Call it genocide - 4 million Muslims killed by the US and NATO

Hearkening back to the Japanese interment camps of WWII, some Americans are now calling for Muslims to be placed in camps or even openly calling for genocide against the 1.6 billion practitioners of the faith.

It may never be possible to know the true death toll of the modern Western wars on the Middle East, but that figure could be 4 million or higher. Since the vast majority of those killed were of Arab descent, and mostly Muslim, when would it be fair to accuse the United States and its allies of genocide?

A March report by Physicians for Social Responsibility calculates the body count of the Iraq War at around 1.3 million, and possibly as many as 2 million. However, the numbers of those killed in Middle Eastern wars could be much higher. The actual death toll could reach as high as 4 million if one includes not just those killed in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but also the victims of the sanctions against Iraq, which left about 1.7 million more dead, half of them children, according to figures from the United Nations.

Comment: The United States has fallen down a dangerous path that many don't even acknowledge that they are on. Some may learn the lessons from the past, but history appears to teach us that as a whole we're doomed to repeat it.

Brazilian pro-Rousseff demonstrators counter anti-government coup attempts

Rallies in support of Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff were held across the country amid calls for the leader's impeachment. They follow huge protests from those who accuse her of corruption and responsibility for the nation's recession.

Some 172,000 people took part in the Thursday rallies in more than two dozen cities, according to organizers, cited by AFP. A partial police estimate, which did not include figures for Rio de Janeiro, put the numbers at 72,000.

Pro-Rousseff demonstrators shouted "No to the coup!" during the Thursday rally in Rio de Janeiro, which was called by Rousseff's Workers' Party.

"We want to continue with democracy. No to the coup, no to fascism!" 68-year-old poet Jorge Salomao told AFP.

It's been estimated that almost a million people took part in rallies on Sunday to demand Rousseff's ouster, in what was the third mass anti-Rousseff protest in six months.

Those rallying for Rousseff's impeachment say she is guilty of corruption, believing she must have known about a corruption scandal at the state oil firm Petrobras, as alleged bribery took place when she was head of the company.

Rousseff was, however, exonerated in an investigation by the attorney general and denies involvement, though several senior members of her government have been implicated.

Another explosion in China: Fires at Shandong chemical plant

shandong province
An explosion has been reported at a chemical warehouse in the eastern Chinese province of Shandong.

State media reported that firefighters had arrives at the scene and pictures posted to Weibo showed flames rising above an industrial site.

According to the People's Daily, the warehouse in Zibo County was located around 1km away from the nearest residential area.

The reported explosion came a week and a half after the huge blast which rocked the major Chinese port city of Tianjin.

That incident, which killed 114 people, has led to a crackdown on corruption and illegal practices in the country's manufacturing and chemical industries.

Comment: Last month there was an explosion at a petrochemical factory, also in east China's Shandong Province, triggering a massive fire. As well as the recent apocalyptic scenes following massive explosions at the Chinese port of Tianjin.

Police suspend undercover prostitution stings after cops have sex with female suspects

The Minneapolis PD has suspended all sting operations against street prostitution after courts dismissed three cases within one month due to undercover officers having sex with female suspects.

Police said they are conducting a full review of their undercover investigation policies, but said none of the three officers, whose actions during stings made convictions impossible, would be investigated, reported MPR News.

"The Minneapolis Police Department is taking immediate action by reviewing these cases," Police Chief Janeé Harteau said in a statement. "We are no longer using undercover operations to investigate suspected prostitution in massage businesses."

In one of the dismissed cases, a police officer was investigating alleged prostitution activities at a massage parlor. In an audio recording of his encounter with a suspect, he is heard asking the masseuse whether the woman wants him to roll over on his back. The woman then touches the man's genitals. He moans before saying a code word for his backup to begin an arrest, reported the Star Tribune.

Nebraska school district enforces state law requiring teachers to sign a pro-America Pledge

The American Civil Liberties Union has told Hastings school officials that a state law requiring teachers to sign a pro-America pledge is unconstitutional, but the district superintendent says he's just following legal advice.

The pledge says those who sign it believe in the U.S. government and will teach students "love and devotion" of America.

Amy Miller, legal director for ACLU of Nebraska, said that although the 1951 law remains on the books, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled several times that public employees cannot be required to sign such pledges because they violate the U.S. Constitution.

The law was passed during the Red Scare of the McCarthy era, and Miller said it's not the only outdated state law on the books.

