Delusional? Joe Biden tiptoes towards a 2020 run

Setting his sights on 2020
Former Vice President Joe Biden is tiptoeing toward a potential presidential run in 2020, even broaching the possibility during a recent gathering of longtime foreign policy aides.

Huddled in his newly opened office steps from the U.S. Capitol, Biden began a planning meeting for his new diplomacy center by addressing the elephant in the room. He said he was keeping his 2020 options open, considering it a real possibility. He insisted he had made no decision, and didn't need to yet, according to five people who either attended the meeting or were briefed on it by those who did.

Biden also expressed interest in bringing those in the room onto his team if he decides to launch a campaign. At the same time, he gave them an out: There would be no hard feelings if they decided they were content in their current roles outside of government, said the people, who demanded anonymity to discuss a private meeting.

The political world has long tried to game out Biden's plans for 2020. After all, he came close to running last time only to see President Donald Trump pull off a victory that many Democrats openly suggest wouldn't have happened had he, not Hillary Clinton, been their nominee. Several people came away from the meeting with the impression that if no strong Democratic candidate emerges in the next year or so, Biden would feel strongly compelled to run.

A presidential candidate twice before, Biden would be 78 on Inauguration Day if elected in 2020, a concerning prospect for some Democrats even though he's only a few years older than Trump. One possibility that Biden's longtime advisers have discussed privately is that he could announce his intention to serve only one term, clearing the path for his running mate to take over in 2024 and potentially setting up Democrats for a 12-year White House stretch.

Comment: What Biden didn't say was to what degree the 2016 election criminality and defamation has decimated the Democratic Party and his own culpability as a shadow co-conspirator in the eyes of the public. As the swamp drains, so may his support.

Netanyahu taunts Iranian FM at Munich Security Conference with drone fragment

Israeli PM Netanyahu's drone fragment
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used a piece of what he said was fragment of an Iranian drone downed by the Israeli military to taunt Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif.

Netanyahu used the prop while addressing a gathering at the Munich Security Conference on Sunday. "Mr. Zarif, you recognize this?" he asked while holding what looked like a piece of an aircraft wing. "You should, it's yours. You can take back with you a message to the tyrants of Tehran: Do not test Israel's resolve."

The Israeli leader used the platform of the conference in Germany to attack Iran, describing it as the world's greatest threat.

Earlier on February 10, Israel reported destroying an Iranian drone after it crossed into Israeli airspace from Syria. In retaliation, the Jewish state launched an air raid on a Syrian military facility, from which it said the drone was piloted. The Israeli Air Force lost an F-16 to Syrian anti-aircraft fire during the raid, and responded with what Israel described as the biggest air operation against Syria in decades.

Comment: 'Props' to the speakers -- well, one or two of them. Drama aside, the drone was over Golan Heights, still on the books as being Syrian territory. The level of Israel's military retaliation could be considered an act of war.

According to another RT report:
Iran's foreign minister ridiculed a security conference speech by Netanyahu, who used a part of a drone to make a point. He lashed out at Israel's "aggression to neighbors" and mentioned the country's "crumbling invincibility."

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif spoke at the Munich Security Conference a few hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu displayed what he said was a piece of an Iranian drone shot down last week by Israeli forces. The Iranian official dismissed the use of the prop as a "cartoonish circus" that was meant "to blame others for its own strategic blunders, or maybe to evade the domestic crisis they're facing."

He added that Israel was avoiding discussion of its own hostile and destructive policies in the Middle East. "Israel uses aggression as a policy against its neighbors," Zarif said, citing the regular air incursions into Syria and Lebanon. "The entire speech [by Netanyahu] was trying to evade the issue."

Zarif also said that the loss of a fighter jet by Israel during the latest flare-up on the Syrian border tarnished the image of invincibility the Israeli military has.

Tillerson: No deviation from 'big sticks' strategy with North Korea

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson
The US approach to North Korea is showing no signs of softening, after Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said the government is using "big sticks" rather than delicate diplomacy to enable talks.

The leaders of the two nations have engaged in a series of bizarre tit-for-tat insults over the last year, with Tillerson previously admitting that military intervention in North Korea was a possibility. North Korea's efforts to develop its ballistic missile program has raised tensions on the Korean peninsula, while the country's supreme leader Kim Jong-Un has eyed the US mainland as a potential "nuclear strike zone."

Amid the threatening rhetoric, the US government has maintained sanctions against North Korea, with which it has no official diplomatic ties. In an interview with CBS 60 Minutes scheduled to air Sunday, Tillerson said that while communication channels are open, the US will continue its current approach.

Comment: The 'right of might' versus the 'might of right'. One of these is diplomatic.

February 17th, anniversary of the Libyan revolution lie, destruction and crimes against humanity

February 17th is the anniversary of one of the greatest crimes against humanity in current times perpetrated against the sovereign country of Libya. These crimes were made using a false flag lie (there was NO revolution in Libya) and committed by the proxy army of the New World Order known as NATO, ordered by Khazarian Zionists; Clinton, Obama, Levy, Sarkozy, Cameron, McCain, Qatar, Israel and Saudi Arabia.

The false flag was perpetrated by starting an uprising the Middle East and North Africa that was called the "Arab Spring". This uprising was created and caused by the CIA, Mossad and MI6. Of course they found mercenaries who joined their cause for pay to completely destabilize the MENA region (Middle East North Africa). Most of these mercenaries were radical Islamists and were part of radical groups known as Al Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood, Ansar Al Shiria, Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, Al Nusra and others. (they change their names to confuse the West but they all work together). These same groups have become to be known as ISIS, ISIL, Daesh, etc. Again all the same, funded, armed and trained by the criminal cabal known as the New World Order.

