Obama's hand in the soft coup against Trump

obama
In light of the recent flurry of leaks by the so-called "deep state", which includes such agencies as the NSA and FBI and which last week lead to the resignation of Mike Flynn after a phone recording of his phone conversation with the Russian ambassador was leaked to the WaPo and other anti-Trump publications, an article published on January 12 by the NYT has generated renewed interest. One month ago, the NYT reported that "In its final days, the Obama administration expanded the power of the National Security Agency to share globally intercepted personal communications with the government's 16 other intelligence agencies before applying privacy protections."
The new rules significantly relax longstanding limits on what the N.S.A. may do with the information gathered by its most powerful surveillance operations, which are largely unregulated by American wiretapping laws. These include collecting satellite transmissions, phone calls and emails that cross network switches abroad, and messages between people abroad that cross domestic network switches. The change means that far more officials will be searching through raw data. Essentially, the government is reducing the risk that the N.S.A. will fail to recognize that a piece of information would be valuable to another agency, but increasing the risk that officials will see private information about innocent people.
While previously the N.S.A. filtered information before sharing intercepted communications with another agency, like the C.I.A. or the intelligence branches of the F.B.I. and the Drug Enforcement Administration, and furthermore N.S.A.'s analysts passed on only information they deemed pertinent, screening out the identities of innocent people and irrelevant personal information, following passage of Obama's 11th hour rule, "other intelligence agencies will be able to search directly through raw repositories of communications intercepted by the N.S.A. and then apply such rules for "minimizing" privacy intrusions."

In other words, what until recently was a trickle of private data captured about US individuals by the NSA with only a handful of people having full, immersive access, suddenly became a firehose with thousands of potential witnesses across 16 other agencies, each of whom suddenly became a potential source of leaks about ideological political opponents. And with the universe of potential "leaking" culprits suddenly exploding exponentially, good luck finding the responsible party.

However, the implications are far more serious than just loss of privacy rights.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard is to conduct military drills with use of missiles next week, according to an announcement from Iranian senior command. The announcement comes after a new set of sanctions was imposed on the country by US President Donald Trump.

Iran will stage military maneuvers called "Grand Prophet 11" next week, Iranian General Mohammad Pakpour said.

"The maneuvers [...] will start Monday and last three days," he said during a press conference. Pakpour noted that missiles will be used during the drills but did not specify what type of missiles.

SOTT Focus: Behind the Headlines: Illusion of democracy: Trump powerless against the Deep State?

Deep State
Trump's presidency and the 'revolution' it promised to be is, according to some, 'dead in the water'. Facing implacable opposition to implementing his policies from within the media, the courts, the bureaucracy, and likely also his own administration, unless something fundamentally changes, Trump is a 'lame-duck president' with a full term still to go.

This week on Behind the Headlines, we're analyzing recent events in Trumpland, including the firing of General Flynn and Trump's ongoing war with the media, with a view to understanding the largely hidden structural forces that make it so hard for American presidents to enact their campaign promises.

Speaking with Radio Sputnik, Russian lawmaker Alexei Pushkov commented on the pressure currently being mounted on United States President Donald Trump. According to Pushkov, Trump's opponents want to tie his hands, especially in relations with Russia.

Political elites in Washington will try to do everything possible to neutralize President Trump, putting him in a situation in which he would not be able to act independently, according to senior member of the Russian parliament's upper house Alexey Pushkov.

According to the lawmaker, in fact Trump is now being forced to continue the policy of his predecessor Barack Obama.

Pushkov pointed out that the recent resignation of General Michael Flynn from the post of the US presidential administration's national security advisor should be considered in the very same context.

The stakes for Trump and all of us

Trump leaking classified...

We need to understand, and so does President Trump, that the hoax "war on terror" was used to transform intelligence agencies, such as the NSA and CIA, and criminal investigative agencies, such as the FBI, into Gestapo secret police agencies. Trump is now threatened by these agencies, because he rejects the neoconservative's agenda of US world hegemony that supports the gigantic military/security annual budget.