"You need to know that the statute is a dead letter law which has been clearly overruled by the highest court in the land. Attempting to enforce the state statue is unconstitutional and will expose the school district to liability to a civil rights lawsuit," the ACLU wrote in the letter, dated Friday.

Comment: The Nebraska Board of Education is basically requiring that teachers inculcate their students to pro-American propaganda and avoid any historical facts that place America in a bad light. One wonders, as America tumbles even further into a pathocratic police state, if these pledges will spread to other school districts and professions. Will the oath to uphold the constitution morph into an oath of loyalty to the fuhrer a la Nazi Germany?

Holistic MD Nick Gonzalez, who died suddenly, said he'd heard big pharma hopes he gets hit by a bus

Dr Nick Gonzalez
My better half (a well known Osteopath) had the honor of interviewing Dr Nick Gonzalez several times before his death in several popular videos. I was fortunate to have known him this incredibly wise knowledgable healer.

It brought me no joy to stumble upon this unintended series that I broke (as gently as possible) about all the holistic doctors who died within a matter of weeks. We knew some of them which made it all the more difficult to write about it. I'd be writing one article as another doctor we knew died. It's tragic and painful and I truly hope no more die or are killed.

Vitaly Magazine published an article where Dr. Nick Gonzalez said that big pharma knows about his work and hopes he gets "hit by a bus". I tend to believe it, because someone very reputable who I know did the last interview ever with Dr. Gonzalez which will be out soon and shed more light on this. It appears there are others out there too where he said the same thing beyond the one in Vitality Magazine. I promise to share or link to the last interview whenever it does come out as, from what I hear, it's a very important to hear his final words.

Russia delivers humanitarian aid to 140 countries

Russian Emergencies Ministry's press service said that Russia has provided victims of emergency situations caused by natural and man-made disasters with humanitarian aid in about 140 countries.

Russia has provided victims of emergency situations caused by natural and man-made disasters with humanitarian aid in about 140 countries, the Russian Emergencies Ministry's press service said in a statement on Tuesday.

"The geography [of Russian aid]... encompasses different countries of the world, some 140 states in total," the statement reads.

In 2014, humanitarian and technical aid was provided to 25 nations, including Iraq and Syria, amounting to a total of over 12,000 tons, according to information contained in the statement.

Comment: And while Russia helps 140 countries, the US has military bases in more than 135 countries. Now we understand why Russia is considered to be an "immediate threat" to US.

Two California schools become first in the nation to serve 100% organic meals

counscious kitchen
When schools in California's Sausalito Marin City District return to session this August, they will be the first in the nation to serve their students 100 percent organic meals, sustainably sourced and free of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

More than 500 students at Bayside MLK Jr. Academy in Marin City and Willow Creek Academy in Sausalito will eat fresh, local food year-round, thanks to a partnership with the Conscious Kitchen, a project of the environmental education nonprofit Turning Green.

"Students everywhere are vulnerable to pesticide residues and unsafe environmental toxins," Turning Green founder Judi Shils said on Tuesday. "Not only does this program far exceed USDA nutritional standards, but it ties the health of our children to the health of our planet. It's the first program to say that fundamentally, you cannot have one without the other."

Comment: It surely beats the standard fare that is served in schools.

At least three people have been injured after a man, reportedly armed with a Kalashninov rifle, opened fire on a Thalys high-speed train between Amsterdam and Paris on Friday. The attacker was apprehended by soldiers traveling on the same train, according to local media.

The shooting occurred near the town of Arras in northern France around 6:00pm local time (4:00pm GMT). The railway station in Arras was locked down by security forces.

"The man was armed with automatic weapons and knives. He was stopped by passengers," Christophe Piednoel, a spokesman for French railway SNCF said on iTele television.

Comment: One cannot help but wonder if the shooter was another soldier and this situation was set up.

US President Barack Obama's approval rating has fallen significantly, as a majority of US residents participating in a poll criticized his foreign policy, according to a CNN/ORC survey published Friday.

The poll revealed that 51 percent of US nationals answering a questionnaire disapproved of the US president, fearing Obama was leading the country in the wrong direction.

According to the survey, 62 percent of those polled criticized Obama's policy to counter the Islamic State extremist group in Syria and Iraq, while 60 percent disapproved of his policy regarding the successful Iran nuclear agreement.

The findings of the survey revealed a higher approval rating for Obama's approach to climate change, as 47 percent supported his policies, compared with 41 percent in May.

The CNN/ORC Poll was carried out among some 1,000 random US nationals by telephone in mid-August.
