Turkey's foreign minister says his country could ask for a formal UN probe if cooperation with Saudi Arabia on the Jamal Khashoggi case comes to an impasse, adding that the truth must come out on who ordered the killing.

Speaking to reporters in Washington after meeting with his US counterpart Mike Pompeo, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey has released all the information it has available on the Khashoggi killing.

He added that the truth must come out regarding who ordered the journalist's death and that Ankara could seek a formal UN investigation if cooperation with Saudi Arabia comes to a halt. He also indicated that the current level of cooperation is less than desirable.

Trump deflects as he says he 'does not know anything' about Assange

President Donald Trump said he doesn't "know much" about WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange, dodging a reporter's question on whether the editor should go free. The claim follows reports that the US has secretly charged Assange.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Tuesday, Trump produced a stunning claim, saying that he has a very superficial knowledge about the most famous self-exiled fugitive in the world:
"I don't know anything about him. Really, I don't know much about him. I really don't."

Comment: It is ungrateful of Trump not to take steps to grant Assange his freedom. However, there are so many surrounding him who would be destroyed if Wikileaks were allowed to bring the full weight of evidence against them. Ex-FBI director is known to have scuttled an earlier deal that would have see Assange set free in 2017. With the CIA-aided election of Moreno in Ecuador, the Deep State was in a perfect position to force his extradition. Ecuador has betrayed one of its own citizens, as has Australia.

SOTT Focus: Brexit: A Political Farce Based on a Public Lie

Brexit posters
Equally-deluded: opposing camps on Brexit
When a dramatic event or trauma occurs to a person that fundamentally changes their life or life course, friends and often psychologists will immediately look to what was happening in the person's life that may have provoked this major change. That's called looking for context. Over the past 2.5 years, I've listened to, read, and watched many pundits and politicians expound on the topic of Brexit, what it means and the reason it came about. Yet not once did I hear any of these 'experts' mention the most important aspect of 'Brexit': the context in which it came about.

The result of Brexit - supposedly a simple vote on whether the UK should leave the EU - has become the farce it is today for one simple reason: the call for the referendum and the vote itself had, essentially, nothing to do with the UK's membership of the EU. Instead, the referendum was called by British politicians as a direct result of British political maneuvering, with the incumbent (then and now) Conservative party attempting to consolidate its grip on power in the face of an increasingly popular 'far right' UK independence movement that was founded on anti-immigrant sentiment and a desire to leave the EU (primarily to control immigration). The vote itself by the British people hinged on that same issue: immigration, or more specifically, immigration to the UK from Muslim countries, understood as being facilitated (or mandated) by the EU.

But why was immigration a sufficiently hot topic in the UK to provoke such a political calamity?

Theresa May got a stark warning about the power of her Northern Irish allies, the DUP, after they switched their support, siding with Labour in several parliamentary votes on a finance bill.

The move throws into doubt the future of the confidence and supply arrangement that sees the DUP's 10 MPs vote with the government. In return for their support, May pledged that there will be no separate post-Brexit status for Northern Ireland.

'Are we also responsible for the California fires?' Iran FM blasts Trump's statement backing Saudis

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has denounced the White House's "shameful statement on Saudi atrocities" for blaming all sorts of ills on his country, asking on Twitter if Tehran will next be blamed for California wildfires.

"Mr. Trump bizarrely devotes the FIRST paragraph of his shameful statement on Saudi atrocities to accuse IRAN of every sort of malfeasance he can think of. Perhaps we're also responsible for the California fires, because we didn't help rake the forests - just like the Finns do?" Zarif tweeted on Tuesday.

A Turkish newspaper has released quotes from an audio tape which reportedly captured last moments of murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

The Washington Post columnist is heard demanding to be freed: "Release my arm! What do you think you are doing?"

Habertürk newspaper, citing security sources, released the gruesome quotes on Monday.

Trump shrugs shoulders, doesn't seem to mind if Saudi Crown Prince MBS ordered the murder of an innocent civilian

US President Trump has said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman "could very well" have known in advance about the plan to kill journalist Jamal Khashoggi, but the US will remain a "steadfast partner" of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement released Tuesday, Donald Trump said that Khashoggi's murder was an "unacceptable and horrible crime," and that as American intelligence agencies continue to investigate the case, "it could very well be that the Crown Prince had knowledge of this tragic event."

Trump went no further with that train of thought, and instead reaffirmed the strategic alliance between the US and Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom, he wrote, is an important ally against Iran and a vital supplier of oil.

The president again touted the importance of maintaining the US' $110 billion arms deal with the Saudi government, which he said means "tremendous economic development" for the US.

