A law has reportedly been drafted in India to ban the controversial practice of instant divorce, known as triple talaq, with violators facing three years in jail. Dozens of Muslim men still use the practice yearly, including by means of WhatsApp or SMS.

The draft law - entitled the Muslim Women Protection of Rights on Marriage Bill - was sent to the authorities of Indian states on Friday, a senior government official said as reported by The Indian Express.

Arrest warrant for Kate Steinle's murderer issued by the DOJ

Steinle memorial
On Friday, the Department of Justice unsealed and amended a 2015 arrest warrant for Jose Inez Garcia Zarate, the defendant acquitted Thursday in Kate Steinle's murder trial.

At the time of Steinle's murder, Garcia Zarate, an illegal immigrant, had 7 prior felony convictions (including drug charges), and had been deported from the United States to Mexico five times. According to acting ICE Director Thomas Homan, San Francisco deliberately ignored orders from ICE officials to hand over Garcia Zarate for deportation, instead letting him roam free throughout the streets of the "sanctuary city." San Francisco's refusal to comply with ICE is the reason Zarate was in the country long enough to murder Kate Steinle.

Comment: The acquittal of Steinle's murderer will hopefully be a wakeup call to Americans about the toxicity of 'sanctuary cities'. Somehow, it has been deemed un-P.C. to discuss the issue of immigrant crime and the cognitive dissonance of the SJW crowd leads to protections for illegals, simply because they're illegal, and damn the consequences for everyone else.

The mega-retailer is offering at least 13 different sweatshirts "made in Mexico of 100% COTTON for all-day comfort" promoting the group whose activities were "formally classified" by the Obama Administration "as domestic terrorist violence" as early as April 2016, according to Politico, despite the group's efforts to downplay this determination.

Concerns surrounding North Korea's threat to world peace have substantially risen alongside a failure by global super powers to halt ongoing nuclear weapon development and other provocations by a country that also has one of the world's largest conventional militaries.

Experts disagree on North Korea's current nuclear stockpile, with some saying Pyongyang has between fifteen and twenty nuclear weapons, and others who base their information on US intelligence data claiming that the number is somewhere between thirty and sixty bombs. But there is no doubt the country has developed much more powerful bomb-making technology only very recently.

Thousands of people, outraged at a new bill that would spare the Israeli PM from public outcry linked to two corruption probes, swarmed into downtown Tel Aviv on Saturday in a protest that became the largest since the launch of the investigation.

A large crowd descended on central Rothschild Boulevard and marched towards Habima Square, decrying Netanyahu as the "Crime Minister," according to placards carried by activists. The disgruntled protesters, armed with loudspeakers, chanted "Bibi is a disgrace" and called for him to "go home" or be jailed, and for the reinstatement of legal order.

The site of the biggest-ever nuclear disaster would seem like a place to avoid at all costs. But Ukrainian police regularly report catching people sneaking inside the Chernobyl exclusion zone. Some do if for thrills; others want to make some quick cash.

The latest group of Chernobyl trespassers was busted on Saturday. A trio aged between 18 and 23 was caught by a patrol after crossing into the expulsion zone, the police reported, describing them as "extreme tourists." In mid-November a 21-year-old man from Ukraine and a 20-year-old woman from Russia were likewise caught sneaking in. Three separate groups of thrill-seekers had been busted in mid-October.

The remote-controlled underwater vehicle Panther Plus, provided by Russia, took the first snapshot of the object found in the search area of the San Juan submarine, according to a representative of the Argentine Navy.

According to the representative, the signal recorded on November 30 by Victor Angelescu vessel's sonar of the Ministry of Agriculture was verified with the help of an image taken by the Russian apparatus Panther Plus. Thus, that the object found at a depth of 477 meters is not the San Juan submarine.

Societal rot: Londoners in fear as acid attacks soar

Delivery riders protest in London as the number of acid attacks continues to increase
© AFP Photo/NIKLAS HALLE'NDelivery riders protest in London as the number of acid attacks continues to increase
Delivery rider Jabed Hussain was waiting at a traffic light one night in east London when two attackers sprayed acid in his face and stole his moped.

It was one of hundreds of attacks in the British capital every year that have prompted government intervention and left the city's police force asking the public for help to tackle the crime wave.

Hussain recalled feeling "burning on my face" during the robbery in Hackney.

Comment: There's clearly something deeply wrong with society when seemingly motiveless attacks of such brutality are rapidly increasing in frequency.

Michigan State accused of covering up worst sex abuse scandal in US sports

Larry Nasser
Michigan State University is accused of covering up what is believed to be the biggest sexual abuse scandal in U.S. sports, which the public university "unequivocally denies."

Michigan State's former director of sports and former Olympic gymnastics team doctor, Larry Nasser - accused of sexual assault by more than 150 women, including several Team USA gymnasts - now has pleaded guilty to 10 sexual assault counts as well as possession of child pornography. He also admitted in court to committing sexually abusive procedures thousands of times throughout his 20-year career.

"This is one of the largest and most prestigious public universities in the country, and they've engaged in the systemic protection of a child molester," attorney John Manly, who is representing a majority of the victims, told Fox News. "Clearly Michigan State has a culture of secrecy. They have a report about 150 little girls being molested, and they're not going to release it? That is outrageous. President [Lou Anna K.] Simon, release the report or resign."

Lawyers representing victims of Nassar say MSU officials could have prevented the Nassar scandal if they had followed Title IX and mandatory reporting laws - during his MSU tenure between 1997 and 2015, at least seven women or girls say they made verbal complaints to school officials.
