The 20-year-old son of US District Judge of New Jersey, Esther Salas, an Obama appointee, was shot dead Sunday night and her husband was critically injured by a gunman posing as a FedEx driver.

The judge's husband, Mark Anderl, 63, a criminal defense attorney is in critical condition in a hospital.

Judge Salas was recently assigned to a case linked to Jeffrey Epstein.

The Judge was reportedly in her basement at the time of the shooting and unharmed, according to law enforcement officials.

The man's body was found in the Sullivan County town of Rockland, near Liberty, which is in the New York Catskills.

Authorities believe an attorney found dead in New York Monday was the shooter who killed a New Jersey federal judge's son and wounded her husband, law enforcement sources with knowledge told NBC New York.

The man's body was found the town of Rockland, in the Catskills. A senior law enforcement official said the FBI and police were investigating whether the man died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds and whether a gun found at the scene was the one used to kill Judge Esther Salas' son and wound her husband.

No other details on the man were immediately available.

Salas' son and husband were shot at their home in New Brunswick around 5 p.m. Sunday. The 20-year-old son later died, while the husband was critically wounded. [...]

The FBI, U.S. Marshals, New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General are all investigating, and the FBI had tweeted it was looking for "one subject" in the shooting. It's not clear what led authorities to the location in Liberty where the suspect was found dead.
Obviously, just because the media is saying that this was the suspect doesn't mean that he was the perp who riddled the judge's home.

And remember, they knocked off 18 witnesses during the Dutroux trial (in tiny Belgium), so they are likely many more bodies to pile up in the Epstein/Maxwell case(s)...

In November 1964, the American historian Richard Hofstadter published an essay in Harper's Magazine about the paranoid style in American politics, arguing that "American politics has often been an arena for angry minds" ripe for "conspiratorial fantasy." Arguably, many elites in contemporary mainstream American institutions appear to believe that anybody expressing concern about a so-called cancel culture has been in possession of such a paranoid mindset. Even when 150 artists and writers signed an open letter in none other than Harper's Magazine, decrying "a new set of moral attitudes and political commitments that tend to weaken our norms of open debate and toleration of differences in favor of ideological conformity," the response from many has been to mock these concerns and dismiss them as "paranoid," or "privileged."

The backlash to the Harper's Letter comes on the heels of John McWhorter's thesis that anti-racism is a new religion, David French suggesting that a secular fundamentalist revival is occurring on the Left, and Andrew Sullivan asking whether "intersectionality [is] a religion?" In short, there is indeed something of a militant crusade that lies at the heart of what Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsay call "Social Justice in Action," the title of chapter nine in their sensational new book, Cynical Theories, which explains "How Activist Scholarship Made Everything about Race, Gender, and Identity―and Why This Harms Everybody."

The wife of an aristocrat who flew more than 30 times on Jeffrey Epstein's 'Lolita Express' private jet has stepped down from her role at the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

Clare Hazell raised thousands of pounds for the charity by hosting a classic car show each year at her family's sprawling Elveden Estate in Norfolk.

The Mail on Sunday last month revealed that the interior designer - who became the Countess of Iveagh in 2001 when she married Edward Guinness, 4th Earl of Iveagh and a member of the brewing dynasty - had repeatedly travelled with serial paedophile Epstein on his private jet.

Flight logs revealed she took 32 flights between 1998 and 2000, including trips to his homes in New York, Florida, the Caribbean and New Mexico.

Clare Hazell (pictured) raised thousands of pounds for the charity by hosting a classic car show each year at her family's sprawling Elveden Estate in Norfolk.

It was subsequently reported that US investigators want to contact the countess as part of their investigation into Epstein. There is no suggestion that she was involved with, or had knowledge of, any wrongdoing.

More than 100 firefighters were deployed in the western French city of Nantes on Saturday morning to tackle a "violent blaze" at the cathedral.

"For the moment, the fire has been contained," General Laurent Ferlay, the head of the local fire service, told reporters at around 10:00 CEST.

An arson inquiry has been launched, the Nantes prosecutor said.

Footage released on social media earlier by the French Federation of Firefighters showed flames leaping inside the gothic monument as a large cloud of black smoke escaped to rise towards the sky.

Comment: An eyewitness who lives near the cathedral told the LCI news outlet that he was woken up by "a very strange sound of bells" and he could see the fire from his home.

Also this week there was a stabbing at church in Virginia, US, and just a few days earlier another church in the US was vandalized with satanic and anarchist symbols.

Further reports and photos show that the fire indeed started in several places:
Images showing the charred interior of the 15th-century cathedral in Nantes, France, appear to point at three separate outbreaks of flames having damaged the Gothic gem on Saturday. Arson is being investigated.

The diocese of Nantes released images on Facebook in the wake of the blaze. It completely destroyed the grand organ at the Cathedral of St. Pierre and St. Paul, blew out the stained glassed windows at the front of the building, and consumed a valuable 19th-century painting that had been sent from Rome.

Locals quickly spotted that, judging by the photos, there had been two separate fires on the ground floor, located meters away from each other. The third apparently broke out on the upper level.

Nantes Prosecutor Pierre Sennes confirmed there had been three fire hotspots in the building and announced that "an arson investigation has been opened."