Comment: If Trump wants to "consider" what to do, perhaps he might want to look at what is reportedly the chilling last words during and after Khashoggi's interrogation and torture, revealed by a Turkish newspaper:
Release my arm! What do you think you are doing?
In the second part of the recording, Mutreb calls Khashoggi, who was taken into the consulate's B unit, a "traitor."
Traitor! You will be brought to account!
Another voice is heard in the recording. It belongs to 57-year-old Saudi engineer Mustafa al-Madaini who posed as Khashoggi's lookalike:
It is spooky to wear the clothes of a man whom we killed 20 minutes ago.
Trump's full statement, as published on the White House website, and which can be summarized as 'Iran is evil, but Saudi Arabia has cash and oil!':
America First!

The world is a very dangerous place!

The country of Iran, as an example, is responsible for a bloody proxy war against Saudi Arabia in Yemen, trying to destabilize Iraq's fragile attempt at democracy, supporting the terror group Hezbollah in Lebanon, propping up dictator Bashar Assad in Syria (who has killed millions of his own citizens), and much more. Likewise, the Iranians have killed many Americans and other innocent people throughout the Middle East. Iran states openly, and with great force, "Death to America!" and "Death to Israel!" Iran is considered "the world's leading sponsor of terror."

On the other hand, Saudi Arabia would gladly withdraw from Yemen if the Iranians would agree to leave. They would immediately provide desperately needed humanitarian assistance. Additionally, Saudi Arabia has agreed to spend billions of dollars in leading the fight against Radical Islamic Terrorism.

After my heavily negotiated trip to Saudi Arabia last year, the Kingdom agreed to spend and invest $450 billion in the United States. This is a record amount of money. It will create hundreds of thousands of jobs, tremendous economic development, and much additional wealth for the United States. Of the $450 billion, $110 billion will be spent on the purchase of military equipment from Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and many other great U.S. defense contractors. If we foolishly cancel these contracts, Russia and China would be the enormous beneficiaries - and very happy to acquire all of this newfound business. It would be a wonderful gift to them directly from the United States!

The crime against Jamal Khashoggi was a terrible one, and one that our country does not condone. Indeed, we have taken strong action against those already known to have participated in the murder. After great independent research, we now know many details of this horrible crime. We have already sanctioned 17 Saudis known to have been involved in the murder of Mr. Khashoggi, and the disposal of his body.

Representatives of Saudi Arabia say that Jamal Khashoggi was an "enemy of the state" and a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, but my decision is in no way based on that - this is an unacceptable and horrible crime. King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman vigorously deny any knowledge of the planning or execution of the murder of Mr. Khashoggi. Our intelligence agencies continue to assess all information, but it could very well be that the Crown Prince had knowledge of this tragic event - maybe he did and maybe he didn't!

That being said, we may never know all of the facts surrounding the murder of Mr. Jamal Khashoggi. In any case, our relationship is with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They have been a great ally in our very important fight against Iran. The United States intends to remain a steadfast partner of Saudi Arabia to ensure the interests of our country, Israel and all other partners in the region. It is our paramount goal to fully eliminate the threat of terrorism throughout the world!

I understand there are members of Congress who, for political or other reasons, would like to go in a different direction - and they are free to do so. I will consider whatever ideas are presented to me, but only if they are consistent with the absolute security and safety of America. After the United States, Saudi Arabia is the largest oil producing nation in the world. They have worked closely with us and have been very responsive to my requests to keeping oil prices at reasonable levels - so important for the world. As President of the United States I intend to ensure that, in a very dangerous world, America is pursuing its national interests and vigorously contesting countries that wish to do us harm. Very simply it is called America First!

The terrorist death cult the US wants to replace Iran's clerics

Everybody knows Washington wants to get rid of people currently in power in Iran. But who is the better alternative to mullahs? Some top US officials say it's this death cult hated by pretty much everyone in Iran.

Meet People's Mujahedin of Iran, also known as the MEK, whose recent gatherings were graced by the likes of Donald Trump's National Security Advisor John Bolton and the US president's lawyer Rudy Giuliani. Quite a guest list for an organization that started as an Iranian Marxist-Leninist armed group trying to oust the US-backed shah along with the Ayatollah.

After falling out with the new government in Iran, the MEK started a campaign of bombing and assassinations of loyalist officials. Then they got kicked out of the country and found refuge in Saddam Hussein's Iraq. During the war between the two countries, they fought against their own countrymen. More recently, MEK members were helping Israeli intelligence assassinate Iranian nuclear scientists. So, you may guess how big of a supporter base they have in Iran now.

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) said Tuesday that House Republicans plan to hear testimony on Dec. 5 from the prosecutor appointed by former Attorney General Jeff Sessions to probe alleged wrongdoing by the Clinton Foundation.

Meadows, who is chairman of the House Oversight Subcommittee on Government Operations, told Hill.TV's Rising that it's time to "circle back" to U.S. Attorney General John Huber's investigation with the Justice Department into whether the Clinton Foundation engaged any improper activities.

"Mr. [John] Huber with the Department of Justice and the FBI has been having an investigation - at least part of his task was to look at the Clinton Foundation and what may or may not have happened as it relates to improper activity with that charitable foundation, so we've set a hearing date for December the 5th," he told Hill.TV during an interview on Wednesday.
