Normies Awake!

"The West can't do diplomacy in general, it can't run its cities or countries except into the ground, its high-tech projects fail almost as a rule, its infrastructure is crumbling, its economies are crumbling, and all public policies seem to have a civilizational suicide as a final goal."
— Gaius Baltar
So-called Normies might be musing, this month of approved mental languor, whether the mighty efforts to suppress news of all kinds, about everything, have concealed the true tendings of our wayward country — leading them to wonder whether it is even possible to be a Normie in such an abnormal time and place.

What news is suppressed? That the USA is worse than dead broke. That the people were poisoned, apparently on-purpose. That the spectral "Joe Biden" sold out our country. That the war we started in Ukraine, on purpose, for no good reason, is about to be lost, and with it our standing around world. That there actually is such a criminal organism as the Blob at large in our government, responsible for the astounding abnormality immersing us. But never mind all that... for now, just go see Barbie. Have a clam roll, a dip in the ocean, another margarita.... September will be here soon enough.

FBI agent Elvis Chan made 'false statements' when pressed to disclose involvement in suppression of Hunter laptop: Jim Jordan

It has been revealed that a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation made "false statements" in his testimony regarding the agency's involvement in the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story.

Elvis Chan claimed during an October 2022 deposition that the FBI had not communicated with Facebook aside from a meeting that took place the day the story broke. New evidence has shown that Chan himself held a follow-up meeting the next day.

In the latest edition of the Facebook Files, House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jim Jordan explained that during his testimony, Chan admitted that the FBI had met with the social media giant on October 14, 2020, the day the Hunter Biden laptop story was first reported by the New York Post.

He also admitted that Section Chief of the Foreign Influence Task Force Laura Dehmlow had told executives that the agency had "no comment" on the matter after another agent admitted that the story was real.

US suspends foreign aid to Niger as West Africa bloc prepares military intervention

As Niger's military coup leadership doesn't appear to be going anywhere, and with President Mohamed Bazoum still under detention despite Western calls for his restoration, the United States has begun pausing some foreign aid programs. This could pave the way for future sanctions on the junta.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Friday remarks stated:
"As we have made clear since the outset of this situation, the provision of U.S. assistance to the government of Niger depends on democratic governance and respect for constitutional order. We remain committed to supporting the people of Niger to help them preserve their hard-earned democracy and we reiterate our call for the immediate restoration of Niger's democratically-elected government."
He made clear, however, that all humanitarian [aid] and food assistance will flow unabated into the destabilized country.

The day prior, President Biden had called for Bazoum's immediate release and for the return to constitutional order, but noticeably Washington has yet to use to word "coup".
"I call for President Bazoum and his family to be immediately released, and for the preservation of Niger's hard-earned democracy. The Nigerian people have the right to choose their leaders. They have expressed their will through free and fair elections — and that must be respected."
He said this simultaneous to the American embassy in the capital Niamey being partially evacuated, though it is still functioning with senior diplomats.

Niger rejects rules-based order

The coup in the West African state of Niger on July 26 and the Russia-Africa Summit the next day in St. Petersburg are playing out in the backdrop of multipolarity in the world order. Seemingly independent events, they capture nonetheless the zeitgeist of our transformative era.

First, the big picture — the Africa summit hosted by Russia on July 27-28 poses a big challenge to the West, which instinctively sought to downplay the event after having failed to lobby against sovereign African nations meeting the Russian leadership. 49 African countries sent their delegations to St. Petersburg, with seventeen heads of states traveling in person to Russia to discuss political, humanitarian and economic issues. For the host country, which is in the middle of a war, this was a remarkable diplomatic success.

The summit was quintessentially a political event. Its leitmotif was the juxtaposition of Russia's long-standing support for Africans resisting imperialism and the predatory nature of western neo-colonialism. This works brilliantly for Russia today, which has no colonial history of exploitation and plunder of Africa.

While every now and then skeletons from the colonial era keep rolling out of the Western closet, dating back to the unlamented African slave trade, Russia taps into the Soviet legacy of being on the 'right side of history' — even resurrecting the full name of Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia in Moscow.

Yet, it wasn't all politics. The summit deliberations on Russia-Africa partnership helping the continent achieve ''food sovereignty,'' alternatives to the grain deal, new logistics corridors for Russian food and fertilisers; enhancement of trade, economic, cultural, educational, scientific, and security cooperation; Africa potentially joining the International North-South Transport Corridor; Russia's participation in African infrastructure projects; Russia-Africa Partnership Forum Action Plan to 2026 — these testify to the quantifiable outcome.

Ukrainian counteroffensive 'highly unlikely' to succeed, US officials tell CNN

Kiev's Western backers are losing faith in the ability of the Ukrainian military to penetrate Russian defenses and turn the tide of the conflict, US and other Western officials told CNN on Tuesday.

