Humanitarian affairs official Martin Griffiths has warned of a global crisis unless Israel and Hamas end hostilities.

Israel's bombing of the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza is just "the latest atrocity" to befall the Palestinian people living in the enclave, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths has said.

Hamas reported on Tuesday that as many as 400 Palestinians had been killed or injured by an Israeli attack on the densely populated Jabalia camp. An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson later confirmed the attack, stating the airstrikes had targeted a "very important" Hamas commander and his unit. The IDF representative called the civilian casualties a tragedy, but ultimately blamed their deaths on the Hamas leadership, saying it had "embedded itself among the civilian population."

Israel's goal to open Ben Gurion Canal

Israel, which has been bombarding Gaza for days, aims to realize the Ben Gurion Canal, which will create a new route for global energy and trade.

It has been revealed that the Ben Gurion Canal, which opens to the Red Sea from the Gaza-Ashkelon line, is behind Israel's genocide and dehumanization plan in Gaza. Within the scope of the plan, Israel aims to push Egypt further into a corner by eliminating Suez in the global trade and energy corridor and becoming a global trade and energy logistics center. Experts are of the opinion that this situation will shake the strategic-energy balance of China's Belt and Road Project and the Mediterranean, along with the Strait of Hormuz, which is the transfer point of 30 percent of the world's energy, and may trigger a global war.

ALTERNATIVE TO SUEZ

The Ben Gurion Canal, which the Israeli regime plans to build as an alternative to Suez, is a 260-kilometer corridor extending from the Gaza-Ashkelon region to the Red Sea. The Ben Gurion Canal, which will draw a new route for global energy and trade, also means economic and commercial destruction for Egypt, which earns billions of dollars annually from Suez.

Energy-geopolitical expert Mehmet Ogutcu draws attention to the postponed visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Türkiye before the Gaza crisis that started on October 7 and the historic agreements to be signed between Saudi Arabia and Israel on October 10. Ogutcu emphasized that the G-20 Summit Economic Corridor in India, which excludes Türkiye, should also be taken into consideration.

"There was a will to change the balance with the corridor from Mumbai to Europe following the Saudi Arabia-Dubai-Israel-Greece route. The deal to transport Israeli gas to the market via Turkey had reached the final stage. Now that stage is far behind and the chances of compensating for the damage caused have diminished," he said.

Jewish anti-Semitism towards Arabs was Hamas's strategic opportunity on October 7 - Still Is*

anti-Semitism
The Semites, the Semitic peoples, and speakers of the Semitic languages started as a figment of the German imagination in the late 18th century and early 19th century.

It quickly became a German racial epithet, used in contrast to Aryan. By the time Adolf Hitler came along, this was the pseudo-scientific doctrine in which the Germans lumped both the Jews and the Arabs into a single category - the inferiors of the Aryans.

That is one of the reasons Hitler refused to listen to the advice of his general staff on aiding the Arab nationalist forces in Iraq, Syria and Palestine in the Wehrmacht's war plans against the British and the Soviet Union. The pseudo-science of Semitism and Aryanism, and the idea of anti-Semitism which the Germans, together with the British and Americans, adopted in the run-up to World War II was spelled out at Harvard University by an anthropologist called Carleton Coon; he cribbed directly from German academics, turning out papers on the Berbers of Morocco and advancing his racial superiority-inferiority ideas between 1925 and 1939. When the war began, Coon joined the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) where he demonstrated his keenness for pistol shooting, hare-brained sabotage missions, and homicidal mania. Among his wartime schemes he proposed to remove the Arabs of the Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia) as unfit to rule; replace them with the restoration of the French empire; and kill those French officials whom Coon judged to get his way. He was one of the planners of the assassination of Admiral Francois Darlan, the French military commander, in Algiers on December 24, 1942; Coon's pistol was the murder weapon.**

Good start: Jordan recalls ambassador from Israel to protest carnage in war with Hamas

Amman accuses Jewish state of 'killing innocents' and causing 'humanitarian catastrophe' in Gaza; South American countries also call their envoys home

Jordan recalled its ambassador to Israel on Wednesday in protest of the "humanitarian catastrophe" in the Gaza Strip and the mounting civilian death toll in Israel's war against Hamas.

Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi told envoy Rasan al-Majali to return to Amman "as an expression of Jordan's position of rejection and condemnation of the raging Israeli war on Gaza, which is killing innocent people and causing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe," according to a statement released by Jordan's Foreign Ministry.

Jordan also asked Israel's Foreign Ministry to tell Ambassador Rogel Rachman, who was temporarily called back to Israel because of security threats in Jordan, not to return to Amman.

Comment: Although not as prominent as Palestine, Egypt or Lebanon, Jordan has had its issues with Israel over the years. Perhaps they are finally fed up with the psychos next door?

War whore Lindsey Graham: Civilian casualties in Gaza 'don't matter'

Lindsey Graham
FILE: US Senator Lindsey Graham
Lindsey Graham insists no amount of Palestinian deaths should make the Washington put the brakes on Israel

The US should stand by Israel in its campaign against Hamas no matter how heavy a toll it takes on the civilian population in Gaza, Senator Lindsey Graham has argued. He likened Israel's military operation against the militants to the allies' struggle against Nazi Germany and Japan during World War II.

