When the Deep State says "Jump," you say "How high?"

deepstate
It was summer 1963 when a senior official of CIA's operations directorate treated our Junior Officer Trainee (JOT) class to an unbridled rant against President John F. Kennedy. He accused JFK, among other things, of rank cowardice in refusing to send U.S. armed forces to bail out Cuban rebels pinned down during the CIA-launched invasion at the Bay of Pigs, blowing the chance to drive Cuba's Communist leader Fidel Castro from power.

It seemed beyond odd that a CIA official would voice such scathing criticism of a sitting President at a training course for those selected to be CIA's future leaders. I remember thinking to myself, "This guy is unhinged; he would kill Kennedy, given the chance."

Our special guest lecturer looked a lot like E. Howard Hunt, but more than a half-century later, I cannot be sure it was he. Our notes from such training/indoctrination were classified and kept under lock and key.

At the end of our JOT orientation, we budding Agency leaders had to make a basic choice between joining the directorate for substantive analysis or the operations directorate where case officers run spies and organize regime changes (in those days, we just called the process overthrowing governments).

Comment: Unfortunately, the ever increasing war against Trump by the Deep State is going to culminate in either a lame-duck president (if Trump isn't one already) or a dead one. The interesting parallel is that there hasn't been a president since Kennedy that has so incited the fury of the Washington elite to launch this level of attack on a president, although it does seem they have finally gotten 'through' to Trump.

Though Trump's promises to "drain the swamp" were noble, they were short-sighted and he underestimated what they were capable of. Even Kennedy had an idea of the "monolithic and ruthless conspiracy" that he was up against and he was eventually taken down because the Deep State decided that they could not control him. This set a precedent for all future presidents: 'you either play ball or you'll end up like you-know-who'.

On the up-side (if we can call it that), by taking on Trump in the way they have, the Deep State is exposing itself to the public as the 'eminence grise' behind the scenes in the USA. Will Americans finally wake up to this unsavory, yet undeniable truth?

Former Ukraine PM Yulia Tymoshenko warned us about Paul Manafort years ago

Yulia Tymoshenko warned us about Paul Manafort years ago.

In a civil complaint, the former Ukrainian prime minister accused Manafort - who would go on to chair Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign - of conspiring with Ukrainian and Russian partners to launder dirty money through "a labyrinth of shell companies" in the U.S.

These companies, it claims, "were solely used for purposes of furthering the unlawful objectives" of people like Dmytro Firtash, a Ukrainian businessman indicted in 2009 for U.S. racketeering and money laundering, and Russian crime boss Semyon Mogilevich, who made the FBI's "Most Wanted" list for suspected fraud, racketeering, and money laundering.

George Papadopoulos: Sorting out the Russia mess

george papadopoulos
George Papadopoulos
Russia-gate special prosecutor Robert Mueller has turned up the heat on President Trump with the indictment of Trump's former campaign manager for unrelated financial crimes and the disclosure of a guilty plea from a low-level foreign policy adviser for lying to the FBI.

While longtime Republican fixer Paul Manafort, who helped guide Trump's campaign to the GOP nomination in summer 2016, was the big name in the news on Monday, the mainstream media focused more on court documents related to George Papadopoulos, a 30-year-old campaign aide who claims to have heard about Russia possessing Hillary Clinton's emails before they became public on the Internet, mostly via WikiLeaks.

While that would seem to bolster the Russia-gate narrative - that Russian intelligence "hacked" Democratic emails and President Vladimir Putin ordered the emails be made public to undermine Clinton's campaign - the evidentiary thread that runs through Papadopoulos's account remains tenuous.

Comment: It seems odd that the mainstream media would be so focused on George Papadopoulos given his low level status in the Trump campaign and his tenuous credibility. After admitting to lying to the FBI and having many of his claims being uncovered as false, one would think the indictment of Manafort and the implications for Tony Podesta would be bigger news in the Mueller probe, especially given the brouhaha that's been brewing with Tucker Carlson's revelations from his insider source indicating Trump may not be the main focus of the investigation. It seems that the media is so obsessed with the idea that "the Russians hacked the election" they'll jump on anything that helps to bolster that narrative, no matter how big a nothingburger it is.

Russia Probe: New York Times Writes Its Own Indictment

George Papadopoulos
Low level Trump campaign staffer George Papadopoulos has turned [deep] state's witness in the drive to perpetuate the myth of Russian interference in US politics
The digital front page of yesterday's New York Times carries this dramatically misleading headline: "Trump Campaign Got Early Word Russia Had Democrats' Emails." Within the article, there are six separate references suggesting that the unsealed indictment against Trump adviser George Papadopoulos supports the premise that the Russians had the hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee (DNC), before the emails became publicly known.

For example, New York Times reporter Scott Shane makes the following references in the article:
"Court documents revealed that Russian officials alerted the campaign, through an intermediary in April 2016, that they possessed thousands of Democratic emails and other 'dirt' on Hillary Clinton..."
And this:
"That was two months before the Russian hacking of the Democratic National Committee was publicly revealed and the stolen emails began to appear online. The new court filings provided the first clear evidence that Trump campaign aides had early knowledge that Russia had stolen confidential documents on Mrs. Clinton and the committee, a tempting trove in a close presidential contest."

