The Syria carve-up creates a de-facto Israel-Turkey border ensuring a broader ME war

Israeli military forces have moved to within 15 miles of the Syrian Capital of Damascus. The IDF has seized large tracts of land in southern Syria it intends to occupy and where it will eventually build checkpoints, military outposts and settlements. The "lightening" invasion has been accompanied by a massive bombing campaign that has obliterated numerous military bases, weapons depots and research labs eliminating any hope that Syria will regain the ability to defend itself or to reestablish its sovereign independence. For all practical purposes, Syria no longer exists; the persistent attacks of foreign enemies have left the country vanquished and splintered. The carve-up of the critically located nation-state has already begun.

At the same time the IDF is closing in on Damascus, US Forces along the Turkish border have started building a military base in the city of Kobani. The move is intended to provoke Turkey into a confrontation that will pit Washington's Kurdish proxy militia against the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA). The situation is fraught with danger as it increases the likelihood that two NATO members will soon clash in northeastern Syria.

Why Greenland is of growing strategic significance

Donald Trump seems more insistent than ever on controlling Greenland, but regardless of his controversial intentions, the island is of real strategic importance.

Donald Trump wouldn't categorically rule out using the U.S. military to take control of Greenland, saying that America needs it — as well as the Panama Canal — for "economic security." Amid intense kickback from Denmark — a NATO ally of which Greenland is an autonomous territoryand other countries, it's worth looking in more detail at the significance of the island, which is one of the world's largest, in economic, geostrategic, and, above all, military terms.

Trump's interest in Greenland has made headlines in recent days, although his designs on the territory are far from new. Back in 2019, TWZ reported on President Trump's claim that his administration was considering attempting to purchase Greenland from Denmark, the U.S. leader noting at the time that the idea was "strategically interesting."

Since then, Trump's territorial ambitions for Greenland (and elsewhere) have been ramped up several notches.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, the incoming U.S. president refused to rule out military or economic coercion to bring Greenland and the Panama Canal under U.S. control.

"I can't assure you on either of those two," Trump told reporters. "But I can say this, we need them for economic security."

Netanyahu cancels trip to Trump's inauguration

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not attend US President-elect Donald Trump's upcoming inauguration ceremony, The Times of Israel reported on Thursday, citing the prime minister's senior aide.

Trump will take the oath of office and officially be sworn in as the 47th US president on January 20 at the Capitol in Washington, DC. The Israeli leader had previously been expected to attend the event.

Netanyahu's senior aide did not elaborate on why the trip was cancelled. However, some media reports cited the Israeli prime minister's recent prostate surgery, claiming Netanyahu had been advised to rest following the procedure.

The now-cancelled trip to Washington would have been Netanyahu's first trip abroad since an arrest warrant against him and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant was issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in November. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice.

Comment: 'No rest for the wicked', Netanyahu has 'other compulsories' to tick off his agenda.

Zelensky accuses US firms of corruption

Kiev has not received half the funds it was promised, due to "lobbyist" practices by the American military, the Ukrainian leader claimed.

US corporate "corruption" and "lobbying" are to blame for Ukraine not receiving half the military aid it has been promised by Washington, Vladimir Zelensky has claimed.

The Ukrainian leader stated last month that while the US has allocated around $177 billion to finance Kiev since the escalation of the conflict with Russia in 2022, not all the funds or assistance packages have been delivered.

During an interview with podcaster Lex Fridman on Sunday, Zelensky claimed that he'd appealed to Washington to be allowed use Ukraine's own fleet of cargo planes to deliver aid to avoid paying transport fees.
"No. I didn't get this opportunity. My jets stayed put, and the US jets, cargo jets moved these weapons. But everywhere you have to spend money. Kiev could have spent the money to buy more arms instead. Is this corruption or not? Or lobbyism?"
"You mean corruption on the part of US companies?" asked Fridman.

"Yes, making such decisions," clarified Zelensky.

Comment: Consider this a drug-induced tantrum of an idiot, full of sound and fury signifying nothing.

What does Russia mean by "demilitarize and denazify" Ukraine?

Let me remind you what Vladimir Putin said at the start of the Special Military Operation (SMO) in February 2022:
"The purpose of this operation is to protect people who for eight years now have been facing humiliation and genocide perpetrated by the Kyiv regime," he said, according to an English translation from the Russian Mission in Geneva. "To this end, we will seek to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine, as well as bring to trial those who perpetrated numerous bloody crimes against civilians, including against citizens of the Russian Federation."
Official Washington and most military analysts continue to ignore Putin's words and insist that Russia's goal was to capture all of Ukraine. As my old friend, Ray McGovern, repeatedly has emphasized over the past three years: pay attention to what Putin says.

Comment: A good summation of the current situation in Ukraine. Russia is incrementally chewing away at Ukraine's military capabilities, and all the arms the US and NATO can still trickle in will make absolutely no difference to the outcome except in the final Ukrainian body count. Not that that matters at all to the West.

