UNICEF has decried the Israel-Hamas war, saying its worst fears about the staggering child death toll are being realized

The UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) has reiterated its call for a humanitarian ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war, saying the conflict is killing thousands of kids in Gaza and putting many more at risk from the violence and a water crisis.

"Gaza has become a graveyard for thousands of children," UNICEF spokesman James Elder told reporters on Tuesday in Geneva, "It's a living hell for everyone else." He noted that more than 3,450 children in the Palestinian enclave have already been killed, and the death toll rises significantly every day.

Elder made his comments as Israel escalated its ground offensive in Gaza in response to the Hamas terrorist attacks that killed an estimated 1,400 people on October 7. Gaza's water system also has been crippled by the conflict, contributing to an overall death toll of more than 8,000 in the territory.

UK Met police anti-drug chief faces sack after failing to pass drug test after allegation he smoked cannabis DAILY

Julian Bennett
Commander Julian Bennett (pictured), who has served in the force since 1976, was cleared by a disciplinary panel of using the drug at home in late 2019 but was found to have failed to provide a urine sample for a drugs test in July 2020
A senior Metropolitan Police officer - who drew up an anti-drugs strategy for the force - is facing the sack for refusing to provide a sample when he was accused of smoking cannabis.

Commander Julian Bennett, who has served in the force since 1976, was cleared by a disciplinary panel of using the drug at home in late 2019.

However he was found to have failed to provide a urine sample for a drugs test on July 21 2020 and has been suspended on full pay since July 2021.

His former flatmate Sheila Gomes claimed Mr Bennett had used the illicit substance daily before breakfast and leaving for work at New Scotland Yard, but the three-person panel rejected that allegation.

Comment: As highlighted also in the links below, it's pretty clear by now that the British establishment and the institutions it oversees are corrupt to the core and not fit for purpose.

Furthermore, is it any wonder that such compromised representatives are, in the face of global condemnation, brazenly supporting Israel's ethnic cleansing in Gaza? Bearing in mind Israel's intelligence services and their penchant for controlling politicians via their perversions?

Belgian unions refuse to handle arms shipments for Israel 'while genocide is underway'

Belgian transport workers' unions on Tuesday called on their members to refuse to handle military equipment being sent to Israel to battle Hamas gunmen.

Comment: An Israeli airstrike just wiped out a Gazan refugee camp killing 100... that wasn't 'battling gunmen'. Reuters' propaganda needs to be more sophisticated, because, as we can see, people are becoming wise to the propaganda.

The ACV Puls, BTB, BBTK and ACV-Transcom unions said in a joint statement that airport workers have seen arms shipments.

"While a genocide is under way in Palestine, workers at various airports in Belgium are seeing arms shipments in the direction of the war zone," the statement said.

Israel says it is targeting Hamas military operations and not civilians in Gaza.

Comment: The official numbers say that nearly 10,000 Gazans have been slaughtered, over half of which are woman and children.

Comment: Actually, 500,000 protested in London alone; the total number of people, across the planet, will have been in the tens of millions:

Chechen leader issues death threat to would-be rioters

ramzan

Violent people defying the police should get a bullet in their head, Ramzan Kadyrov has said...

Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Muslim-majority southern Russian region of Chechnya, has ordered the use of lethal force against potential rioters who would resist law enforcement. The threat comes after a crowd in neighboring Dagestan stormed an airport in an attempted anti-Jewish pogrom.

Speaking at a regional governmental meeting on Monday, Kadyrov said Chechen authorities would "apprehend and jail" any rioter, according to local media. The senior official, describing the instruction as an "order" added:
"Or, you know what, make three warning shots in the air, and if after that the person does not abide by the law - make the fourth shot in his forehead."
The chilling warning comes after a mob, which was allegedly riled up by a Ukraine-linked social media channel claim that "refugees from Israel" were arriving in planes, breached the international airport in Makhachkala, Dagestan on Sunday night. Riot police were deployed in response to the emergency, with ensuing clashes resulting in 20 people being injured on both sides.

Comment: 'Dagestan Morning' has been blamed for the anti-Jewish riot at Makhachkala airport:
The social media and messaging platform Telegram has banned 'Utro Dagestan' (Dagestan Morning), a channel with 65,000 subscribers that has been accused of inciting Sunday's anti-Semitic riot in Dagestan. The tech group's founder, Pavel Durov, made the announcement on Monday afternoon.

"Channels that call for violence - such as this one, in the screenshot, will be banned for violating the rules of Telegram, Google, Apple, and the entire civilized world."

The screenshots identified the offender as 'Dagestan Morning', which has been exposed as a Ukrainian intelligence service project set up to stir ethnic and religious unrest in Russia.

