Hillary's Fusion GPS met with Russian lawyer before and after Trump Jr. meeting

Last week The Duran reported that the now infamous Don Jr. Trump Tower meeting with a "Russian lawyer" was a PR trap, set up by Fusion GPS with three of the eight officials who were present at the meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and Natalia Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower connected to Fusion GPS.

Remember that Fusion GPS was bought and paid for by the Hillary controlled DNC, all in an effort to smear Trump and undermine America's democracy.

According to Mark Stewart, the General Counsel for the House Committee responding to Fusion GPS, at least three of the people at the meeting with Donald Trump Jr. at Trump Tower in June 2016 were Fusion GPS officials.

NATO guarantee or myth? German memo claims US free to aid allies or not

nato umbrella
© The Economist
Under the NATO Treaty, the US has a right to independently decide whether it is obliged to help its allies, a confidential German memo says. A historian, who obtained the decades-old document, says it effectively makes the whole agreement just a declaration of intent.

"In case of a military attack on any NATO country and Germany in particular, the United States is only obliged to lend such assistance as it deems necessary," a confidential memo prepared for Chancellor Konrad Adenauer in 1955 said. It was drafted about a month after West Germany joined the Alliance.

The document, called "The US assistance obligations to the Federal Republic [of Germany]," adds that the US commitments are in fact "not that extensive." "Even the issue of whether an attack [on a NATO ally] takes place as well as the form and degree of help is left to the discretion of the US," the memo from the German Foreign Ministry's political archive said.

It was obtained by historian and writer at the German Der Spiegel weekly, Klaus Wiegrefe. The historian explains that according to the document, NATO's stance effectively allows the US, just like any other member of the Alliance, to step aside and do nothing in case of an attack on other NATO members.

US hinders humanitarian aid to Syria... again, according to Russian MoD

Convoy

The Russian Defense Ministry said Wednesday that the United States continues to impede humanitarian aid deliveries to embattled areas of Syria.

"During the videoconference, the Russian party raised the issue of the US activities aimed to prevent delivery of humanitarian aid through the 55-km zone. The parties also discussed issues of delivering humanitarian aid to al-Rukban camp and providing security to humanitarian convoys of international humanitarian organizations," the reconciliation center said in a statement.

Earlier in the day, the ministry's Center for Syrian Reconciliation participated in a video conference arranged by the UN office in Geneva. The session involved the International Syria Support Group, including representatives of the UN office in Damascus, Russian Defense Ministry and US Department of Defense, the Amman Monitoring Center and the US command grouping which controls the 55-kilometer (34 miles) zone around the US military base in Syria's At Tanf, where the Rukban refugee camp is located.

The statement specified that in accordance with the memorandum signed in Astana in May, the signatories are obligated to provide immediate and safe access for humanitarian assistance.

Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with government forces fighting numerous opposition factions and Islamic extremist groups. The international community has taken a number of steps aimed at settling the crisis, including different formats of talks, particularly the ones in Geneva and Astana.

Comment: When it comes down to the welfare of refugees or the US military, unfortunately might outweighs plight.

Bring in legislation to make pro-Israel lobbyists in the UK register as 'foreign agents'

UK arms sales to Israel
In 2013, Peter Oborne, the Daily Telegraph's chief political commentator called the Conservative Friends of Israel (CFI), "by far Britain's most powerful pro-Israel lobbying group". It was estimated then that more than 80% of Conservative MPs were CFI members. The same applies today.

CFI's sister lobby in the US is AIPAC, aka the American Israel Zionist Committee, an organization for the promotion of the U.S.-Israel alliance. It has been called 'one of the most powerful lobbying groups in the United States'. Its critics have stated that it acts as an agent of the Israeli government with a "stranglehold" on the United States Congress with its power and influence. The group is strongly allied with the Likud party of Israel, and the Republican Party in the US.

This week, the influence of the CFI lobby in Westminster has been highlighted by the uncovering of the illegitimate activity of the UK Secretary of State for International Development who allegedly attended twelve unauthorised meetings with high-profile, Israeli politicians - apparently arranged and accompanied by a former chief fundraiser for the CFI lobby in London (who was previously ennobled by David Cameron).

Comment: Not only that, but the now former Secretary for International Development Priti Patel was seeking to provide "foreign aid" to the Israeli Army itself - no less! The poor Israeli soldiers must be starving! How's that for "International Development"? See:

Le Pen stripped of immunity from prosecution, accuses French lawmakers of persecuting opponents

Marine Le Pen

National Front leader, Marine Le Pen, has denounced the decision by French lawmakers to strip her of immunity from prosecution over a series of images she posted on Twitter showing gruesome Islamic State executions.

"Better to be a jihadist returning [to France] from Syria than an MP who denounces the abasement of Islamic State [IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL terrorist group]: one takes fewer judicial risks," the President of the National Front said on Twitter.

On Wednesday a multi-party committee of France's National Assembly stripped the 49-year-old politician of her immunity from prosecution over the series of photo tweets Le Pen posted in December of 2015. The decision followed a request by France's Minister of Justice, Nicole Belloubet.

