FBI "could not identify" Florida school shooter but it actually never looked into Youtube threat

Nikolas Cruz threat YouTube Florida shooting

On Wednesday February 14, 2018 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz
slaughtered 17 students and adults at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

The day after the shooting on Thursday morning the local FBI chief responded to the reports of a threat shooter Nikolas Cruz made on YouTube in 2017.

Nikolas Cruz, the suspect in Wednesday's horrific massacre at a Florida high school, was allegedly reported to the FBI in September after he left a comment on a bail bondsman's YouTube channel saying that he was going to be a "professional school shooter."

"Nikolas Cruz" posted this comment on YouTube.

STUNNING=> FBI NEVER Contacted YouTube After Nikolas Cruz Left "Professional School Shooter" Threat
February 24, 2018
by Joshua Caplan

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) revealed Friday that the FBI failed to contact Google after learning Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School gunman Nikolas Cruz vowed to become a 'professional school shooter' on YouTube.

Washington Times reports:
The FBI was told of a threat accused Florida shooter Nikolas Cruz made on YouTube last September but never contacted the company to track down its source, missing an early indicator, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley said Friday.

Someone reported the online threat to the FBI and the bureau opened a counterterrorism investigation but closed it on Oct. 11 saying it never managed to identify the person behind the post.

It wasn't until after last week's school massacre that the FBI did track down the author and found it was the 19-year-old man now accused of slaying 17 people at his former high school, Mr. Grassley's office said, after getting briefings from both the FBI and Google.

Google would have been able to help confirm the commentator's identity if the FBI had followed up, Mr. Grassley's office said.
Cruz was allegedly reported to the FBI in September after he left a comment on a bail bondsman's YouTube channel saying that he was going to be a "professional school shooter."

As The Gateway Pundit's Jim Hoft reported, local FBI chief Robert F. Lasky responded to reports of the online threat by killer Nikolas Cruz.
Lasky: "We do not know if it was the same person. We, through our database checks, we could not positively identify him. We're going back. We're scrubbing the information. We're looking at it again. I am not willing to say at this time that it was the same person."
The YouTube comment was posted by "Nikolas Cruz" - spelled with a 'K" - and yet the FBI now says they didn't know if it was the same person?

As The Gateway Pundit reported last week, the FBI has said 'protocols were not followed,' to escalate a tip the bureau received about Cruz.

"We are still investigating the facts. I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public," wrote FBI Director Wray.

On Jan. 5, a person close to Florida school shooting suspect contacted FBI tipline and provided info on the suspect's "gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting," added Wray.
Well, it is very hard to identify a suspect if law enforcement officials are not even bothered to make the effort. See also:

Austrian woman in hospital complains about roommate's loud Muslim prayers and is told to see a psychologist

A woman who complained about loud prayers in her hospital room was
told to see a psychologist. The Croatian woman, who lives in Austria for 40 years, was put in a twin room with a Muslim patient in St. Georgen im Attergau.

The 68-year-old Nadia C. from Vienna was recovering from a stroke and a neck injury in the healthcare facility, when tensions arose about the behaviour of her Muslim roommate.

Already at 6 a.m. Nadia's female roommate started loud prayers and made a lot of noise by moving chairs. She was also loudly reading from the Koran and was praying in the shower room as well.

When Nadia complained about it, she wasn't taken seriously. At first she wasn't allowed to take another room and later she was told she could consult a psychologist to resolve the conflict.

Nadia is shocked about the incident and said: "I am appalled that in Austria you have to adapt to a foreign culture and not the other way around. And nobody is defending against it. Instead, the Austrians are sent to a psychologist."

Comment: It sounds like the hospital staff were incredibly unhelpful and the Muslim patient incredibly inconsiderate - and both incredibly rude to the lady. However, we don't know if she was not taken seriously because of bias in favor of a foreign culture, as she says, or simply due to lack of professionalism and common sense.

Far-left activists file police report against Dutch party centre, forcing ban on kid's cowboy party because "it's racist"

After complaints of leftist activists, Dutch party centre TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht, will no longer organise 'Wild West' parties for children, their spokesman said.

The far-left action group "De Grauwe Eeuw" filed a police report against the organisation behind the festival. According to them, the feast for children between 2 and 12 years old uses 'racist stereotypes'.

"Cowboys are responsible for the genocide on America's native inhabitants", De Grauwe Eeuw stated. Migrant activist Anousha Nzume later joined them in their acquisitions and threatened to boycott another festival at the same location.

Nzume reported on her Facebook that the management of TivoliVredenburg "Have admitted their 'terrible mistake', learned from it and won't organise festivities like this in the future".

A spokesman of TivoliVredenburg said he doesn't recognise the impression that the feast is racist. "We are a centre for everybody, but it looks like our society is changing and these sorts of events triggers heavy emotions."

"In the future we won't organise events with themes that could lead to polarisation", he added.

Comment: So now they literally want to regulate children's play - how totalitarian is that? Cowboys vs indians was just an excuse to dress-up and interact with each other when we were children. What has that got to do with 'racial stereotypes'? Do they want children to carry the burden of guilt for complex historical issues they don't even understand and are not required to? What about the fact that many of us liked to play on the side of the indians rather than the cowboys - is that racist too? For God's sake, let the children have their fun!

Evergreen College enrollment in decline despite 100% acceptance rate

Evergreen College 1
A case report will often describe a condition that is an extreme or unusual version of what one might typically observe. In medicine, it can be used to illustrate and explore disease mechanisms and the underlying pathology of more common manifestations of an illness. What has transpired and continues to transpire at The Evergreen State College where I teach provides some important lessons. My college is now famous for its intense student protests, the bizarre ousting of biology professor Bret Weinstein, and the absence of public support for Weinstein from faculty and a college president who thinks he might be a white supremacist. But these are only clinical symptoms of a much deeper disorder that had been growing at Evergreen for some time, and is only at its early stages in many universities across the country. Evergreen's prognosis is guarded at best, but it might explain what ails higher education in general.

