Biden genocide comment raised concern among some U.S. officials

President Joe Biden's declaration this week that Russia is committing "genocide" in Ukraine raised concerns among some officials in his own government and has so far not been corroborated by information collected by U.S. intelligence agencies, according to senior administration officials.

At the State Department, which is tasked with making formal determinations of genocide and war crimes through an independent legal process, two officials said that Biden's seemingly offhand declaration during a domestic policy speech in Iowa on Tuesday made it harder for the agency to credibly do its job.

U.S. intelligence agencies collect information when allegations are made of actions that could amount to genocide, but policymakers are the ones who actually decide whether to declare it. Intelligence reports on Ukraine currently do not support a genocide designation, officials said.
"Genocide includes a goal of destroying an ethnic group or nation and, so far, that is not what we are seeing."

Comment: Biden's comment should have raised concern from all US officials. The four propaganda videos from MSNBC exhibit intense provocations, false accusations and escalating rhetoric to justify further Western meddling and involvement.

A peace agreement with Russia might consist of two separate documents that would cover the two key issues - security guarantees for Kiev and its future relations with Moscow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday.

Speaking to Ukrainian media, Zelensky explained that Moscow would like to have one comprehensive document that would address all the issues. However, because the security guarantees involve other countries, two documents could be a solution. According to the Ukrainian leader:
"A peace treaty with Russia can consist of two different documents. One of them should concern security guarantees for Ukraine, the other to directly address its relations with the Russian Federation."
He explained that a document covering security guarantees could be signed by those countries "who are ready for these security guarantees," while another document could cover future relations between Ukraine and Russia.

Zelensky claimed that the UK, US, Italy and Turkey have shown a willingness to provide security guarantees for Ukraine, but there has been no final answer from any of them. A previous list of potential guarantors also included Germany, France, Poland and Israel. Zelensky continued:
"Moscow would like to have one agreement that addresses all the issues. However, not all see themselves at the same table with Russia. For them, security guarantees for Ukraine are one issue, and agreements with Russia are another."

Comment: The potential 'two-part' agreements indicate Ukraine is incidental in this power play, otherwise the forces d'jour would accept a deal between Russia and Ukraine and step aside.

Meanwhile, conflict threatens to break off talks:
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has threatened to break off talks with Moscow should Russian forces wipe out the remaining Ukrainian soldiers trapped in Mariupol as Moscow claimed it had taken control of the besieged and battered port city after a weeks-long battle.

The Russian Defense Ministry on April 16 said it had cleared the Mariupol urban area of Ukrainian troops and had trapped a few remaining fighters in the Azovstal steel plant.

A Russian Defense Ministry spokesman was quoted by Russia's RIA Novosti news agency as saying that Ukrainian forces have lost a total of 4,000 troops during the long fight for the city. Casualty figures from both sides have proved impossible to independently confirm.

Ukraine has not commented on the latest Russian claims but in recent days has indicated the situation in Mariupol was desperate, with deaths mounting among the trapped civilian population and many experts predicting the city would soon fall to the Russians.

In an interview published earlier on April 16 with Ukrayinska Pravda, Zelenskiy warned Russia against committing atrocities against Ukrainian soldiers in the city.
"The elimination of our troops, of our men [in Mariupol] will put an end to any negotiations. That will bring an impasse as we don't negotiate on either our territories or our people. The situation is very difficult [in Mariupol]. Our soldiers are blocked, the wounded are blocked. There is a humanitarian crisis.... Nevertheless, the guys are defending themselves."
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said at least one person was killed and several others wounded in early morning attacks.
"For those Kyivites who left and are already thinking of heading back to return to the capital, I ask you to refrain from this and stay in safer places."
In his nightly address to the nation, Zelenskiy said:
"The success of our military on the battlefield has been really significant. Historically significant. But it's still not enough to clear our land from the invading forces. The sanctions against Russia are very serious, economically painful. But it is not enough to starve Russia's military machine. We need to promote stronger, more destructive sanctions. This will determine how long this war will last."
Meanwhile, the United States and its Western allies continued to pile pressure on Moscow over its campaign. The German government said on April 15 that it plans to release more than 1 billion euros in military aid for Ukraine. The move comes amid criticism from Ukraine and some EU partners such as Poland and the Baltic states that Germany has not done enough to send armaments to Kyiv.

The UN refugee agency said as of April 16 that 4,836,445 million Ukrainians had left the country since the Russian invasion -- up by 40,200 from the previous day's total.
Had 'the collective West' not interfered, this 'war' might have ended weeks ago, lives saved, deals signed. But that is not how the utilization of a patsy works.

Moscow sees Ukraine's hardcore nationalist units as a threat to peace in the country and is working to destroy them, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained on Friday.

Moscow stated that a crackdown on far-right forces in Ukraine, many of which adhere to various kinds of neo-Nazi ideology, was one of the goals for the Russian troops operating in Ukraine. Peskov said it remained a priority:
"In places where there are no nationalist battalions to take peaceful populations hostage [or] shoot up social sites, houses, peaceful life takes hold. In places where the nationalist battalions do those things, there is intensive fighting. There, they are all subject to being destroyed."