Robert Mueller a profoundly corrupt person

Robert Mueller
Some of the finest investigative journalists have recently documented different parts of what constitutes, in its totality, a single consistent narrative portrayal of Robert Mueller, as being a person who can be understood only as either incredibly incompetent, or else profoundly corrupt (which latter they all seem to be agreeing that he actually is). This complete collective picture of Mueller, as being profoundly corrupt, will be presented here, with links to all of the journalists' articles, each of which, I have personally checked and verified its sources. Consequently, I accept as true, and here summarize, their collective account of Robert Mueller - the former FBI Director and current Special Counsel assigned to assemble a case for impeaching President Trump - as being a profoundly corrupt person:

Saudi Crown Prince 'hungry for war' and Trump seems perfectly 'eager to comply'

Saudi prince MBS Mohammed Bin Salman Donald Trump
© Mark Wilson/Getty ImagesU.S. President Donald Trump meets with Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Crown Prince and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the Oval Office at the White House, March 14, 2017 in Washington, D.C.
"Saudi Arabia has Trump exactly where they want him," argued one expert

Following a massive "power grab" over the weekend that resulted in the arrest of a prominent billionaire and dozens of influential political figures, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) appears to be steering his country to the brink of an all-out war with Iran and Lebanon-and, judging by his tweets late Monday, President Donald Trump is perfectly fine with it.
"MBS is hungry for war all over the region."
-Ryan Grim, The Intercept
"I have great confidence in King Salman and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, they know exactly what they are doing," Trump wrote, offering an endorsement of the mass arrests-which came just a week after White House adviser and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner made a secret visit to Saudi Arabia to push for "peace."

Comment: While the situation does not look good, we have to consider that when the leadership of a country picks its wars, it is forced to assess what the cost will be before making such a decision. Would anyone want to engage in an all-out war with a powerful neighbour in the knowledge that, even if they win, they will be seriously damaged? Most likely not. That is why many wars these days are hugely assymetrical. Normally, a regional or global power picks a weak target because it represents a relatively little cost. But they would do well to think twice before picking directly on another power. In the case of Saudi Arabia, bombing Iran would most certainly not be the same as bombing Yemen.

But what if the US does the bombing on behalf of Saudi Arabia (and Israel)? Perhaps that is their plan. But then again, the geopolitical balance of power has been shifting in recent years, particularly in the Middle East, and now Russia and China are in much stronger positions than they used to be. Would the US risk a direct confrontation with the eastern giants?

For these reasons, it seems more likely that the war waged by Saudi Arabia and Israel against Iran will be waged as it has been so far: via covert means, proxy armies and dirty tricks - perhaps with a focus on Lebanon. We will know soon enough.

Never forget: The US gov't carried out the largest church massacre - 24 years ago, in Waco, Texas

Waco Texas massacre
On Sunday, a horrifying tragedy unfolded as a mass shooting terrorist walked into a Texas church and began slaughtering innocent women, men, and children. The massacre left 26 people dead, according to police, including an unborn child who died inside his pregnant mother.

On Wednesday, the names of the deceased were released along with the heartbreaking photos of the children, two of which were only 5 and 7-years-old. The tragedy is being dubbed the deadliest mass shooting in Texas history.

Sadly, there have been many deadly massacres which have taken place inside places of worship. From the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing to the Charleston Church shooting to Sutherland Springs, over the years, psychotic terrorists have gone into churches and indiscriminately taken innocent lives.

Now, some of those in the mainstream media are calling Sutherland Springs the deadly massacre in a church in US history. However, the actual largest church massacre in history had a far greater death toll.

The US government carried out the deadliest church massacre in history and it led to the deaths of 82 men, women, and children. It all came to a violent end 24 years ago in Texas.

Russian 2018 presidential election candidate Ksenia Sobchak tells CNN she supports US sanctions against her country

Russian presidential hopeful Ksenia Sobchak says she supports the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the US, but added that she considered it wrong that the spat between nations hurt ordinary people.

In an interview with CNN, Sobchak said she personally thinks Russia is responsible for the current poor state of international relations. She also reiterated her allegation that the reunification of Crimea and the Russian Federation was a violation of international law.

Comment: American CNN interviewing election candidates of a foreign country... that it accuses of interfering in its own election. The irony is undoubtedly lost on Western journalists, but can you imagine what they'd be saying if Russian TV had interviewed Trump during the 2016 campaign?

The former socialite went on to voice support to the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by Washington, but noted that in her opinion it was not fair to punish ordinary Russian citizens for the policies of the state, for example, by complicating access to visa services.

This was the second media statement in which Sobchak opposed the reunification of Crimea and Russia, which took place in 2014 after an overwhelming majority of Crimean residents approved of the move in a referendum. In late October this year, at her first press conference in the capacity of a presidential hopeful, she described Crimea as "Ukrainian territory" and claimed that Crimea's accession to the Russian Federation was a violation of the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances.

Comment: Known as 'Russia's Paris Hilton', Ksenia Sobchak was previously a reality TV show hostess.

There is some suspicion that she is a 'manufactured candidate', rather than a real political challenger. She is Anatoly Sobchak's daughter, the same Anatoly Sobchak who was Putin's first political boss when he worked at the St Petersburg Mayor's office in the early 1990s.
