Confessions of a 'Kremlin-linked' Twitter bot in the age of neo-McCarthyism

Twitter's defines any user who has "ever logged in, at any time, from Russia" as being "Russia-linked." This is taking the new McCarthyism to ridiculous levels.

In Russia, they call Wednesday 'little Friday,' meaning it's the weekday when partaking in a few beers is the social norm. So there I was, Heineken in hand, watching England's Tottenham spank Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League when I had a profound realization, and it wasn't the amber nectar at fault either.

You see, I am apparently a Russia-linked Twitter bot. And I am one of the millions, across a vast spectrum. For instance, our ranks include figures as diverse as Cristiano Ronaldo and the rock band Aerosmith. Not to mention, committed opponents of Vladimir Putin, such as Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Alexei Navalny. And all of us are verified, to boot.

When RussiaGate goes truly viral - bioweapons development targeting Russia?

putin
© Sputnik/ Alexey Druzhinin
At the moment you figured anti-Russia mess couldn't get any weirder, Russian President Putin reveals the west's bio-warfare planning. News that Russian genetic material is being harvested all over the country, purposefully and professionally, is the latest chilling reminder of the globalist war on Russia. No, you are not reading the fiction novel Make Room! Make Room! by Harry Harrison. But yes, this is a revelation of the coming dystopian future we're headed for.

Most of us involved in the ongoing media war against the globalist lie can believe just about anything these days. What with RussiaGate unhinging reality in America, and crazy journalists screaming "Evil Putin" with every breath, the announcement radioactive Godzilla has invaded East Germany would scarcely raise an eyebrow. But the most pragmatic leader of humanity in two centuries calling out the U.S. Air Force for preparing all-out biological warfare on Russia? When I read the RT story, I'll admit I had to do a double take. Then the insanity of it all hit me like a brick. Senators and the technocrats in America are teaming up to throw RT America out of the country over words and opinions, while at the same time the U.S. Pentagon gives the approval to target DNA of Russians! "Here we go", with the latest drug induced psychotic episode from Washington.

Prime Ministers of Russian-led CIS call international monopolies "threat to economies" that hurt ordinary people

Prime Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) have endorsed an address critical of international monopolies. Such entities often hurt the interests of nation states and citizens, the bloc said, calling upon other nations to resist.

In his speech to the heads of CIS governments, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that international monopolies were imposing their conditions upon entire international markets. This was hurting the interests of independent companies and whole industries in CIS countries through cartel agreements and price regulation, the PM said. In particular, the cartel agreements lead to inflated consumer prices, he noted.

"We see the activities of international cartels as a threat to our economies, or to put it precisely - a threat to the industries and enterprises that are working on the territories of the CIS member-states," Medvedev was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.

The Russian PM listed such industries as the production of food, pharmaceuticals and certain car parts as examples of sectors where global monopolies were manipulating the whole international market. "Ultimately, it is ordinary people who have to pay extra because of the cartel agreements between producers from various countries," he noted.

Trump: Russia probe a disgrace, 'Zero collusion', many ads 'bad' for him

US President Donald Trump has called the ongoing Congress investigation into alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 presidential election "a disgrace." Trump added that it was a bad thing for the US itself, and lashed out at US 'fake news'.

Democrats and Republicans in the Senate and the House had to admit that there is "no collusion," but continue to look for it nevertheless, Trump said during his interview with Howie Carr at the White House on Thursday.

"In fact, even in all fairness with all of these investigations going on in the Senate and the House - they walk out, even the Democrats - 'There's no collusion but we'll continue to look, there's smoke, there's no collusion but there's - and the Republicans are coming out just saying, 'There's just no collusion,'" he said.

DNC fires its top fundraiser - donations to party have dried up since election loss

democratic national headquarters
© John Shinkle/PoliticoThe DNC raised $51 million from January through September. But the Republican National Committee brought in $104 million over the same time period.
The committee's slow fundraising has been a serious problem for the party since the 2016 election.

The Democratic National Committee dismissed its top fundraiser Thursday after just five months on the job, two Democrats familiar with the move told POLITICO.

Emily Mellencamp Smith, the party's finance director, was let go in a shake-up of the party's senior leadership designed to energize the party's fundraising.