"The [military operation] continues and the objectives are well known. They have to be achieved and they will be achieved."

In the dusty California desert, U.S. Army trainers are already using lessons learned from Russia's war against Ukraine as they prepare soldiers for future fights against a major adversary such as Russia or China.

The role-players in this month's exercise at the National Training Center speak Russian. The enemy force that controls the fictional town of Ujen is using a steady stream of social media posts to make false accusations against the American brigade preparing to attack. In the coming weeks, the planned training scenario for the next brigade coming in will focus on how to battle an enemy willing to destroy a city with rocket and missile fire in order to conquer it.

If the images seem familiar, they are, playing out on televisions and websites worldwide right now as Russian forces pound Ukrainian cities with airstrikes, killing scores of civilians. The information war on social media has showcased impassioned nightly speeches by Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as well as Russian efforts to accuse Ukraine's forces of faking mass killings in towns such as Bucha — massacres that the West blames on Moscow's troops.

Comment: Doubling down on war propaganda provides 'verification' for upgrading US military prep.

We can't let them get away with this power grab - Dr.Tess Lawrie

World Health Org HQ

I just got off a call with the WHO that's left me shaken, reaching for my affirmations and more determined than ever.

As you may know, the WHO is proposing a global pandemic agreement that would give it undemocratic rights over every participating nation and its citizens. Put simply, in the event of a 'pandemic', the WHO's constitution would replace every country's constitution. Whether your country's elected government would agree or not, the WHO could impose lockdowns, testing regimes, enforce medical interventions, dictate all public health practice, and much more.

Over the course of this pandemic, the WHO has withheld safe and established older medicines, ignored the experiences of frontline doctors, disregarded evidence from low, middle and high-income countries, and taken no heed of the values and preferences of people affected by their recommendations. It has apparently ignored the huge numbers of adverse reactions on its own database and has failed to issue warnings about the gene-based vaccines. It has also advertised that the mRNA vaccines are as safe as normal vaccines - and this is simply not the case.

Many of us are extremely concerned that the WHO now intends to take full control over every member nation via this pandemic treaty. The World Council for Health wrote a response to this a while back and has been watching developments closely.

Well, this week the WHO pulled a fast one on the world.

On Sunday, it launched a 'public participation process' and invited video and written submissions. They gave two days to make video submissions, and written submissions must be received by 5pm CEST today. That's just five days for the world's citizens to have their voices heard.

Ukraine war: Germany boosts military aid budget to €2 billion

zelensky german parliament bundestag

Comment: Looks like the guilt trip, plus pressure from NATO worked.

Berlin says it will drastically increase its budget for global military assistance, with much of it earmarked for Ukraine. Russia, meanwhile, has threatened further attacks on Kyiv.

The German government on Friday said it plans to release more than €1 billion in military aid for Ukraine, amid complaints by Kyiv it is not receiving heavy weapons from Berlin. The funds will feature in a supplementary budget for this year.

In total, taking into account all countries, Berlin has decided to increase its international aid in the defence sector "to two billion euros" with "the largest part being planned in the form of military aid in favour of Ukraine", a government spokeswoman told AFP.

This envelope of €2bn ($2.16bn) "will go mainly to Ukraine", Finance Minister Christian Lindner confirmed on Twitter.

The funds must be used by Ukraine to mainly finance purchases of military equipment.

Comment: Yet Ukraine whines that it is not being given enough supplies
Taking to Twitter on Saturday to express his frustration both over the type of weapons being supplied and the pace of deliveries, [Ukrainian presidential advisor Mikhail] Podolyak offered a reminder that Ukraine keeps asking EU members for armaments and, in his opinion, "Europeans [sic] support the call for their governments."

But the "EU gives Ukraine weapons but not the ones we asked for," he claimed, before adding that the "weapons take too long to arrive."

He concluded his post with what appears to be a warning: "Democracy won't win from playing this game. Ukraine needs weapons. Not in a month. Now."

Last month, President Volodymyr Zelensky's regime banned Ukraine's second largest political party, the Opposition Platform - For Life, and earlier this week its leader, Victor Medvedchuk, was captured by government forces.

A couple of weeks ago, the country's foreign minister, Dmitry Kuleba, while speaking at NATO headquarters in Brussels, said that he came with a simple agenda consisting of only three items: "weapons, weapons and weapons." Kuleba argued that, as Euro-Atlantic security is "indivisible," by fighting Russian forces Ukraine is defending not only itself but also bolstering the security of the bloc's members.

Following the launch of the Russian offensive in Ukraine, the EU announced that it would cover the delivery of $500 million worth weapons to Kiev, marking a U-turn in the bloc's longstanding policy of not providing military assistance.

In addition to EU-level funding, many individual members have significantly increased their military support for Kiev. In a major policy change Germany - the EU's richest country - reversed its stance on not providing Kiev with lethal weapons and significantly increased its military spending to assist Ukraine.

However, despite many requests from Kiev, Berlin has refused to send any "offensive weapons," such as tanks and other armored vehicles.

