Several more bodies of civilians have been discovered in Russkoye Porechnoye, a village in Kursk Region, a Telegram channel affiliated with the Russian military has reported.

Russia's Investigative Committee previously opened a case into the deaths of dozens of locals at the hands of Kiev's troops that had been occupying the village before its liberation in January.

The bodies were found on the outskirts of the village, the 'Severny Veter' ('Northern Wind') Telegram channel reported on Monday. Russian troops were only able to scout the area after neutralizing Ukrainian firing positions in the neighboring village of Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, the channel said.

The channel. It did not specify the exact number of bodies found, but said that the information has already been handed over to Russia's investigative authorities:
"We are deeply sorry [to say] that bodies of locals that were brutally murdered by Ukrainian Nazis were discovered in the area."
'Severny Veter' also published a video from the scene showing at least two bodies, with one lying in the yard of a private house and another discovered in what appears to be a cellar or a room of a building filled with debris and rubble. The Russian Investigative Committee has not commented on these developments so far.

Comment: And for this (and worse) the EU is hellbent to fund Ukraine.

Five takeaways from Trump's fateful decision to freeze all military aid to Ukraine

ukraine war us military aid stopped
© The Business StandardDonald Trump is pulling all the stops to end the Ukraine war.
Transatlantic ties, Russian-US relations, and the nature of American hegemony are all transforming before everyone's eyes as Trump makes bold moves to force Zelensky to the peace table with Putin.

An unnamed senior Defense Department told the media on Monday evening that Trump decided to freeze all military aid to Ukraine until its leaders demonstrate a good-faith commitment to peace. This comes just several days after Zelensky picked his fight with Trump and Vance at the White House. The Wall Street Journal earlier predicted that Ukraine could only continue fighting at its current level till this summer in such a scenario. Here are five takeaways from this monumental development:

1. Trump Is Serious About Brokering Peace

Zelensky made it clear during his disastrous visit to the White House last Friday that he's dead-set on fighting till the last Ukrainian unless his country either gets NATO membership or Western troops. Neither of those demands is acceptable to Trump since they'd risk World War III, but so too could that risk continue rising if the conflict doesn't soon end. Trump therefore realized that the only way to force Zelensky to the peace table with Putin is to freeze all military aid until he moderates his extreme stance.

Goodwill gesture: US pauses cyber operations against Russia as Trump, Putin hold talks

Experts warn of security risks as Trump's policy shift leads to halt in cyber strikes on Russia

The US has temporarily suspended offensive cyber and information operations against Russia, a decision reportedly tied to President Donald Trump's diplomatic efforts to negotiate a resolution to the ongoing war in Ukraine with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to The Washington Post.

The report, published Sunday, cites both current and former US officials who confirmed that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the halt, which is expected to remain in effect for the duration of the negotiations. The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the matter, emphasized that the pause is not permanent.

The move has sparked concern, as it coincides with a significant shift in US foreign policy under Trump, suggesting a possible realignment with Russia on the Ukraine conflict. Experts caution that even a temporary halt in cyber operations could undermine US national security efforts.

Comment: Apparently SOP in high-stakes international negotiations. All the Dems and EU officials who have their panties in a bunch can settle down.

Trump and the Brat
See if you can get this straight: So, Keir Starmer says: the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland wants to "put boots on the ground and planes in the air" in Ukraine so as to lead a "coalition of the willing" (NATO) against Russia. Sounds a little like the British PM is holding seances at No. Ten Downing Street to channel the spirits of bygone European leaders who launched doomed bear hunts into the vast and mysterious Eurasian east. (Who comes to mind?)

Why is Europe so avid for war? After eighty-odd years of serving as the world's tourism theme park, languishing in their cafes, maybe they forgot what war is like. The New York Times reports: Ursula von der Leyen said the European Union would fortify Ukraine with economic and military aid, aiming to turn it into "a steel porcupine that is indigestible for potential invaders." This requires you to fall for the fake idea that Russia seeks to invade western Europe. Notice how much the EU acts like America's Democratic Party — projecting its own hostile fantasies on its adversaries.

"Europe is falling": Martin Armstrong warns "that's why they need war" with Russia

Legendary financial and geopolitical cycle analyst Martin Armstrong is back with a new warning about war coming to Europe.

You may have seen the heated exchange between President Trump and President Zelensky of Ukraine on Friday. If not, you should. Some of the Trump highlights are: "President Zelensky is not ready for peace. . . (Zelensky is) gambling with WWIII, and You either make a deal or we are out."

It looks like Zelensky intentionally started a fight with Trump in the White House.

It also looks like every country in Europe is backing more war in Ukraine. And now, there is renewed talk of an EU army.

Armstrong says, "Why?"

US may launch Nord Stream 2

US investors are backing a plan to activate Russia's Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline, the Financial Times has reported, citing sources. The conduit between Russia and Germany, which was never put into operation, may now serve as leverage in the ongoing Ukraine peace talks, the publication has suggested.

The deal is being set up by Matthias Warnig, former executive director of the Swiss-based Nord Stream 2 operator, FT claimed on Sunday. Unnamed US investors are supporting the plan in a "once unthinkable move that shows the breadth of [US President] Donald Trump's rapprochement with Moscow," the outlet wrote.

During his first term in office, Trump was critical of Nord Stream 2, targeting it with sanctions. In an interview in October, he even boasted that his actions had "killed" the project.

Since the outset of his second term in office, however, Trump has initiated a notable shift in US-Russia relations, seeking closer political and economic ties with Moscow and signaling that Washington could "at some point" lift sanctions.

