Flashback Sebastian Gorka is a casualty of the political left-right Jewish civil war

Jews are sadly accustomed to becoming collateral damage in disputes in other peoples' civil wars. Dr. Sebastian Gorka, a senior White House official, is one of the few gentile victims of a Jewish civil war. Dr. Gorka, long a Fox News commentator on counter-terrorism, will speak at the Jerusalem Post's annual New York conference in May and at this year's Zionist Organization of America Gala. But a left-leaning Jewish website, the Forward, has published 39 articles alleging that Gorka has neo-Nazi ties in Hungary, the country of his parents' birth where he was active in politics during the 2000s.

American media have been carrying unconfirmed reports that Gorka will leave the White House, where he works in the Strategic Initiatives Group, perhaps for another post in the government. It is not clear whether he will leave, much less whether his possible departure was motivated by the campaign against him. The bigger issue for the Jewish world, though, is whether we can contest our differences without resorting to mendacity and slander.

Comment: Gorka has drawn the ire of the left in general for his support of Trump's policies.

Get all the facts out on the FBI and the Department of Justice

DevinNunes

Both the New York Times and the Washington Post yesterday ran editorials calling for prior restraint on a memo written by the duly elected chairman of the House Intelligence Committee after he and his staff reviewed classified documents related to the so-called Russia investigation. These editorials are a stain on American journalism, much like the Japanese internment camps were a stain on the record of the Supreme Court. They should - and, I think, will over time - regret them.

I have no idea what is in this memo, but it's a memo. It's speech. It's from the very staff and people our Constitution assigns to oversee the Justice Department and the FBI. And the elected officials who wrote it think I should see it. The people who don't want me to see it are the elected officials and leaders of the Democratic Party, the institutions and individuals whose actions are being reviewed, and several of the same newspapers that went to court to publish the "Pentagon Papers."

Comment: You can read the memo here, if you haven't already: Finally! House Intel Committee releases 'the memo' - here's what it says

For about a year, anyone who wanted to could read the secret "dossier" prepared by GPS Fusion and paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party. I urge people to read it. It's obvious nonsense. It's not "unverified." It's been discredited. Its major allegations, aside from being preposterous, have no basis in fact. The idea that something, anything, could be found in it that is true - such as that Trump adviser Carter Page went to Moscow - does not rehabilitate it.

Comment: The memo does confirm important information about the bias of the FBI and DOJ and the misuse of FISA against the Trump campaign. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that this will change much - at least those who are firmly in the Democrat/anti-Trump camp will probably keep on believing the 'Russian collusion' fairy tale in spite of all evidence against it.

How to drain the swamp when lobbyists keep filling it up?

President Donald Trump promised to drain the swamp. Instead, it's filling up.

For the first time since 2007, the number of registered lobbyists along with federal lobbying expenditures went up, reversing annual declines in both registrations and spending that began a decade ago.

In all, $3.34 billion was spent on federal lobbying last year, up 6 percent from $3.15 billion a year ago. The increase comes after lobbying expenditures had declined five of the past six years - spending rose less than 1 percent the other year.

Comment: Maybe the increase in lobbying can all be blamed on Soros. See also:

Flashback CIA admits to spying on US Senate staffers

  • CIA director apologises for improper conduct of agency staff
  • One senator calls on John Brennan to resign in wake of scandal

The director of the Central Intelligence Agency, John Brennan, issued an extraordinary apology to leaders of the US Senate intelligence committee on Thursday, conceding that the agency employees spied on committee staff and reversing months of furious and public denials.

Brennan acknowledged that an internal investigation had found agency security personnel transgressed a firewall set up on a CIA network, which allowed Senate committee investigators to review agency documents for their landmark inquiry into CIA torture.

Among other things, it was revealed that agency officials conducted keyword searches and email searches on committee staff while they used the network.

Dems sulking over FISA memo release: Rush to claim GOP serves Russian interests

Putin

The newly released Republican memo on alleged FBI and Justice Department abuses has sent advocates of the Russiagate theories into meltdown. They immediately said it was all done in Russia's interests.

US Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) rushed to say the latest developments surrounding the FBI and the Department of Justice (DOJ) "serve no American interests - no party's, no president's, only Putin's." The life-long Russophobe even issued a special statement on the day of the memo's release, expressing his discontent with the situation.

