Producer prices for commercial products rose by 45.8% in September compared to the same month last year, Destatis said. The rate was 2.3% higher than in August, which saw an identical surge of 45.8% year-on-year.

"August and September 2022 were therefore the highest increases in producer prices compared to a month in the previous year have been measured since the survey began in 1949," the statistics authority wrote.

Twitter tumbles as US weighs security reviews for Musk deals

Elon Musk
Biden administration officials are discussing whether the US should subject some of Elon Musk's ventures to national security reviews, including the deal for Twitter Inc. and SpaceX's Starlink satellite network, according to people familiar with the matter.

Twitter shares fell 5.1% as the market opened in New York on Friday.

US officials have grown uncomfortable over Musk's recent threat to stop supplying the Starlink satellite service to Ukraine -- he said it had cost him $80 million so far -- and what they see as his increasingly Russia-friendly stance following a series of tweets that outlined peace proposals favorable to President Vladimir Putin. They are also concerned by his plans to buy Twitter with a group of foreign investors.

The discussions are still at an early stage, the people familiar said on condition of anonymity. Officials in the US government and intelligence community are weighing what tools, if any, are available that would allow the federal government to review Musk's ventures.

One possibility is through the law governing the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States to review Musk's deals and operations for national security risks, they said.

Comment: The PTB really don't like the idea of Twitter being used as anything other than a platform for propaganda. How can they control the narrative if people are allowed to share wrong-think?

Best of the Web: How the pro-Ukraine NAFO troll operation crowd-funds war criminals

NAFO NATO ukraine trolls war criminals funding
© The Grayzone
Celebrated in mainstream US media for its anti-Russian trolling, the Twitter operation known as NAFO was founded by a Polish antisemite to raise money for a militia that has hosted war criminals, white nationalists and wanted murderers.

Whether they know it or not, anyone who has checked Twitter for recent coverage of the Ukraine proxy war has likely encountered at least one of the thousands of trolls that comprise NAFO, or the "North Atlantic Fellas Organization." Thanks to the efforts of NAFO and its "fellas," any journalist or prominent figure critical of Ukraine or NATO on Twitter is likely to receive hundreds of replies accusing them of being paid by Russian President Vladimir Putin (or even performing fellatio on him) from accounts with Shiba Inu dog avatars.

Since its inception several months ago, NAFO has earned gushing praise from the Washington Post, which hailed it for "show[ing] that the tables could be turned on Russia, when it came to trolling." The arms industry-funded, Washington DC-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), meanwhile, hosted an online panel highlighting NAFO as an instrumental weapon in the Russia-Ukraine infowars.

'Even his bribes suck': 'The Five' blast Biden for 'transparently political' oil release

Panelists on "The Five" blasted President Joe Biden Wednesday evening over what one panelist called a "transparently political" release of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

"You're raiding the rainy-day fund, and it's not a rainy day. He's been saying we're going to have nuclear Armageddon with Russia, he's been saying that China's about to prey on Taiwan, he's been saying that climate change is making hurricanes more ferocious," co-host Jesse Watters said. "Those are when you want to use the rainy-day funds, not when the Democrats are about to get rocked. No wonder Hunter Biden handles the finances and money."

Biden announced plans to release 14 million barrels of oil from the stockpile Wednesday, prompting criticism from Republicans, who claimed he was doing so for political reasons to help Democrats at the polls in the upcoming midterm elections. Biden blamed oil companies for the high prices, saying they needed to increase production and pass on savings to customers.

"The thing about President Biden, it's never his fault, anything. It's the one thing I've really noticed from his presidency, it's always somebody else's fault. Usually, he blames Putin or whoever he can think of. If you chart the genesis of his relationship with the Saudis, for example, when he was running for president, he was very vocal, the Saudis had to become pariahs," Piers Morgan said. "I'm sure that didn't go down well with the Saudis, who consider themselves to be an ally with the United States. Then, of course he's been flirting again with the Iranians, that again will not go down well with the Saudis. So, surprise surprise, the Saudis are not overly keen to help him out in his moment of need about oil prices and decided to cut production and Joe Biden is throwing his toys out of the stroller about it. Well, you reap what you sow to an extent."

Recently, a video produced by what appears to be an anonymous source, documents news reports of '1,000 Athletes Collapsing, Dying, Heart Problems, Blood Clots - March 2021 To June 2022.'

Fitness enthusiast, author and bodybuilding champion Doug Brignole died suddenly on October 13 after offering to be "a test" case for the safety of experimental COVID-19 gene-based vaccines on April 4, 2021.

In the comment thread of one of his own Facebook posts, in which he promoted uptake of the controversial injections, the former Mr. America and Mr. Universe wrote:
Those of you who think the vaccine kills people can use me as a test. If I die, you were right. If I don't die, and have no ill effects, you were wrong, and should admit it (at least to yourselves).

Switzerland will destroy 9 million doses of Moderna (MRNA.O) COVID-19 vaccine that have reached their expiry date, with another 5.1 million vaccine jabs set to meet the same fate by February, the government said on Wednesday.

The wastage reflects the Swiss strategy of ordering more vaccines than it needed to ensure its population of around 8.7 million would get sufficient supplies even in the event of supply bottlenecks or quality issues.

Other countries too have destroyed hundreds million of doses of expired vaccines.

Comment: A recent announcement in the EU parliament revealed that these dodgy vaccine deals are now under investigation:

Yes Virginia, Critical Race Theory really is being taught in schools - with stats to prove it

© breath10/iStock
To what extent, if at all, are critical race theory (CRT) and gender ideology being taught or promoted in America's schools? With little data available, and no agreement about what constitutes the teaching of critical social justice (CSJ) ideas, the answer up to now has remained open to political interpretation.

Motivated by the work of Manhattan Institute senior fellow and City Journal contributing editor Christopher F. Rufo, many on the right allege that CRT-related concepts — such as systemic racism and white privilege — are infiltrating the curricula of public schools around the country. Educators following these curricula are said to be teaching students that racial disparities in socioeconomic outcomes are fundamentally the result of racism, and that white people are the privileged beneficiaries of a social system that oppresses blacks and other "people of color." On gender, they are being taught that gender identity is a choice, regardless of biological sex. But are the cases Rufo and others point to representative of American public schools at large — or are they merely outliers amplified by right-wing media?

Billionaire Elon Musk will reportedly gut Twitter with massive cuts when he takes over, getting rid of the overwhelming majority of the company.

The Washington Post reported that Musk told prospective investors that he plans to get rid of "nearly 75 percent of Twitter's 7,500 workers, whittling the company down to a skeleton staff of just over 2,000."

The report said that even if the Musk's acquisition of Twitter somehow does not go through, large cuts are still expected as the current people running the company planned to get rid of roughly 25% of the company's staff.

The report said that the planned cuts by Twitter's executives helped to explain why the company wanted to sell to Musk once he made the offer.

A British undertaker is sounding the alarm on COVID-19 vaccines, claiming that young recipients of the shot are filling his funeral home at a substantial rate.

The veteran funeral director, John O' Looney, made the claims while making an appearance on the Good Morning CHD for the organization Children's Health Defense, as posted by Clark County Today.

"As a funeral director, I'm seeing a massive increase in death rate exclusively in young jab recipients," O'Looney stated.
