A huge stash of anabolic steroids has been found at a local university hospital in Norway, a country which has long been criticized for manipulating the Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE) process to achieve sporting success.

More than 2,000 banned pills and 78 glass bulbs with prohibited substances were found in a local hospital in the Norwegian city of Tromso, TASS reported citing Norwegian outlet ITromso.

A 43-year-old employee reportedly kept the illicit stash in the hospital's locker room for the purpose of selling the drugs to recipients who have not yet been identified. Anabolic steroids, including testosterone, boldenone, trenbolone, masteron and nandrolone were among those found in the hospital.

The New York Police Department has suspended the use of almost 3,000 body cameras after one exploded, leaving some of the city's police force unrecorded for the foreseeable future. According to studies, not much will change.

An NYPD officer noticed smoke rising from his camera on Saturday, and took it off before it exploded. Nobody was injured in the incident, but the department instructed all officers equipped with Vievu LE-5 body cameras to return them to their precincts.

"Nothing is more important than the safety of our officers, and equipping the NYPD with the best equipment is a paramount priority," read a statement from the NYPD. The department believes that a battery malfunction caused the device to explode.

There are 2,990 NYPD officers with LE-5 cameras, and another 12,500 with an older model. Officers with the older model will continue to wear their cameras.

Scientific fraud: Harvard calls for retraction of dozens of studies by noted cardiac researcher

Some 31 studies by Dr. Piero Anversa contain fabricated or falsified data, officials concluded. Dr. Anversa popularized the idea of stem cell treatment for damaged hearts.

A prominent heart researcher formerly at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston fabricated or falsified data in 31 published studies that should be retracted, officials at the institutions have concluded.

The scientist, Dr. Piero Anversa produced research suggesting that damaged heart muscle could be regenerated with stem cells, a type of cell that can transform itself into a variety of other cells.

Although other laboratories could not reproduce his findings, the work led to the formation of start-up companies to develop new treatments for heart attacks and stroke, and inspired a clinical trial funded by the National Institutes of Health.

MIT professor accuses Bellingcat's Higgins of enabling war criminals to walk free in Syria

A debate between Bellingcat's Eliot Higgins and MIT Professor Theodore Postol on the alleged chemical weapons attack in Khan Sheikhoun, Syria in April 2017 got heated as the two accused each other of covering up war crimes.

The opponents met on the grounds of the Center for Investigative Journalism's Conspiracy conference in London on Saturday, engaging in a bitter war of words. Not that anyone expected the meeting to be peaceful, given how Higgins earlier refused to meet the Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor and former scientific adviser for the Pentagon, simply calling him "an idiot."

Somali deportee removed from plane by cheering do-gooders was convicted gang-rapist

yaqub ahmed
Disturbing details have emerged about a Somali migrant whose deportation to Turkey was prevented by disruptive do-gooders at Heathrow Airport. A similar case with a pitied deportee was reported in Sweden nearly three months ago.

Civic-minded passengers who had boarded an Istanbul-bound Turkish Airlines flight at Heathrow Airport were able to block the deportation of a Somali man. In doing so, they prevented the extradition of a foreign criminal who was convicted in the gang rape of a young girl.

The British tabloid Daily Mail revealed on Sunday that Yaqub Ahmed, a 29-year-old Somali national, preyed on a 16-year-old girl together with three cohorts after she became separated from her friends during a night out in London in August 2007.

Comment: As noted in Upside-down values: Swede deemed 'hero' for stopping deportation of migrant sentenced for assault, following a similar event:
Toxic compassion? There's a place for kindheartedness - it's an essential component of being human - but without the addition of thought, it is worthless. It's what leads naive people like Ersson to support terrorists, rapists, murderers, and other criminals - all in the name of compassion. Solzhenitsyn warned about this trend 40 years ago, and it has only gotten worse.

Hundreds of buildings across UK at risk of collapse

UK Building
© AP Photo
More than 41,000 apartments throughout Great Britain are located in residential high-rises which have structural defects that could lead to a catastrophe "bigger than Grenfell," a deadly fire which claimed 72 lives in London last year.

