Following a recent terrorist attack on Iranian border guards, Tehran has warned neighboring Pakistan that it will carry out anti-terrorist operations in Pakistan if Islamabad doesn't stop its territory from being used by terrorists.

A terrorist attack on Iranian guards at the country's southwestern border with Pakistan has strained relations between the neighbors.

On April 26, ten guards were murdered and three injured in the border town of Mirjaveh, in Iran's southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

The end of the Unipolar world: China and Russia continue to build the new Silk Road to a multi-polar world

one belt one road initiative map
The One Belt-One Road initiative may shift the global balance of power once and for all.

World leaders, including Russia's President Putin have been attending meetings in Beijing as part of the 'One Belt - One Road' initiatives launched by China in 2013.

The ambitious project aims to set up transport and trade corridors that will help connect East-Asia, Eurasia and Europe, using both rail and maritime links.

China's goals represent the most ambitious project to re-define the logistical and financial nature of world-trade since the creation of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in 1995.

Comment: With America seemingly imploding in on itself, the unipolar world ruled by American hegemony is ending.

Welcome to the new multi-polar world.

NSA Director uses 'Russian hacker threat' to gain access to voting and communications systems

Mike Rogers
U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) director Admiral Mike Rogers.
In testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) director Admiral Mike Rogers joined the chorus of other U.S. law enforcement and intelligence officials who are using Russia to leverage their own agencies into having a wider role in U.S. elections. In a statement to the committee on May 9, Rogers positioned NSA to oversee a wider role in conducting surveillance over elections, not only in the United States, but in other countries, including France and Britain.

After accusing Russia of conducting "election hacking" of the 2016 U.S. presidential election, while offering no proof to back up his allegations, Rogers proceeded to tell the committee and its reflexively anti-Russian chairman, John McCain, that NSA also warned France, Britain, and Germany of Russian election penetration and offered up the assistance of the American spy agency to the targeted countries. Of course, there was no mention that NSA, thanks to the revelations by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, has thoroughly penetrated the communications systems of France, Britain, and Germany and their political leadership.

In spite of EU obstacles, Greece and Russia continue to forge trade relations

The Russian President and Greek Prime Minister spoke in a meeting on the sidelines of the One Belt--One Road forum.

Greek membership of the European Union continues to hurt The Hellenic Republic on many fronts. Greece and Russia have been historic allies, sharing a fraternal Orthodox faith and a mutual respect for each other's cultures. Greece partly owes its independence from Ottoman imperialism to Russian support.

Because Greece is in the EU, Greece has been affected by the two-way sanctions between Moscow and Brussels. In spite of this, Greece and Russia continue to trade as much as possible.

On the sidelines of the One Belt-One Road forum in Beijing, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tspiras. Both countries affirmed their desire to increase bilateral trade, in spite of difficulties with Greece being bound to stifling EU rules.

North Korea is willing to engage in talks with the U.S. under the right conditions, a senior North Korean diplomat revealed Saturday.

"We'll have dialogue if the conditions are there," Choe Son Hui, head of U.S. affairs for the North Korean foreign ministry, told South Korea's Yonhap News Agency in Beijing. Choe had just concluded Track 1.5 discussions with former U.S. officials in Norway and was in the process of returning to Pyongyang at the time of the interview.

Choe did not specify what conditions would be needed for a dialogue with the Trump administration.

President Donald Trump told Bloomberg News earlier in May he would be willing to meet with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

France's new president is a creation of the globalist financial elite

On Sunday French voters went to the polls and chose Emmanuel Macron rather than Marine Le Pen to be France's next president. Macron, a former investment banker and economics minister in the hugely unpopular government of President Francois Hollande, was endorsed by Barack Obama, Angela Merkel and the rest of the global elite who favor the unfettered reign of global capital. As economics minister, he succeeded in passing anti-labor legislation that caused rioting in French streets. He supports the privatization of social services like health care and education, NATO hostilities on Russia's border, and President Donald Trump's direct missile strikes on the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad.

Marine Le Pen called for France's departure from both NATO and the European Union, restoration of the French franc as its currency, and "intelligent protectionism" to defend the living standards of French farmers and workers. She favors detente with Russia, she condemned Trump's missile strikes on Syria, and she has pushed for restricting immigration and deporting citizens of other nations who are on France's terrorist watch list. She was endorsed by prominent British Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage and praised by Donald Trump.

Both Macron and Le Pen called for prison capacity expansion, but Macron was reported to have called for fewer new cells than Le Pen.

American author and Counterpunch writer Diana Johnstone says that elites whipped up mass hysteria that Le Pen is a fascist to put the neoliberal globalist Macron in power. I spoke to Diana in Paris where she has lived most of her adult life.

What China's One Belt, One Road initiative is really about

Although the Beijing-led One Belt, One Road initiative appears to be a geopolitical project in the first place, it has nothing to do with the post-WWII Marshall Plan. Speaking to RIA Novosti, Russian academic Viktor Larin stressed that China is seeking to create a "peaceful international environment" through economic collaboration.

China's New Silk Road initiative is more about geopolitics than the economy, Viktor Larin, Director of the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Peoples of the Far East at the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) says, commenting on the upcoming the One Belt, One Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing.

"I think that the One Belt, One Road initiative is a geopolitical project in the first place and only then an economic one," Larin told RIA Novosti.
