Russian UN ambassador slams U.S. and Israel for ignoring Palestine

nebenzya
Russia's Ambassador to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya leveled sharp criticism at Israel and the US for ignoring the Palestinian problem in the course of debates on Middle East peace settlement at the UN Security Council.

As he took the floor at the meeting, he warned that in the absence of a peace process on the political horizon in the region, a dangerously explosive potential was accumulating there and it could produce an explosion at any moment, TASS reported.

Israeli ambassador Danny Danon and US ambassador Nikki Haley bypassed the Palestinian issue in their speeches and concentrated on other issues.

The Israeli diplomat tried on the role of an arbiter by reading out the charges with global support for terrorism, encroachments on human rights, instigation of anti-Semitism.

Who can disagree? Iran says Israel cannot be allowed to target Syria at will

Abdullah Ayyoub
Major General Mohammad Baqeri (L), who is the chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, and Chief of the General Staff of the Syrian Arab Army General Ali Abdullah Ayyoub hold a joint press conference in Syria’s capital, Damascus, October 18, 2017.
The chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces says Israel cannot be allowed to violate Syrian territory at will.

"It is not acceptable for the Zionist regime (Israel) to violate Syria via land or air whenever it pleases," Major General Mohammad Baqeri said in the Syrian capital of Damascus on Wednesday.

He was speaking alongside Chief of the General Staff of the Syrian Arab Army General Ali Abdullah Ayyoub.

The Israeli military conducts strikes against Syria-based targets on a regular basis, most of the time claiming that it hits convoys destined for the Lebanese resistance movement of Hezbollah. Hezbollah fighters have been assisting the Syrian army in its fight against Takfiri militants.

Israel has been offering medical treatment to the extremist militants wounded on the battlefields in Syria in field hospitals in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

Comment: Hezbollah fights terrorists. Israel bandages them up. It should be pretty obvious who is in the right when it comes to Syria. And it sure as hell isn't the cancerous blot otherwise known as Israel. But here's how Israel's delusional leader sees it:
"Our policy is clear: those who try to harm us we will hit them. Today our planes were under attack, it is unacceptable," Netanyahu stated.

"The (Israeli) air force acted immediately and precisely, and successfully destroyed the target. Israel will continue to operate in this space, as much as needed in order to protect Israel," he concluded.
That's right. It's unacceptable for Syria to shoot at jets that violate its airspace and launch missiles at its infrastructure and personnel. In other words, it's acceptable for Israel to commit acts of war against other nations whenever it pleases. Arrest this idiot already.

No diagnosis necessary: Theresa May vows to 'de-medicalize' process of gender reassignment

Theresa May vowed to scrap medical checks for people who officially change gender. She told an audience at the Pink News awards dinner on Wednesday night that 'being trans is not an illness and it should not be treated as such.'

"We have set out plans to reform the Gender Recognition Act and streamline and de-medicalise the process for changing gender," the prime minister said.

The proposals, if passed, could do away with the requirement for a medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria before a person can officially change their gender.

May said she is "proud" to have sponsored the Same-Sex Marriage Act as Home Secretary.

"There is still much more to do and I am committed to seeing that work through - for instance, eradicating homophobic and transphobic bullying in schools, and reforming the Gender Recognition Act - so that we can build a better future for everyone in our society."

Looking on was Justine Greening, May's Education Secretary, who last year became the first female Cabinet minister to come out as gay while in office.

Comment: We hope the NHS has the money to fund the reversals.

Congress wants to know if Obama DOJ used Trump dossier before surveillance shenanigans

Both the House and the Senate are investigating whether the former President Barack Obama's administration used intelligence in a salacious "Trump Dossier" as "evidence" before a secret federal surveillance court to obtain permission to spy on Donald Trump campaign aides and later his transition team.

Leaders in Congress are trying to find out if the Obama Justice Department and the FBI introduced the totally unsubstantiated material alleging unsavory connections between Trump and Russia before the Federal Intelligence Surveillance Court, congressional aides told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

The FBI used the dossier to secure permission to monitor the communications of Trump associate Carter Page, based on U.S. officials briefed on the Russia investigation, CNN reported in April.

The latest inquiries began Oct. 4, when the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence subpoenaed Fusion GPS, a political opposition research firm based in Washington, D.C., to appear before the committee and turn over bank documents. The committee is also seeking all Justice Department applications before the Federal Intelligence Surveillance Court, also called the FISA court, to determine if any of the applicants rely on information from the dossier.

The US uses the Islamic State insurgency as a tool in Afghanistan, aimed at destabilizing the whole region, the former Afghan president told RT, urging the international community to convince the US that it needs to actually fight terrorism.

No action was taken against Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) terrorists despite their atrocious acts being well known "since the arrival of Daesh [an Arabic acronym for IS] on the Afghan scene," former President Hamid Karzai said. He then mentioned reports of "unmarked foreign helicopters" providing support to the terrorists.

"From the two years onwards to today, every day the local people, the local elders, government officials, media and others began to report that unmarked helicopters, unmarked foreign helicopters, would go in and support extremists in all parts of the country," the former president told RT on the sidelines of the Valdai Forum in Sochi, Russia.

The Israeli Air Force bombed the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) inside the Golan Heights this evening after accusing them of shelling the occupied areas.