In an interview with CNN on Tuesday, Graham was asked if there was a "threshold" for him, after which he would start questioning Israel's tactics. The Republican replied in the negative, saying there is no limit as to "what Israel should do to the people who are trying to slaughter the Jews."

"This idea that Israel has to apologize for attacking Hamas, who's embedded with their own population, needs to stop," the senator insisted, adding that it is Hamas that is "creating these casualties - not Israel."

Comment: Graham has never met a military action he didn't like: Please, please South Carolina, turf this scum out of office at the first opportunity.

Best of the Web: The world plummets into eschatological frenzy: Unraveling the implications

The eschatological fervor of the Palestine crisis is reaching a deafening peak. Officials worldwide are dropping their masks, and inadvertently revealing the Biblical strain of the conflict.

At every turn, political figures now soak their proclamations in Biblical reference and allegory. The foremost of which was Netanyahu, who has now invoked an assortment of Biblical prophecies as dogwhistles to stir his people into an eschatological frenzy.

Here he not only invokes the prophecy of Isaiah, but frames the conflict as that of "light" versus "darkness" and good versus evil, painting the Palestinians as the Children of Darkness to be vanquished by the Chosen Ones:

The Isaiah prophecy he appears to speak of is the following:
Isaiah 60:18 ESV

Violence shall no more be heard in your land,
devastation or destruction within your borders;
you shall call your walls Salvation,
and your gates Praise.
But then, more controversially, he invoked the Biblical blood-enemy of Amalek:

Notes From The Edge Of The Narrative Matrix

The response to the Gaza crisis from western leaders and media outlets and celebrities shows very clearly that we really are led by the least among us. The least wise. The least intelligent. The least compassionate. The least insightful. We are ruled by sociopaths and morons.

You are being offered two narratives to choose from:
  1. Palestinians in Gaza are evil orc-like savages who just want to murder Jews and must therefore be caged and killed.
  2. Palestinians in Gaza are thinking human beings who are reacting to intolerable abuses inflicted upon them.
Which is more believable?

We're being told that Israel needs to wage a relentless bombing campaign which is killing civilians by the thousands in order to eliminate Hamas, because Hamas must be destroyed to achieve a lasting peace. Every part of this is transparently false.

Netanyahu rules out Gaza ceasefire

Benny
© Times of Israel/AP/KJNPM of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu
The Israeli prime minister likened the international community's plea for peace to a demand that his country surrender to Hamas...

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu categorically rejected the idea of a ceasefire in Gaza, equating any pause in hostilities to a victory for Hamas during a press conference on Monday.

Netanyahu told reporter:
"Calls for a ceasefire are calls for Israel to surrender to Hamas, to surrender to terrorism, to surrender to barbarism. That will not happen. Just as the United States would not agree to a ceasefire after the bombing of Pearl Harbor or after the terrorist attack of 9/11, Israel will not agree to a cessation of hostilities with Hamas after the horrific attacks of October 7.

"Today, we draw a line between the forces of civilization and the forces of barbarism. If Hamas and Iran's axis of evil wins, you will be their next target."
He vowed to fight until the Palestinian militant group was wiped out.

Netanyahu argued that countries that failed to align themselves with Israel in "a war for our common future" were placing themselves in harm's way.

"If Hamas and Iran's axis of evil wins, you will be their next target," he warned, vowing to fight until the Palestinian militant group was wiped out.

Comment: BN knows: A forceful lie - if successfully misinterpreted and then appropriated - becomes a belief to the gullible, clueless and wanna-bes. Netanyahu never considered a Gaza ceasefire.

Putin names culprits behind anti-Jewish riot in Dagestan

Vlad

The US is seeking to incite chaos in order to hold on to hegemony, the Russian president has claimed...

Sunday's anti-Semitic riot in Russia's Republic of Dagestan was inspired by Western intelligence services from the territory of Ukraine and is part of a broader effort to destabilize the world, President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.

Putin was speaking at a meeting convened with the entire Russian leadership, including the cabinet and both speakers of parliament, to discuss western attempts to sow division in the country. The meeting follows an anti-Jewish riot in the Republic of Dagestan, sparked by fake news on a Ukraine-linked Telegram channel claiming that 'refugees' from Israel were scheduled to arrive in the Muslim majority region.

Putin, in his opening remarks at the evening meeting, said:
"The events in Makhachkala were inspired through social networks, including from the territory of Ukraine, by agents of Western special services."

Aides believe Zelensky is 'delusional' - Time

The Ukrainian leader is now reportedly looking for scapegoats after his failed counteroffensive, the magazine reports...

Top officials in Kiev believe that the increasingly "messianic" President Vladimir Zelensky has become delusional, Time magazine reported on Monday.

The Western-backed leader is expected to launch a "major shake-up" of the country's military and political leadership, the US publication added, citing his aides.

The looming reshuffle is intended to demonstrate "accountability" for the lack of progress in the stalled counteroffensive against Russia, as well as deal with the apparently growing opposition to Zelensky's desire to continue the hostilities no matter what.

Zelensky remains adamant in his desire to 'defeat' Russia on the battlefield, but his "stubbornness" has become borderline "messianic." One of the president's advisers on condition of anonymity said:
"He deludes himself. We're out of options. We're not winning. But try telling him that."