A 39-year-old Rwandan man, who worked for the diocese as a volunteer, is a suspect, according to the Europe1 news outlet - and he has been taken into custody.

Breitbart adds:
The 39-year-old migrant detained following the blaze, according to French reports, worked for the diocese, and was angry over difficulties he had been having with his expired visa — although the authorities have cautioned against leaping to conclusions about his involvement in the fire.

Prosecutors said it would be "premature and hasty" to brand the migrant, who was apparently responsible for locking the cathedral up the day before the fire, as an arsonist.

It appears he was taken into custody because there are inconsistencies in his timetable — but Nantes public prosecutor Pierre Sennès has stressed that this is "normal procedure" and that, so far, the authorities are not working under the assumption that he started the blaze.

Jean-Charles Nowak, a clerk at the cathedral, has defended the unnamed migrant, saying he "adores" the building.

"I don't believe for a second that he could have set the cathedral on fire," Nowak said.
It sounds like they're dangling this man as a fall-guy, for now, in order to gaslight the population into privately thinking "I knew it had to be a foreigner," while, of course, it probably wasn't him - though he may have unwittingly allowed the actual perpetrators to sneak in and do their wicked deed.

The Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden emerged as the result of a deep geological process that has been going on for the last 30 million years with Arabia moving away from Africa. But even these waters could soon merge into a new, yet-to-be-named ocean, as the world's hottest continent splits apart.

Something is going on underneath the African continent. It has been known for some time that the three tectonic plates, Nubian, Somali and Arabian, that lie beneath the continent's Afar region, have been very slowly peeling apart from each other. Now researchers are able to use satellite images and measurements to study the process more precisely and predict how a new ocean will soon flood the region, according to NBC News.

I never thought I'd see the day when publicly wearing a muzzle would constitute a proof of virtue in the same country whose government, less than twenty years ago, rationalized the bloody invasion of Afghanistan as a way of saving women from veiling their faces.

But then, I never thought I'd hear American liberals proudly denounce supporters of the US Constitution as a "death cult," nor that I'd actually start to find Donald Trump sounding almost reasonable.

But at least there's one thing we can all be sure about: "mainstream" news media, busily cheerleading for the death of freedom, will continue to gush with absurdities, self-contradictions and victim-shaming memes in their propaganda war to Keep America Gagged. The Bill of Rights (in case you haven't noticed) is history; today, we demonstrate our patriotism by creeping around hiding our faces. Dissenters need not apply.

If you think I'm exaggerating, I suspect you haven't been paying attention. Recently I had the poor judgment to turn on National Public Radio for about an hour, under the impression that I was going to learn something about the day's news.

I could have saved myself the trouble. During the hour in question, I learned nothing at all about the presidential election campaign (now in its final months), nothing about the tens of millions of my fellow citizens whose jobs have been snatched away by government fiat, nothing about climate change, nuclear arms buildups, international refugees or growing worldwide poverty - nothing even about the intensification of air and water pollution authorized by recent federal regulation, although pollution kills an estimated 100,000 Americans every year.

Comment: The real disaster has been the work of psychopaths in positions of power. Otherwise the measures taken by our governments would actually help the public and not amount to what is essentially psychological torture on an unprecedented scale.

"The US has bluntly pursued its 'America first' policy, pushing egoism, unilateralism and bullying to the limit, and that's not what a great power should be about," Wang Yi was quoted by Beijing as telling Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in a telephone conversation.

"The US, which has ... resorted to extreme measures and even created hotspots and confrontations in international relationships, has lost its mind, morals and credibility," he said.

As Western governments opened their checkbooks for the White Helmets - a controversial 'rescue organization' in Syria - their co-founder used the cash to top up his wage and even finance his wedding, according to a Dutch report.

Days before he plunged from a window in Istanbul to his death last year, White Helmets co-founder and British mercenary James Le Mesurier admitted to defrauding Mayday Rescue, an organization that fundraised for the anti-government rescue group in Syria.

According to documents seen by Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant, Le Mesurier told an accountant sent to audit the charity's books that he forged receipts for $50,000, pretending that it was sent to finance an evacuation operation in Syria. Instead, the money was paid to Le Mesurier himself. In addition to paying himself a salary of €24,000 ($27,414) per month, Le Mesurier dipped into company cash to finance a lavish wedding in Istanbul in 2018, and to issue loans to his new wife, former diplomat Emma Winberg, the report claims.

Comment: Just about the only thing that the corporate media has truthfully reported about the White Helmets group is that they wear White Helmets.

Like everyone, I would love to live in a pollution-free world.

I would love to see human civilization strike a balance with nature and, at the risk of sounding like a naïve idealist, I sincerely do believe that this is ultimately our destiny as a species.

My personal experience has led me to the conclusion that we have only failed to achieve this paradigm as a species due to the system (and cultural influence) of oligarchism which has managed to stubbornly sink its claws parasitically into its host for a few too many generations - corrupting and perverting everything that it dominates.

Due to the pervasiveness of oligarchism, mass exploitation, wars and pollution have lain waste to ecosystems and countless human lives alike, and as the neo-liberal order continues to careen towards the inevitable breakdown of a two quadrillion dollar derivatives bubble, which our un-repentant decades of decadence has caused, very serious choices will need to be made.
