Russian MoD: Moscow scrambles fighter jet after detecting US spy plane approaching Russian border

Russia has scrambled a Su-30 fighter jet after detecting an American Р8А Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft over the Black Sea, according to a Defense Ministry statement. The US spy plane was approaching at high speed to the Russian border, it said.

The Russian fighter jet buzzed the US Navy reconnaissance plane at around 1pm local time (10:00 GMT) as it was flying over the neutral waters of the Black Sea, the ministry said.

"After moving closer, the Russian [Su-30] fighter jet flew over the object and visually identified it as an American reconnaissance aircraft Р8А Poseidon," the statement reads.

Comment: See also: In typical fashion, the Pentagon reported that 'the Russian jet made "unsafe" contact with the Navy reconnaissance aircraft. The Russian Su-30 fighter jet reportedly flew right around 50 feet in front of the P-8A Poseidon, resulting in the American craft experiencing "a 15-degree roll and violent turbulence," CNN reported.' According to another U.S. official, 'the Russian jet was "provocative" in its flight maneuvers and flying "erratically"'. How dare those dastardly Russians. Perhaps this might have something to do with it:
Speaking to Sputnik about the incident, Vladimir Kozin, a professor at the Russian Academy of Military Sciences, said it was worth noting, for context' sake, that the US has been actively engaged in aerial espionage missions all along Russia's borders recently. "According to authoritative military sources, US intelligence-gathering activities on our borders have increased ten-fold in recent years," he observed.
...
Regarding the Pentagon's claims about "unsafe" Russian "behavior," Kozin suggested that all of this was just "noise."

"There were no dangerous interceptions, and will not be any. Our pilots are responsible people, and understand that any dangerous interception can end badly for both sides. Therefore, instead of raising all this noise, the US military should just stop its provocative flights near our territory," the expert said.

"Reconnaissance [by specialized aircraft like the P-8A] may be interpreted by our military as part of preparations for possible military operations, because military aviation doesn't just fly around for no reason. This was not just some civilian drone monitoring road traffic or crop conditions," Kozin warned.

As for what the Pentagon might to do to avoid similar incidents in the future, it's simple, the academic insisted: if the US stops its reconnaissance flights near Russia's borders, the Russian Aerospace Forces will stop their intercepts. "Earlier, when the US didn't engage in these shenanigans, there were no interceptions," he noted.

North Korea tests another ballistic missile - Kim Jong-Un celebrates "completion of nuclear force" program

North Korea has fired a ballistic missile, which splashed down in the Sea of Japan, according to the South Korean, Japanese and US militaries. The Pentagon says an initial assessment indicates it was an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff were the first to report on the launch. "North Korea launched an unidentified ballistic missile eastward from the vicinity of Pyongsong, South Pyongan Province, at dawn today," it said, as cited by Yonhap news agency. Seoul and Washington were analyzing the missile's trajectory, it added.

The Pentagon later said it had detected and tracked a North Korean missile launch.

Comment: Which is absolutely what it is.

This is what North Korea had to say after this latest launch:
A statement from the North Korean government claimed that the new missile, which is called Hwasong-15, is capable of carrying a super-large heavy warhead. "This system has much greater advantages in its tactical and technological specifications and technical characteristics than Hwasong-14," it said, calling the new missile its "most powerful" ICBM to date.

"After watching the successful launch of the new type ICBM Hwasong-15, Kim Jong Un declared with pride that now we have finally realized the great historic cause of completing the state nuclear force, the cause of building a rocket power," the government said, calling the successful launch a "priceless victory" for the North Korean people.

The government added that its development of long-range missiles is to defend the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity against the "nuclear threat" from the United States. "As a responsible nuclear power and peace-loving state, the DPRK will make every possible effort to serve the noble purpose of defending peace and stability of the world," it said.
They also released more details on the missile itself, claiming that it is capable of re-entering earth's atmosphere:
State media reported on Wednesday that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un personally oversaw the missile test and referred to the new launcher as "impeccable" and a "breakthrough."

North Korea fired a ballistic missile which splashed down in the Sea of Japan early Wednesday, according to South Korean, Japanese, and US militaries. The Pentagon's initial assessment indicated it was an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).

Pyongyang said the missile reached an altitude of around 4,475 kilometers (2,780 miles), more than 10 times the height of the International Space Station. It said it flew 950 kilometers (690 miles) during its flight, which lasted 53 minutes. Similar altitude and distance figures were previously cited by the South Korean military.
While we're waiting for the US to do something rather than talk hot air, we may as well watch Kim smiling as his generals lob another missile...

The arbitration tribunal had no competence to examine claims filed by Yukos, Head of the International Legal Protection Center Andrei Kondakov said.
Russia's representatives have responded to ex-Yukos shareholders' attempt to repeal The Hague District Court's ruling and reinstate an arbitration award obliging Russia to pay $50 billion, Head of the International Legal Protection Center representing Russia in the Yukos case Andrei Kondakov told TASS on Tuesday.

"The Russian Federation has sent a memorandum to The Hague Court of Appeal, giving a detailed reply to the complaint by former Yukos shareholders (Hulley Enterprises Limited, Yukos Universal Limited and Veteran Petroleum Limited), with the help of which they are trying to repeal the ruling by the District Court of The Hague passed in favor of Russia in April 2016," he said.

Floating Guantánamos: US government running black site prisons on the open seas

ankle chain
The war on drugs has produced the vilest police state one can imagine. From secret black site prisons-operating in Chicago-with no due process, to midnight raids in which babies faces are blown off by police grenades, attempting to stop Americans from self-medicating has proven to be a disastrous failure. Now, however, it seems to have gotten worse as an ad-hoc US detention system has recently been discovered - floating in the Pacific Ocean in international waters as to exist outside the realm of the US justice system.

