German-American remembers youth in Nazi Germany, says Trump not Hitler

A popular talking point on the left is that Donald Trump has things in common with Hitler.

But is this the case? Independent Journal Review decided to speak to a woman born in Nazi Germany about the comparison.

We talked with Inga Andrews, who was born in Dusseldorf, Germany, during Hitler's reign. While most kids were playing with friends, Andrews was hiding in air raid shelters and helping to clean up the rubble from destroyed buildings to rebuild her city.

Andrews said:
"What is going on in this country is giving me chills. Trump is not like Hitler. Just because a leader wants order doesn't mean they're like a dictator.

What reminds me more of Hitler than anything else isn't Trump, it's the destruction of freedom of speech on the college campuses — the agendas fueled by the professors.

That's how Hitler started, he pulled in the youth to miseducate them, to brainwash them, it's happening today."

More than 100 people in the Chicago area have been arrested in connection with a national sex trafficking sting, authorities say.

In an effort to target and reduce sex trafficking, the National Johns Suppression Initiative conducted coordinated sting operations that led to 752 arrests of 723 accused sex buyers and 29 accused sex traffickers.

The sting included nearly 30 law enforcement agencies across 15 states, according to a news release from the Cook County Sheriff's Office. Both the arrest number and the participation level were the highest to date for Super Bowl operations since the initiative began 13 years ago.

In Illinois, the Cook County Sheriff's Office arrested 101 sex buyers and recovered three adult victims. The Lansing Police Department also arrested six buyers, and the Matteson Police Department apprehended 11.

Another five sex buyers were arrested by the Arlington Heights Police Department and two by the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Since 2011, Cook County officers and agencies from across the country have arrested more than 6,500 sex buyers and traffickers.

Buyers are more often white, middle-age or older men with at least a high school education, according to anonymous arrest data. Many are married and very few are unemployed, according to the data.

Indiana man sentenced to life in prison for killing police officer

Blount
An Indiana man was sentenced to life in prison without parole for fatally shooting a police officer while he sat inside his patrol car, according to local media.

Carl Blount, 28, shot and killed Gary Police Department officer Jeffrey Westerfield, 47, in July 2014. Blount pleaded guilty in January and his sentence was handed down by a judge Wednesday, The Times of Northwest Indiana reported.

The state agreed to abandon its pursuit of the death penalty if Blount accepted the life sentence. A deal was able to be reached because of Blount's alleged involvement in two other shooting deaths in June 2014, the newspaper said. Prosecutors threatened to charge Blount in those killings if he did not accept the agreement.

Russia has lost 13 medals earned during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and eight - during the 2012 Olympics in London by decision of the International Olympics Committee (IOC) taken after reanalysis of samples.

IOC has already carried out two waves of reanalysis of samples from the London and Beijing Olympics, retesting the total of 1,243 samples, out of which 98 proved positive, and two more waves are expected to take place.

Earlier on Friday, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issued a four-year ban for Russian middle distance runner Mariya Savinova-Farnosova over doping use and stripped her of all medals, gained from July 2010 to August 2013, including a golden medal received at the London Olympics.

Comment: So no other country had any positive drug test results from these samples? That would be hard to believe:

Vaginal pain helps exonerate man accused of fatal drive-by

Elias Cadoza

A Miami man beat a murder rap — thanks to a woman's vaginal pain.

Prosecutors dropped the case Tuesday after Elias Cadoza presented an unusual alibi: Around the time of a fatal drive-by last October in Little Havana, he was actually at home calling 911 for his sister, who fell ill with extreme gynecological discomfort.

Even months later, paramedics remembered the pick-up because it was an unusual medical call for them. And they also recalled Cadoza waiting with his sister outside their Little Havana apartment.

"The paramedic clearly remembered Elias, who wanted to get into the ambulance with his sister," said defense lawyer Jean-Michel D'Escoubet. "He also remembered Elias' speech impediment."

Sex dolls with programmable personalities set to become reality

© MATTMCMULLENOUT OF THIS WORLD: 'Robots will offer a different sexual experience to human sex.
California-based sexdoll maker Realdoll has delved into robotics and artificial intelligence in preparing to release a silicone significant-other with which the user can choose a personality, as a means to form a 'real bond.'

The new system will be rolled out through 2017 and into 2018, and consists of several components, the first of which will be the Harmony AI app, scheduled for release in April 2017. By the end of the year, Realdoll's "first robotic head systems," are set to follow.

To develop the product, Realdoll CEO Matt Mullen formed Realbotix, a team of engineers, telling Digital Trends that the new systems will take the RealDoll experience to unprecedented levels.

"We are developing the Harmony AI system to add a new layer to the relationships people can have with a Realdoll," he said, adding, "Many of our clients rely on their imaginations to a great degree to impose imagined personalities on their dolls. With the Harmony AI, they will be able to actually create these personalities instead of having to imagine them. They will be able to talk to their dolls, and the AI will learn about them over time through these interactions, thus creating an alternative form of relationship. The scope of conversations possible with the AI is quite diverse, and not limited to sexual subject matter."

With just a head costing some $10,000, these new companions will be far from a cheap date.

Hundreds of thousands of Iranians have taken to the streets of Tehran to celebrate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and denounce US President Donald Trump's recent statements regarding the Muslim state.

On the anniversary of Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution, which saw the ousting of the former US-backed House of Pahlavi, a flood of protesters headed towards Tehran's Azadi (Freedom) Square with Iranian flags, celebrating the rule of the current clerical establishment.

Some also carried effigies of Trump, as well as banners reading "Death to America," the footage showed, to the sound of traditional Iranian revolutionary songs played by police military ensemble.

Footage showed people trampling on pictures of Trump in a central Tehran street, where marchers carried banners reading: "Thanks Mr. Trump for showing the real face of America." The crowd was also seen burning US and Israeli flags. Israel is Washington's main ally in the region, while Iran has been supporting Palestinians in their dispute with Israel. Chanting out provocative slogans and burning flags are common practices at mass demonstrations in Iran.

From the dungeon to the multiplex - how bondage has tied up the nation

Fifty Shades of Grey

The surge of popular interest in BDSM (bondage, domination, sadism and masochism) that has resulted from the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy of novels has been something of a revelation.

Beginning as texts whose relative marginality initially seemed ensured by both theme (BDSM) and format (online fan fiction), today they are so popular that millions are anticipating the adaptation of the second book to hit cinemas next week - just itching to get that mask out.

The original book set the record for the fastest-selling paperback ever, topping bestseller lists all over the world and being translated into more than 50 languages, eventually resulting in the first film adaptation in February 2015. It was the guilty pleasure holiday reading for many people in 2012.
