The World Economic Forum's global governance 'E.S.G.' agenda: The threat to liberty you haven't heard of

schwab
In March of 2020 COVID-19 spread to the shores of the United States, introducing a medical threat that had all the signs of devastating families from sea to shining sea. But in the shadows, slipping in under the veil of a potentially deadly pandemic, another threat loomed. This threat, known as ESG, was not airborne or viral in the traditional sense. This threat was birthed in the imaginations of banks, corporations, and governments, and much like COVID, this threat is going to alter the life of millions of people worldwide.

ESG is an acronym that stands for Environmental, Social (Justice), and (Corporate) Governance. The goal of ESG, as World Economic Forum founder Klaus Schwab stated in Shaping the Future of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, is to utilize investors to move corporations into a more socially progressive direction; moving technologies and businesses away from the current models of doing business to a new stakeholder method of business.
"Entrepreneurs and Investors are the vanguard when it comes to marrying a values-based approach to technological development...It makes sense that thinking about broader social impact at this stage would have significant cascading effects. Investors, on the other hand, have the carrot with which to direct the development of technologies...The values of entrepreneurs and organizational leaders have a tremendous influence on the workplace and how technologies are developed. Leading from the front can transform company culture and prioritize societal values."

Turkey blocks Deutsche Welle and Voice of America for refusing to apply for broadcast license

Deutsche Welle
German and American broadcasters Deutsche Welle and Voice of America are now impossible to access in Turkey without going through a VPN. The country's media watchdog says that they do not have the correct operating license.
Turkey's media watchdog has banned access to the Turkish services of US public service broadcaster Voice of America and German broadcaster Deutsche Welle, prompting criticism of censorship.

The Supreme Board of Radio and Television enforced a February decision requiring international media that air television content in Turkish online to apply for a broadcast license. An Ankara court ruled to restrict access to the websites of the state-owned Deutsche Welle and Voice of America late Thursday.

Neither website was available in Turkey on Friday. In a statement, Deutsche Welle said it did not comply with the licensing requirement because it "would have allowed the Turkish government to censor editorial content."

Comment: Even the biased Reporters Without Borders organisation ranks the US as #48 on its WPFI; this is the same US that's trying to extradite journalist Julian Assange, who's been imprisoned in the UK under torturous conditions for half a decade.

Tory deputy chief whip resigns after 'drunkenly groping two men', the latest scandal to dog UK's parliament

Chris Pincher
© Thierry Monasse/Getty ImagesIn letter to Boris Johnson, Chris Pincher said he 'drank far too much' and apologised to 'those concerned'.
The Conservative deputy chief whip has resigned after admitting he had "embarrassed myself and other people" following reports that he drunkenly groped two men at a private club.

Chris Pincher wrote to Boris Johnson saying he was standing down after drinking too much. However, he did not address the allegations that he was reported to the whips by Conservative MPs who had witnessed his behaviour towards two men at the Carlton Club in Piccadilly.

It is the latest in a series of allegations of sexual misconduct by Tory MPs and will put further pressure on Boris Johnson to clean up the culture in Westminster. It is also the second time that Pincher has resigned from the whips' office following allegations made against him, raising questions about Johnson's judgment in promoting him to a role in charge of MP discipline and pastoral affairs.

Comment: As noted above, here are some of the other scandals to be exposed in UK parliament in just the last 7 months; it's perhaps no wonder the PM recently 'revised' the ethics code and blocked watchdog powers from holding them to account: See also: The Psychology of Totalitarianism: Reviewing Mattias Desmet's New Book Part 1

Posobiec: Biden has weaponized the FBI and DOJ against his political opponents

joe biden
© Evan Vucci/Associated PressU.S. President Joe Biden speaks during an event with Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung, at the Grand Hyatt Seoul.
On June 23, federal agents stormed the Virginia home of former Department of Justice official and legal scholar Jeffrey Clark in the early morning hours, searching his house and seizing multiple electronic devices in the process.

And on June 27, news broke of the FBI executing a search warrant on June 22 against legal scholar and professor John Eastman for his role in advising the Trump administration on legally contesting the 2020 presidential elections. (Eastman has filed a motion for return of property, claiming that the federal agent refused to show him their search warrant before seizing his cell phone, as required by the law.)

Clark and Eastman, like tens of millions of other Americans, wanted to determine if voter irregularities may have played a role in the 2020 presidential election. Clark, as a member of the Justice Department, and Eastman as a Trump advisor, explored legal remedies that involved fielding alternate electors in states with contested elections. That they should or should not have done this is open to opinion, but it was not at all illegal.

House Dems introduce 'Transgender Bill of Rights'

trany flag transgender
On Tuesday, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), introduced the "Transgender Bill of Rights" to Congress, which seeks to make health care regarding gender transitioning easier to access, allow people to play on sports that align with their gender identity rather than biology, as well as codify Roe v Wade.

