During a joint interview with Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, half a dozen former Mossad intelligence agency chiefs voiced their dissatisfaction with Benjamin Netanyahu and his policies.

Six former top Israeli spies criticized the country's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claiming that his leadership puts Israel's future in jeopardy.

Danny Yatom, who was in charge of Mossad during the late 1990s, commented on the ongoing corruption investigations targeting the Israeli leader, claiming that Netanyahu and his cohorts put "their interests ahead of national interests."

He also berated Netanyahu for his apparent reluctance to pursue the so called 'two-state solution' in the conflict with the Palestinians, as according to Yatom, "the inertia in the diplomatic sphere" which leads the country toward a bi-national state with the Palestinians threatens Israel's status "as a Jewish and democratic state."

US and UK's lackeys expel Russian diplomats while May considers more moves - still no proof has been presented

Britain and the EU could take further measures against Russia by June, Prime Minister Theresa May's official spokesman has said. The statement came after May said that 130 plus people could have been exposed in Salisbury incident.

The British Government has confirmed they are considering tougher sanctions and announced a June deadline for a report for the EU Council. The UK has been attempting to punish Russia deeming them as "culpable" for the poisoning of Sergei Skripal, a former double agent, and his daughter Yulia.

British Prime Minister Theresa May said that more than 130 people could have been exposed to the nerve agent, identified by the UK as A-234 - also known as 'Novichok'. "We assess that more than 130 people in Salisbury could have been potentially exposed to this nerve agent," May said in a statement delivered to parliament on Monday. The PM also accused Russia of covering up the use of chemical weapons in Syria by the Assad government, a claim the Kremlin refutes.

Russian ambassador to US, Anatoly Antonov: Russia will not let itself be provoked into emotional breakdown

According to Anatoly Antonov "the blow to official representatives and missions of Russia" means actions aimed at confrontation, and "there is no justification for it"

Washington's words about its readiness for cooperation with Moscow do not meet the actions, and, contrary to the assurances, the policy of the former administration continues, Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov said in a statement for the press.

"Washington's actions are indicative of very disturbing symptoms. The words about the readiness for cooperation do not meet the actions. Contrary to the assurances, the policy of the previous administration has continued," he said.

According to him "the blow to official representatives and missions of Russia" means actions aimed at confrontation, and "there is no justification for it."

Paul Craig Roberts: Integrity and morality has vanished from the West

War is Peace
© George Orwell/1984
Among Western political leaders there is not an ounce of integrity or morality. The Western print and TV media is dishonest and corrupt beyond repair. Yet the Russian government persists in its fantasy of "working with Russia's Western partners." The only way Russia can work with crooks is to become a crook. Is that what the Russian government wants?

Finian Cunningham notes the absurdity in the political and media uproar over Trump (belatedly) telephoning Putin to congratulate him on his reelection with 77 percent of the vote, a show of public approval that no Western political leader could possibly attain. The crazed US senator from Arizona called the person with the largest majority vote of our time "a dictator." Yet a real blood-soaked dictator from Saudi Arabia is feted at the White House and fawned over by the president of the United States.

The Western politicians and presstitutes are morally outraged over an alleged poisoning, unsupported by any evidence, of a former spy of no consequence on orders by the president of Russia himself. These kind of insane insults thrown at the leader of the world's most powerful military nation-and Russia is a nation, unlike the mongrel Western countries-raise the chances of nuclear Armageddon beyond the risks during the 20th century's Cold War. The insane fools making these unsupported accusations show total disregard for all life on earth. Yet they regard themselves as the salt of the earth and as "exceptional, indispensable" people.

Russian Embassy: Trump can still prevent fallout from 'fake news' about Skripal

The Trump administration can still prevent negative repercussions that the alleged Salisbury poisoning case of Russian ex-Colonel Sergei Skripal may have concerning the ties between Washington and Moscow, the Russian Embassy in the US said on Sunday.

"The White House may still be able to prevent any negative consequences of this fake story for the very little positive stuff left in Russian-American relations. Ties between Russia and the US are more comprehensive, and strategic stability throughout the globe depends on them. They should not be held hostage by such clearly orchestrated scenarios," the Russian diplomatic mission said.

US had access to Novichok formula for decades - anyone with the right chemicals can make it

Russia has documents pointing to the fact that the US was developing the gas "Novichok", said the head of the laboratory of chemical and analytical control of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Igor Rybalchenko.

The expert condemned Mirzoyanov's publication of information (original developer of the gas, who moved to the US in 1996) on the production of chemical weapons.

Comment: There never has been any verifiable evidence for why Russia would be to blame for Skripal. In an apparent attempt to establish control over Syria's oil deposits, the United States has begun the construction of a major military installation in Deir Ez-Zor province, according to a high-ranking representative of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Mehdi Kobani, the SDF's press secretary in Deir Ez-Zor, told Sputnik Turkiye that the new US military base is being built in the vicinity of al-Omar oilfield -the biggest oil deposit in Syria.
"The US is building a large military base in the oil-rich Al Omar region of Deir ez-Zor province. Due to security concerns we cannot provide information about the acreage of this new installation. There is currently construction machinery working in the vicinity of the base, and security is being provided by SDF forces," he said.

George Galloway - US expulsion of Russian diplomats is 'declaration of war'

British politician, broadcaster, and writer George Galloway has slammed Donald Trump's decision to expel 60 Russian diplomats and close the Russian consulate in Seattle. Galloway regards it as tantamount to a "declaration of war."

Galloway contrasted the US' actions with those of EU member states. Those EU countries who rushed to follow the lead of Britain and the US in response to the poisoning of former spy Sergei Skripal are simply acting as "vassal states," doing what they are told.

European states have "made a fairly desultory expulsion of a diplomat or two or three, but the United States' act is a kind of declaration of war, all the more surprising given that according to the deep state, and the liberal confluence in the United States, President Trump is Russia's man," Galloway told RT.

Russia's UN envoy: US abusing its rights as host country by expelling Russian diplomats at UN

Washington has abused its power as the host of the UN headquarters when it moved to expel 12 staffers from Russia's mission at the UN, Moscow's envoy Vassily Nebenzia said. He called the decision an "extremely unfriendly" step.

"The expulsion of Russian diplomats as well as other recent unfriendly steps, such as restriction of access to Russian diplomatic property, visa denials to mission staff and other [measures], can be viewed as the US abusing its rights and privileges as the hosting country," Vassily Nebenzia said.

Nebenzia pointed out that the status of the staff at the permanent representations of the countries at the United Nations are regulated by UN conventions, namely the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations of 1946 and the Agreement Between the United Nations and the US Regarding the Headquarters of the United Nations, signed in 1947.
