For the first few hours after any new "bombshell" Russiagate story comes out, my social media notifications always light up with poorly written posts by liberal establishment loyalists saying things like "HAHAHA @caitoz this proves you wrong now will you FINALLY stop denying Russian collusion???" Then, when people start actually analyzing that story and noting that it comes nowhere remotely close to proving that Donald Trump colluded with the Russian government to steal the 2016 election, those same people always forget to come back afterward and admit to me that they were wrong again.

This happens every single time, including this past Tuesday when the Guardian published a new "bombshell" report saying that former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort had had secret meetings with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. When experts all across the political spectrum began pointing out that the story contained no evidence for its nonsensical claims and was entirely anonymously sourced, nobody ever came back and said "Hey sorry for calling you a Russian propagandist, Caitlin; turns out that story wasn't as fact-based as I'd thought!" When evidence for a single one of the article's claims failed to turn up for a day, then two days, then three days, nobody came back and said "Gosh Caitlin, I owe you an apology for mocking you and calling you Assange's bitch; turns out WikiLeaks and Manafort are suing that publication and its claims remain completely unproven."

And of course they didn't. They weren't meant to. They were meant to absorb the Guardian's false claims as fact, add it to their Gish gallop mountain of false evidence for Trump-Russia-WikiLeaks collusion, and then be shuffled onward by the relentless news churn of the corporate propaganda matrix like always.

But I'm never going to let them forget that this happened, and neither should you.

Comment: Dismantled and proven to be a lie, the story was run as if fact. A tool of the establishment, MSM is beyond remembering what integrity and responsibility to accuracy 'truly' means.

What is it like to live in a country with a brutal, totalitarian government? According to Dr. Andrew Lobaczewski, the only way to truly know is to actually experience it. Literary accounts and news reports can provide some data, but even that will only be theoretical. Actually experiencing it is something else entirely: a punch in the gut that can cause anxiety, depression, and PTSD. But there's one other way to get an idea: a first-hand experience with malevolence at the hands of someone with a severe personality disorder.

Today on the Truth Perspective we discuss chapter 6 of Lobaczewski's book Political Ponerology: "Normal People Under Pathocratic Rule". The reason people who have lived with a pathological individual know what it's like to live under a pathocracy is because the two experiences are analogous: they both involve personality-disordered individuals in positions of authority. And without an understanding of psychopathology, we can't understand totalitarianism.

In this chapter, Lobaczewski discusses the experience of living under pathocratic rule: the deformations of normal human psychology that result, as well as the skills and values that develop after years of terror. The current polarization we are experiencing in our own society is not a good development, but if we don't do something to stop where it is leading us, the time will come when both sides of the political spectrum are equally terrorized. Ironically, it may only be a real pathocracy that will bring both sides together: a solidarity bred by shared suffering that seems unimaginable to us now.

The "Resistance" - the loose affiliation of liberals, progressives and neo-conservatives dedicated to opposing Donald Trump - is NOT a grass-roots movement. They don't speak for the everyman or the poor or the oppressed. They are a distraction, nothing more. A parlor game. The face to Trump's heel.

The Resistance is the voice of the Deep State - Pro-war, pro-globalisation, pro-Imperialism. It just hides its true face behind a mask of "progressive values". They prove this with their own actions - opposing Trump's moves toward peace with North Korea and finding common ground with Russia.

A Western ideologue unravelling is no pretty sight. It's like watching a lobster boiling in a pot. And like that lobster he or she eventually pops.

'Popping' recently over Russia have been key figures of the Western geopolitical and ideological firmament - people for whom the world is made of a Western bloc of nations divinely ordained to command, and the rest of the world condemned to obey.

A prime example of what I mean concerns the Atlantic Council in Washington, one of the more notorious of an ever expanding network of neocon think tanks in our world, within whose Washington offices you will find gathered cranks of inordinate dimension.

For such people Russia is not a country of 146 million people whose contribution to the world in the fields of art, science, culture and so on has been profound throughout its history and remains so today, but instead is a cancer that needs to be removed - preferably by force.

US media obfuscation of the truth about the Yemen war has effectively shielded the American public from learning that their country is in league with Al Qaeda forces there, Rania Khalek reports.

Al Qaeda in the Arab Peninsula (AQAP) is supposed to be the branch most dangerous to Americans because it is actively plotting attacks on the US. Yet, the US-backed coalition of Arab nations, led by Saudi Arabia, has cozied up with the group amid the stalled military intervention against the Houthis. AQAP not only fights coalition members, but even serves as a source of recruits for it.

The right wing Ecuadorean government of President Moreno continues to churn out its production line of fake documents regarding Julian Assange, and channel them straight to MI6 mouthpiece Luke Harding of the Guardian.

Amazingly, more Ecuadorean Government documents have just been discovered for the Guardian, this time spy agency reports detailing visits of Paul Manafort and unspecified "Russians" to the Embassy. By a wonderful coincidence of timing, this is the day after Mueller announced that Manafort's plea deal was over.

The problem with this latest fabrication is that Moreno had already released the visitor logs to the Mueller inquiry. Neither Manafort nor these "Russians" are in the visitor logs.

Comment: Contrast this with the attitudes of countries like the US, UK and France (not to mention many other European nations) who loudly denounce Russian media outlets like RT.com and Sputniknews.com as "propaganda tools". Yesterday the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, banned Russian media outlets from attending a press conference in Paris between himself and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov. It was only when Lavrov said he would not attend the conference unless Russian media was allowed to enter that the French Minister backed down.

The mainstream American media has taken a nearsighted view of the Ukrainian crisis by following a script laid out by the State Department. Most reports have either ignored the truth or spun it in a way that paints only a partial picture.

Here are seven things you should know about Ukraine.

1. Regardless of claims by some commentators like Forbes contributor Greg Sattell, the divisions in Ukraine are real, and violence unleashed by the Kiev regime is polarizing the nation further. While the differences between the Ukrainian west and the more Russian-facing rest of the country are widely acknowledged, what tends to be overlooked is that the culture, language, and political thinking of western Ukraine have been imposed upon the rest of Ukraine. Ostensibly this is for the sake of "unifying the country," but in fact the objective has been to put down and humiliate Ukraine's Russian-speaking population. The radical nationalists of western Ukraine, for whom the rejection of Russia and its culture is an article of faith, intend to force the rest of the country to fit their narrow vision. Western and eastern Ukraine do not understand each other's preoccupations, just as Cubans in Miami and Cubans in Havana would not understand each other. Ukrainian conflict is not the conflict between the "pro-Russian separatists" and "pro-Ukrainians," but rather between two Ukrainian groups who do not share each other's vision of an independent Ukraine.

Russia has seized three Ukrainian military vessels violating its territory near Russia's newly completed Crimean Bridge. The incident is a clear provocation carried out by Kiev and possibly engineered by Kiev's Western sponsors - particularly those in Washington and London.

Ukrainian military vessels are in fact permitted to pass from the Black Sea into the Sea of Azov provided they notify Russian authorities beforehand. The Sea of Azov - according to a joint agreement signed by Kiev and Moscow in 2003 - is considered internal waters of both Ukraine and Russia.

With the completion of the Crimean Bridge connecting Russian Crimea to the rest of Russian territory across the Strait of Kerch, security measures have understandably increased.
