the publication of that paper, Dr Andersen told colleagues the idea of a lab leak was 'not some fringe theory' and was, in fact, 'highly likely' the genesis of the pandemic.

We're all being targeted now.

We're all guilty until proven innocent now.

And thanks to the 24/7 surveillance being carried out by the government's spy network of fusion centers, we are all now sitting ducks, just waiting to be tagged, flagged, targeted, monitored, manipulated, investigated, interrogated, heckled and generally harassed by agents of the American police state.

Although these precrime programs are popping up all across the country, in small towns and big cities, they are not making us any safer but they are endangering individual freedoms.

Nationwide, there are upwards of 123 real-time crime centers (a.k.a. fusion centers), which allow local police agencies to upload and share massive amounts of surveillance data and intelligence with state and federal agencies culled from surveillance cameras, facial recognition technology, gunshot sensors, social media monitoring, drones and body cameras, and artificial intelligence-driven predictive policing algorithms.

These data fusion centers, which effectively create an electronic prison — a digital police state — from which there is no escape, are being built in partnership with big tech companies such as Microsoft, Google and Amazon, which helped to fuel the rise of police militarization and domestic surveillance.

The BBC presenter who allegedly paid a teenager more than £35,000 for sexually explicit pictures has been named as Huw Edwards.

He was named by his wife Vicky Flind in a statement issued on his behalf.

She said her husband was "suffering from serious mental health issues" and is now "receiving in-patient hospital care where he will stay for the foreseeable future" as she asked for privacy for her family.

Ms Flind further said that once her husband was "well enough to do so" he intends to respond to the allegations, which she says he was first told about last Thursday.

At 6pm, the BBC said he had resigned but shortly afterwards clarified that he had not quit.

For many years now, we've been watching the infestation of lacklustre mediocrities chewing through the universities like an army of termites eating the accrued reputation of centuries of scientific advancement and shitting out Debt, Indoctrination, and Enmity (which are the real goals of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity).

It looks like the house the termites ate might finally be starting to wobble.

A suspected serial killer has been arrested over the notorious Gilgo Beach murders in Long Island, The Post can confirm.

Rex Heuermann, 59, a married architect at a New York City firm, was caught after DNA from the hair of victim Megan Waterman matched that of his, taken by investigators from a discarded pizza crust in January.

The father-of-two — a former classmate of Hollywood actor Billy Baldwin — was arrested Thursday after cops had staked out his home on 1st Avenue in Massapequa Park, Long Island, and office in midtown Manhattan.

Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that "climate change is being used to control us through fear," and he released a campaign video that clarifies his position on the environment.

"Climate change is being used to control us through fear. Freedom and free markets are a much better way to stop pollution. Polluters make themselves rich by making the public pay for the damage they do," RFK Jr. tweeted along with a video of his position on the issue. "You show me a polluter, I'll show you a fat cat using political clout to escape the discipline of the free market."

Comment: While Kennedy sadly still buys into the climate change hoax, he is on the right track with the idea of letting free market creativity loose on what he perceives to be the problem. Unfettered R&D if given access to accurate data, would soon unmask the con, and point to proper solutions to the messes we are actually responsible for. Chemical contamination of water supplies, polluting production processes and the like are a more appropriate target for the ecologically minded.

As George Carlin has noted, climate will take care of itself.

Headless body of a child found on a beach in Spain

During routine earthworks on the Costa Dorada beach in the resort town of Roda de Berà, Spain, the body of a small child was discovered. Initially, witnesses mistook it for a discarded doll and did not alert the police.

Later, local law enforcement was immediately called to the scene and confirmed that the found body belonged to a two- to three-year-old child. The body was headless, with other body parts missing. Investigators are currently probing this horrifying incident in an attempt to establish the child's identity and determine the cause of death.

According to information from reliable sources, Civil Guard personnel swiftly cordoned off the beach and instructed tourists to evacuate to other parts of the beach area. This was done to ensure safety and preserve the integrity of the crime scene. A judge has also ordered the removal of the body.

An explosion occurred at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)'s rocket testing site in the northeastern Japan city of Noshiro, Akita Prefecture, on July 14, the science ministry said.

The explosion that occurred during a combustion test of the two-stage motor of the "Epsilon S" rocket is seen in this frame grab from Necovideo Visual Solutions' YouTube video.

As of 11 a.m., about two hours after the explosion, firefighting operations were still underway, but no injuries were reported, according to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

Tucker Carlson is back with something everyone should pay attention to.

Episode 9 of 'Tucker on Twitter' is a lengthy (complete) interview with Andrew Tate - the former-kickboxer-turned-influencer who is currently being held on human trafficking, rape, and criminal gang charges.

As an introduction, Carlson's monologue reflecting on the constant emasculation of American men. Specifically, he pointed to the "grotesque" feminist experiments of trying to snatch manhood away from boys and men.

Tate, who is facing human trafficking, rape and criminal gang charges, told Carlson he and his brother, Tristan, are accused of "mak[ing] girls do TikTok [videos]" to then steal the money those TikTok videos earn. He said he spent 92 days in a Romanian jail, but that he did not initially know why he was being held.

He accused the Romanian government of attempting to "coerce" the women to come forward with allegations because it has no evidence of actual crimes. He further raised the idea the media is intentionally slandering him by consistently covering him committing "such a heinous crime."

On the subject of manhood, Tate told Carlson he is attacked for emphasizing the importance of having a masculine presence in a relationship with a woman in order to have a functioning society. He said elites are trying to "instill cowardice" in men and elicit compliance in society by refusing to apologize for their allegedly false statements about the COVID-19 vaccine and other hot-button issues.

Tate was initially arrested in Bucharest, Hungary, in December 2022 and was moved to house arrest in March. The indictment alleged Tate, his brother and two female associates formed an organized criminal gang in 2021 to facilitate human trafficking.
