Petroglyphs and cave painting in Iran suggests prehistorical Iranians migrated to Americas

Tehran - Some prehistorical residents of the Iranian plateau migrated to the Americas, an Iranian archaeologist and researcher says based on evidence from similarities between the petroglyphs and cave painting symbols in central Iran and the ones found in the Americas.

"After years of exploring ancient paintings inside Iran's caves and mountains and other parts of the globe, amazing achievements have been made in this regard," Mohammad Nasserifard told IRNA in an interview released on Tuesday.

"The ancient paintings of cave walls and mountains in Iran have been compared with ones in other parts of the world, their similarities in appearance and motifs have been 'amazing', according to quotes by professors Jan Brouwer and Gus van Veen," Nasserifard said, adding "His research and findings are presented to enthusiasts and researchers for the first time."

The archaeologist underlined that such petroglyphs may be a missing link in human history and arts.

"Appearance similarities, artistic styles, and uniform themes of ancient petroglyphs and cave paintings of this land (Iran) reveal many missing links in human history and arts one of which is the resemblance of ancient artifacts in Iran with ones found in the American continent."

"The discovery of equestrian motifs with leopard-like horses in Iran, which the Indians called 'Appaloosa', is one of the reasons for this migration, which can be seen on the walls of caves and mountains of Qasr-e-qand and Neyshekar regions which date from 11,000 years ago. They are similar to the leopard-like horses of Baluchestan."

Piles of dead fish were trucked away or buried on the shores of Humboldt Lake this week, after what the area's reeve is calling a bad winter kill.

Posts on Facebook described thousands of fish being found over the weekend, as winds pushed the bodies to shore.

"In some places (they were) two deep, three deep along the shoreline," said Larry Ries, reeve of the R.M. of Humboldt.

He told 650 CKOM while a winter kill isn't unusual in the small lake south of Humboldt, the numbers this year seemed "severe."

Fossil footprints in Africa a snapshot of past behaviour

The Engare Sero footprint site
© CYNTHIA LIUTKUS-PIERCEThe Engare Sero footprint site. An eruption of Oldoinyo L'engai, the volcano in the background, produced the ash in which the footprints were preserved.
Thousands of years ago, a group of people trekked across African soil, and their footprints remain to shine a torch on our ancestors' movements and behaviours.

More than 400 indents were left by bare human feet in Engare Sero, Tanzania, originally spotted by members of a local Maasai community more than a decade ago and their age and formation described in 2016.

Geological analyses revealed the prints, all preserved on the same surface of hardened ash from nearby volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai, were made sometime between 6000 and 19,000 years ago, placing them around the Late Pleistocene.

Now, paleoanthropological analyses, published in the journal Scientific Reports, explore what the fossilised tracks reveal about the people who made them.

"Footprints are rare components of the human fossil record," says lead author Kevin Hatala from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, US, "yet they can preserve exceptional snapshots of behaviour in our distant past."

A teenage girl was killed by a crocodile after being snatched and dragged under the water while she was cooling off in a river with friends.

The girl named Devi, 17, was swimming in the Sebamban River in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, on May 10 as temperatures reached 34C.

While the four girls were having fun in the water, a crocodile pounced on Devi and sank its teeth into her arm.

The teenager's terrified pals screamed in horror and frantically tried to help but the beast dragged Devi below the surface. They ran up the banks and called for help.

Hundreds of villagers gathered along the river to search for Devi. But tragically, her lifeless body was found five hours later and 100 metres from where she was attacked.

Her body was seen floating on the surface of the muddy water after the crocodile let her go. Locals then pulled the body into a wooden boat.

Woman mauled to death by her own dog in Fox Lake, Illinois

DOG ATTACK
A Fox Lake woman was found dead on her back deck after what appears to be a vicious attack by at least one of her dogs, police said.

An autopsy will confirm the cause of death for Lisa Urso, 52, of 622 Knollwood Road, but the initial investigation indicates that she was attacked by at least one of her three dogs, Fox Lake Police Chief Jimmy Lee said Monday.

An autopsy will be scheduled once the results come back on a novel coronavirus test Tuesday morning, Lake County Coroner Howard Cooper said. The COVID-19 test is being done to determine what precautions, if any, the Coroner's Office, the local funeral home and family need to take moving forward, he said.

Urso was found on her back porch Saturday, Lee said. It appeared she escaped the house after being attacked, but her injuries were extensive.

In a horrific incident, a leopard stole a three-year-old boy from his house in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. The child's half-eaten body was later recovered from the bushes nearby.

According to local reports, the incident took place in a village in Magadi Taluk in Ramanagara. Residents were asleep when the leopard stealthily sneaked into a house and picked up the boy. The door of the house was kept open because of the summer heat and the lack of electricity, local residents said.

When the family members found the boy was missing they started a search. During the early hours, people found the half-eaten body of the boy.

The forest department launched an investigation and set up a trap to capture the animal.

This is not the first time an incident related to a leopard took place in the state.

A 26-year-old man was killed in a shark attack while surfing Saturday at a beach in Northern California, officials said.

The man was attacked around 1:30 p.m. at Manresa State Beach, the California Department of Parks and Recreation said in a statement. The incident took place on Sand Dollar Beach within 100 yards of the shore, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Department said in a Facebook post.

The victim was pronounced dead on scene and the next of kin was notified. The species of shark was not known, according to the parks department.

Comment: Sputnik reports:
Dr. Dave Ebert of the Pacific Shark Research Center has expressed that shark attacks during this time of year are unusual.

"Usually most [shark attacks] occur between about July and November," Ebert told NBC. "May is definitely not a month you see many shark attacks."

"In addition, with sharks being most active in the morning and evening, it's unusual that the animal attacked Kelly in the afternoon," he noted.

Officials are still unsure what kind of shark attacked Kelly, although some experts believe that it was a great white shark.

Adapt 2030 Ice Age Report: Is this a planned food blockade of protein sources?

No beef at Wendy's
© YouTube/Adapt 2030 (screen capture)
As we saw with the Allied Blockade of Greece beginning in 1941, bread prices rose by 89X and staples slowly disappeared across the country. We are beginning to see the same in the N. America as beef is at all time highs, unenviable or rationed. Don't kid yourself, limit one is rationing. Blistering cold Arctic fronts slamming the E.U and N. America the same week after crops have already emerged. Time for a pioneering lifestyle.

Comment: The coronavirus crisis, in addition to earth changes affecting crop growth, and the losing value of currency which is set to get much worse in Western nations in particular, have made the production, availability, purchasing and distribution of food - a MAJOR global issue the likes of which we haven't seen in generations.