Netanyahu committee says Israel must prepare for war with Turkey

Israel Must Prepare for War with Turkey
The ousting of Syrian President Bashar al Assad has put the United States, Israel and Turkey on a fast-track to a broader and more violent conflagration. By removing Assad and obliterating the state, the coup managers created a power vacuum that has been filled by the proxy armies of the most vicious and aggressive nations in the world all of whom are now prepared to intensify the fighting in order to determine the final borders of the New Middle East. The gravity of the situation has not been lost on the media which is sounding increasingly hysterical with every passing day. Consider, for example, a few of the headlines that appeared in newspapers on Wednesday:

Elon Musk brands British PM 'evil'

Keir Starmer refuses to investigate rape gangs because he is hiding "terrible things," the billionaire has claimed

SpaceX CEO and X owner Elon Musk has hammered British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for his refusal to prosecute Pakistani gangs involved in the mass rape of underage British girls, calling the PM "evil" incarnate.

"Starmer is evil," Musk wrote on his social platform on Wednesday morning, above a meme condemning Starmer for demanding an investigation into former Prime Minister Boris Johnson's lockdown-breaching parties during the Covid-19 pandemic, but declining to prosecute "politically protected UK rape gangs."

Comment:

Question: Why is Musk occupied with this topic, is it any of his concern? There may be more than one motive, but here is what he himself wrote here and here:

Question: Is there any indication that Keir Starmer has anything to hide?
Starmer 'guilty as anyone I know', says grooming gang whistleblower (January 7, 2025)
"Conservatives and Labour are all equally to blame [in my opinion], and Keir Starmer as former DPP is perhaps as guilty as anyone I know in where we find ourselves today.

"We all know what's going on, but I don't trust a single one of those who to date have been entrusted with keeping our children safe and prosecuting serial rapists. They've failed. Repeatedly. Knowingly. Criminally." [- Maggie Oliver]

Below are other articles related to grooming gangs: 4)"Tip of the iceberg"? 5)
If Theresa May was honest enough to say that Pedophilia in Britain 'woven into the fabric of society' and if May and Rudd suppress Westminster pedophile docs - because "national security" then a justified interpretation would be that not only sections of the political and financial elite are involved but also members of the British military brass, MI6 and MI5. If it also true, as Liz Truss found out during her short stint as British PM, that the PM is not really that much of a chief but more told what to do, then the extent, to which Keir Starmer is "evil", is perhaps less important than what he is complicit in covering up, and who is telling him. Is Musk aware of how deep the rabbit hole probably goes? If he is clueless, it is a pity, but better begin somewhere than nowhere.

6)
Apart from a wish to cover up elite pedophilia and the activity of grooming gangs, some elites may also have an interest in allowing the gangs to operate because it helps them not only to let their own dealings melt into the general confusion, but also to divide and weaken the fabric of society by creating divisions which can then be used to help them maintain power, as in divide and conquer. By letting the grooming gangs doing what they do, hate is build up against those many in the same overrepresented group who are not involved. In that way they are not being protected against a possible general and uncontrolled backlash. Is that fair? Is it intentional?

7)
As serious as this problem is in British society, where were the concerns for what the UK establishment has helped to work out in Ukraine and Israel, where people were not raped in the tens of thousands, but killed in the hundreds of thousands. Question

Why is Russiagate's origin story redacted?

mccabe

In a parting gesture of defiance, the FBI releases a long-awaited document, blotting most of it out. Journalist Aaron Maté explains why the Bureau's FOIA follies matter.

On January 11, 2019, at the peak of Russiagate mania and months before the release of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's deflating report, the New York Times for the first time made public a remarkable fact. In "FBI Opened Inquiry Into Whether Trump Was Secretly Working on Behalf of Russia," a trio of Times reporters revealed that in the days after Donald Trump's May 2017 firing of FBI Director James Comey, the Bureau "began investigating whether he had been working on behalf of Russia."

The country first learned the FBI was investigating "any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government" when Comey testified in Congress in March, 2017. Comey then was referring to the FBI's much-ballyhooed Crossfire Hurricane probe, which was opened in July, 2016 and targeted the likes of George Papadopoulos and Carter Page.

This second FBI probe disclosed by the Times in 2019 carried far more explosive implications, making its delayed disclosure unusual. It's one thing for the FBI to investigate possible "links" between foreigners and a presidential campaign. It's another for Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe to open an investigation into whether a sitting president, i.e. his boss, is "working on behalf of Russia."

One million dead claim justice

Zelskulls

The Maidan coup is behind the loss of about a million human lives and will have to be the basis, the starting point for a necessary and fair trial of everyone associated with it.

I cannot guarantee that the war in Ukraine resulting from the anti-democratic Western coup carried out ten years ago "in the name of democracy", has already caused a million deaths so far, among Ukrainians and also Russians - which, contrary to the single truth imposed by 'our civilization', they are also people.

The number, however, is close to it, it may even exceed it because the daily killings on the battlefields and the "collateral damage" they generate in the societies of both countries, with much greater repercussions in the unfortunate Ukraine, support such a tragic calculation. For example, the size of some Ukrainian cemeteries has been multiplied fourfold since the start of the Russian special military operation, completed through an illegitimate military invasion.

Those responsible for this humanitarian catastrophe, to put a stop to the usual propagandistic delusions of the Euro-"commentary" and national commentators, are the sponsors of the Maidan Square coup in Kiev, successfully launched in 2014 by the main Western powers with the United States - an "exceptional" and "indispensable" nation and its main satellite countries integrated (or dissolved?) in NATO and the European Union at the forefront.
