Now or never: The great 'Transition' must be imposed

Man in window
© Press Black/KJN
Were you following the news this last week? Vaccine mandates are everywhere: one country, after another, is doubling-down, to try to force, or legally compel, full population vaccination. The mandates are coming because of the massive uptick in Covid - most of all in the places where the experimental mRNA gene therapies were deployed en masse. And (no coincidence), this 'marker' has come just as U.S. Covid deaths in 2021 have surpassed those of 2020. This has happened, despite the fact that last year, no Americans were vaccinated (and this year 59% are vaccinated). Clearly no panacea, this mRNA 'surge'.

Of course, the Pharma-Establishment know that the vaccines are no panacea. There are 'higher interests' at play here. It is driven rather by fear that the window for implementing its series of 'transitions' in the U.S. and Europe is closing. Biden still struggles to move his 'Go-Big' social spending plan and green agenda transition through Congress by the midterm election in a year's time. And the inflation spike may well sink Biden's Build Back Better agenda (BBB) altogether.

Comment: "This 'marker' has come". It is that of the beast. Counter-response may be our last 'choice'.

Exposing Turkey's unholy nexus with ISIS

erdogan isis
For years, Turkey — a U.S. ally and NATO member — let ISIS and other violent Salafi (Sunni extremist) groups cross its open border with Syria, which some dubbed the "jihadi highway". Heavily armed ISIS fighters were allowed to freely cross Turkey's border. ISIS has had strong connections to Turkey over the years, whether through its oil industry or through its willingness to shield wanted members of the Muslim Brotherhood. This "neighbourly" relationship was essential to ISIS's success, and it continues to be reflected in Turkish decision-making.

The nexus between Turkey and ISIS was further confirmed by revelations of Abu Mansour al-Maghribi, the emir of ISIS in Turkey, to Prof. Dr. Anne Spekchard during their meeting (2019), the details of which were shared by Dr. Anne during a recent interview with Aydogan, Editor-in-Chief of Politurco, a Turkish media outlet.

Ukrainian President Zelensky gives speech praising Nazi collaborators

Ukrainian president Volodymyr has honored the role of Nazi collaborators during WWII, but failed to mention the soldiers who died serving in the Red Army, while celebrating the anniversary of the country's armed forces.

Speaking on Monday at an event in the city of Kharkov, close to the Russian border, Zelensky proclaimed that "the true history of the development of our Ukrainian Army dates back several centuries."

The head of state mentioned the Kievan Rus era, a former East Slavic monarchy considered to be the predecessor of modern Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. Zelensky referred to the Zaporozhian Cossacks, whose leader signed a treaty with Russia in 1654, fearing domination by the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

Best of the Web: Life In Hell: Germans, Australians forcefully dragged to government COVID quarantine camps

Over a dozen people have been forcibly taken to government isolation centers in Germany, while hundreds are being held in similar centers in Australia as Western countries continue to use mandatory COVID quarantine centers all in the name putting an end to COVID-19.

Germany has started including prisons as quarantine centers and Australia has taken a similar measure by using isolated camps under 24-hour surveillance for the same.

A recent survey by the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag shows that at least 15 people in 10 major German cities have been transferred to quarantine centers since the beginning of the year.

Welt am Sonntag reports that 15 people were violating the COVID-19 requirements for house isolation, 11 in Munich, two in Stuttgart and one in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt.

The full number is likely to be higher because officials in Berlin and Leipzig have not submitted any figures to the paper.

US threatening to cut Russia off from global financial system - Nuland

Nuland

The US State Department, along with America's allies in Europe, is considering the possibility of completely isolating Russia from the global financial system if it attempts to invade Ukraine, it revealed on Tuesday.

Speaking to the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland explored possible ways that Washington could punish Moscow for any military incursion.

"What we are talking about would amount to essentially isolating Russia completely from the global financial system, with all the fallout that would entail for Russian businesses, for the Russian people, for their ability to work and travel and trade," Nuland said.

Comment: The same Nuland who, in reference to the EU's involvement in Ukraine following the US backed coup, infamously said, "F***k the EU".

Comment: Russia has no intention of initiating an invasion of Ukraine, even Ukraine has denied that Russia has troops near its border, which is unusual for Ukraine because it hardly misses an opportunity to smear Russia. However it's likely that Ukraine is being honest this time because NATO has already stated outright that it will not protect it if the West's belligerence causes sparks to fly:

Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife and 11 others died after the Mi-17V5 helicopter came down in hills near Coonoor city on Wednesday morning.