A post in the screenshot proclaimed "We hate Jews" and "we will not let them live in Dagestan or the Caucasus," claiming that "Jewish refugees" bound for the Russian republic were on board the regularly scheduled flight from Tel Aviv to Makhachkala.

On Sunday afternoon, over 150 rioters broke onto the runway of the airport in the Dagestani capital and tried to storm the plane. Police were able to restore order after heavy clashes that left more than 20 people - including nine officers - injured. Sixty rioters were arrested.

Russia's Muslim leaders have condemned the riot as unacceptable. So has the head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that the unrest was "obviously" incited from abroad.

'Dagestan Morning' was swiftly identified as the most likely culprit. Posing as a local outlet, the Telegram channel has received lavish funding from Kiev since the Ukraine conflict escalated in February 2022. Former Russian lawmaker Ilya Ponomarev, who fled to Kiev in 2016 and became a citizen of Ukraine, has openly admitted to the channel being one of "their" assets.

Ponomarev has served as a proxy for Kiev to claim that the terrorist attacks against Russian journalist Darya Dugina and military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky were the work of "Russian dissidents." US intelligence has recently confirmed, however, that CIA-backed Ukrainian spies were behind both assassinations, just as Moscow has said.
Russian Muslim leaders slam anti-Jewish rioters:
Officials issued a statement:

Anti-Semitism and any other form of racism has no place in Islam, Russian Muslim leaders have stressed, denouncing Sunday's rioting at Makhachkala Airport in the Republic of Dagestan. Russian authorities have accused Ukrainian intelligence services of instigating the unrest.

The Russian Council of Mufties said that while the recent escalation between Israel and Hamas had understandably aroused tensions worldwide, there can be no justification for transplanting these onto Russian society, which is composed of numerous ethnic and religious groups.

The Islamic clergy stressed that internal religious conflict should be prevented at all costs, urging Russian Muslims to prioritize stability and peace in their homeland and not to allow the influence of external factors. A scenario where various religious groups within Russian society are pitted against one another would play into the hands of the country's enemies.

"Unacceptable to our religion are injustice, collective punishment, lynching, as well as such forms of racism and hubris as anti-Semitism and Judeophobia," the Mufties argued.

The statement concluded by calling on Russian Muslims not to fall for provocations.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that foreign actors had "obviously" played a part. The official added that President Vladimir Putin would chair a high-level meeting later that day to address the "attempts by the West to use the events in the Middle East to divide the Russian society."

The head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, has denounced the actions of the rioters, saying "there is no courage in mobbing unarmed people who did nothing wrong." He also warned that the authorities would not allow the rioters to go unpunished.
Russian Muslim leader criticizes anti-Jewish rioters over 'Allahu Akbar' chants:
The head of the Muslim Coordination Center in Russia's North Caucasus, Ismail Berdiev, has condemned the rioters who targeted an airport in Dagestan on Sunday, accusing them of using the term 'Allahu Akbar' in an unacceptable way.

Berdiev criticized the rioters, noting that "extolling the Almighty by shouting 'Allahu Akbar' is appropriate only when there is a sound reason for it."

Berdiev also noted that rioters had used exclamations of religious praise alongside "blasphemous words" that are forbidden in Islam. "The faithful are barred from uttering profanities. A Muslim must control his actions and not shoot off the mouth, thereby setting a bad example for his brothers."

US regime change activist named Web Summit CEO after founder forced out for condemning Israeli 'war crimes'

The CEO of one of the world's leading tech conferences was forced to resign after criticizing Israel's assault on Gaza. He was quickly replaced by one of the industry's most prominent US government-affiliated regime change specialists.

Europe's biggest tech conference, Web Summit, has appointed a veteran US regime-change operative named Katherine Maher as its new CEO, just days after founder Paddy Cosgrave stepped down from the position following an industry-wide backlash to his suggestion that Israel forces have carried out "war crimes" in their ongoing assault of Gaza.

Cosgrave's future at Web Summit had been in doubt since October 13, when he sparked pro-Israel outrage after tweeting that "war crimes are war crimes even when committed by allies." Industrial and tech behemoths including Siemens, Intel, Amazon, Meta and Google subsequently declared that they wouldn't be attending this year's conference, which is slated to take place in Lisbon, Portugal from November 13 to 16.

Corporate America finally realizes that getting 'woke' is bad for business

ESG culture wars woke corporations

No more culture wars?

