A lengthy and wide-ranging New York Times assessment of "Putin's War" detailing the last ten months of how a "walk in the park" became a catastrophe for Russia - as the story is sub headed - includes a particular bombshell buried deep within the narrative which has yet to be subject of widespread reporting.

US officials cited in the report say that Ukraine's military and intelligence attempted to assassinate General Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, even after American officials urged against such a brazen action of unpredictable consequences, on fears it would invite uncontrollable Russian military escalation.

While the key details embedded within the dozens of pages-long NYT Saturday report have received scant notice in broader US mainstream media, Russian state media has certainly already taken note, with TASS - among others - highlighting it.

The alleged Ukrainian attempt for a 'decapitation strike' on Russia's top commander and Putin's military right-hand during the planning phase involved Washington pleading for Kiev to call off an attack, only for US officials to find out they already launched it.

The question of legitimate military objectives has been treated differently in the history of mankind. It is perceived differently during the current conflict with the Nazi regime of Ukraine. For example, Russophobic marasmatics from the US Senate like to practice on this topic by the way and inappropriately. However, there is something in common that lies in the customs of war and international conventions. These are the rules of conduct during the war (jus in bello), which originate in sacred sources.

What are legitimate military targets today?

Lawmakers in the Sejm, the lower house of Poland's Parliament, on Wednesday passed a resolution declaring Russia a "state sponsor of terrorism."

"Russia systematically violates human rights, international law and the United Nations Charter and a number of other commitments, attacks territories of other countries, commits armed attacks, war crimes and genocides and engages hostile economic activities, in particular in the field of energy," read a statement issued by the Sejm.

The resolution also holds Russia "directly responsible" for the downing of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine in July 2014, which killed 298 people.

Through its lawsuit against federal public health agency Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, the America First Legal Foundation obtained a batch of internal documents, revealing that the CDC had access to a secret Google portal designed to centralize the flagging of Covid-19 information conflicting with the official narrative [1].

The America First Legal Foundation is chaired by former President Donald Trump's speechwriter. Its board of directors includes senior officials from President Trump's White House and it runs an annual budget of over $6 million. According to the Washington Post [2], this foundation would form part part of Donald Trump's stand-by cabinet should he win the next presidential election.

Google's secret portal is located in Indonesia and operated by the Islamist Fact Checking Association, Mafindo [3]. The latter serves as the focal point for censorship on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, WhatsApp and Hello. It receives its funding from the Indonesian State.

Okay, the message has become crystal clear now. The United States does not want Germany and the rest of Europe to become richer and prosperous anymore, powered by cheap Russian gas.
