Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey said he generally agrees that there should not be permanent suspensions of individual users, after billionaire and newly-minted owner of the social media giant Elon Musk promised to reverse the ban on former US President Donald Trump after the acquisition is completed.

Dorsey tweeted on Tuesday: "generally permanent bans are a failure of ours and don't work," listing exceptions like child sexual exploitation, spam, "network manipulation," and other "illegal behavior."

Consumers nationwide are facing a summer of blackouts as utility companies and local governments continue to push a rapid transition to renewable energy.

Independent operators of major regional electric grids serving tens of millions of Americans have recently warned that as temperatures rise this summer, they may have to resort to scheduled blackouts and other emergency measures to prevent significant wide-scale impacts. For several years, states have unveiled laws mandating a green transition and prohibiting fossil fuel infrastructure, forcing U.S. energy providers to plan renewable energy infrastructure upgrades worth hundreds of billions of dollars.

Wind and solar energy accounted for 14.5% of net power generation across sectors in the U.S. in February, up nearly double from five years ago when such sources produced 8.5% of total grid generation, according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA). In February 2012, ten years ago, wind and solar produced just 3.6% of net generation.

Even those obeying the rules were removed from the plane for merely appearing to be Jewish, passengers claimed.

A transgender mother who forced the seven-year-old daughter she fathered to engage in child pornography at her New Jersey home has been jailed for 25 years without parole, along with three accomplices.

Marina Volz, previously named Matthew, was sentenced on Friday at Somerset County Superior Court alongside another transgender woman Ashley Romero 28, previously named Adam, and two other offenders Sean Allen, 54, and Dulcinea Gnecco, 21.

Volz, 32, ran a 'family-owned transgender pornography production studio specializing in amateur, BDSM and taboo fetish content' from her Coburn Lane home in Franklin Township, according to acting prosecutor Annmarie Taggart, where she allowed her accomplices to sexually abuse her young daughter.

The involvement of all four defendants was made clear in a string of group messages in which they discussed their plans to abuse Volz' child.

I think one of the most bizarre social developments of the past 10 years in the US has been the slow but steady shift of the political left as supposed defenders of free speech to enemies of free speech. The level of mental gymnastics on display by leftists to justify their attacks on freedom and the 1^st Amendment is bewildering. So much so that I begin to question if liberals and leftists ever actually had any respect for 1^st Amendment rights to begin with? Or, maybe the only freedom they cared about all along was the freedom to watch pornography...

One can see the steady progression of this war on speech and ideas, and the end game is predictable: Is anyone really that surprised that the Biden Administration is implementing a Ministry of Truth in the form of the DHS Disinformation Governance Board? Can we just accept the reality at this point that leftists are evil and their efforts feed into an agenda of authoritarianism? Is there any evidence to the contrary?

Before I get into this issue, I think it's important to point out that it's becoming tiresome to hear arguments these days suggesting that meeting leftists "somewhere in the middle" is the best and most desirable option. I see this attitude all over the place and I think it comes from a certain naivety about the situation we are facing as a country. Moderates and "normies" along with people like Bill Maher and Russell Brand are FINALLY starting to realize how bag-lady-crazy leftists are and the pendulum is swinging back slightly. But, it was conservatives that were calling out the social justice cult and their highway to hell for years.

While everyone else was blissfully ignorant, we were fighting the battles that stalled the leftist advance. This is not to say I'm not happy to have moderates and reformed liberals on board, it's a great thing. However, the time for diplomacy and meeting leftists halfway is long dead.

Techno-optimists like to say humans are already cyborgs awaiting their next upgrade. Yesterday it was smartphones, today it's virtual reality goggles, and tomorrow — the brain chip. With each new device, our evolution toward human-machine symbiosis accelerates. That's obvious when you ask someone for directions and they pull out their phone.

Techno-pessimists largely agree. Tech companies are turning us into cybernetic organisms. The difference is, we're not stoked about it. Even if "progress" really is "inevitable," there's no sense in getting all giddy about nuclear warheads or trans children or smartphone dependency. In light of their vices and virtues, some cultures are better than others.

It's true that humans are tool-users, by nature, but you have to choose your tools wisely. All technologies fall on a spectrum, albeit with discrete punctuation — from cave painting to the printing press to electrodes that write memes directly onto your wiggling brain cells. Every person has to draw their own lines.

The monthly Democracy Institute/ Express.co.uk poll of 1,500 Americans who are "likely voters" has shown that 43 percent are "OK" with Ukraine losing compared to 41 percent "not OK" while 16 percent have no opinion. This comes despite the heroic attempts of Ukraine President Zelensky to garner worldwide support against the Russian invasion. But Democracy Institute has warned that the reason for this is "cynicism" of Government policies created by the fact "at least half of Americans thought they were hoodwinked over covid" lockdowns.

In another worrying development, Americans also appear to be losing confidence in the sanctions regime against Vladimir Putin's Russia with 53 percent believing it hurts the USA more with the cost of living crisis the top political issue.

The findings are yet another blow to the Democrats and Joe Biden with voters clearly showing their intention to back the Republicans in the midterm elections in November by 50 percent to 42 percent.

Dmitry Polyansky, the deputy head of Russia's mission to the UN, has claimed that the UK's Sky News abruptly ended an interview with him as soon as he showed a photo with a Nazi symbol that had been posted by the Ukrainian president.

Volodomyr Zelensky had promoted the image on Monday, which marked the victory of the Soviet Union over Adolf Hitler's Germany in World War Two.

"The host's response? He quickly wound up the talk, muttering that our time, as it turned out, was up suddenly, and that Sky News could not verify this information," the diplomat wrote on Telegram on Monday.

"So much for the freedom of speech in the West... they don't need the truth! From now on, they'll think a hundred times before inviting Russian diplomats to a live show!"

Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza responded Friday to a fact-check of his documentary 2,000 Mules in which Politifact accused him of basing the movie on a faulty premise.

"Mule" is a term used in the movie for those who were allegedly paid to repeatedly pick up batches of ballots and place them in drop boxes.

The central premise of 2,000 Mules is that an illegal ballot harvesting scheme took place in the key swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin in the 2020 general election.

These are all states that former President Donald Trump won in 2016 but flipped to Democrat President Joe Biden in 2020.
