Germany defends Israeli massacre at Gaza school which killed 100 Palestinians

The IDF airstrike on the Tabeen school in Gaza that reportedly killed 100 Palestinians was legitimate self-defense because Hamas uses civilians as human shields, the German government has said.

Saturday's attack on the facility, which served as a shelter for displaced persons, has been described as the deadliest since the start of the current conflict.

"Israel has the right to defend itself. The reality is that Hamas uses schools, hospitals and kindergartens as command centers and that the people in the Gaza Strip are also abused against their will as protective shields," Wolfgang Buechner, deputy spokesman for the German government, told reporters in Berlin on Monday.

Buechner also urged journalists to "be very careful about sitting on one-sided reports that are distributed by Hamas and believing everything that is spread by this side."

The airstrike on Saturday morning came during the pre-dawn prayers. The Gaza health ministry initially reported 60 dead and 47 wounded. Al Jazeera later reported more than 100 deaths and "dozens" of people injured.

Comment: So journalists are urged to be very careful about sitting on one-sided reports except when those reports come from Israel.

Comment: Germany is once again on the wrong side of history. One wonders if part of the reason to the slavish support of all things Israel has something do blackmail.

Stasi 2.0? Germany to grant police right to 'secretly' search homes - media

The Stasi
The ministry for state security, is written in German.
The German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) may soon be allowed to secretly enter and search homes, according to a draft reform proposal seen by Der Spiegel and RND.

According to the document, police would also have the power to install spyware on suspects' computers or smartphones, in addition to conducting covert searches of their homes. These powers would supposedly only be used in exceptional circumstances.

Comment: Exceptional circumstances means only whenever the state feels it is necessary and it will not tell anyone about it when it happens.

The Interior Ministry has defended the initiative, claiming that the BKA plays a central role in countering international terrorism threats. A spokesperson refused to discuss details of the proposal, which is still at a very early stage, but told Der Spiegel on Wednesday that security agencies must have the necessary powers to effectively counter evolving threats.

Critics have voiced concerns that such far-reaching interventions could undermine the rule of law, as the inviolability of the home is enshrined in Article 13 of the German constitution. Unless there is an "imminent threat," the current process for searches requires a warrant from the prosecutor's office, while police must inform the person of specific suspicions and the purpose of the search.

Comment: The German interior ministry has been happy to shut down dissenting voices and often under the excuse of 'far right' extremism, which covers a whole range of dissenting voices. It is only a month ago that the interior ministry closed down popular German magazine for the audacity of interviewing the Russian spokeswoman for Foreign affairs.

EU state's FM accused of 'preparing to flee country' before start of conflict

Lithuanian opposition MPs have accused the country's foreign minister, Gabrielius Landsbergis, of making preparations to flee the country right before the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out in 2022 in the event the hostilities were to spill over, several news outlets have reported.

The accusations come after Lithuanian media reported last week that in February 2022, just before the fighting between Moscow and Kiev broke out, Landsbergis' wife made an advance payment of €250,000 ($273,000) on a luxury villa on a Greek island.

According to the news outlet Lietuvos rytas, the property in question includes a 313 square-meter house with two terraces and a 23 square-meter guest house. Both Lithuanian and Greek flags have reportedly been seen on the grounds of the villa, which is said to be hidden from prying eyes behind a tall fence.

"It was clear that war in Ukraine was inevitable. It is obvious that Landsbergis, in the face of a difficult geopolitical situation, was ready to sharpen his skis," opposition MP Agnes Sirinskiene told Delfi, adding that she was shocked by the timing of the purchase.

Comment: All bark but no bite. Landsbergis is just one of many Western chickenhawks, who are happy to provoke conflicts and send other people to die in droves, while preparing to flee if things don't work out.

Mush for brains: More NATO members endorse Ukraine's attack on Russia

Prime ministers of Estonia and Finland

The prime ministers of Finland and Estonia have voiced their support for the Ukrainian attack on Russia's Kursk Region, after the EU foreign policy head and US President Joe Biden did so.

Kiev sent several thousand troops across the Russian border last week. They have seized a dozen or so villages and indiscriminately targeted civilians, according to Moscow.

"Ukraine has the right to self-defense and it's clear that they can do their operation in Kursk," Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo told reporters in Helsinki on Wednesday, at the joint press conference with his Estonian counterpart Kristen Michal.

"We fully support Ukraine in its different operations and personally I wish them luck," Michal said.

Comment: The West is doubling down on its losing horse which it has financed, trained, supported and controlled from the very beginning. The fate of the West is tightly linked to the fate of Ukraine.

Putin reaffirms Russia's support for Palestine

Moscow stands for the peaceful resolution of all conflicts, including those in the Middle East, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Tuesday during a meeting with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who is in Moscow on a three-day visit.

Putin praised Russia's "long-standing, deep-rooted ties with the Arab world, and in particular with Palestine," adding that it causes "great concern that a humanitarian catastrophe is occurring in Palestine right now."

According to the Russian leader, the roots of the Gaza conflict are the result of international resolutions regarding the creation of an independent Palestinian state being ignored.

"To establish long-lasting, reliable peace in the region, it is necessary that all the resolutions of the United Nations are implemented, first of all an independent Palestinian State must be established," Putin stressed. "We have adhered to this position for a long time and it hasn't changed with the changes of political environment."

