Pentagon: The largest environmental polluter is legally poisoning Americans across the US

There are 61 active military sites in the US that are used to burn hazardous explosives, making the Pentagon the largest source of pollution in the country

The idea that a government is actively poisoning its citizens may sound like the perfect propaganda plot to send the mainstream media into a feeding frenzy, and to make American neoconservatives beg for the invasion of a sovereign nation-unless it is happening in the United States.

The Department of Defense and its contractors are currently using at least 61 active military sites across the country to "burn and detonate unused munitions and raw explosives in the open air with no environmental emissions controls," according to a series of bombshell reports from ProPublica that give insight into the largest source of pollution in the country: The Pentagon.

Comment: The United States government is also 'legally' disposing hazardous waste and polluting the ocean as well:

Fifteen year old Hafez al-Assad at international Math Competition: 'I am a citizen like any other and I will never leave Syria'

Hafez al-Assad
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's older son Hafez, attending the 58th International Mathematical Olympiad in Rio, on July 17, 2017, asserts that he will never leave his country and that the conflict can not be defined as a 'civil war.'

In an interview with Brazilian daily O Globo, Hafez al-Assad stressed that he would "never" leave Syria, pointing out that the Arab country will need time to resolve the profound crisis.

"... I am a Syrian citizen like any another, I see and live the horror that is happening in our country. But I have never lost hope for our Syria.
"This is not a civil war, it's just people who plunder our homeland and our land. It is a war against the people ... " said the son of the Syrian President.

Declaring that in Syria there is "a war against the people," Hafez added that "... the people, the nation and the government are one against the invaders trying to take control of the country ..."

Authorities in Brazil are deploying 10,000 troops to Rio de Janeiro in response to a rising surge in organized crime and murders since the city hosted last year's Olympics.

Over 90 police officers have been killed in 2017 so far, and in the first six months of the year, an average of three people were killed by stray bullets each day.

Around 8,500 soldiers and police were sent to the capital in trucks on Friday. President Michel Temer signed a decree to allow the troops to be in Rio until the end of next year.

Brazilian Defense Minister Raul Jungmann said the troops are there to carry out intelligence operations and to tackle criminal organizations involved in drug trafficking, theft, and other crimes.

This fall, a United States district judge will hear a landmark case: For the first time, the federal government is pursuing a case of female genital mutilation on American soil.

Defense lawyers have said they will argue a freedom of religion defense - setting the stage for an explosive test of Americans' religious rights that experts say could ultimately be settled by the Supreme Court.

The case began with charges related to two 7-year-old girls who were transported to Livonia, Mich., by their parents to have FGM performed on them, according to the government. Six people have been charged, and the clinic where the procedures were performed has been closed. The reach of the investigation has since expanded to cities including Los Angeles and Minneapolis. Assistant US Attorney Sarah Woodward has said in court it's possible the doctor performed nearly 100 procedures between 2005 and 2017.

France has officially shut down its only state-run radicalization prevention center in Pontourny, near the Loire Valley, intended to host up to 25 people who become radicalized and choose to enroll on a voluntary basis.

The French Interior Ministry noted in a statement on Friday that the live-in reception center in Pontourny was "experimental," and "showed its limits."

It was therefore decided to shut the facility down, the statement provided by AFP said, adding that "the government will study the possibility of opening [some other] small structures to develop alternative solutions to incarceration."

The French government decided to open the center with the objective of "preparing and developing an educational program used for the reintegration of radicalized young people in the process of marginalization," Le Parisien reported.

The majority of American adults disagreed with President Donald Trump's initiative and support transgender people from serving in the military, according to a new poll. Only 27 percent of those polled agreed with the president and the remainder didn't know, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Friday.

The majority of Democrats were in support of military service by transgender Americans.
Republicans, however, were more fractured in their opinion, according to the Reuters poll. The largest group, 49 percent, agreed with Trump's proposed transgender ban, 32 percent said they should be allowed to service and 19 percent did not know.

It's a problem most of us run into often: pull open the fridge door and realize you're out of milk.

A mother, needing to bake some brownies for her child's school bake sale, wrote on Facebook that she recently faced just such a situation. To solve it, she claimed, she added her own breast milk to the brownie mix.

"I didn't have time to run to the store and didn't think it was a big deal (some of those kids could use the nutrition let's be honest)," she wrote.

The mother's identity was redacted in a screengrab of her post and it is unclear which state she resides in.

For purposes of this request, the term "metadata" includes, but is not limited to, dates and times of creation, modification, transmission, and/or retrieval of any electronic copy of any such memorandum currently or formerly in the possession of the FBI and/or drafted, modified, transmitted, and/or received via any FBI-owned computer or other electronic device.
