Like laser tag or going camping? The FBI uses these 48 questions to determine who's a terrorist

FBI - Knjiga pravila: Mutna taktika organizacije otkrivena u izvještaju Intersept-a
Determining whether someone will carry out a terrorist attack is a struggle for governments across the globe. However, the FBI uses a survey of 48 questions to help them decide - and one of the indicators is apparently if a person likes to go camping.

The 'Indicators of Mobilization to Violence' survey, obtained by the Intercept in a classified FBI document, has reportedly been used by the FBI since the fall of 2015.

In a series of 48 questions, the survey assigns points based on certain factors. There are six categories: background, ideology, research and planning, social, training and preparation, and travel.

Comment: One of the questions should read: "Has the FBI encouraged you to become a terrorist and then supplied you with the money and weapons to do so?"

Just as the Gestapo carried out entrapment operations, the FBI has become a master in the art of entrapment.

In the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks the FBI has not only targeted vulnerable individuals but has also lured or blackmailed them into fake terror plots while actually equipping them with the organization, money, weapons and motivation to carry out the plots—entrapment—and then jailing or deporting them for their so-called terrorist plotting. This is what the FBI characterizes as "forward leaning—preventative—prosecutions." In addition to creating certain crimes in order to then "solve" them, the FBI also gives certain informants permission to break the law, "including everything from buying and selling illegal drugs to bribing government officials and plotting robberies," in exchange for their cooperation on other fronts. USA Today estimates that agents have authorized criminals to engage in as many as 15 crimes a day. Some of these informants are getting paid astronomical sums: one particularly unsavory fellow, later arrested for attempting to run over a police officer, was actually paid $85,000 for his help laying the trap for an entrapment scheme.

Western media accuses RT of 'spreading fake news' citing an Emmanuel Macron story RT never published.

The accusations against RT were leveled by Richard Ferrand, secretary-general of Macron's En Marche! party, in an interview with the France 2 TV channel.

RT responded to the allegations that it had targeted French presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron with "fake news" in a statement:

Best of the Web: Ukraine on Fire: The Oliver Stone documentary the US Empire doesn't want you to see

ukraine on fire
Ukraine on Fire, a new documentary about the Ukraine crisis, might change how people in the West perceive the conflict, but it's unlikely to get much distribution since it contests the prevailing narrative, writes James DiEugenio.

It is not very often that a documentary film can set a new paradigm about a recent event, let alone, one that is still in progress. But the new film Ukraine on Fire has the potential to do so - assuming that many people get to see it.

Usually, documentaries — even good ones — repackage familiar information in a different aesthetic form. If that form is skillfully done, then the information can move us in a different way than just reading about it.

A good example of this would be Peter Davis's powerful documentary about U.S. involvement in Vietnam, Hearts and Minds. By 1974, most Americans understood just how bad the Vietnam War was, but through the combination of sounds and images, which could only have been done through film, that documentary created a sensation, which removed the last obstacles to America leaving Indochina.

Declassified CIA memo shows how US has been plotting Syrian regime change for decades

Syrian rebels
It was part of the plan.
A newly declassified CIA memo from the 1980s discusses how "US interests [in Syria] would be best served by a Sunni regime controlled by business-oriented moderates"

It's public knowledge that Washington has been plotting against Syria since the days of Eisenhower.

But thanks to a newly declassified CIA memo, we can now read Washington's heavily-redacted strategy for creating "favorable conditions" in Syria.

Even back in the 1980s, it was clear that provoking a Sunni insurgency fueled by ethnic and religious hatred was the easiest way to topple the government.

Time to lock her up: Killary losing veneer of being 'too big to jail'

Clinton

While US mainstream media is rife with rumors about Hillary Clinton's possible political comeback, Wall Street analyst Charles Ortel and Haitian-born journalist Dady Chery told Sputnik that the two-time presidential candidate may very soon find herself in a heap of legal trouble.

It appears that Hillary Clinton has no intention to leave the stage for the time being, and rumors continue to circulate about Hillary's comeback as the Democrats' "heavy artillery" or the Big Apple's next mayor.

"I'm certain Trump will screw up enough that by the fall of '18, Hillary's numbers will be way up again," former Pennsylvania governor and DNC chair Ed Rendell told Politico.com.

Comment: Beyond the fraudulent use of the Clinton Foundation there is the Clinton Death List which, when including her key role in disastrous NATO interventions, makes her and Bill's fraudulent 'charity' look like a children's birthday party.

For a review of Clinton's foreign policy, see: A comprehensive look at Hillary Clinton's disastrous and destructive foreign policy resumé
You remember those years, don't you? The "surge" in Afghanistan; the winding down of the Iraq occupation; the huge increase in drone strikes in Pakistan and Afghanistan, killing hundreds of civilians and terrorizing whole regions; the total failure of the Obama administration to end U.S. client state Israel's illegal settlements on the West Bank and indeed a general deterioration in high-level U.S.-Israeli relations; various U.S. interventions during the "Arab Spring;" the U.S./NATO assault on Libya that destroyed that modern state, etc.? Hillary was a key player in all these events. It's all in her record, for all to see.

