The Times used to be regarded as Britain's newspaper of record. But in recent years, the historic title, once renowned for its sober and balanced coverage, has morphed into a crude neo-con propaganda organ.

It's shilling endlessly for US-led wars and 'interventions' and attacking - often in the most obnoxious way possible - those who dare to question the War Party narrative. Needless to say, RT - which urges its viewers to 'Question More' (a very dangerous thing in an age of Imperial Truth Enforcement) - has been in the Times' line of fire.

In fact, over one weekend at the end of July and the beginning of August - a time when most normal people turn their mind to things like ice cream, sun loungers and beaches - the Murdoch-owned newspaper ran at least six articles on RT (and attack pieces on Russia's Sputnik news agency too, making it a total of seven Russian-media-focused hit-pieces in just two and a half days).

Comment: The Times is still feeling its place as one of the arbiters of reality is getting precarious. Their attacks on RT have not let up. George Galloway had something to say about being harassed too. But you'd never know about it except for Sputnik:

A document brought to light by James Damore's class-action lawsuit against Google and drafted by the company's HR department instructing managers at the company on how to be "inclusive" cautioned managers against rewarding employees for traits "valued by the U.S. white/male dominant culture", including individual achievement, and meritocracy.

The document has been released as part of James Damore's ongoing class-action lawsuit against Google, which alleges the company discriminates on the basis of race, gender, and political viewpoint. It was announced today that three new plaintiffs have joined the lawsuit, bringing the total number of plaintiffs up to five.

According to the lawsuit, the document is provided to all Google managers as part of "Inclusive Perf" training, which is a requirement for some departments at the company, and "strongly encouraged" by others.

The handout cautions managers about "rewarding people when they exhibit values and practices that are part of the dominant, and either punishing or failing to reward people when they exhibit values that are outside the of the dominant cultural norm."

The handout goes on to list examples of things that are "valued" by the dominant "white/male" culture of the U.S. These include:

Meritocracy, winning, avoiding conflict, a belief in objectivity, a "colorblind racial frame", urgency, numbers driven, and perfectionism.

Comment: Google has its head so far up the stupid hole, it's mind-blowing. The development of our entire human species would have been impossible without meritocracy, winning, objectivity, perfectionism, and other qualities of individual excellence. These are not "white" values. Without them our greatest technological achievement would still be the rock handaxe and Google wouldn't even exist. With attitudes like this, Google is going to fail all on its own. Maybe we should just sit back and enjoy its steady demise.

Another ex-British military chief questions claims about Assad: 'Why would he use chemical weapons when he's already won the war?'

An ex-army chief has questioned claims that Syria's Bashar Assad used chemical gas against his own people in Douma. Major-General Jonathan Shaw expressed doubts over the attack, noting that Assad had already "won the war."

Shaw, a former British Special Forces chief, has challenged the UK, US and French government's line on the alleged Syrian chemical attack in Douma. He told the Daily Mail that Assad has rebels leaving the Eastern Ghoutan province by the busload - so it just doesn't add up.

"Why would Assad use chemical weapons at this time? He's won the war," Shaw said. "That's not just my opinion, it is shared by senior commanders in the US military. There is no rationale behind Assad's involvement whatsoever.

Comment: The list of high profile people questioning the West's narrative about the alleged chemical attack in Syria is growing by the day.

There has been some speculation that last week's Syria bombing was deliberately scheduled for AFTER Tucker Carlson's show on Friday evening. It ends at 9pm, and the bombings literally started at 9.30. Carlson is only on weeknights, so this would give the war gang a full 48 hours respite before the onslaught of the 1-man demolition crew that Carlson has become.


I've mentioned before that Carlson has trouble getting anyone of serious stature to come on his show to defend this, because the facts are so embarrassing that anyone who does ends up looking like a liar, but there are always some willing to do it, because a) they have no compunction about being revealed as liars, and b) they are b-list enough that they figure this will burnish their credentials somehow, if only in the sense that they will earn points with their ideological brothers in arms, taking one 'for the cause', in this case the cause being neocon induced world chaos and war.

Comment: Note the bit about Russia and Syria deliberately keeping OPCW investigators from the Douma "chemical attack" crime scene. Kirchick implies they are doing so because they have something to hide. But here's what the April 18 OPCW press release has to say about what has been going on:
On 16 April, we received confirmation from the National Authority of the Syrian Arab Republic that, under agreements reached to allow the evacuation of the population in Ghouta, the Syrian military were unable to enter Douma. The security for the sites where the FFM plans to deploy was under the control of the Russian Military Police. The United Nations Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) has made the necessary arrangements with the Syrian authorities to escort the team to a certain point and then for the escort to be taken over by the Russian Military Police. However, the UNDSS preferred to first conduct a reconnaissance visit to the sites, which took place yesterday. FFM team members did not participate in this visit.

