VietJet Air apparently decided that an improvised catwalk show of bikini-clad models onboard their flight is what a football team needs after playing a good game in the finals of the AFC Asian Cup.

Vietnam's U-23 football team managed to win a silver medal at the AFC Asian Cup after a tough competition, making it to the final game for the first time. They received an unexpected gift from the VietJet Air airline, which flew the team from Changzhou back to Hanoi. According to Taiwan News, it decided to invite several models to perform a bikini show onboard the team's flight.

In a video, filmed by one of the passengers and posted on YouTube, you can see that while some members of the team are enjoying the show and capturing it on their phones, others seem to feel a bit more awkward, or even embarrassed.

CNN Turkey falls for prank and reports 'American Sniper' star killed In Syria, Pentagon forced to deny

American Sniper
On Friday a Middle East regional CNN network reported that American Sniper Chris Kyle had been killed while embedded with US-backed Kurdish forces in Syria by invading Turkish troops, and the story went viral. Or maybe they meant to say actor Bradley Cooper?

Though priding itself for its brand recognition in setting the agenda for accurate mainstream news and top notch investigative journalism around the globe, CNN has once again embarrassed itself as its sister network, CNN Turk, fell for what should have been an easy to recognize prank. At the end of this week false reports that two US Special Forces members had been killed in Syria while embedded with American-backed Kurdish units fighting in the northwest Aleppo district of Afrin in Syria spread wildly through major Turkish media after CNN Turk reported it.

The only problem is that the identified US soldier purported to be featured in a photo circulating on social media which is the basis of CNN Turk's story was actually none other than "American Sniper" actor Bradley Cooper. That's right, as one classic and sadly all too literally serious headline from Newsweek reads - CNN Turkey Reports 'American Sniper' Bradley Cooper Killed In Syria, U.S. Military Denies.

Comment: For the Fake News professionals at CNN, if you see something on the Internet it must be true! No wonder your average news-junkie web-surfer makes better journalism these days.

A parent has filed a complaint with the school board over his classroom conduct and Salcido has been placed on paid administrative leave. Yes. The Left Hates America and Our Military

High School teacher Gregory Salcido who teaches at El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera, was caught on film during a rant about our military after seeing one of his students wearing a Marine sweater.

Salcido says many things during the 3 part video, however some of the most shocking things were calling the US military a "bunch of dumb sh*ts" and the "lowest of the low"

Comment: If the aim was to teach the children to think critically and question governments policies there are better ways to go about it. Though from these video's it seems the teacher is actually feeding his ego, abusing his position of authority by pushing his questionable opinions on the children, casually swearing - he's talking as though he's out at a bar with his friends.

The sorry state of schooling in America, and much of the Western world, is a damning reflection of the deterioration in society:

Seattle's soda tax hurts businesses and they're not happy about it

Coca-Cola bottles
© Justin Sullivan/Getty ImagesSeattle business owners are fed up over the city's new sugary drink tax, which they say are driving their customers to competitors outside the city.
The absurdity of Seattle's new sugary drink tax was exposed earlier this month when adjusted Costco price labels made headlines nationwide.

Thanks to the 1.75 cents per ounce tax, a 36-pack of soda at a Seattle Costco rose in price by 75 percent, while a 35-pack of gatorade raised by similar levels. While city leaders say the tax will benefit the city, business leaders and representatives say the tax will do nothing but hurt Seattle businesses, their employees and, in the long-term, the city itself.

Jagajit Singh, who runs a pizzeria on the outskirts of Seattle, told KING-TV the tax puts her business at a severe disadvantage to businesses just down the street from her that are outside the city limits. Those businesses aren't subject to the "soda tax."

Comment: Trying to change behavior through penalizing taxes. The land of the free.

CNN has gone bananas and doesn't seem to care

Is this the 'most trusted name in news'?
Yes, CNN staffers have lost their minds. One year of Donald Trump's America and he's defeated them as thoroughly as the New England Patriots beat, well, just about anybody.

We're a year into the most-biased U.S. media in history - tracking at 90 percent biased against President Trump. But there appears to be lasting damage to journalists, their professionalism and even their ability to pretend they are rational.

In just one week, CNN staffers blamed President Trump for a man who tried to harm people at their headquarters, ran a piece celebrating cuckolding (not kidding!) and questioned whether the president deserved "credit" for all of the good corporate news of raises and bonuses - resulting from his tax cut.

Celebrity clown and CNN Chief White House Correspondent Jim Acosta had repeated run-ins with whoever the Trump administration put at the podium. In each case, they smacked him down and showed the lack of depth of his reporting.

Comment: CNN is not journalism. It's propaganda. It's so transparent it's laughable. See also:

The group of eight men and two women, ranging in age from 19 to 35, hail from Britain, Canada, The Netherlands, Norway and New Zealand. They were arrested at a Siem Reap villa party on Thursday, according to local authorities.

Cambodian police released images of the alleged offense, along with a group picture of those arrested. The 10 have been charged by the Office Combating Human Trafficking and Cracking down on Pornographic Material.

Comment: It is wise to pay heed to the local culture and norms in the place you're visiting. An incident like this could have been avoided, even if they were encouraged. It wouldn't be the first instance of tourists running afoul of local authorities - and sometimes questionable rulings:

Authored by Matt Agorist via SHTFplan.com,

The FBI just released the results of their investigation claiming that the media mogul and found of RT killed himself by repeatedly smashing his head and upper body into the ground.

In November 2015, the Free Thought Project reported that Mikhail Lesin, the former head of media affairs for the Russian government, and the founder of Russia Today (RT), was found dead in the hotel room that he was staying at in Washington DC.

Originally, authorities announced that Lesin died from a heart attack.

However, the results of his autopsy released months later indicated a far more sinister cause of death and the heavily redacted FBI documents that were just released add to that story.

The documents, detailing the FBI investigation into Lesin's death were just released Saturday morning in spite of the investigation ending in October of 2016.

Norman Finkelstein's new book on Gaza is a must-read

Norman Finkelstein
Norman Finkelstein down by the sea in Brooklyn
Norman Finkelstein has the moral gravity of an Old Testament prophet, the scrupulous attention to detail of a Talmudic scholar, and the mordant sense of humor of a Yiddish novelist. All these attributes are on display in Gaza: An Inquest into its Martyrdom, an indictment of Israel's crimes in the overcrowded Palestinian territory from 2008 up to the present.

The criminal pattern of Israel's ongoing blockade, punctuated by murderous assaults against the civilian population of the beleaguered territory, will not be news to anyone who follows Israel/Palestine. But the cumulative impact of Finkelstein's meticulously-documented 408-page chronicle is devastating, and it will leave the reader stunned that the worldwide reaction is so muted.

Finkelstein does have one major new finding. He argues that the major international human rights organizations, after effectively denouncing Israel's assault on Gaza in 2008-09, have since quieted down, to the point that Human Rights Watch issued only one feeble report after the biggest Israeli attack of all in 2014. Israel's hasbara (propaganda), along with other kinds of pressure, is successfully whitewashing Israeli crimes.

Finkelstein deals in turn with Operation Cast Lead (2008-09; 1400 Gazans dead, including 350 children); the assault on the Mavi Marmara ship that was bringing medical and other supplies to the territory (9 dead); the less well-known Operation Pillar of Defense (2012; 100 dead, 35 children); and the most savage attack to date, Operation Protective Edge (51 days in 2014; 2200 dead, 550 children). He points out that by contrast, a total of 86 Israelis died in all these assaults, and of the 73 Israeli casualties in the 2014 invasion, fully 67 were Israeli combatants.
