Leftists use mass censorship because they don't have the guts to engage in fair debate

free speech
Why is censorship the go-to tactic for leftists? Well, if you ask them they won't deny their love affair with the memory hole. In fact, most leftists will vehemently defend censorship as absolutely moral and for the "greater good." Their position is basically this: We live in a "society", and some ideas, thoughts and words are "dangerous" and destructive to that society. Therefore, those ideas and words must be eliminated from open discussion so they can protect society from itself.

But who gets to decide which ideas are dangerous and destructive? It's rather convenient that the political left has anointed themselves the pure and objective arbiters of our culture. Purity within leftist groups is measured by expressions of "empathy" (virtue signaling). They are the thought police because, somehow, they believe they are the most empathetic.

True empathy is of course impossible to measure in another human being. You could very well be dealing with a narcissist or psychopath that is very good at pretending they care and have a conscience. They might say all the right things and have all the right opinions in public, but in their private lives they are malicious and take pleasure in causing pain in others. Humans are utterly fallible, which is why all systems of freedom seek to decentralize power through checks and balances and avoid mass censorship. All systems that value freedom and peace seek to eliminate the existence of thought police.

Technocrats demand meat tax to fight climate change

Environmental economists want to hike price of beef by 56 per cent.

A group of environmental economists in Germany is demanding that huge taxes be imposed on meat products to fight climate change, with calls for beef to be 56 per cent more expensive.

Asserting that livestock is responsible for 13 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions, researchers from TU Berlin's Chair of Sustainable Use of Natural Resources are demanding limitations on meat consumption in order to "attain greenhouse gas neutrality."

"Livestock farming is a huge contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, soil and water pollution, and precious forests are being cleared for pastures and food crops," said the leader of the group, Professor Linus Mattauch.

"Evidence suggests the environmental impacts are so large that the world can't meet climate goals and keep vital ecosystems intact without reducing the consumption of meat - at least in Western high-income countries," he added.

Mattauch wants governments to "start thinking about also taxing meat to reduce its consumption," asserting that this is the "most efficient path to preventing further strain on our planet."

Rebranding coercion: UK gov't now warning NHS staff they have 'professional responsibility' to have covid jab, 1 week after dropping vaccine mandate

refuse covid jab vaccine mandate
© ShutterstockHealth leaders have taken to social media critical of the tone of the letter.
It comes after the Government made U-turn over mandatory vaccinations in England.

The Department of Health and Social Care has warned healthcare professionals that they have a "professional responsibility" to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

Writing to unvaccinated NHS workers today, senior leaders at the DHSC hint at regulator involvement if staff are found to have put patients at risk by not having the vaccine.

Comment: 'The Science' being pushed by government's now contradict the claim by the DHSC, because the jab does not prevent spread, nor does it prevent infection, it only prevents severe illness - a claim that has no scientific data to back it up: 'Inadequate' evidence for vaccine mandate for NHS staff, House of Lords report finds - 126,000 staff would quit if forced

The contrived coronavirus crisis has now been ongoing for nearly 2 years now, and there's absolutely no data showing that being unvaccinated poses any increased risk to anybody, if there was, you can be sure that would be the focus of the letter, not 'professional responsibility'.

Moreover, have the supposed top health bodies forgotten about natural immunity? That provides demonstrably superior protection across the board; even the US' CDC have been forced to admit that much.

Comment: The data is actually showing that the vaccinated carry a higher viral load and remain infectious for longer so a vaccinated healthcare worker is in fact more likely to spread the coronavirus, and a vaccinated person is more likely to suffer not only coronavirus, but there's growing evidence that, for some, there's significant harm being done the immune system, and for some people in certain age groups, particularly the young, the jabs are, ultimately, lethal: Also check out SOTT radio's: NewsReal: Vaccination of Children and Young Adults Correlates With Increase in Deaths

Canada-inspired Freedom Convoy movement is gaining momentum, with trucker demonstrations kicking off in multiple countries.

Canada-style Freedom Convoy protests against Covid-19 limitations and mandatory vaccination spilled into additional countries over the weekend as the movement gained traction globally.

In Europe, where trucker convoys from multiple EU member states are expected to "besiege" Brussels on February 14, a major protest was held in Finland's capital, Helsinki.

Dozens of trucks and other vehicles partaking in Convoy Finland flooded the city on Saturday, with participants demanding an end to all coronavirus-related restrictions and the resignation of the government, as well as fuel-price cuts.

Border Patrol arrests at Mexico border hit record high last year

New data shows U.S. Border Patrol agents made roughly 1.9 million arrests in 2021 - a record number consistent with the significant elevation in attempted crossing at the country's southern border.