From the article:
Western countries that favor Palestinian statehood have thrown their support behind the Palestinian Authority, which is internationally considered the representative of the Palestinian people, but is a rival of Hamas and only controls parts of the West Bank.
The Wiki for the Palestinian Authority explains:
The Palestinian Authority, officially known as the Palestinian National Authority[a] or the State of Palestine,[7] is the Fatah-controlled government body that exercises partial civil control over the Palestinian enclaves in the Israeli-occupied West Bank as a consequence of the 1993-1995 Oslo Accords.[2][8][9] The Palestinian Authority controlled the Gaza Strip prior to the Palestinian elections of 2006 and the subsequent Gaza conflict between the Fatah and Hamas parties, when it lost control to Hamas; the PA continues to claim the Gaza Strip, although Hamas exercises de facto control. Since January 2013, the Palestinian Authority has used the name "State of Palestine" on official documents, although the United Nations continues to recognize the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) as the "representative of the Palestinian people".[10]
The Wiki has a map:
Palestinian authority
The Palestinian Authority (current de facto control in red) was created to exert partial civil control in the West Bank enclaves and in the Gaza Strip.[2] The Gaza Strip (in light red) is de jure under the Palestinian Authority[3] and de facto under the administration of the Hamas government since 2007.

(Re)Nazification of Bundeswehr

Hitler parade
It's no secret that Germany is going through a rather disturbing societal transformation. Thanks to its lawmakers, moral depravity and decay are taking over, while its economy is being deindustrialized. Berlin's suicidal subservience to the United States and its closest allies is putting the country into a position so bad that only a handful of other Washington DC's vassals and satellite states have it worse (namely the Kiev regime).

The German government first foolishly cut ties with Russia, causing a massive uptick in prices, which then ignited a crawling economic crisis that the country is still going through. Worse yet, thanks to its rather pathetic lack of sovereignty, Berlin is going through an economic decoupling from China and is also trying to impose it on the rest of the European Union. It should be noted that Beijing is its largest trading partner, with an annual trade amounting to over €250 billion ($275 billion).

Iran to Israel: Ceasefire in Gaza war, or retaliation for Haniyh murder will proceed

Only a ceasefire deal in Gaza stemming from hoped-for talks this week would hold Iran back from direct retaliation against Israel for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on its soil, three senior Iranian officials said.

Iran has vowed a severe response to Haniyeh's killing, which took place as he visited Tehran late last month and which it blamed on Israel. Israel has neither confirmed or denied its involvement. The U.S. Navy has deployed warships and a submarine to the Middle East to bolster Israeli defenses.

One of the sources, a senior Iranian security official, said Iran, along with allies such as Hezbollah, would launch a direct attack if the Gaza talks fail or it perceives Israel is dragging out negotiations. The sources did not say how long Iran would allow for talks to progress before responding.

With an increased risk of a broader Middle East war after the killings of Haniyeh and Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr, Iran has been involved in intense dialogue with Western countries and the United States in recent days on ways to calibrate retaliation, said the sources, who all spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter.

Libya's Western-backed gov't braces itself for assault from Haftar's forces in Tripoli

Haftar
© AP/Mohammed El-SheikhyFILE: Khalifa Haftar
The United Nations has called for restraint after the Tripoli-based government in Libya placed its forces on high alert, anticipating an attack from fighters loyal to eastern military leader Khalifa Haftar in the southern desert region.

Libya, a nation rich in energy resources, has been mired in conflict since the 2011 NATO-backed uprising that toppled dictator Moamer Kadhafi.

Comment: A 'dictator' who furnished his peoples with numerous benefits, and whom the West found threatening enough that they had to have him brutally murdered in the street.

The country remains divided between the UN-recognised government in Tripoli in the west and a rival administration supported by Haftar, which governs from Benghazi and Tobruk in the east.

A fragile ceasefire, established in 2020 after government forces repelled a major offensive by Haftar's troops on Tripoli, has mostly held until now.

Comment: One gets the impression that these Western representatives aren't so sure they can hold their positions. Which would make sense given that numerous Middle Eastern, and African, leaders and nations, are pivoting from the West to the multinodal alliance - and fast:

WHO declares mpox global health emergency Africa amidst outbreak of virulent new variant

Monkey pox
© Arlette Bashizi/REUTERSFILE: A man who has been receiving treatment against Mpox at the Goma general hospital following a surge in cases in the Democratic Republic of the Congo
The World Health Organization has declared the mpox outbreaks in Congo and elsewhere in Africa a global emergency, with cases confirmed among children and adults in more than a dozen countries and a new form of the virus spreading. Few vaccine doses are available on the continent.

Comment: There's no reason to believe, yet, that these vaccines are efficacious. Moreover, as with covid and polio, they may even be exacerbating the situation by causing it to mutate, or even causing the outbreaks themselves.

Earlier this week, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the mpox outbreaks were a public health emergency, with more than 500 deaths, and called for international help to stop the virus' spread.

"This is something that should concern us all ... The potential for further spread beyond Africa and beyond is very worrying," said WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

Comment: It's not unreasonable to find the seemingly unexpected appearance of this virulent new variant rather suspect, especially considering: a whole raft of escalatory developments in geopolitics; the WHO's criminal involvement with the contrived coronavirus crisis; the US' sinister biowarfare research; and that this spike occurs alongside a notable report from Yemen that the US-Israel were recently caught trying to 'spread diseases'. That said, it remains to be seen which of those points are involved in this new outbreak.

There are additional, and revealing details about the developing situation, here: 'Alarming': Africa CDC may declare Monkey pox public health emergency amidst surge of 27,000 cases in DRC

The following interview is from 2022, but the Dr's comments seem to be even more relevant to today's unusually virulent outbreak:

Some interesting data on the mpox vaccines themselves, from 2022:
[..] it is associated with rare but serious cardiac side effects and the potential to cause progressive vaccinia, in which the attenuated virus spreads to the whole body.

Moreover, Emergent's vaccine cannot be used in people with HIV or who are immunocompromised.

Although vaccinia has an extensive safety history in humans, cardiac effects such as myocarditis and pericarditis are still a concern.