"We are grateful for Emily Mellencamp Smith's work to help build a fundraising team that will raise the funds to win in 2017, 2018 and beyond. Emily is going back to consulting and helping elect Democrats in upcoming races, including staying on in a consulting role for the DNC at this time," said DNC press secretary Michael Tyler.

Mellencamp Smith did not respond immediately to a request for comment.

Indictments and conflict of interest - Why Robert Mueller should resign as Special Counsel

robert mueller
As readers of The Duran will know I have until recently given Special Counsel Robert Mueller the benefit of the doubt. The events of the last few weeks make it impossible to go on doing so.

The reason for this is only partly connected to Mueller's own actions. Rather it arises mainly from what is now known of the conduct during last year's Presidential election of the FBI, the agency which Mueller headed for twelve years, and of which he was director just four years ago.

Extraordinary as the fact still seems to me, the FBI never carried out its own independent investigation of the claimed hacks of the DNC's and John Podesta's computers. Instead the FBI accepted in their entirety the opinions of a private company - CrowdStrike - which was privately commissioned to carry out the investigation into the alleged hacks by the DNC itself.

As I have said on many occasions, I have never come across a situation where a police agency instead of carrying out its own investigation into an alleged crime relies on the opinions of a private investigator paid for by the alleged victim. That seems to me both extraordinary and ethically dubious in the extreme. Yet that in relation to the alleged hacks of the DNC's and John Podesta's computers is what the FBI has done.

Former British govt advisor Casey: Far-right extremists 'milking' UK's stance on political correctness on Islamists

Political correctness is feeding far-right and Islamic extremism, according to a former government adviser. Dame Louise Casey said the failure to address the inequality and segregation of the Muslim community is empowering "horrible far-right tactics."

"In our desire to embrace diversity we are creating division," said Casey, the government's former community cohesion adviser, in a speech to Britain's top police officers. "The far right is growing and they are milking it every time we are overly politically correct and unable to deal with Islamic extremism."

Casey said "difficult conversations" must be had on Islamic extremism in order to stop groups like Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) from inciting further attacks. "If you're not alive to the importance of talking about these issues then there's not much hope... of stopping these horrible things happening to us," she added.

Cairo condemns airstrikes in Libyan city but government source claims strikes were carried out by Egyptian Air Force

Egypt's Foreign Ministry condemned on Tuesday airstrikes that targeted the Libyan city of Derna on Monday night and early Tuesday morning and left at least 20 civilians dead and 23 injured. Libyan and Egyptian sources, however, have confirmed that the airstrikes on the city were carried out by the Egyptian Air Force to preempt future militant operations in Egypt.

An Egyptian government source familiar with the Libyan file told Mada Masr that the airstrikes on the city besieged by the Libyan National Army (LNA) were carried out by Egypt's Air Force in Derna last night, after Egypt acquired information regarding militant organizations in Libya. This information suggested that militants would breach the Egyptian-Libyan border and cross into Egypt.

Before the Foreign Ministry released a statement condemning the strikes and mourning the civilian casualties, several Western governments contacted the Egyptian government to ask whether the Egyptian Air Force had carried out the bombing, according to the source.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Shura Council of Mujahideen in Derna accused Egypt's Air Force of carrying out the strikes. "The Shura Council of Mujahideen in Derna offers its condolences to the families of the martyrs who have ascended to God after the Egyptian airstrike."

Rep. DeSantis: 'We know now without a shadow of a doubt' Killary and Dems colluded with Russia

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) spoke with Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Alex Marlow on Thursday regarding a proposed Mueller amendment to limit the special counsel investigation to between March 2015 and the present, and also tax reform in the House.
"We know now without a shadow of a doubt that the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton, paid Fusion GPS and Steele to acquire this dossier, which required colluding with Russian operatives and Russian nationals. So, they produced this dossier and I believe, yesterday I called for the FBI, the Justice Department to declassify all the FISA applications involving Trump associates because what I think happened is, I think they used the information from this dossier to be able to get surveillance on Trump and his associates."
"And then the fruits of that," he continued, "formed the basis of what had been leaked to the press over the first three or four months of Trump's White House."

DeSantis also discussed the Uranium One scandal and the pending tax reform bill in detail. The full audio is available below.