Earlier this month, in his annual State of the College address, President George Bridges announced that next year's projected enrollment for Evergreen will be 3100 students. This represents a 19 percent drop from this year, and continues a steady downward trend that began in 2009. Next year, Evergreen (a public college) will likely be serving 26 percent fewer students than is currently funded by the state legislature, despite having a nearly 100 percent acceptance rate. In his address, Bridges speculated that an improved economy may have resulted in fewer people looking to earn college degrees. But that doesn't explain the fact that all other four-year institutions in Washington State have seen increases in enrollment during the same time period that Evergreen saw its student population shrink by 33 percent. In an effort to rally dispirited faculty and staff, Bridges also suggested that the college's enrollment decline and looming financial crisis could be due to a vicious social media attack by politically motivated outsiders.

Comment: Under the guise of 'equity' and 'diversity' higher education is being destroyed. These institutions used to be places where one learns to expand and challenge their thoughts and beliefs. Instead they have become places where intolerance and identity politics are reinforced. This only serves to further the divisions in the masses and prevent any real resolutions to the problems that society is facing today. Unbelievable! Four Broward County Deputies waited outside school as children were killed

On Friday, CNN issued a shock report finding that earlier reports regarding Broward County Sheriff's Deputy Scot Peterson - the armed school safety officer who apparently cowered outside the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School while a mass shooter slaughtered 17 people inside - were accurate, but that Peterson wasn't the only officer waiting outside. According to CNN:
When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff's Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff's deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. The deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles, the sources said, and not one of them had gone into the school.

Comment: As Alex Christoforou writes, "The entire US law enforcement system failed. The schools system failed, the local police failed, the Florida state bureaucracy failed, officers on duty failed, the FBI failed." All signs of a very sick culture.

US should enforce existing gun laws before launching new ones

Here we go again with yet another "national conversation" about guns that is neither a conversation nor national. And not productive.

Understandably, as with the Newtown, Conn., elementary school massacre in 2012, the agonized outcries and visceral fears after the outrageous Broward high school deaths on Feb. 14 erupt from parents who entrust their most prized treasures to a public school. The betrayal is horrendous. The suffering unimaginable. And we flail around trying to find answers for the unimaginable, the inexplicable, the unacceptable.

There must be something we can do to prevent such awful events. There is. We could have.

CNN's Drew Griffin accuses heroic school shooting survivor of lying

CNN's Drew Griffin explicitly accused school shooting survivor Colton Haab of lying over the student's claim that CNN wrote a question for him to recite at the far-left network's widely criticized anti-gun town hall.

On Thursday evening, President Trump tweeted out criticism of CNN's ongoing fake news crisis with a quote from Fox News's Tucker Carlson, who interviewed Haab Thursday night.

"'School shooting survivor says he quit @CNN Town Hall after refusing scripted question.' @TuckerCarlson," Trump tweeted, adding, "Just like so much of CNN, Fake News. That's why their ratings are so bad! MSNBC may be worse."

Ben Swann returns: This may be the most interesting thing happening in alternative media right now

Ben Swann
"The Russian envoy to North Korea warned President Trump not to place any further sanctions against North Korea or Kim Jong-un surrounding 'supplies of oil'," says a clean-cut reporter in a polished, professional newscast presentation. "To do so, he says, would be perceived as a declaration of war."

Hmm, interesting. What am I watching? CNN?

"But if we're going to be honest," the reporter continues, "aren't all sanctions an act of war? And why are we putting sanctions on North Korea in the first place?"

Ohhhhhh.

This ain't CNN.

Comment: Good to see Ben Swann back! And it seems like his segments are as truthful and provocative as ever. As Johnstone says above, it's worth paying attention to this guy. Welcome back Ben!

More SJW silliness: Black History Month meal prepared by blacks sends black student into hysterics

Two Aramark employees have been fired by the food service after preparing a meal at NYU during Black History Month that was deemed racially "insensitive." Reports suggest that the employees are African-American, though Aramark has not confirmed details about the ethnicity of the fired employees.

According to CBS News, the two employees were fired as a result of a complaint by a sophomore, who says she confronted the head cook about the "racially insensitive" meal but was "lied to" and ultimately "ignored." The meal, the student claimed in a Facebook post, consisted of barbecue ribs, collard greens, watermelon-flavored water, Kool-Aid, and mac and cheese.

"Sophomore Nia Harris, who is black, said the head cook dismissed her objections and told her black employees planned the menu," reports CBS News. "She posted about the menu and her experience on Facebook, saying she 'was lied to, placated, and ignored.'"

Comment: What, pray tell, would be a more appropriate Black History Month meal?

Russian journalist walks off "ideological" Al Jazeera panel: "Putin has a very high percentage of support. And it's not because people are stupid"

Vladimir Pozner, one of Russia's most-respected journalists, walked out of an Al Jazeera panel on the upcoming Russian election after it became clear that it would only be "an ideological debate" void of real analysis.

The Friday installment of Mehdi Hasan's UpFront program on Al Jazeera English was devoted to Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 US election and the upcoming election in Russia, which incumbent President Vladimir Putin is predicted to win, according to polls.

The second part featured a 15-minute panel of experts, including Pozner, fellow journalist Evgenia Albats, and political activist Vladimir Kara-Murza. Albats and Kara-Murza, both outspoken opposition figures in Russia, took turns dismissing the upcoming vote as "not a real election," after which came Pozner's turn to speak, which he used to graciously bow out.
