Political firebrand Tulsi Gabbard blasted President Joe Biden's affirmative action-aligned promise to nominate a black woman to fill the Supreme Court vacancy left by retiring Justice Stephen Breyer. Gabbard also slammed Vice President Kamala Harris, stating she was chosen based on the same diversity-hire standard.

The former Democratic presidential candidate, who faced off with Biden and Harris on the 2020 campaign trail, took aim at the presidential pair Monday.

Gabbard said that Harris was chosen by Biden for the coveted vice presidential position based on "skin [color]" and "sex" alone, "not qualification."

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke out against anti-vaccine mandate protesters who vandalized property in Ottawa and harassed the staff and clients at a homeless shelter.

"Canadians were shocked and frankly disgusted by the behavior displayed by some people protesting in our nation's capital," Trudeau said on Monday. "I want to be very clear: We are not intimidated by those who hurl insults and abuse at small business workers and steal food from the homeless. We won't give in to those who fly racist flags. We won't cave to those who engage in vandalism or dishonor the memory of our veterans."

A convoy of truckers protesting against measures to curb the spread of COVID-19, including vaccine mandates and wearing masks, began arriving in Ottawa on Friday. Shepherds of Good Hope, a homeless shelter and soup kitchen, tweeted that protesters harassed staff members, assaulted a person living at the shelter, and threatened and used racial slurs against a security guard who went to his aid. Additionally, "the incessant honking and noise from trucks caused significant anxiety and distress to our staff and shelter residents," Shepherds of Good Hope said.

Comment: And now we see an escalation of the predictable smears against those gathering in peaceful protest in Ottawa. From Breitbart:

Levant said that one protester drew a swastika on a Canadian flag — not to endorse the swastika, but as a commentary on Trudeau's "fascist" mandates, one with which Levant said he did not agree, but which was not intended as a racist statement.

Another man showed up wearing a Confederate flag, Levant said, but had his face covered and was told by others to leave.

Trudeau's claims were "complete B.S.," Levant said, and an attempt to discredit legitimate protest.

Report: Israel is launching campaign to undermine UN's Gaza investigation

Axios reports Israel's Foreign Ministry announced a diplomatic effort to derail the UN probe, and expressed concern that an eventual report will refer to Israel as an "apartheid state."

According to a classified cable, Israel's government is launching a campaign to discredit a United Nations commission investigating the country's 2021 attack on Gaza. The UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) voted to establish the Commission of Inquiry (COI) last May.

Axios' Barak Ravid reports that Israel's Foreign Ministry sent a cable, to all the country's diplomatic missions, referring to the investigation as a "top priority" and announcing that it's launching a diplomatic effort to derail the probe. They also expressed concern that the COI's report (which is expected to be released in June) will refer to Israel as an "apartheid state."

Hungary's prime minister, Viktor Orbán, will travel to Moscow on Tuesday in a visit that has drawn criticism from the country's political opposition and is being watched nervously in other European capitals.

Orbán, who has developed a reputation as Vladimir Putin's closest ally inside the European Union, is due to meet the Russian president just as other EU leaders are trying to hash out a coordinated position on Russia's menacing moves around Ukraine's borders.

"In this tense situation, it is simply treasonous to go to Moscow," said a statement released on Sunday and signed by representatives of the six opposition parties that have joined forces to face Orbán in April elections.


Comment: Treasonous to whom? To the pathocrats and technocrats that make up much of the governments in the West? On the contrary, it would actually be treasonous to sabotage constructive relations with Russia.

As Russia masses tens of thousands of troops on its border with Ukraine, along with tanks, artillery and missiles capable of striking the capital, officials in Washington, Kyiv and across Europe are debating the likelihood and timing of an invasion.

In one camp, officials in Washington, London and within Ukraine's national security establishment are convinced that a Russian strike is imminent. But Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, is not persuaded that the intelligence Western nations have shown him backs up their dire assessments.

Somewhere in the middle, U.S. allies including France, Germany and Norway think Russia could strike but remain unsure of the timing and whether Russian President Vladimir Putin will accept some kind of diplomatic compromise that he can sell as a NATO retreat.

Comment: It is jaw-dropping how contorted the Western leaders are and how confident in predicting what Russia will or will not do. There need be no speculation. Russia has been forthright and blunt in conveying its positions.

A criminal IRS investigation into Hunter Biden — President Biden's son — appears to have convened a grand jury as far back as May 2019, a confidential subpoena served to JPMorgan Chase bank reveals. The subpoena also seeks bank records of James Biden, the president's brother, which appears to be the first time another Biden family member has surfaced in connection with the investigation.

