SOTT Focus: Color Revolution In DC: Anti-Constitutional Coup Or Democratic Security Movement?

DC riots
The unprecedented storming of the US Capitol on Wednesday following Trump's Save America March is a classic Color Revolution tactic, though one which has divided Americans like never before over whether this stunning development is an anti-constitutional coup attempt by the incumbent's supporters in order to help him cling to power instead of abdicating in two weeks' time, or a legitimate "Democratic Security" movement by patriotically inclined people who desperately want to stop the steal and prevent an illegitimate placeholder from seizing power.

Gilad Atzmon: I am so Happy for America

The progressive standoff
© Unknown
Finally it has achieved what its elite has pushed for.

America is a united country: its senate, congress and future president are guided by the same 'progressive' ideology that is also shared by its financial elite, cultural industry, academia and of course, the mainstream media.

America is institutionally united but Americans couldn't be more divided.

The United States has been a social testing ground for a while. But from now on until further notice, there is no established or institutional opposition to this groundbreaking experiment.

But I am optimistic, I would give it the necessary time. We may find out soon that all these so-called rebellious 'reactionaries,' 'cowboys,' 'rednecks,' and 'deplorables' actually like the new cultural and spiritual offering. They may be quick to adopt the revolutionary spirit. They might, for instance, agree to dump their delusional beliefs in gender being a binary matter. Give it four years or even eight, not one American will be able to recall what man or woman meant.

Beijing has introduced a series of tough restrictions on movement and socializing in the capital of Hebei province after 63 locally transmitted cases were registered; officials say the tally will continue to rise.

On Wednesday, Chinese authorities imposed travel restrictions and banned gatherings in the capital city of Hebei province, Shijiazhuang, in an effort to prevent a damaging second wave of Covid-19.

Hebei province, which surrounds but does not include the capital city Beijing, entered a "wartime mode" on Tuesday.

The provincial health commission said on Wednesday that 20 locally transmitted cases and 43 asymptomatic cases had been recorded in Hebei on Tuesday, 19 of which were in Shijiazhuang.

The Chinese Centre for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) deputy director, Feng Zijian, said on Tuesday night that potential infections could be higher.

According to state news agency Xinhua, passenger train services have been suspended in and out of Shijiazhuang, a city of 11 million, to prevent the further spread of the disease. Its long-range bus terminal has also been closed.

A statement from the city's airport says that all departing travelers are to present a negative Covid-19 test, at most 72 hours old, before boarding a train or airplane.

Comment: Every once in a while you have to remind people that you control them.

Welcome to 2021.

Edward Snowden, others, warn of consequences to Trump's Facebook ban: 'Turning point in the battle for control'

Edward Snowden and others have reacted to news, and ensuing celebration, that Facebook will ban content from Donald Trump for two weeks by warning that giving such power to social media platforms sets a dangerous precedent.

Many are celebrating the announcement by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg that President Trump will be banned from posting content on the social media platform, as well as Instagram, for at least the next two weeks following violence at the US Capitol - but others are warning that this moment could have dire consequences for free speech in the near future.

"Facebook officially silences the President of the United States," Snowden tweeted on Thursday in reaction to the news. The whistleblower said the decision "will be remembered as a turning point in the battle for control over digital speech."

'Imagine an American politician saying I don't want to be elected president with African American votes' โ€” that's Israel!

Yesterday the political reporter Barak Ravid spoke to a liberal Zionist organization and told an audience of American Jews an important political truth: The reason Israel is going to a fourth election in March, and probably a fifth after that, is that Israeli Jewish politicians on the "center-left" refuse to become prime minister with the support of Palestinian voters.

That would be "unheard of" in the U.S., Ravid said. Though this has been the overarching lesson of Israeli politics in the last year โ€” and it has not reduced mainstream Jewish support for Israel one iota.

The Walla news reporter also told the Israel Policy Forum that Israeli government plans to annex the West Bank โ€” which Benjamin Netanyahu announced more than a year ago to a lot of fanfare โ€” are now "dead" because of the opposition of Biden to such plans. This was the achievement of the Israel lobby inside the Democratic Party, when it flexes its muscle.

Comment: Biden probably won't have to deal with Israel if, as everyone suspects, Kamala is waiting in the wings for Creepy Joe to settle into permanent befuddlement. SHE is everything the Zionist goons dream of:

Best of the Web: Democrat pile-on begins: Schumer calls for Trump's removal through 25th Amendment, impeachment

Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday called for President Trump's removal through the 25th Amendment.