From Hollywood studios to beer makers and personal hygiene brands, for the past decade corporate America has been pushing increasingly progressive ideology, often to the outrage of a large portion of its target audiences and even to the detriment of its sales. But judging by recent statements made by some of the most influential figures in finance, there may be a small glimmer of hope at the end of this "woke" nightmare.

Over the years, the phrase 'get woke, go broke' has time and time again proven to be more than just a popular catchphrase. Take for example Gillette, which cost its owner Procter & Gamble $8 billion after the release of its infamous commercial that tried to take a dig at "toxic masculinity." Or Budweiser, whose Bud Light used to be one of America's top-selling beers but is now facing a nationwide boycott after the company did a catastrophic collaboration with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.

And, of course, there are Disney and Netflix who are still trying to win back their audiences after consistently releasing formulaic, preachy, LGBTQ agenda-driven films and TV shows that audiences are refusing to watch.

Armoured Israeli forces attacked the Gaza Strip's main city from two directions on Monday and targeted the main road linking it to the south of Gaza, witnesses said, drawing more international appeals for Palestinian civilians to be protected.

Israel said its forces freed a soldier from Hamas captivity, one of 239 hostages Israel says were captured on Oct. 7 by Hamas gunmen from Gaza who rampaged through southern Israeli communities, killing over 1,400 people.

It identified her as Ori Megidish and said she had since undergone medical checks and is "doing well," the military said. It gave no details on the circumstances of her release.

Protesters throw box full of rats into McDonalds while shouting 'free Palestine' in UK

Footage posted on social media shows dozens of rats that have been painted green, black, white and red, representing the four colours that make up the Palestinian flag
Protesters have reportedly thrown a box containing rats into a McDonald's branch while shouting "free Palestine".

In a video emerging on social media, a man can be seen loading three boxes of red, white and green rats into the back of a car. The vehicle has had its number plates replaced by the word "Palestine".

The figure can then be seen walking up to a McDonald's branch, understood to be Birmingham's Star City, before throwing the rats onto the floor and shouting "free Palestine". Customers at the restaurant can be seen screaming and jumping in shock after the rodents are hurled into the branch.

The video was captioned "enjoy your rat burgers".

Comment: Whilst one doesn't condone acts such as this it does demonstrate just how vulnerable mega corporations and governments can be when a citizenry feels betrayed by its government for supporting inhumane crimes, such as Israel's ethnic cleansing in Palestine. That may be one of the reasons why imperialist governments are notorious for propagandising and brainwashing its own people who otherwise would not allow such crimes to be committed in their names.

It's also worth bearing in mind that not all these acts of protest are genuine, and instead agent provocateurs are deployed by the state itself in order to smear protesters, to encourage calls by the general public to crack down, or, as seems to be the case in Dagestan recently, foment unrest in an opposition country.

Notably, in the past few years, amidst overwhelming corruption in government and big business, European nations have rammed through a variety of anti-protest laws enabling police to harrass and arrest people for behavior that wasn't formerly considered an offence (see Tweets below). These totalitarian laws began to be implemented and enforced in earnest just prior to, and then during the lockdowns and the economic crisis that the government enforced lockdowns accelerated:

A former model for Abercrombie & Fitch on Friday sued the fashion retailer, alleging it allowed its former CEO Mike Jeffries to run a sex-trafficking organization during his 22-year tenure.

Jeffries, who left Abercrombie in 2014, converted the chain from an struggling retailer of hunting apparel to a seller of must-have teen clothing. But he faced criticism for the company's sexualized marketing, including billboards and beefy models that alienated potential customers who didn't fit into its image.

The lawsuit comes after a BBC report earlier this month raised similar allegations against Jeffries and his partner Matthew Smith.

Israel dismisses 'rumors' of progress in indirect hostage negotiations with Hamas

Senior Israeli official says Jerusalem believes terror group dragging out talks to delay IDF ground offensive into Gaza...

Israel believes that Hamas has been dragging out hostage negotiations as a tactic to delay a ground offensive by the Israeli military into the Gaza Strip, a senior Israeli official told The Times of Israel on Friday.

The official said that despite leaks from Egyptian and Qatari officials over the past few days purporting significant progress in the talks to release a large number of hostages, no breakthroughs currently appear to be imminent.

During its shock terror assault on Israel on October 7, Hamas terrorists killed over 1,400 people, a majority of them civilians, during raids on over 20 border communities near the Gaza Strip, slaughtering entire families in their homes and some 260 at an outdoor music festival. Terrorists also took over 200 hostages, including women, children and elderly people, dragging them into the Gaza Strip where they remain captive.

The military said Friday that Israel has informed the families of 229 people, Israelis and dual nationals, who were taken hostage by Hamas and allies terrorist factions.