These secret prisons, floating in international waters, to avoid the US justice system, exist because, under the guise of protecting you from yourself, the US government spends billions on enforcing the failed drug war-all at the expense of freedom.

A jaw-dropping report from the NY Times exposes these prisons, dubbing them "floating Guantánamos."

According to the Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Act of 1986, drug smugglers caught in international waters are considered to be committing a crime against the United States, even when there was no proof that the drugs, often carried on foreign boats, were bound for the United States. The Coast Guard was conscripted as the agency empowered to seek out suspected smugglers and bring them to American courts, the Times reports.

'Russia 10X more important to us than France'; Czech Prez to Putin

Czech prez. Zeman with Putin
Czech President: "No need to translate. Even journalists must understand Russian. If they don't, too bad for them." The Anglo-American Zionists and their EU puppets are currently having a hissy fit over that one.
Yet again the Russian news picks up a great story ignored in the west. Below is a video on our YouTube channel of the meeting between the Russian and Czech Presidents. (Full transcript below).

Perhaps what is most interesting aside from Czech President Zeman's open Russophilia is his fluency in the Russian language. This illustrates the deeper aspect of Russian soft power that Americans don't understand, Slavic culture.

Enormous pressure on Trump to arm Kiev; but that would be stupid

Ukraine Nazis
John Hudson reports on the push to get Trump to approve sending arms to Ukraine:
President Donald Trump's top advisers are closer now to achieving what seemed unthinkable at the start of his presidency: Shipping millions of dollars of US weapons to Ukraine's embattled military.
According to the report, Trump's advisers think that the president will agree to arming Ukraine if they can persuade him that it will lead to "peace" and the Ukrainian government will pay for the weapons. It's possible that they might sucker Trump into believing this, but he would be a fool to listen to them.

Sending arms to Ukraine makes a dramatic increase in violence more likely. It will almost certainly lead to escalation and will make a peace settlement even harder to reach.

The tweet that shook the snowflakes: Top Dems call off sit-down with Trump after 'Chuck and Nancy' tweet

Schumer and Pelosi
Things were going smoothly as a bipartisan group of lawmakers worked together to avoid a government shutdown - and then President Trump tweeted.

Top Democrats dropped out of a planned White House sit-down with Trump on Tuesday after he insulted party leaders and tweeted that he "didn't see a deal" hours before their scheduled sitdown, raising fears that the federal government is speeding toward the proverbial fiscal cliff.

"The staffs were making great progress until the President stepped in. We were very close on a number of issues," said Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), who along with top House Democrat Nancy Pelosi of California was supposed to meet with Trump and their Republican counterparts at the White House.

Comment: Who knew all it takes is a slightly harsh tweet to stop Pelosi and Schumer from showing up! Seriously, though, it's nice to see they're so dedicated to their stall tactics that they're willing to look like precious snowflakes in order to achieve it. See also:

'I'm ready for jail': NYC comedian the next target in ridiculous 'Russia investigation'

Randy Credico

New York comedian Randy Credico has become the unlikely focus of the US government's Russia investigation. He believes the US is trying to use him as a pawn to undermine WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who has been dubbed a "demon" by the CIA director.

Credico is a leftist comedian, radio host, and civil rights activist who calls New York City home. The letter he received this month didn't have anything to do with comedy, radio, or civil rights, however.

Signed by Congressman Michael Conaway (R-Texas), who leads the Russia investigation in the House Intelligence Committee, and the ranking member, Congressman Adam Schiff (D-California), the letter requested that Credico "participate in a voluntary, transcribed interview at the Committee's offices" during the first half of December, Alternet reports.

Negotiations between Trump and Democrats for spending deal break down before starting

Negotiations between President Trump and congressional Democrats over funding the government past Dec. 8 broke down before they even began on Tuesday, with leaders of the minority party backing out of a meeting at the White House that they said was just for show.

The White House had scheduled a meeting for Tuesday afternoon with the president; Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.; Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.; House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis.; and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. Trump tweeted on Tuesday morning that "Chuck and Nancy" wanted "illegal immigrants flooding into our country unchecked" and to "substantially raise taxes." He added he therefore did not "see a deal" on "keeping government open and working."

A current stopgap measure to fund agencies is set to expire Dec. 8.
Meeting with "Chuck and Nancy" today about keeping government open and working. Problem is they want illegal immigrants flooding into our Country unchecked, are weak on Crime and want to substantially RAISE Taxes. I don't see a deal!

- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 28, 2017
Hours after the tweet, Schumer and Pelosi issued a joint statement saying they were no longer attending the scheduled meeting. Talking with Trump, they said, would be a waste of their time.

"Given that the president doesn't see a deal between Democrats and the White House, we believe the best path forward is to continue negotiating with our Republican counterparts in Congress instead," they said. "Rather than going to the White House for a show meeting that won't result in an agreement, we've asked Leader McConnell and Speaker Ryan to meet this afternoon."

Schumer and Pelosi noted they have been working with Republicans consistently to avoid a shutdown and will continue those talks.

Another one who just won't go: Obama to meet with world leaders on 'Asian tour' on heels of Trump

Donald Trump and Barack Obama

As he did with President Trump's European trip, Obama will follow closely on actual president's heels.

Just as he did after President Donald Trump's trip to Europe, former President Barack Obama will make a tour of Asia, weeks after Trump returned from his first official state visit abroad to Japan and China.

The "shadow president," apparently concerned that his successor will somehow make the results of Obama-era foreign policy worse, will visit China's president and make an extra stop in India, potentially as a way of countering any Trump-related damage there (First Daughter Ivanka is in India this week promoting educational initiatives for girls).