"[The Ukrainians are] still going to see, for the next couple of weeks, if there is a chance of making some progress. But for them to really make progress that would change the balance of this conflict, I think, it's extremely, highly unlikely," an unnamed "senior Western diplomat" told the American broadcaster.

Illinois Representative Mike Quigley, a Democrat who recently met with US commanders in Europe, described their briefings as "sobering."

"We're reminded of the challenges [the Ukrainians] face," he said, adding that "This is the most difficult time of the war."

Disgraced FBI agent Charles McGonigal — who investigated the Trump campaign's alleged ties to Moscow in 2016 — is slated to take a guilty plea in the case accusing him of illegally working for a Russian oligarch.

"The court has been informed that defendant Charles McGonigal may wish to enter a change of plea," Manhattan federal Judge Jennifer Rearden wrote in a brief order filed Monday, scheduling a hearing for Aug. 15.

McGonigal, 54, — a former top FBI counterintelligence agent based in New York — was indicted in January on charges including money laundering and violating US sanctions by working for Russian billionaire and business magnate Oleg Deripaska, including trying to get him taken off of the US sanctions list.

Best of the Web: Ukraine is world leader in organ transplants - Russia's Foreign Ministry

Ukraine has long been known as a world leader in organ trafficking. Scandals involving the illegal removal of organs from corpses began to appear in the late 1990s in the wake of the country's socioeconomic deterioration.

The problem began to mount in the early 2000s, and the violent coup in Kiev in February 2014 and the ensuing conflict in Donbass were an additional contributing factor. In 2014, the OSCE stated that corpses with removed internal organs had been found in mass graves in areas where fighting was taking place. Most probably, they were victims of black market transplant specialists.

Organ trafficking increased in scale after the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, following the Kiev regime's passage of laws that drastically simplified the work of transplant specialists in the country.

Bankers rule the economic world via debt

vampire squid
Introduction

My book Demonic Economics and the Tricks of the Bankers lists systemic aspects of the banking, monetary, and economic system that are not taught in the schools and universities of the world, and are rarely discussed on corporate owned news and media networks. Knowledge of these topics is absolutely essential for everyone in the world that wishes to understand how the economic world 'actually' works and why worldwide society is in perpetual debt while the vast resources of human productivity and of nature are continually exploited by a small group of people that control these systems.

Over decades the power to create money has resulted in the power to own, control and manipulate the assets of the material world, as well media and politics. Representative democracy under capitalism as currently implemented in much of the world, is an illusion - it is money that controls the economic world. Those that control the money creation process wield the power to control the corporate media and own the material world, regardless of which political party is elected, or which system is utilised (capitalism, socialism, communism, etc).

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford (1863-1947), Founder of Ford Motor Company

Mitch McConnell drowned out by chants of 'RETIRE!' during speech

mcconnell speech chants retire
© Associated PressSenate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was drowned out by jeers during a Saturday speech in Kentucky.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was drowned out by jeers and chants of "retire" during a speech in Kentucky Saturday, just days after the Republican lawmaker froze up midsentence at an event.

While speaking at the Fancy Farm picnic, one of his home state's main political events, the 81-year-old Republican received some positive cheers before getting drowned out by an angry crowd screaming "Shame on you," "Ditch Mitch," "Retire" and "Lost the Senate."

"This is my 28th Fancy Farm, and I want to assure you it's not my last," McConnell said at the top of his breakfast speech, only vaguely addressing the overarching concerns about his health.

McConnell, seemingly unbothered, continued with his speech without acknowledging the hostile reception and repeated taunts from what Associated Press reported were Democrats in the crowd.

Comment: McConnell appears oblivious to the restless peasants. He should be packed off to managed care along with Biden, Pelosi, Fetterman and Feinstein who have all been caught in moments of cognitive meltdown. We are being "governed" by mental health patients. Convenient for those who actually pull the strings.

Best of the Web: War with Poland?

europe post ww1
The Next Step?
Preface

When I started this article, I didn't know exactly where it would take me. I had to read up on WWI, the Treaty of Versailles, the history of Eastern Europe, WWII and much more — a lot of history. I found that most that I had learned in high school and college — or was supposed to have learned (since I skipped most of my classes) was wrong. Here I am at 76, soon 77 educating myself — again.

Read Part One here.
MICIMATT

There are many places to start another war — but Europe is still a good market for those profit most from it — Ray McGovern's "MICIMATT" — the American Military Industrial Media Academic Think Tank Complex. So what I called the Deep State Cartel in my last article is hard at work feeding its ever-hungry illegitimate progeny.

Every dollar in "aid" makes an American millionaire more ...um...millionish and billionaires more billionairy.

The Invention of Poland

Poland was invented at the end of WWI, largely by Woodrow Wilson, who made it one of his famous "14 Points".