An estimated 100,000 people in the UK live in high-rise apartment buildings (known in the UK as tower blocks) that have a common structural flaw, which could lead to their collapse, the Independent reported on Sunday.

These residential buildings were built using the Large Panel System (LPS) method during the 1960s and 1970s; the construction method led to cracks which are sometimes wide enough for residents to be able to slide their hands between the walls. Such cracks could precipitate the collapse of entire buildings in the event of a fire or gas explosion, such as the one that led to the partial collapse of the 22-story Ronan Point tower block in 1968.

Documents obtained by the Independent show at least 575 tower blocks, including two in London, which were built using the LPS method and are potentially at risk.

Comment: So not only are these buildings fire traps, but also ready to collapse. All to save a few bucks at the expense of human lives. See also:

McConnell and wife berated in packed restaurant; Diners side with Mitch

A group of protesters confronted Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his wife on Friday night at a Louisville, KY restaurant - however the crowd wasn't having it.

A woman who recorded the incident said that the protester "slammed his fists on McConnell's table and threw food out of the restaurant after accusing McConnell of killing people with his views," according to Fox News.
Video obtained by TMZ shows at least one diner berating McConnell on issues such as Social Security at a restaurant in Louisville. The video starts with him yelling at McConnell and arguing with Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao -- to whom McConnell is married. The outlet reported that four men first confronted McConnell.

"Oh yeh, why don't you get out of here? Why don't you leave our entire country," the protester tells the couple.

As Chao argues with the protester, McConnell appears unperturbed and sips on a drink. But other diners begin yelling at the protester, telling him to "leave him alone" and making shoo-ing gestures. -Fox News

Right rising in Canada? Meet would-be 'Toronto's next mayor' Faith Goldy

She promised to "Make Canada Safe Again!" and stop Toronto turning into "a sharia safe space," and in return Faith Goldy has been censured by rivals, blacklisted by major media outlets and dismissed in court. Is she a big deal?

Her stunt on Friday is emblematic of the 29-year-old's role in the campaign - the plucky outsider unafraid to speak her mind, yet struggling to be heard. As the overwhelming favorite for Monday's election, the center-right incumbent John Tory, read out a routine transport announcement to a gaggle of reporters and loyalists on the street, Goldy stood to the side shouting questions about the spike in the murder rate in Canada's metropolis.

As the official ignored her, and "Tory! Tory!" chants rose to drown her out, she persisted, calling the candidate "a weak man who won't fight his battles" and a "bad mayor." Yet what must have seemed a clever guerilla pr stunt in the planning received no coverage at all in leading local media.

5,000 now heading north, mystery men hand out cash as migrant "attack caravan" regroups at Guatemala-Mexico border

migrant caravan honduras mexico border
A Central American migrant caravan which was temporarily delayed by the Mexican government has regrouped, resuming their advance towards the US border on Sunday, according to AP.

The number of migrants swelled overnight to approximately 5,000 as the mile-long caravan set out toward the Mexican town of Tapachula. Several hundred asylum seekers have reportedly applied for refugee status in Mexico, while an estimated 1,500 remain on the Guatemalan side of the Suchiate River in the hopes of entering Mexico legally.

Comment: From the article:
Leftist billionaire George Soros is funding the well-organized anti-Trump migrant caravan invasion from Central America that has been hitting the United States-Mexico border in defiance of immigration enforcement.

Several major ultra-liberal foundations and corporations have supported the asylum-seeking migrant caravans, and Soros' funding has been tied to several groups that have spearheaded the "refugee" invasion coalition - also dubbed "the Soros Express."

Why is the country whose oppression they are allegedly fleeing helping them leave? The answer is remittances, the money sent back home by so-called "migrants." Asylum is in large part a colossal scam designed to provide Latin American countries with a political and economic safety valve and a cash cow of foreign exchange. In 2017, remittances sent back to Honduras totaled $4.33 billion and make up a significant part of the Honduran economy.