One of the main reasons for this attack was because many of the countries in that region were not members of and controlled by the bankers that would control the entire world with their Babylonian Debt scheme and fiat worthless currency. Ghadafi had started a gold backed currency for the continent of Africa. All the Arab countries had signed on and more that half of Africa. The currency had moved ahead and was to be centered out of the Comoro Islands. This one act that would have freed Africa from the darkness of poverty and control by the western Zionists, would have destroyed the criminal bankers and their toilet paper currency. This is one of the main reasons why Ghadafi was killed.

Delusional Joe Biden says Russia is in 'serious decline' and threatens the stability of the 'liberal world order' at the same time

Former US Vice President Joe Biden
Former US Vice President Joseph Biden delivered an impassioned speech which alternated between attacking Russia and praising the US-led world order, while omitting the essence of the ongoing Cold War redux.

Biden, a former senator and America's second-highest official for two terms, took to the podium at the Munich Security Conference (MSC) on Friday evening to deliver a moving speech about the threat posed by Russian President Vladimir Putin to the "liberal world order." He said NATO members must oppose these "malign activities" and stick to their values, even though the US did not do this under the administration he was part of.

Russia-bashing is a popular game for Western politicians nowadays. Biden was not the first speaker at the MSC to focus on the menace of the East, although unlike Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, he didn't address his anti-Kremlin rally cry to a nearly deserted hall. On the contrary, it was packed full, including by some former Obama officials like John "you don't invade a country on phony pretext" Kerry, the ex-Secretary of State.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Sunday held a speech at the 2018 Munich Security Conference, in which he elaborated on the issue of Syria's territorial integrity and on the progress made at Astana peace talks.

On Syria's Territorial Integrity

"We have to be sincere that we are supporting territorial integrity of Syria and we need to pay more attention to political process, which is as important as fighting terrorist organizations," Cavusoglu said.

The Turkish minister added that supporting a terrorist organization against another terrorist group was "a big mistake" as such an approach put Syria's future at risk.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
The Israel Securities Authorities has opened an investigation into allegations that the country's largest telecommunications company Bezeq received benefits so as to deal with positive media coverage of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Several senior executives from the Israeli telecommunications giant Bezeq, including two close associates of Benjamin Netanyahu, have been arrested as part of the corruption probe into the Israeli Prime Minister's alleged corruption activities.

The detainees include Communications Ministry Director General Shlomo Filbert, who is accused of handing confidential documents to Bezeq to add to the company's favorable treatment and provide positive media coverage of Netanyahu.

Police also nabbed Shaul Elovitch, the controlling shareholder of Bezeq, who is suspected of communicating with the Israeli Prime Minister.

Comment: Even Israelis are getting fed up with Bibi

Staffan de Mistura: Break-up of Syria may lead to 'Balkanization' of Middle East

The unity and sovereignty of Syria must be preserved to avoid the process of fragmentation into smaller parts, the so-called Balkanization, in the Middle East, UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura said Sunday.

"The biggest danger in Syria at the moment is fragmentation. And that it is terribly dangerous because, if we go into leaving it as such and not maintaining... the sovereignty of the country in a unified way, we may get a thing to Balkanization or a chronic Balkanization [of the region]," de Mistura said at the 54th Munich Security Conference.

According to de Mistura, he sees for the first time in four years that large countries are directly involved in the conflict in Syria, and "this can lead to incidents," adding, "there are large movements of troops, but these are responsible countries and I am sure they will behave responsibly," he added.

"We need a comprehensive political process, we are talking about elections under UN supervision," Mistura said. "This will prevent [the emergence of] a new Daesh as a result of fragmentation, this will give a chance to the political process."

Trump: FBI could have prevented Florida mass shooting if they weren't so obsessed with hunting Russians

US President Trump has accused the FBI of being too obsessed with Russian interference to see the clues that could have prevented the recent mass shooting in a Florida school. Seventeen people died in Wednesday's massacre.

US President Donald Trump tweeted that it's "very sad" the FBI failed to notice all of the signs the Florida shooter exhibited before the tragedy. Instead, the Bureau was hunting for ways to prove Trump had Russian help in his 2016 presidential election victory.

On Wednesday, a teenager armed with an AR-15 arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, and proceeded to kill 17 people and injure over a dozen more. Nikolas Cruz, 19, who was apprehended shortly after the shooting, has confessed to the killings.

Behind the Headlines: Florida School Mass Shooting: Gun Control, Mental Illness and the Criminal Mind

students florida shooting

Finer and finer orders of control
Another mass shooting took place in the US last week, this time at a high school in south Florida. The gunman was apparently 19-year-old dropout Nikolas Cruz, who waltzed into the school with an AR-15 rifle and some spare clips of ammo, then slaughtered 17 students and teachers in cold blood. He escaped the shooting scene by hiding among the fleeing students, but was later picked up by law enforcement.

Cruz was associated with a White Nationalist group in Florida, suggesting that his motive was revenge at society. He also said he heard voices telling him to do it. The important thing is that he has plead guilty to committing the crime, the NRA and Putin are being accused of somehow conspiring to make him do it, gun control is back on the agenda, and the US can now move on and mourn as One (Nation Under God).

This week on Behind the Headlines, we examined the criminal mind that can do such crazy things.