On arrival at Site 1, a large crowd gathered and the advice provided by the UNDSS was that the reconnaissance team should withdraw. At Site 2, the team came under small arms fire and an explosive was detonated. The reconnaissance team returned to Damascus.

The UNDSS will continue to work with the Syrian National Authority, the local Councils in Douma, and the Russian Military Police to review the security situation. At present, we do not know when the FFM team can be deployed to Douma. Of course, I shall only consider such deployment following approval by the UNDSS, and provided that our team can have unhindered access to the sites.

This incident again highlights the highly volatile environment in which the FFM is having to work and the security risks our staff are facing. I should like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to States Parties for their continued support for the FFM, as they reiterated during the Council meeting on Monday. This is particularly important for our staff taking part in such challenging missions.
The Russians are responsible for OPCW security once the UNDSS approves the FFM team's visit to Douma. There are still militants in the area firing small arms and blowing things up. Thus, security cannot be guaranteed at this point, and it was the UN security team itself that made the decision not to allow the fact-finding mission to enter the site at this time. Kirchick is a liar, plain and simple.

The former Smiths frontman lashed out at the Mayor of London in an interview discussing his views on racism, violence and the capital.

And Morrissey stated that London "is debased" and that "civilisation is over".

Going on a rampage against Mr Khan, he added: "The Mayor of London tells us about 'Neighborhood policin' - what is 'policin'?

"He tells us London is an 'amazin' city. What is 'amazin'? This is the Mayor of London! And he cannot talk properly!

"I saw an interview where he was discussing mental health, and he repeatedly said 'men'el'...he could not say the words 'mental health'. The Mayor of London!"

US 'skyrocketing' debt ratio to outpace African countries in next five years

The US debt-to-GDP ratio is projected to jump to 116.9 percent by 2023, leaving behind Italy, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

In five years, the American debt burden will also be worse than some countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, such as Mozambique or Burundi.

"In the United States, the revised tax code and the two-year budget agreement lead to an expansion in the level of economic activity until 2020. These measures will give rise to overall deficits above $1 trillion over the next three years, which is more than 5 percent of GDP. This adds to the rising trend in government debt, bringing it to 117 percent of GDP in 2023," the IMF said in its report.

Comment: Good thing the United States is wasting tens of millions of dollars having their missiles shot down in Syria! There's plenty of money for war and aggression but not for things the country actually needs!

Foreigners seeking asylum in Austria will have to surrender their phones and up to €840 ($1,040) in cash under a new suite of measures. The move is intended to combat illegal immigration and asylum abuse.

The cabinet supported the draft law on Wednesday, revealing its main details, which include the seizure of mobile phones and cash contributions from asylum seekers.

The authorities will examine mobile phones to verify applicants' identities and how they arrived in Austria. In the event that an applicant happens to have first entered the EU through another member state, they could be sent there under the Dublin Regulation, which stipulates that refugees can be transferred back to EU state where they arrived.

Containers with chlorine from Germany and smoke grenades produced in Salisbury, UK were found in the liberated territories of Syria's Eastern Ghouta, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has stated.

"In the liberated areas of Eastern Ghouta, Syrian government troops have found containers with chlorine - the most horrible kind of chemical weapons - from Germany, and also smoke grenades produced - please pay attention [to this] - in the city of Salisbury, the UK," Zakharova told a news conference in Moscow on Thursday.

The findings undermine "the faith in humaneness" of some states' leadership, who "give such orders and make such decisions," Zakharova added.

On issues mattering most, especially war and peace and anything about Russia, WaPo is a lying machine, feeding its readers rubbish, truth-telling suppressed.

Its editors take orders from Langley, featuring disinformation the spy agency wants published - consistently suppressing hard truths about US high crimes of war and against humanity.

WaPo's latest Russophobic broadside once again turned truth on its head, falsely accusing Putin of "disdain for the rules-based post-World War II order" - a US imperial specialty, not his, observing rule of law principles Washington rejects.

WaPo: "In two recent incidents involving the use of outlawed chemicals, Russia's answer has been a frantic parade of lies, bizarre explanations and attempts to distract from finding the truth."

Comment: The established mainstream media outlets are seeing their readers leave and their revenues crash, and it's partly due to the outright lies they spout on a daily basis. A HEARTBROKEN mum has told how the NHS are making her family wait 15 years to discover if her three young children have inherited the same devastating condition that is killing their young dad.

Since the diagnosis, the family have moved to a bungalow as the disease has left Jamie struggling to climb stairs or even feed himself.

Kellyann has also had to quit her job at a care home to become his full time carer.

Comment: That a parent is completely responsible for their children until they are able to give consent seems to reason that they can make these requests of their behalf. It states that these are guidelines and that this is a rare condition, and therefore an exception could be made. However it seems the age we live in bureaucrats are unwilling to adapt their policy to the situation at hand. It's only when a legal case is made or outrage through a publicity campaign that we sometimes see a semblance of empathy.