McCain never alluded to the contents of the document itself in his statement, referring to it as "the latest attacks on the FBI and Department of Justice" instead. He then proceeded with his traditional demonization of Russia by once again accusing Moscow of a range of offenses - from hacking to spreading disinformation - all presented as self-sufficient truths, and without proof.

Comment: Anyone capable of reading English will understand that the House Intelligence Committee memo outlines the collective abuse of power by an upper echelon at the FBI, members of the DOJ, and the Obama White House, colluding in an attempt to shoehorn Killary into office. All the whining in the world will not change that fact.

US oil production tops 10 million barrels a day for first time in the last 48 years

    ยฉ EIA
  • U.S. crude oil production broke 10 million barrels a day in November for the first time since production peaked in 1970, at the start of a decades long decline.
  • The U.S. is the world's third largest oil producer, and its status is growing. Russia is the largest, with about 11 million barrels a day. The U.S. output rivals Saudi Arabia, which has had production of 10.6 million barrels a day, but currently has cut back due to the OPEC deal with Russia and others to keep supply off the market.
  • The U.S. production is expected to expand and could top 12 million barrels a day by the end of 2019, according to Dan Yergin, IHS Markit Vice Chairman.

Streisand Effect: Why #ReleaseTheMemo garnered so much publicity?

Not Memo , Mission Statement
© Unknown
Barbara Streisand in May 2003 sicced her lawyers on a photographer whose shots of the California coastline, intended to document erosion, had captured Streisand's seaside Malibu mansion. Streisand demanded the image come down off the Internet.

The photograph had only been downloaded six times, twice by Streisand's lawyers, until the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court became public. You can guess what happened then. Hundreds of thousands of Internet users downloaded, published, and shared it.

The "Streisand Effect" occurs when efforts to keep something from the public result in massively greater public attention. That's what we're witnessing with the memo from House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif.

Flashback Six US agencies conspired to illegally wiretap Trump, say federal 'sources' - British intel used as NSA front

James Comey
From the beginning it was a set up to find dirt on Trump campaign insiders and if possible to topple Donald Trump's presidential aspirations.

Before and after the 2016 election. And while this operation had many moving parts and alternating players, the mission to unseat Trump never changed. And it remains ongoing.

Paul Manafort was wiretapped. Cater Page was wiretapped. Donald Trump Jr. was wiretapped. Jared Kushner was wiretapped. Gen. Michael Flynn was wiretapped. And likely there were others.

And none of it was very legal.

In fact, most of it was very illegal, according to federal law enforcement sources who are blowing the whistle on a sweeping scheme to undermine the Executive branch and the electorate's choice for president of the United States.

Comment: This is juicy information that goes much further than what the recently released FISA memo reveals - unfortunately it comes from unverifiable 'sources'. Still, we might see hints of some of the above in future memos.

Why does George Soros loathe Trump and Bitcoin?

soros
© Associated Press / Kevin Wolf/ FileGeorge Soros, self-styled 'god'
In his recent speech at Davos, the infamous billionaire George Soros lashed out at Donald Trump and Bitcoin. Maybe, he hates them both because Bitcoin is the "Donald Trump of currencies."

Although the annual World Economic Forum at Davos is almost universally considered a snoozefest for the world's wealthy elite, it does have some public utility. For instance, it is useful to know what trends and which people are deemed to be dangerous by the global financial and political elite.

Surprisingly, the globalists who gather at Davos are often quite candid about their fears and their hate towards politicians, who refuse to implement their political and economic agenda. George Soros, whose name is synonymous with globalism, spoke at length about his likes, dislikes and fears. Let's have a look inside the mind of the influential American oligarch.

Comment: Not that Soros and his ilk won't try. Starting a war is always a good way to distract the peasants.

GOP Rep. Gosar will seek prosecution of FBI, DOJ officials for "treason" in FISA memo

McCabe Comey Rosenstein
Andrew McCabe, James Comey, Rod Rosenstein
In a letter published Friday, Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) announced he will seek the criminal prosecution of FBI and Justice Department officials in response to the "treason," laid out in the recently released FISA abuse memo.

"The FBI knowingly took false information from the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign and then used it to smear Donald Trump in order to hurt his campaign," wrote Gosar.

"The full-throated adoption of this illegal misconduct and abuse of FISA by James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Sally Yates and Rod Rosenstein is not just criminal but constitutes treason," Gosar continued.

Comment: Prosecution of flagrant abuse of power is a good start. Then clean up the departmental culture that made it possible.