Warnig's plan involves US businessmen reaching out to the White House as part of back-channel efforts to broker peace in Ukraine, the FT wrote. Some in Trump's team reportedly see Nord Stream 2 as potential leverage in peace talks.

Comment: Nice to see some broader global attention versus the pileup of selfish political postures.

The geopolitical causes and consequences of the terrorist attack in Marseille

Russian Intelligence believes further terrorist acts will occur in Europe due to Kiev's ongoing activities.

Recently, the Russian Consulate General in Marseille, France, was targeted in an explosive attack that has put the international community on high alert. Although there were no casualties or significant material damage, the incident carries a troubling symbolism and reveals the growing tensions between Russia and the West, particularly in the context of the conflict in Ukraine. Moscow has suggested that the attack may have been a terrorist act, possibly linked to Ukrainian groups, in an effort to sabotage negotiations between Russia and the United States.

Russia has been clear in its assertions: Kiev is desperate to avoid a peace agreement that would require "excessive concessions" from Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) had already warned of possible attacks on Russian diplomatic missions in Europe, and the incident in Marseille appears to confirm these suspicions. The question remains: how far are Ukraine and its Western allies willing to go to keep the war alive?

Comment: We cannot yet breathe that overdue sigh of relief. The chaos splinters, spreads and intensifies.

Why Chinese models are stunning Americans in the tech catwalk

DeepSeek

When President Xi Jinping hosted a recent - rare - meeting with an array of Chinese tech superstars, including a "rehabilitated" Jack Ma, Alibaba's founder, he urged them to "show their talent", code for going for broke in the tech war with the U.S.

It was no wonder that young Liang Wenfeng, founder of AI sensation DeepSeek, was among the guests.

DeepSeek threw not only Silicon Valley but the whole somewhat paranoid U.S. national security ecosystem completely off balance. Yet Beijing's emphasis is not subversion, but a sound drive towards building an AI system totally independent from U.S. monopolistic pressure and Nvidia products. Alibaba, Huawei and Tencent will likely align their infrastructure with DeepSeek.

This process is perfectly synchronized with the Made in China 2025 project, which has already propelled China to the leadership position in several sectors - from electric vehicles, batteries and solar panels to smart grids and advanced manufacturing. The final breakthroughs will be on top semiconductors and aerospace.

It's now common knowledge that DeepSeek's development was not a product of Silicon Valley labs showered with billions of dollars of research funds. Liang Wenfeng himself revealed it: "I won't lie, our AI was created on the basis of Soviet developments - the OGAS system of Academician Glushkov."

The wonders of History: a Soviet marvel auctioned off for a pittance, $15,000 in 1995 possibly because it was considered worthless, is now the backbone of China's new digital revolution.

Physics heavyweight Quantum Bird, formerly with the CERN in Geneva, is adamant: "The Americans lost the plot. It's all about models employing less computing power and less data. Nvidia high-performance GPUs costing $40,000 consume too much energy. Then there's financial speculation. Raspberry Pi [a small single-board computer], the size of a credit card and with a simple processor, costing $50 for students, they may run DeepSeek, consuming less energy than a cellphone."

And that's just the beginning, Quantum Bird adds: "When Russia and China come up with their first lithographic machine... It was Silicon Valley that pushed the world to this."

Russia-China scientists have already accelerated scientific computing on conventional Nvidia graphics cards by 800 times, creating a new algorithm using reverse engineering.

That was pulled off by a joint group of scientists from MSU-PPI University in Shenzhen (MSU-BIT University), established in 2014 by Lomonosov Moscow State University and Beijing Polytechnic Institute.

In parallel, researchers using Made in China GPUs have already boosted 10 times their performance over U.S. supercomputers relying on Nvidia hardware. U.S. tech sanctions? Who cares?

OSCE shared intel with Ukraine before 2022 - ex-Greek ambassador

OSCE inspectors in Donetsk.
OSCE inspectors examine the territory of the Donetsk filter plant, situated on the contact line between Yasinovataya and Avdeyevka in Donbass on August 12, 2016.
Former envoy to Kiev Vasilios Bornovas claims to have witnessed the Ukrainian army hitting DPR and LPR positions revealed by the observers.

During the armed standoff between the Ukrainian government and the two breakaway Donbass republics between 2014 and 2022, observers from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) secretly shared intelligence with Kiev, former Greek ambassador to Ukraine Vasilios Bornovas has claimed.

Since the escalation of the hostilities, Moscow has called out OSCE's supposed failings on multiple occasions, both in the conflict zone and further afield.

In an interview with Greece's Hellas Journal last Monday, Bornovas said that during his visits to the conflict zone, he had witnessed the "use of classified information [by Kiev's forces] sent by observers from the OSCE regarding the positions of weapons" belonging to the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.

The diplomat recounted that "since these positions were immediately hit by Ukrainian fire, it was obvious that the observers' reports first went through to the Ukrainian services."

Well, he had that coming.

The extraordinary showdown in the Oval Office of the White House last Friday between President Trump, Vice-President Vance, and Ukrainian President Zelensky appears to have killed the agreement between the US government and Kiev for US corporate interests to 'buy into' Ukrainian natural resources and thus have a vested interest in defending Ukraine's interests in the upcoming peace talks with Russia.

This week on NewsReal, we analyze the row (caused by Zelensky, by the way, not Trump and Vance) and the farcical situation shaping up in Europe, where its leaders are 'quadrupling down' on continuing to supply the Ukrainian regime with more money and weapons with which to kill more Russians and Ukrainians

Peace is achievable, but the Eurocrats and the British globalists are NOT going to make it easy...