Fmr Cdr British forces in Afghanistan proposes: 'NATO should invite Israel, India and Japan to join in civilizational struggle to protect West'

Comment: The following shameless propaganda piece appeared in the British Telegraph yesterday. We're running it because it's instructive of how Western elites, particularly in the US and UK, see the world. Just when it looked like NATO's days as a regional occupation force were numbered under Trump, his enemies in the Establishment are urgently advocating that NATO's membership and reach be expanded into a global American military organization 'to protect civilization'...

putin shoygu
"We know your game!"
President Trump has said repeatedly that Nato is obsolete. And he is right. For five decades Nato was necessary to, as its first Secretary General said at the time, "keep the Soviets out, the Americans in, and the Germans down".

Comment: Still is.

The Atlantic Alliance was indeed instrumental in deterring the USSR and keeping the European continent in peace. There were many discussions as to how to achieve its goals, including major disagreements, but with America providing leadership, taking a big portion of the economic burden, and being willing to station hundreds of thousands of GIs in Europe, the Allies were able to overcome all problems and stay highly successful during the Cold War.

The collapse of the Soviet Union left Nato with both the sweet feeling of having won the Cold War without a real fight, as well as a sour feeling about what should come next.

Comment: Indeed. Without an enemy, how could they continue to justify what they were doing?

In the early 90s there were voices calling for the dismantling of Nato as well as voices arguing in favor of retaining it as a safety net, just in case things went once again in the wrong strategic direction. In any case, the civil war in the former Yugoslavia offered Nato defenders a new option: to move from a territorial defense of the members in case of a Soviet invasion to a multinational body able to act on its periphery to enforce peace among rivals and contenders. More than a mission, peace enforcement was adopted as a salvation philosophy to keep Nato alive and well.

Comment: In other words, with the USSR no longer keeping them in check, they saw an opportunity for imperial expansion.

Comment: 'Fighting radical Islam' is, of course, the pretext for this radical overhaul of NATO they're proposing. Yes, there are tens if not hundreds of thousands of mercenaries of Muslim extraction out there who are on the West's payroll, but they're no threat to NATO - they're a threat to us, the people living inside NATOstan, and of course those subject to their bombs outside of NATOstan.

Steve Bannon, the man who 'hates the Establishment' espouses this same view of 'the West versus the rest'. It's voices like the above that are currently furiously whispering into Trump's ear about how 'we' need to 'save' the 'West' from 'Islam', 'Iran', 'Russia', 'China', take your pick. It's all just self-deceptive narrative for things remaining exactly the same: US-led Western domination of the planet and its resources, people included.

The real 'civilizational struggle' that has emerged in recent decades is between 'East/South' and West'. And even then, it's really about the two geo-strategic, socio-economic 'macro-ideas' they represent: one envisions a world of dog-eat-dog, winner-takes-all, unipolar dominance, the status quo; the other envisions a world of win-win mutual cooperation, investment in rather than containment of the developing world's resources, and multipolar co-management of the planet.

The 'struggle' for the above authors is about how to keep 'the rest' from reaching their levels of political, economic and military power. Because when they do, it's curtains for the current world order.

Meet the 8 neocons that are gearing up to destroy President Trump and 'make America bomb again'

Lindsey Olin Graham, John McCain, and Bill Kristol
If you thought that the neocons were killed off by President Trump's election victory, think again.

US Senator Rand Paul recently urged President Trump not to choose neoconservative Elliott Abrams to serve in the No. 2 spot at the US State Department.

In an op-ed published in the libertarian website Rare, Paul argues...
"Elliott Abrams is a neoconservative too long in the tooth to change his spots, and the president should have no reason to trust that he would carry out a Trump agenda rather than a neocon agenda."

"Congress has good reason not to trust him — he was convicted of lying to Congress in his previous job."

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has stressed the importance of dialogue between Russia and the US in resolving global challenges such as Syria, Iran, and Ukraine during his talks with US President Donald Trump.

In an interview with the NHK news channel after his return to Japan on Monday, the PM said Trump is a leader who is open to hearing new ideas.

"Surprisingly, President Trump is a good listener. He is open to turning his ears to others, and he is friendly and open," Abe told NHK, as cited by the Associated Press. "I was able to discuss frankly where Japan is headed to."

But bilateral relations were not the only thing Trump discussed with Abe, who arrived in the US on Thursday.

The GOP elite, the Democrats and mainstream media couldn't stop Donald Trump from becoming president, so now they have a coup, says lawyer and filmmaker Mike Cernovich. Michael Flynn's resignation is a huge victory for them, he adds.

The White House has confirmed the President Trump's National Security Advisor has resigned.

US media reports had earlier been claiming Michael Flynn was removed from his post over alleged ties with Moscow. Michael Flynn had drawn criticism for his alleged close relationship with the Kremlin and talking with Russian officials.

It is reported Vice President Mike Pence claimed Flynn was lying when he downplayed a conversation he had had with a Russian ambassador about sanctions. The Kremlin insists there's been no talk of lifting the restrictions with Flynn or any other US representatives.

Maduro wants to kick out 'fake news' CNN for 'sticking nose in'

Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro has asked CNN to stay "outside of Venezuela," accusing the network of attempts "to manipulate." It follows reports by the network on a hard-up Caracas school and on allegations of Venezuelan passport fraud.

"CNN, do not get into the affairs of Venezuelans. I want CNN well away from here. Outside of Venezuela. Do not put your nose in Venezuela," Maduro said, as cited by El Nacional. The words were delivered during a youth march.

A week ago a student spoke to Maduro during a national TV live broadcast, complaining of her school's poor infrastructure and saying that some students fainted from hunger.