One survivor is being treated for his injuries in hospital.

Gen Rawat, 63, was appointed India's first-ever Chief of Defence Staff in January 2019.

This brought together the Army, the Navy and the Air Force, and Gen Rawat had been in charge of a range of operations including in Indian-administered Kashmir.

Comment: This comes just a few days after Russia and India announced plans for an extensive and long term military partnership.

Senate rejects attempt to block Biden's Saudi arms sale

The Senate on Tuesday night rejected a bipartisan effort to block President Biden's $650 billion arms sale to the Saudi government.

Senators voted 30-67 on the resolution from Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) falling short of the simple majority needed to overcome the procedural hurdle.

Supporters of the resolution pushed to block the arms sale, which includes 280 air-to-air missiles made by Raytheon Technologies, due to Saudi Arabia's role in Yemen's civil war, including an air and naval blockade of Yemen.

"The U.S. should end all arms sales to the Saudis until they end their blockade of Yemen. President Biden said he would change the Trump policy of supporting Saudi's war in Yemen, but it's not at all that apparent that policy has changed," Paul said ahead of the vote.

Jan. 6 committee to start contempt proceedings against Meadows

Mark Meadows
© Olivier Douliery/AFP via Getty Images
The Jan. 6 select committee plans to move forward with contempt proceedings against former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows for his refusal to comply with the panel's subpoena.

Why it matters: The committee has used the threat of contempt — and the associated financial and reputational costs — to try to ensure evasive witnesses sit for their depositions.

Driving the news: Committee Chair Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) told Meadows' attorney George Terwilliger in a letter sent Tuesday that the panel is "left with no choice but to advance contempt proceedings and recommend that the body in which Mr. Meadows once served refer him for criminal prosecution."
  • The letter came after Terwilliger told the panel earlier Tuesday that Meadows would "decline the opportunity to appear voluntarily" for a planned deposition after failing to appear for one last month.
  • Thompson also skewered Meadows for writing in a book some of the information the committee is seeking from him. "That he would sell his telling of the facts of that day while denying a congressional committee the opportunity to ask him about the attack on our Capitol marks an historic and aggressive defiance of Congress," he wrote in the letter.

'Criminal' for Russia to allow NATO move into Ukraine - Putin

Putin
© Sputnik/Mikhail Metzel
Russia has legitimate fears over the risk of American military hardware being stationed close to its borders, the country's president, Vladimir Putin, has said, insisting he still hopes talks with Washington can ease tensions.

Speaking alongside Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at a press conference in Sochi on Wednesday, Putin said that "it would be criminal inaction on our side to spinelessly watch all that's taking place" when it comes to the prospect of neighboring Ukraine joining NATO.

According to him, "Russia conducts peace-loving foreign policy, but we have a right to provide for our own safety," cautioning that the US-led military bloc's weapons could be deployed further and further eastwards if Kiev's long-standing hopes for membership were granted.

However, Putin added, negotiations held the day before with American President Joe Biden could still help to de-escalate tensions that have flared between Moscow and Washington in recent weeks. "The talks were very open, substantive, and constructive. I hope that the American side sees the results the same way. We have the possibility of continuing the dialogue, that's the most important thing," the Russian leader added.

The billionaire balloon

The super-rich are getting stupid rich: New data out today shows the share of global wealth held by the richest slice of humanity swelled by almost a full percentage point during the pandemic.

Driving the news: The top 0.01% of individuals now hold about 11% of the world's wealth, compared to just over 10% in 2020, according to the "World Inequality Report 2022," written by Lucas Chancel, Thomas Piketty, Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman.

Why it matters: Governments around the world spent vast sums to battle the pandemic, fueling massive appreciation in stocks and real estate.

The increase in billionaires' share of wealth from 2020 to 2021 was the steepest on record, the report says.

Zoom out: The study found poverty increased sharply in countries with weak welfare coverage. But massive government support in the U.S. and Europe mitigated some impact on lower earners, Reuters notes.

Go deeper: Read the report ... 236-page PDF.

Comment: Instilling fear and total control among the masses might be devastating for the finances of the average person, but it clearly has been profitable for the super wealthy.