The New York lawmaker also called for Congress to reconvene to impeach Trump if Vice President Mike Pence and the Cabinet do not move to invoke the 25th Amendment.

Schumer joins more than two dozen congressional Democrats who are calling for Trump's removal โ€” after his supporters invaded the Capitol on Wednesday to protest Congress' certification of Democrat Joe Biden's Electoral College victory.

Comment: Why are the Dems in such a hurry? The man will be gone in less than two weeks. What are they afraid of that he could accomplish in such a short time?

White House officials are already jumping ship:

Given the rallying round against him, we wouldn't put it past them. When you challenge them, and they get you in a weak position, they'll go for the juglar. They do NOT like having their ivory tower (The Capitol) and powerful self-righteousness assaulted.

Joe Biden's professed foreign policy: How will we know what he really means?

biden
© Justin Sullivan/Getty ImagesIt's all just...fuzzy!
Whenever a new US President is inaugurated, there should more concern about their prospective foreign policy than what they are promising domestically, because the tenor of it affects far more people. Thus, there can often be a serious disconnect between how a president is perceived at home, and how by the rest of the world, inveterate movie cowboy Ronald Reagan providing one such example.

Even Presidents such as Donald Trump, who had a predominantly domestic agenda and an inward-looking voter base, have been judged in this way to begin with. Trump's comments about "draining the swamp", whilst referring to Americans, were widely believed to refer to people and activities outside US borders, where American voters like to believe most of the swamp is, albeit that is far from the truth.

Comment: Based on what knowledge of all Americans - the voting dead, alive, nonexistent or duplicated? The reference was a comment from a Chuck Ross article on Corey Lewandowski December, 2016, former manager of the Trump Campaign then seeking his own public relations firm.

It is clear how most of the world sees the ascension of Joe Biden in simple terms. Trump was an abusive bigot few wanted to be associated with. Biden is a return to civilized values, and things will get back to normal, however, that comes with caveats!

Comment: Biden's history - the truthful one - speaks loudly as to how he will behave as POTUS (for as long as it lasts).

Iraq issues arrest warrant for Trump over Soleimani killing

An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for outgoing President Donald Trump in connection with the killing of an Iranian general and a powerful Iraqi militia leader last year, Iraq's judiciary said.

The warrant was issued by a judge in Baghdad's investigative court tasked with probing the Washington-directed drone strike that killed Gen. Qassim Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the court's media office said. They were killed outside the capital's airport last January.

The arrest warrant was for a charge of premeditated murder, which carries the death penalty on conviction. It is unlikely to be carried out but symbolic in the waning days of Trump's presidency.

The decision to issue the warrant "was made after the judge recorded the statements of the claimants from the family of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis," according to a statement from the Supreme Judicial Council. The investigation into the killings is ongoing, the court said.

EU backs away from Venezuela's Guaido, echoing Biden's moves that he is done

The EU has made a point of not calling former Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido by his adopted title, fueling speculation that the US might relax sanctions without requiring President Nicolas Maduro's exit.

Europe will continue its "engagement" with all Venezuelan "political and social actors," High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said on Tuesday. Rather than refer to Guaido by his self-appointed title of interim president, Borrell merely lumped him in with other representatives of the outgoing National Assembly elected in 2015.

Guaido's official status may have lapsed - his demand that loyal followers stay away from the polls didn't exactly help his reelection prospects - but that hasn't stopped Colombia and other Latin American nations vowing to continue recognizing the no-longer-legitimate government. December's elections also saw the formation of a new legislative branch, rendering more of the National Assembly's duties obsolete - or at least setting up a potential collision course between the 277 new National Assembly appointments and their predecessors, who officially ceased operations on Tuesday.

Capitol riot mean the Republican Party is done with Trump. But he's still a hero to many, so why not start a party of his own?

President Trump is being vilified for events in Washington yesterday and his future is unclear. But with a massive base of followers to call on, he can still play a hugely influential role in US politics - if he wants to.

Clearly, the word 'tensions' fails to describe the political situation in America. The contested presidential election exacerbated bitter antagonisms between the Trump contingent and 'the resistance', rending, perhaps irreparably, what had already been a severely frayed social and political fabric.

At a rally organized by Women for America First, the Eighty Percent Coalition, and Stop the Steal, President Trump delivered a typically provocative speech before an estimated crowd of 250,000 people. After repeating detailed allegations of massive electoral and voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, he ended by calling on protesters to march to the Capitol.