You know the plot: The bank robbers set off a bomb down the street from the bank, and while everyone's distracted they get away with the loot.

In the reality TV show we're now suffering through, Donald Trump is the bomb.

The robbers are the American oligarchs who bankroll the Republican Party, and who are plotting the biggest heist in American history-a massive tax cut estimated to be up to 5.8 trillion dollars.

Around 80 percent of it will benefit the richest 1 percent, according to the Tax Policy Center.

FBI releases all of its JFK assassination files - with redactions

JFK/Jackie
© Reuters
The FBI said Monday it has now authorized the release of all the previously withheld materials in its files about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The bureau said that the files would now be released by the National Archives on a rolling basis in the coming weeks.

Last week, President Donald Trump delayed the release of an unspecified number of documents while also allowing the release of dozens of new files on events surrounding the 1963 assassination. The White House said at the time it was doing so at the request of the FBI and CIA while directing federal agencies to re-review remaining files. Officials cited national security concerns.

Comment: After the push for delaying the release, it's curious that they've suddenly decided to authorize all of their previously withheld materials. We may still never see the full picture since things have a way of "disappearing" when it comes to anything that could truly shed light on the matter. Perhaps it's that they've redacted things "that related to individuals who provided information" that allows them to go ahead with the release. It's a vague term that could applied to anything they don't want to reveal. For more see:

British govt has no money for Grenfell families, but will prioritize the rehousing of returning ISIS terrorists (and give them full state benefits)

ISIS terrorists
Government plans to give jihadis council houses and other support as part of de-radicalisation programmes have been welcomed as "overdue" by terror experts.

Right-wing commentators have branded the proposals, codenamed Operation Constrain, as "beyond sick" and accused authorities of seeking to bribe extremists.

Comment: It's actually high treason, whichever way you slice it.

But analysts say there is an urgent need to coordinate police, intelligence, mental health and social work for thousands of potential threats who are known to authorities but cannot be jailed.

Comment: We wish this was a horrifying Halloween spoof, but it's not; it's real news coming out of the UK.

When psychopaths rule, all turns to madness.

Britain is a safe haven for traitorous terrorists, but a homeless hell for ordinary citizens:

Did Seal Team 6 members strangle Green Beret to cover up fake 'Bin Laden killing'?

fake bin laden photo
Did Staff Sgt. Logan J. Melgar learn something unusual about the alleged killing of Osama Bin Laden by Seal Team 6?

If he did, he took the secret to his grave. Sgt. Melgar turned up dead last June 4 in the housing he shared with Seal Team 6 members at the US Embassy in Bamako, Mali.

Now two Seals from Team 6 are under investigation for murder - and speculation is swirling about the possible motive, including "whether Sergeant Melgar had stumbled upon some illicit activity the SEALs were involved in, and they silenced him, according to interviews with troops and their families." (NY Times)

One of the most egregious examples of "illegal activity" would be the supposed killing of Osama Bin Laden on May 2, 2011 in Abbottabad, Pakistan. According to Seymour Hersh's sources, the murdered individual said to have been Bin Laden was never positively identified by anyone, including the shooter who essentially shot the head and body into bloody pulp without any other team members having caught so much as a glimpse of the individual who was shot.

Comment: According to this local resident, what really happened that night in Abbottabad was that three helicopters circled the compound, one touched down, and everyone on it was killed in a fire/explosion.

And that was it, until Pakistani security services (and possibly American counterparts) arrived to shoo bystanders away.

No arrests were made, no Bin Laden showed up, and no shoot-out took place.

Pat Buchanan: The real "plot" was the one to bring down Trump

pat buchanan
Well over a year after the FBI began investigating "collusion" between the Trump campaign and Vladimir Putin, Special Counsel Robert Mueller has brought in his first major indictment.

Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort has been charged with a series of crimes dating back years, though none is tied directly to President Donald Trump or 2016.

With a leak to CNN that indictments were coming, Mueller's office stole the weekend headlines. This blanketed the explosive news on a separate front, as the dots began to be connected on a bipartisan plot to bring down Trump that began two years ago.

And like "Murder of the Orient Express," it seems almost everyone on the train had a hand in the plot.

The narrative begins in October 2015.

Then it was that the Washington Free Beacon, a neocon website, engaged a firm of researchers called Fusion GPS to do deep dirt-diving into Trump's personal and professional life - and take him out.

Clinton mafia spotted meeting with Tony Podesta ahead of Mueller indictment

Tony Podesta
Democratic power lobbyist Tony Podesta, founder of the Podesta Group, announced he is stepping down from the firm that he and his brother John founded, after learning he is a central figure in the wide investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller.

Podesta's decision to leave the firm came on the same day that former Trump campaign aides Paul Manafort and Rick Gates were indicted on multiple charges, including money laundering, operating as federal agents of the Ukrainian government, failing to disclose overseas bank accounts and making false statements to federal authorities.

The investigation into Tony Podesta and his firm mushroomed out of Mueller's examination of Manafort's finances.

Manafort organized a PR campaign on behalf of a nonprofit called the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine, with the Podesta Group playing a central role in the lobbying efforts, and paid handsomely by Manafort to do work on the PR campaign to promote Ukraine to DC lawmakers.
