Russia wants to see more people who comprehend it and want to live in peace, the president has said

Some people in the West do not understand Russia, yet that fact does not hamper the country's development, President Vladimir Putin has said.

The Russian president made those remarks on Wednesday during a meeting of the supervisory board of the Movement of the First, a Russian organization for children and youth.

Comment:
1)
It is possible to "increase the number of people who understand us and want to live with us in peace and friendship" but there are forces that try to scare people away from even trying. Another question is, how many, especially in the so-called western countries, would not only be capable of, but also curious enough to learn, and, who knows, gradually move toward a perspective on Russia that is contradicted on a daily basis by the steady stream of mass media headlines and so-called news reports? By the way, to understand Russia is not the same as moving from one black and white position to another. As always there will be nuances. Even Russian people view their history and life experiences differently. Below are some links to recent articles and some that lead to the history of Russia since Russian Revolution.

Nothing hinky here: Dem-appointed judge who blocked gang deportations will now hear lawsuit over Trump admin Signal chat

Judge James Boasberg FBI jan 6
Judge James Boasberg
The judge who blocked the Trump administration from deporting foreign gang members will hear a lawsuit challenging officials' use of a Signal chat to discuss attack plans.

American Oversight alleged in its lawsuit Tuesday that the app Signal, where officials hosted a chat about plans to bomb the Houthis in Yemen that included The Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg, does not comply with federal record laws.

"Upon information and belief, under current State recordkeeping rules and practices, officials do not forward Signal messages, including messages from the Signal chat, to their official email accounts, thereby barring American Oversight and other FOIA [Freedom of Information Act] requesters from obtaining responsive records to which they are otherwise entitled under FOIA, particularly if such Signal messages are set to auto-delete," the lawsuit states.

Vocal critic of pro-Western Moldovan gov't, who leads autonomous region, arrested

A vocal critic of Moldova's pro-Western government, who leads an autonomous region in the EU candidate state, has denounced her arrest on what she claims to be fabricated criminal charges.

Yevgenia Gutsul was taken into custody on Tuesday evening at the international airport in the Moldovan capital, Chisinau, with the authorities saying she was on a wanted list. In a statement released through her lawyers on Thursday, she accused the government of pursuing a plan to dismantle the region of Gagauzia's autonomy through lawfare targeting her administration.

"I am behind bars now under trumped up charges, yet my heart and my soul is with you," she said, addressing the people of Gagauzia.

"This arrest is not a personal attack. It's part of Chisinau's grand plan to destroy our autonomy. Law enforcement officials controlled by the [ruling party] PAS have been trying to put pressure on me with bogus criminal cases for two years," she added.

Western Europeans deprived of defense

NATO Headquarters
© UnknownNATO headquarters in the suburbs of Brussels
At its founding, the Alliance employed many former Nazi officers (including Klaus Barbie, who was only dismissed at the express request of France). The architect who designed its new headquarters failed to notice that, seen from an airplane, it reproduced the SS acronym.
The possible withdrawal of the United States from its preeminent position in NATO, even if it does not withdraw from the Atlantic Alliance, sends the political West back to its own devices. How can peace be ensured on the continent? The European Defense project, developed by François Mitterrand and Jacques Chirac, does not allow for the defense of the European space, but only provides the EU with the means to intervene in the event of a massacre abroad. The projects of Emmanuel Macron and Keir Starmer correspond to the needs of their countries, but in no way to those of the continent. However, time is running out as conflicts loom in northern Ukraine, Moldova, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The numerous meetings held in Paris, London, and Brussels on the future of Western defense policy all considered a partial or complete US withdrawal from NATO. The Ukrainian issue was merely a pretext that interested only a few participants.

What does "US withdrawal" mean?

'We rightfully own this land': Gaza's residents on Trump's proposed exodus

While it appeals to some, many choose resilience over uncertain promises abroad.

Israel's controversial plan to relocate the people of Gaza abroad - a proposal supported by US President Donald Trump but widely condemned by the international community - has left the lives of millions hanging in the balance. Hailed as an "opportunity for renewal" by its proponents and labeled "ethnic cleansing" by critics, the plan aims to empty the war-torn enclave, offering those leaving a chance to rebuild their lives abroad.

However, with Arab and African nations firmly closing their doors, and Gazans themselves torn between despair and defiance, the question remains: Is this truly a route to stability, or merely another chapter of displacement and uncertainty?