The document, obtained by Breitbart News, specifically demands information on related transactions between JPMorgan Chase Bank, which the document calls "correspondent bank," and the Bank of China, which the document calls the "originating or beneficiary bank."

The document appears to show that as President Biden was launching his campaign that spring, federal prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney's office in Delaware had impaneled a grand jury and were demanding the production of bank records relating to Hunter and James Biden, as well as two of their business associates, Devon Archer and Eric Schwerin.

While it has been reported that subpoenas were issued in a Hunter Biden criminal probe from federal investigators, the level of detail this document contains has never been reported.

Incident is supposedly being prepared by British-trained saboteurs to spark conflict, militia leader explosively claims.

Ukrainian commandos trained by Britain are planning a "series of terrorist attacks" in the Donbass to use as cover for a false flag operation, an official from the unrecognised, so-called, Donetsk People's Republic has alleged.

Local militia spokesman Eduard Basurin said on Wednesday that Kiev will stage a provocation to accuse Russia of invading the country. He added that he believed neo-Nazi 'Right Sector' militants were also operating in the area. However, he provided no evidence to back up the allegations.

Basurin, however, insisted that he had "reliable information" suggesting six groups of saboteurs from the 8th Special Purpose Regiment of Ukrainian Armed Forces (VSU) had been trained by specialists from the UK and deployed near the line of contact. Their targets would allegedly include gas and water supply as well as power stations.

The purpose of their supposed provocation is to accuse Russia of 'false flag' attacks to prepare "aggression" against Ukraine, and to create panic among the local residents, he added.

His Department of Education is opening up Title IX investigations on them for maintaining moral standards.

Joe Biden's Department of Education is launching investigations into religious colleges that refuse to bend to his LGBTQ agenda. It was reported recently that the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the U.S. Department of Education is conducting a Title IX investigation of Clarks Summit University, a Christian school near Scranton, Pennsylvania. According to a Department of Education notification letter, the investigation was prompted by a complaint that
"The University maintains a policy in its Student Handbook prohibiting students from engaging in same-sex romantic or sexual relationships, as well as from 'cross-dressing or other actions deliberately discordant with birth gender.'"
Title IX, which supposedly protects students against discrimination based on sex, contains a clear religious exemption. But LGBTQ activists have long sought to eliminate the exemption and now find in Biden's Department of Education congenial allies willing to hassle religious colleges despite it.

UK investigation into Downing Street Covid lockdown parties finds 'failures of leadership'

The interim findings of an investigation into Covid-19 lockdown-breaking parties at Prime Minister Boris Johnson's office and residence have sharply criticized the culture in Downing Street.

The 12-page interim report, published in a redacted form Monday on the government's website, makes clear that lockdown parties "should not have been allowed to take place," while others "should not have been allowed to develop as they did."

In a series of damning conclusions, senior civil servant Sue Gray's partial findings said there were "failures of leadership and judgment by different parts of No 10 and the Cabinet Office at different times" and some of the behavior was "difficult to justify."

It also found that the excessive consumption of alcohol was "not appropriate in a professional workplace at any time" and some staff had wanted to raise concerns about behavior they witnessed but felt unable to do so.

Here's a simple way to test your understanding of the current US-Russia standoff. All you need to do is answer one very-basic question about the nature of the conflict, and that answer will determine whether you understand what is actually going on or not. Here's the question:

What is the source of the confrontation between the US and Russia in the Ukraine:
  1. Russia has amassed over 100,000 combat troops near Ukraine's eastern border and is threatening to invade.
  2. Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to rebuild the Soviet Empire by expanding Russia's territory beyond its borders.
  3. The western media has concocted a fake storyline about a "Russian invasion" to divert attention from Moscow's reasonable demands for legally-binding security guarantees that address the pressing issue of hostile foreign armies (NATO) and nuclear missiles on Russia's doorstep.
  4. None of the above.
If you picked Number 3, then pat yourself on the back, that is the right answer. The current crisis has nothing to do with the fictitious "Russian invasion" that was invented to conceal the real issue. The western media - in concert with the Intelligence agencies, the Pentagon, the Biden administration, and the US foreign policy establishment- have done everything in their power to prevent the American people from reading the contents of these draft treaties for fear that they will see that Russia's demands are both reasonable and appropriate. Russia isn't asking for anything more than any sovereign country should expect. As FDR famously said, "Security for one, is security for all." We support that sentiment and we think the American people do too.