Our secret police agencies are busy at work planting "intelligence" among the presstitute media that Trump is compromised by "Russian connections" and is a security threat to the United States. The plan is to make a case in the media, as was done against President Nixon, and to force Trump from office. To openly take on a newly elected president is an act of extraordinary audacity that implies enormous confidence, or else desperation, on the part of the police state agencies.

Israeli Defense Minister supports idea of two-state solution to end conflict between Israel and Palestine

Palestine
The two-state solution is the concept of the settlement of the Middle East crisis calling for the creation of two states, Israel and Palestine. Palestinians seek to establish the independent state within its 1967 borders, on the territories of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, which is partially occupied by Israel, and the Gaza Strip.

Earlier in the week, Lieberman also stated that Israel was ready to invest in infrastructure in the Gaza Strip when the local Palestinian authority, Hamas, stops firing rockets across the border.
"My vision, is no doubt, a two-state solution. I believe what is necessary for us is to keep a Jewish state," Lieberman said at the Munich Security Conference.
The two-state solution has long been viewed by the international community as the only realistic way to end the conflict.

Is Trump Dangerous? The unelected deep state trying to overthrow him is far worse

the deep state
There is a proverbial shit storm brewing in Washington D.C. right now, and it is separate from the one created by President Donald Trump. Since Trump took office, his executive orders have enraged Americans from coast to coast. While some of them were beneficial, such as ending the US involvement in TPP, others such as the travel ban have caused unnecessary turmoil for innocent people. However, all those orders were conducted in the open and for all Americans to see — unlike the soft coup being carried out against Trump in secret by the deep state.
A game is being played with the security of our country. Pls watch & share this is important. #DeepState https://t.co/zh8yRbyhjb

As Jay Syrmopolous pointed out last week, giving a clear admission of a soft coup in progress, John Schindler, a former professor of national security affairs at the U.S. Naval War College, who spent nearly a decade with the super-secret National Security Agency as an intelligence analyst and counterintelligence officer — and who still maintains deep connections to the intelligence community — readily admitted that senior elements of the intelligence community (IC) are engaging in treason against Trump.

Putin urges FSB to counteract Ukrainian terrorism and foreign destabilization efforts

Vladimir Putin
On February 16th, at his annual meeting with the Collegium of the Federal Security Service (FSB), Russian President Vladimir Putin named the main threats to Russia's security to be: international terrorism, foreign intelligence services, and the instability of neighbors, particularly Ukraine.

Putin also drew attention to the fact that at the NATO summit in Warsaw in July last year, for the first time since 1989 Russia was recognized to be the main threat to NATO's security and deterring Russia was officially declared to be the new mission of NATO.

"The bloc's further expansion is being carried out with this goal," the president continued. "This was done before, but now they have found what they think to be more serious justification. The deploying of strategic and conventional weapons beyond the borders of its member-states has been accelerated. They are provoking us with this and striving to drag us into confrontation. Attempts at interfering in our domestic affairs with the aim of destabilizing the socio-political situation in Russia itself have not ceased," the president stated.

'Won't stand to scrutiny': Former British Ambassador to Syria questions Amnesty International report on Saydnaya prison executions

Amnesty International's latest report on mass extrajudicial killings in Syria would not stand scrutiny, according to former British ambassador to Syria, Peter Ford.

On February 7, the organization issued an explosive report titled 'Human Slaughterhouse, Mass Hangings and Extermination at Saydhaya prison, Syria,' alleging that the Syrian authorities were responsible of killing 13,000 opponents of President Bashar Assad at the Saydnaya prison on the outskirts of Damascus.

In an interview with Sputnik, Ford pointed out that it was interesting how the report was coincidentally released after the Syrian city of Aleppo was liberated by the government forces two months ago, after successful negotiations in Astana and as it appears that Syria is coming closer to a political solution for the ongoing war.

"It's very strange after this report has been over a year in gestation — you have to ask, why now?" He said.

"President Trump is trying to be a Dictator." Senator John McCain.

If anyone in the world knows about creating dictators it would be John McCain.

The US Senator has overthrown countless governments, and even consulted with ISIS terrorists before launching a war against the sovereign government of Assad in Syria.

McCain and "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd, were referring to Trump's ever growing "fake news" list the President tweeted yesterday.