According to the Syrian Army's 90th Brigade, an Israeli warplane bombed the SAA's positions at the town of Qaws Al-Sandiyanah, which is located approximately 1km south of Harfah.

As a result of the Israeli airstrike, the Syrian Army's 130mm field artilley gun was destroyed - no casualties reported.

The Israeli airstrike comes just hours after the Syrian Army advanced against the Al-Qaeda linked Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham terrorist group in the Beit Jinn pocket of the Golan Heights.

First year of presidency sees Trump lose $600mln in personal wealth

The net worth of America's 45th president has shrunk by $600 million over the last twelve months, according to Forbes magazine.

Nearly a year after a win over Hilary Clinton and moving to the White House, Donald Trump dropped to number 248 in the magazine's ranking of the wealthiest Americans, falling 92 positions.

The magazine puts Trump's current net worth at $3.1 billion.

According to Forbes, the decline of the president's fortune was caused by "a tough New York real estate market, a costly lawsuit and an expensive presidential campaign."

Trump's real estate portfolio is seen as the most significant contributor to the drop. Some golf properties owned by the president have also declined in value.

From Las Vegas to Iran: Zionists running the show - can they be stopped?

The purpose of Grand Strategy is to assure peace and prosperity for the Nation-State - to avoid war, to prevent all possible threats from emerging, to balance all policies and their costs in an affordable, balanced, flexible, and sustainable manner. [1]

The USA does not have a grand strategy --- and none of its leaders seem to understand this is suicidal.

The graphic below illustrates a three-dimensional approach to Grand Strategy, one that integrates the ten high-level threats to humanity generally and the USA specifically; [2] the twelve core policies that must be orchestrated in a Whole of Government manner on a foundation of holistic analytics and true cost economics; [3] and the major players in the world that the USA must respect if it is to achieve peace and prosperity. The red dots are where the entire US secret intelligence community (IC) focuses, and in both of these - inter-state conflict and terrorism - it is the USA that the primary antagonist pursuing elective wars not authorized by the Congress, [4] and sponsoring terrorist organizations such as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), this particular one in partnership with Israel and Saudi Arabia. Media networks ignore bombshell Russia/Uranium/Clinton revelations - until Trump tweets

New revelations that the FBI uncovered a Russian bribery plot before the Obama administration approved a nuclear deal with Moscow, that involved millions of kickback money to the Clinton Foundation, have been utterly ignored by the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) network evening or morning shows, since the story broke early Tuesday.

In fact, the network evening shows have only spent only 3 minutes and 1 second on the Clinton Foundation scandal in more than two years.

The latest developments in the Russia/Uranium/Clinton scandal were first reported, on Tuesday, by The Hill's John Solomon and Alison Spann. On Tuesday's edition of FNC's Hannity, Solomon and Circa News's Sara Carter were invited on to lay out the latest details of this scandal, that the Big Three networks, so far, have refused to report on.

Comment: See the Hill report here: The real Russiagate? FBI uncovered Russian bribery plot before Obama admin approved nuclear deal with Russia - UPDATE

Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley has sent a letter to the FBI informant's attorney inviting him to testify in an upcoming hearing. His signed NDA means he can only testify after a subpoena, which could be coming. But it might not be necessary. The NDA might not be enforceable in the matter of testifying before Congress on a national security concern. Which brings into question the then-DoJ's use of the NDA to threaten the informant from testifying previously! Who was so anxious about what he would say, and why?

After minimal media coverage, Trump tweeted:

Now, at least, the MSM is reporting Trump's tweet. As Alex Christoforou put it today: "No matter how much the MSM tries to bury a story (in this case Uranium One, and the cover up initiated by Obama, with $145 million pocketed by Hillary), all it takes is one Trump tweet, and like a drug addict that can just not resist one last hit of heroin, the MSM begins its spin cycle."

Reminder: Clinton wasn't the only Democrat with close ties to Russians:
As the Russians gained control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 through 2013, the Podesta Group was paid a total of $630,000 between 2010 and 2015 to represent Uranium One, the Russian-controlled firm with close financial ties to the Clinton Foundation that today controls 20 percent of all U.S. uranium produced.
John Podesta served as the CEO of the Clinton Foundation for several months in 2011.

Question

American tourist suspects he was hit by similar invisible 'attacks' in Cuba, years before US government workers

Havana Cuba
Chris Allen's phone started buzzing as word broke that invisible attacks in Cuba had hit a U.S. government worker at Havana's Hotel Capri. Allen's friends and family had heard an eerily similar story from him before.

The tourist from South Carolina had cut short his trip to Cuba two years earlier after numbness spread through all four of his limbs within minutes of climbing into bed at the same hotel where the American government workers were housed. Those weren't the only parallels. Convinced the incidents must be related, Allen joined a growing list of private U.S. citizens asking the same alarming but unanswerable question: Were we victims, too?

It may be that Allen's unexplained illness, which lingered for months and bewildered a half-dozen neurologists in the United States, bears no connection to whatever has harmed at least 22 American diplomats, intelligence agents and their spouses over the last year. But for Cuba and the U.S., it matters all the same.

It's cases like Allen's that illustrate the essential paradox of Havana's mystery: If you can't say what the attacks are, how can you say what they're not?