Despite all of the support Kiev is getting from the West, Zelensky has asked for more. He has stated that Ukraine desperately needed more tanks and aircraft, but that its partners have been hesitant on this matter due to an unwillingness to risk a direct confrontation with Russia. For the same reason they have refused to close the sky over the country.
Why is Zelensky not asking for food and medical aid for his citizens?

Russian forces hit 68 targets across Ukraine overnight, the Defense Ministry has reported

The Russian military has used "high-precision air-launched missiles" to destroy a munitions factory in Brovary, a town outside the Ukrainian capital, Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov told a daily press briefing on Sunday.

He also claimed that 68 targets were hit overnight, including two S-300 air defense missile system radars, as well as several weapons depots and fuel terminals. Russia previously stated that it had struck a tank factory and also a facility that made anti-aircraft and anti-ship missiles in Kiev.

Comment: NATO cannot continue to pour armaments into Ukraine for much longer. The Russians will methodically eliminate them.

The Russian Defense Ministry on April 16 said it had cleared the Mariupol urban area of Ukrainian troops and had trapped a few remaining fighters in the Azovstal steel plant, according to Russian state-run media.

A Russian Defense Ministry spokesman was quoted by Russia's RIA Novosti news agency as saying that Ukrainian forces have lost a total of 4,000 troops during the long fight for the city -- a battle that has caught the world's attention for its brutality.

Comment: RT reports that Russia is offering terms of surrender to those holed up in Mariupol:
The Russian Defense Ministry has called on the remaining Ukrainian forces, besieged at a steel plant in the coastal city of Mariupol, to lay down their arms, offering safety guarantees, if they accept the proposal and halt all hostilities on Sunday morning.

"Considering the catastrophic situation at the Azovstal metallurgical plant, and being guided by purely humane principles, the Russian Armed Forces offer militants of nationalist battalions and foreign mercenaries to stop hostilities and lay down their arms starting 6am Moscow time on April 17, 2022," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a late-night announcement on Saturday.

"All who lay down their weapons are guaranteed the preservation of life," the ministry stated.

Earlier on Saturday, Moscow revealed its estimate of Ukrainian casualty numbers, claiming that in the city of Mariupol alone, Kiev has lost more than 4,000 combatants, including "foreign mercenaries" and "Nazis" associated with the notorious Azov and Aidar regiments.

In its ceasefire proposal, the Russian military said that the remaining troops are in a "hopeless situation, with virtually no food and water," citing the contents of hundreds of radio intercepts on Saturday alone. The holed-up fighters allegedly "persistently request permission from the officials in Kiev to lay down their arms and surrender," while the Ukrainian authorities "categorically forbid it under the threat of wartime executions," Moscow claimed.

Moscow offered to establish a direct communication line with the Ukrainian troops at 5am, and to indicate the beginning of the actual ceasefire at 6am by raising flags around the perimeter of Azovstal - red on the Russian side and white on the Ukrainian side. The Ukrainian units will then have until 1pm to withdraw from their stronghold, without any weapons or ammunition.

The proposal and terms of surrender "will be broadcast continuously throughout the night to Ukrainian formations at Azovstal on all radio channels at 30-minute intervals," the ministry added.

Earlier this week, more than 1,000 service members of Ukraine's 36th Marines Brigade allegedly laid down their arms at the Illich Steel and Iron Works, a giant metal mill they were using as a stronghold. The report, however, was disputed by Ukrainian officials.
Zelensky is probably happy to let the Russian eliminate the neonazi crazies that comprise the Azov Battalion.

Billionaire's book drops as WHO hammers out supranational pandemic treaty.

World Health Organization director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus praised the latest book by billionaire and self-styled pandemic 'expert' Bill Gates on Friday, declaring himself in full agreement with the software tycoon's insistence that "we must act on Covid-19's lessons and innovate so that we can deliver swift, equitable health solutions to prevent the next pandemic."

Comment: We suppose that if anyone wanted to get a glimpse of what the next pandemic response is going to look like (and the lead up to that pandemic) all one would have to do is read Bill's book. It basically sounds like it's a done deal, at this point, with all the right players on board.

Polish-Jewish journalist quits newspaper after it demands Ukraine's neo-Nazi militia be described as 'far-right'

One of Poland's most prominent journalists, Konstanty Gebert, said he is quitting what many regard as the country's newspaper of record after it demanded that he describe Ukraine's controversial Azov Battalion as "far-right" instead of "neo Nazi."

The Azov militia, a small subset of a few thousand soldiers within Ukraine's military, often sport Nazi imagery on their clothing and flags.

Gebert, who is Jewish, announced his resignation Thursday in his weekly column, "The Weather Forecast," which he has penned for many years and published in Gazeta Wyborca, a left-leaning publication.

Comment: As the saying goes, it only takes a few bad apples to spoil the barrel, and this folkwisdom is confirmed by scientific research showing that when the number of character disturbed individuals within an institution reaches a tipping point the result is a near total corruption of the operation and goals of said institution.