According to a Wall Street Journal report, close to 20% of those apprehended were released into the U.S. to wait for hearings on their asylum applications. The data disclosure follow a lawsuit filed against the Biden administration last year by the attorneys general of Missouri and Texas that is attempting to block the federal government from stopping the Trump-era Remain in Mexico policy.

Since the suit's filing, a federal judge has ordered the administration to restart the policy, which requires migrants to wait in Mexico for their asylum hearings while the case pends in the courts.

The Department of Homeland Security says this administration has prioritized the use of Title 42, a public health law that can be used to turn back migrants before they can claim asylum.

Last week, border patrol agents reportedly complained to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz about the practice of releasing illegal migrants into the U.S. - which has been dubbed by some "catch and release" and was established during the Obama administration.

Ottawa police threaten to arrest anyone providing material support to Freedom Convoy; organizers respond

Police confrontation

"The notion that the government can arrest a Canadian for providing food to another Canadian is perhaps the most unCanadian thing I've heard so far," said the Freedom Convoy's attorney in response.

On Sunday as the Freedom Convoy organizers held a press conference to discuss their actions in Ottawa, Ottawa police announced that anyone who provides material support to the truckers may be subject to arrest.

Judge blocks schools from enforcing Pritzker's mask, vaccine mandates, refers to policies as 'type of evil'

Students attending one of the 145 schools across Illinois who are part of a sweeping lawsuit won't have to wear a mask if they don't want to, unless they're given due process. Same goes for certain school staff who don't want to take weekly COVID-19 tests for not being vaccinated. They must also have due process.

In a 30-page ruling late Friday, Sangamon County Circuit Court Judge Raylene Grischow "deemed null and void" the governor's emergency rules through the Illinois Department of Public Health concerning COVID-19 mitigations for schools.

Grischow wrote:
"The arbitrary method as to contact tracing and masking in general continue to raise fair questions as to the legality of the Executive Orders in light of violations of healthy children's substantive due process rights. Statutory rights have attempted to be bypassed through the issuance of Executive Orders and Emergency Rules ... This type of evil is exactly what the law was intended to constrain."
Schools impacted by litigation brought by more than 700 parents and dozens of school staff are temporarily restrained from enforcing Gov. J.B. Pritzker's COVID-19 mask and vaccine mandates. After the ruling, Pritzker said the state will appeal. Pritzker's mandates for masks and exclusion policies in schools and vaccines or testing for teachers have been in place since last fall.

Parents boiling over Meatless Fridays at NYC schools

© Twitter/@jessicaramos
Parents of New York City schoolchildren have taken to social media to share photos of what they believe are inadequate school lunches. On Thursday, NYC Mayor Eric Adams mandated 'vegan Fridays' in all city public schools, claiming this would serve to improve public health.

Judging by the photos posted on Twitter on the first meatless Friday, children were served dry black bean tacos, bags of fries, a banana along with stir fries and other packaged snacks.

One parent said that while she, too, believed in the virtues of healthy eating, the kind of food served to schoolchildren on Friday did not fall into that category. She also pointed out that some students from less well-to-do families rely on school meals to get the nutrients they need. The woman described Adams' initiative as not "thought through."

Another twitter user said that "most of the kids dumped this in the garbage or just ate the cookies," and complained that the meal "smelled like armpits & it was completely unappetizing." The woman then asked why would the city authorities "remove options for students?"

Cops arrest seven after raiding cult whose members are CASTRATED live on film

Police have arrested seven men including a suspect in his sixties linked to a 'bizarre' castration cult who have intimate body parts removed live on pay per view streams all orchestrated by a ringleader nicknamed 'The Eunuch Maker', it was revealed today.

The group is likely inspired by asexual Japanese artist Mao Sugiyama who had his penis and testicles surgically removed nine years ago, aged 23, to serve as a meal to five guests at an exclusive banquet. He would later have his nipples cut off.

The Met Police has revealed it raided a property in Finsbury Park, North London, and spent three days there removing desktop computers, laptops and other items in plastic evidence bags.

It is alleged that removal of body parts were carried out in the basement flat and screened on a pay-per-view basis, via an adult channel boosted by a Twitter account.

New Jersey Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy is lifting the school COVID-19 mask mandate for students and staffers across the state.

Murphy, who has been responsible for imposing some of the nation's strictest pandemic mandates, will officially announce the policy reversal Monday afternoon. The policy will take effect the second week of March, as the pandemic reaches its two-year anniversary.

Last month, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, a fellow Democrat, opted to roll back his state's school mask mandate.

Students having to wear the masks has resulted in widespread debate among parents, elected officials, school officials, health and public policy experts and others, increasing as the pandemic nears its third years.