The bill cites the 2020 Supreme Court decision of Bostock v Clayton County, which includes sexual orientation and gender identity under protections from discrimination, with a press release from Jayapal noting that the bill comes both after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, and also on the 53rd anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York City.

"Despite these protections, transgender people still experience discrimination in medical care, employment, housing, education, lending, and other basic necessities," the bill states.

Prosecutors say Prince Andrew 'next target' after Ghislaine Maxwell sentenced to 20 years

Following the relatively light twenty year sentence Ghislaine Maxwell has received for sex trafficking underage girls for Jeffrey Epstein, prosecutors representing the victims have said that the 'next target' should be British Royal Prince Andrew.

The lawyers acting on behalf of those alleging abuse requested that the FBI continue investigating the Epstein case and look harder at Andrew and other individuals accused by the victims.

"Let's hope they're the next target," Attorney Brad Edwards told reporters.

Comment: Maxwell and Prince Andrew are nothing but the public whipping boys, taking the fall for the countless scumbags who were paying to have illicit sex with underage girls. The fact that the public has received no mention of who was involved is the real crime here.

SCOTUS rules states can prosecute crimes on Native American lands

supreme court USA
The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued a ruling stating that states can prosecute crimes against Native Americans, committed on Native American reservations if the defendant is non-native. The case Oklahoma v. Castro-Huerta clarifies some confusion and difficulty had by law enforcement attempting to find justice for victims, despite there being limitations on state law enforcement officials to either investigate or prosecute crimes on Native American designated land.

The decision was penned by Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and was joined by Roberts, Thomas, Barrett, and Alito, with a dissent from Gorsuch, along with Breyer, Sotomayor and Kagan.

The case is primarily about jurisdiction, and the question, as framed by Kavanaugh, is "Under current federal law, does the Federal Government have exclusive jurisdiction to prosecute those crimes? Or do the Federal Government and the State have concurrent jurisdiction to prosecute those crimes?"

'Power grab': Scotland's MPs want to make 'emergency' Covid lockdown powers permanent

lockdown scotland
Ministers say they want to be able to react quickly to any future public health emergencies
MSPs have voted to make some emergency Covid-19 powers permanent, including the ability to impose lockdowns and close schools.

Most pandemic powers were due to expire in March, two years after Scotland's first virus case was confirmed.

As well as measures affecting the education and justice systems the new legislation also makes it harder for tenants to be evicted.

Comment: Often these draconian bills are peppered with seemingly positive legislation, in the hopes it will help ram the worst of it through.

But opposition politicians said the bill amounted to a "power grab".

MSPs took five hours to debate more than 90 amendments to the Coronavirus (Recovery and Reform) Bill before passing it by 66 votes to 52.

Comment: The current leader of Scotland's Parliament has, unsurprisingly, been dogged by scandal:

Fighting to the last Ukrainian: Biden's proxy war of attrition has become an unmitigated disaster

bidenrubble

Russian forces are, to put it bluntly, mopping the floor with the Ukrainian military. Moscow is methodically sweeping up vast amounts of territory in the country's east, as the Ukrainians remain badly outgunned and outmaneuvered by a superior army. Despite that reality, the Zelensky government's western allies all agree that now is not the time to negotiate an end to this conflict.

Not only has the economic war against Russia been an unmitigated disaster, but the kinetic proxy war is achieving similar results.

The Biden Administration and its NATO partners have decided, from a comfortable distance away from the fight, that millions of Ukrainian lives are a price worth paying to make sure the band stays together, with the side benefit of chipping away at Russia's military. The longer the war, the better.

They've already allocated some $100 billion to the fight (much of it seemingly missing), with endless billions more to come, and have grand plans to spin up the military industrial machine to cash more weapons purchase orders.

Comment: The West is feeding off the victims and vibrations of war, behaviors Moscow is brilliantly exposing. The reset has begun, but not the one they anticipate.

What NATO's new strategic concept means for China

brickwallflags

During the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) latest summit in Madrid, the alliance cobbled together its first "strategic concept" document since 2010. Predictably, it names Russia as the most crucial threat to allies' security - but, for the first time, it mentions China as a point of concern. While it stopped short of the provocative rhetoric of some member states, NATO's mention of China is still significant.

In its "Strategic Environment" assessment, NATO dedicated an entire paragraph, point 13, to China. It said that China's
"stated ambitions and coercive policies challenge our interests, security and values. The PRC employs a broad range of political, economic and military tools to increase its global footprint and project power, while remaining opaque about its strategy, intentions and military build-up. The PRC's malicious hybrid and cyber operations and its confrontational rhetoric and disinformation target Allies and harm Alliance security.

The PRC seeks to control key technological and industrial sectors, critical infrastructure, and strategic materials and supply chains. It uses its economic leverage to create strategic dependencies and enhance its influence. It strives to subvert the rules-based international order, including in the space, cyber and maritime domains. The deepening strategic partnership between the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation and their mutually reinforcing attempts to undercut the rules-based international order run counter to our values and interests."

Comment: For the West, it is all about winning. For China and Russia it is how you play the game.
