Germany has set aside €21 million ($25.3 million) as part of its new "action plan" aimed at supporting opponents of the Belarusian government, Foreign Minister Heiko Maas has told an improvised pro-opposition online conference.

Seemingly in an effort to cement an image of Berlin as the leader among European nations sponsoring anti-government movements in the post-Soviet space, Maas on Saturday addressed the so-called Belarus Solidarity Conference. This was a virtual event organized by the World Belarus Congress, a forum of Belarusian expatriate diasporas and opposition-supporting groups.

"The Genie of democracy is out of the bottle. There is no way to put it back," Berlin's chief diplomat said in a pre-recorded address, as he promised millions of euro in support to the Belarusian opposition.

Comment: Talk about gushy political and literal overreach into another country's business! Political shape-shifters are seeking control everywhere.

German Minister warns against jeopardizing Nord Stream over Navalny case

Nord Stream
The Russian pipe-laying ship Fortuna is seen in the Mecklenburg Bay ahead of the resumption of Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline construction near Insel Poel on January 14.
German Economy Minister Peter Altmaier has cautioned against linking Moscow's treatment of jailed Russian opposition politician Aleksei Navalny to the controversial Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

In remarks published on February 7 by the Bild am Sonntag newspaper, Altmaier voiced support for continuing construction of the nearly finished pipeline.

"Business relationships and business projects that have existed for decades are one thing and serious human rights violations and our reactions to them are another," Altmaier said.

Comment: Except there's no evidence of any human rights violations. Navalny is in jail for crimes he has committed.

'It would be discriminatory': UK vaccine minister says government is NOT planning Covid vaccine passport

Covid-19 Vaccine Deployment Minister Nadhim Zahawi denied claims that the UK government is planning to introduce a "vaccine passport" detailing which Brits have been vaccinated and which haven't, calling the idea "discriminatory."

Asked during an interview with Sky News on Sunday whether the government is looking at the possibility of creating a vaccine passport, as has been speculated, Zahawi said, "No we are not."

The minister explained that those who receive their first dose of the vaccine get "a card from the NHS with their name on it," the date they received their first dose, and the date of the second dose, and that this is all the government is currently supporting.

Comment: We'll see how long it takes for this to change. Vaccine passports are growing in popularity in Europe, and it seems this could be a major goal for the 'movers and shakers'.

White House: Intelligence offices will determine if Trump gets briefings

White House

President Joe Biden will leave the decisions about what intelligence briefings, if any, former President Donald Trump will receive to individual intelligence offices, sources at the White House confirmed Saturday after the president said he doesn't think his predecessor should receive them.

"The president was expressing his concern about former president Trump receiving access to sensitive intelligence, but he also has deep trust in his own intelligence team to make a determination about how to provide intelligence information if at any point the former president Trump requests a briefing," White House press secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement Saturday, reports The Washington Post.

Biden, during an interview airing in part Friday on "CBS Evening News" told Norah O'Donnell that he doesn't think Trump should have access to the briefings "because of his erratic behavior unrelated to the insurrection" at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Comment: Ex-CIA Director Michael Hayden is helping to prime the direction of how this will unfold, and he's shown to be a massive hypocrite in the process. From the Washington Examiner:
Former CIA Director Michael Hayden cheered after President Biden said former President Donald Trump should not receive intelligence briefings, a much different response than he gave to a similar proposal just two and a half years ago.
...

But he wasn't so enthused two and a half years ago, when Trump was the one who reportedly considered restricting former President Barack Obama's access.

In August 2018, Hayden told CNN the idea was "an almost unspeakable proposal" that is "so un-American. It's hard to imagine that happening in any but the most autocratic governments in the world."

Supply convoy for US troops in Iraq reportedly attacked - Biden 'under pressure' to stall Middle East withdrawal

ied us forces targeted Iraq
An explosive device targeted a logistical convoy of the US coalition in Al-Musayyib, in the Iraqi province of Babel, Sunday February 7, 2021
The Biden administration has asked the Pentagon to review ex-President Donald Trump's last-minute paring down of troop numbers in Iraq and Afghanistan to 2,500 personnel per nation. Late last month, Syrian media reported that US forces illegally deployed in the war-torn nation had started building another base in the country's east.

A logistical convoy carrying supplies for the US-led coalition in Iraq has been hit in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack by about 80 km south of Baghdad, Lebanon's al-Mayadeen television channel reports, citing sources "close to the Iraqi resistance forces."

The explosive device reportedly blew up on a road in the area of al-Musayyib, a Shia-majority town which witnessed heavy fighting between US forces and local militias in the aftermath of the 2003 US invasion.

Comment: Gotta keep that war machine running.

Putin's approval rating drops slightly to 64%, while Navalny overtakes Communist Party leader in new Russian opinion poll

Despite recent street protests and the Covid-19 pandemic, almost two in three Russians say they approve of Vladimir Putin's record as president, according to a new poll, representing a slight drop since late last year.