Israel's relocation plan

Israel remains committed to relocating Gazans. Earlier this week, the Political-Security Cabinet approved Defense Minister Israel Katz's proposal to establish a voluntary transitional administration for residents willing to move to third-party nations, aligning with President Trump's vision.

Comment: Israel's decades-on preference is 'relocating' Gazans permanently in-ground. But engaging other countries to shoulder the responsibility is super cost-effective and offers a more generous optic to the Palestinian eradication apocalypse.

Comment: One would hope that Trump's efforts to block US borders from the daily onslaught of illegal immigrants would offer a clue to relocation refusals from other countries.

Fire

Who really started the Heathrow fire?

airport fire
© ibtimes.sgHeathrow Fire
The most logical way of looking at the fire at the busiest airport hub in the world, is to ask who benefits the most from it. Clue: it isn't Russia.

The Heathrow airport fire took everyone by surprise as such events are not supposed to happen, given the safeguards in place in and round airports. Heathrow has its own electricity supply from the grid, which, on the day failed and so a seamless switch to a massive Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) which it owns - a 'substation' should have gone practically unnoticed. But this is where poor installation or maintenance caused a fire to start and to make the headlines when the busiest airport hub in the world had to be shut down and hundreds of thousands of passengers faced a logistical nightmare travelling to their intended destination.

So far no one is able to determine the cause of the fire as such investigations can take weeks, if not months. Yet it's interesting to note that the deep state in the UK has already capitalized on the event to kill a few birds with the one stone. Barely a couple of days passed before we read in the mainstream press that Russia is the culprit and that the fire was a deliberate attack carried out by Moscow, in line with other 'state sponsored acts of terrorism'.

The deal ensures the safety of navigation in the Black Sea, according to a statement.

Russia and the US have committed to advancing the Black Sea Initiative as a step towards settling the Ukraine conflict, according to a statement released by the Kremlin on Tuesday. The agreement follows the 12-hour talks focused on the Ukraine conflict held on Monday in Saudi Arabia by expert groups from the two countries.

The sides discussed steps to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea, including a pledge to avoid the use of force and prevent commercial vessels from being used for military purposes, while agreeing on control measures such as ship inspections.

According to the Kremlin statement:
"The US has vowed to help restore access for Russian agricultural and fertilizer exports to the world market, reduce the cost of insurance for maritime transportation, and enhance access to ports and payment systems for such transactions."

The EU is an unholy union of globalism and anti-free speech measures: "A New World Order with European values"

The Brandenburg Gate

Globalists gathered in Berlin to seek a new era based on European values that not only involve the expansion of transnational systems but the contraction of free speech rights.

"A New World Order With European Values." Emblazoned across banners and signs, those words met the participants at this week's meeting of the World Forum in Berlin.

Each year, leaders, executives, journalists and academics gather to address the greatest threats facing humanity. This year, there was little doubt about what they view as the current threat: the resurgence of populism and free speech.

In fairness to the Forum, "a New World Order" likely sounds more ominous for some civil libertarians than intended. While the European Union is a transnational government stretching across 27 nations, the organizers were referring to a shift of values away from the United States to Europe.

EU rejects US-mediated Black Sea ceasefire deal

The bloc still hopes to "maximize pressure" on Moscow, a European Commission spokesperson has told the Financial Times

The EU will not fulfill Russia's demand to lift sanctions on the country's main agricultural bank as part of the Black Sea ceasefire initiative discussed between Moscow and Washington, European Commission Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Anitta Hipper has said.

During the talks between Russian and US experts in Riyadh on Monday, the sides agreed to move towards reviving the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which, according to the Kremlin, should include the removal of Western restrictions against Russian Agricultural Bank and other financial institutions involved in the international sale of food and fertilizers. The maritime ceasefire is seen by Moscow and Washington as a step towards settling the Ukraine conflict.

In her interview with the Financial Times on Wednesday, Hipper insisted that "the end of the Russian unprovoked and unjustified aggression in Ukraine and unconditional withdrawal of all Russian military forces from the entire territory of Ukraine would be one of the main preconditions to amend or lift sanctions."

Comment: The EU is not interested in peace.

Comment: The EU commission is not happy to know that it is irrelevant and that the EU and Ukraine are not at the adults table where the real negotiations are taking place. So while the adults at discussing the peace settlement, the kids are busy messing up the place and the future for the EU citizens.
