Maria Veronica Ligtasy, 16 years old, resident of Barangay 149 Raxa Bago Street, Tondo, Manila and Marilyn Rutur, 15 years old, resident of Block 96, Lot 6 Kawal Purok 4, Dagatdagatan, Caloocan City were pronounced dead on arrival when rushed to the Mapandan Community Hospital in Mapandan, Pangasinan.
Both were reportedly staying with relatives in Barangay Aseda as they were stranded during the lockdown. Being minors, the two were not allowed to travel during the duration of the lockdown.

Heavy snowfall at the the region of Zagori, near Ioannina, turned the landscape wintery. According to residents of the area, the snow reached 10cm while temperatures dropped to 2°C.
Roads were covered in snow and driving conditions were particularly difficult.

Transport department spokesperson Khusela Rantjie announced on Tuesday night that the N9 between Graaff-Reinet and Middelburg, and the R61 between Cradock and the N9 would be closed off with immediate effect.
This comes as the SA Weather Service in Port Elizabeth warned of disruptive snowfalls on high grounds of the Eastern Cape on Tuesday night.
The woman was struck by a bolt of lightning while working on a farm with her husband, who subsequently alerted the authorities.
The development came as a wet front swept across much of the country, bringing heavy rainfall and hailstorms in parts.

A powerful 6.1-magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Vanuatu some 80 kilometres northwest of the capital Port-Vila, the United State Geological Survey said on Wednesday. The seismic activity was registered at a depth of 10 kilometres at 7:09 a.m. UTC, the USGS added. There are no reports of casualties or damage caused by the tremor. No tsunami alert was issued by the authorities.

A mountain biker was attacked by a grizzly bear Monday near the southern Montana community of Big Sky, according to authorities.
Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks spokesperson Morgan Jacobsen told the Billings Gazette that the man was able to walk away and find help. He was airlifted to a hospital with injuries to his face and back and is stable in critical condition.