New research, conducted by the Levada Center - a polling company registered as a foreign agent over receiving Western funding in the past - found that 64 percent of the 1,600 people surveyed backed Putin's performance, down from 65 percent in the last poll, conducted in November.

Around a third said they didn't approve of his activities, and only two percent didn't express an opinion. The president's support was strongest among those aged 55 and older, but a majority in every age group viewed his time in office as favorable thus far, including 51 per cent of 18- to 24-year-olds.

Comment: A survey from 1,600 people in a country as vast as Russia is a paltry representation. Putin's actual popularity is likely much higher, and Navalny already low popularity is likely much lower. It's also worth noting the Levada Centre is a registered foreign agent due to being financed from US and other Western institutions. From TASS:
"The inspection revealed that the Analytical Center of Yuri Levada ...had received a large part of its funds from the United States, including a grant from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, which is curated by the U.S. Department of Defense," the source said.

Biden punts son's propaganda: Gushes over Hunter's self-serving memoir in CBS interview

President Joe Biden CBS News Norah' O'Donnell

An emotional President Biden fought back tears as he discussed his son Hunter's new memoir — saying "My boy's back."

"The honesty with which he stepped forward and talked about the problem. And the hope that — it gave me hope reading it," Biden said in an interview with CBS News that will air before Sunday's Super Bowl game.

"My boy's back," Biden told anchor Nora O'Donnell in an excerpt released late Saturday as he became emotional and choked back tears.

"I'm sorry to get so personal," he said to O'Donnell.

Hunter has been battling addiction throughout his life and has undergone treatment in a number of rehab facilities.

Comment: Creepy Joe running true to form. He probably means every word of it, in defiance of all reality.

Is Biden 'reframing' Mideast policy? Seems to signal new distance from allies Israel, Saudis

New administration intimates 'it's not business as usual' with the way Trump ran regional ties; in key speech, Biden didn't mention Israel when saying he was revitalizing alliances

US President Joe Biden is quickly if subtly rebalancing US priorities in the Middle East, walking back his predecessor's all-encompassing embrace of Saudi Arabia and Israel while seeking diplomacy with Iran.

Two weeks into his presidency, Biden on Thursday announced an end to US support for the Saudi military campaign in Yemen which he said has "created a humanitarian and strategic catastrophe."

Equally noticed was what went unsaid in his first major speech on foreign policy. Biden did not mention Israel when saying he was revitalizing alliances with other leaders — a reflection of how he has not yet spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Comment: Whoever is pulling Biden's strings seems to be making a few good moves. Lowering support for the slaughter in Yemen, and potentially loosening the unjustified sanctions screws on Iran are positive things, as is extending the START treaty with Russia. But never believe altruistic motives when a government is involved. One has to wonder what the larger goals are.

Obama 'ethics czar' Eisen now bragging he led the 'color revolution' behind the 2020 US election steal

Norm Eisen
© UnknownNorm Eisen, Lawfare Ninja Supreme
We warned on November 2, 2020, the day before the 2020 Election, that the nightmare scenario created by the Democrats starring Sleepy Joe Biden was about to begin.

We reported on the 'Color Revolution' earlier in the 2020 Presidential campaign - In September Tucker Carlson discussed the 'color revolution' and Norm Eisen, ironically Obama's Ethics Czar, was reportedly behind the resistance and the efforts to remove President Trump from office. Like other Democrat lies, the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) didn't make health care more affordable and Norm Eisen was not someone who cared about ethics.

Below is a video from Tucker Carlson's show regarding this topic - at the time we didn't know much about Norm Eisen:

When (or IF) comes the pushback towards Biden and his agenda?

Biden
Joe Biden is now unapologetically leading the most radical left-wing movement in the nation's history.

The corruption of the Renaissance Church prompted the Reformation, which in turn sparked a Counter Reformation of reformist and more zealous Catholics.

The cultural excesses and economic recklessness of the Roaring 20s were followed by the bleak, dour, and impoverished years of the Great Depression.

The 1960s counterculture led to Richard Nixon's landslide victory in 1972, as "carefree hippies" turned into careerist "yuppies."

So social, cultural, economic, and political extremism prompt reactions — and sometimes counterreactions.

The Bush-Clinton-Obama continuum of 24 years (from 1993 through 2015) cemented the bipartisan fusion administrative state. Trump and his "Make America Great Again" agenda were its pushback.

Comment: Now realizing how utterly compromised the election system is in the US, the populist supporters of Trump may not wait to see what happens in the 2022 election before responding.

As for becoming the most radical left-leaning president ever, consider it superficial window-dressing to disguise an utterly UN-progressive agenda.

And already Biden is giving the finger to culturally marxist groups that helped "legitimize' him in some eyes - as he's been refusing to even meet with them.
