Shocking proof how Google censors health news

google
June 3, 2019, Google implemented a broad "core update"1 that in one fell swoop eliminated most Mercola.com pages from its search results. Virtually overnight, Google traffic to my site dropped by approximately 99.9%.

Considering Mercola.com has been the most visited natural health site for the last 16 years, it's no great surprise that we were listed as one of the biggest losers in Google's June algorithm update.2

I wrote about the ramifications of Google's core update in two articles at the end of June 2019. In Part 1, I discussed the effects that the new search algorithm and updated quality rater guidelines is having on traffic to this site.

Comment: The censorship of alternative health information is getting out of hand. The elite are pushing more and more to bury truthful information in multiple subjects to attempt to steer public perception and derive benefits for themselves. Its become so blatantly obvious that anyone giving even the most cursory of investigations can't help but see the information is being controlled. Unfortunately, most people aren't inclined to question where their information is coming from and whose interests are benefited.

SOTT Focus: Pathologizing Conspiracy Theories is The Psychopathic Government's Way of Suppressing Dissent

Conspiracy theory definition
© Department of Politics and International Relations
The term 'conspiracy theory' has long been used to discredit anyone pointing out collusion between powerful people, but efforts to pathologize dissent as 'conspiracism' are doomed to collapse under the weight of reality.

Conspiracy theories are divisive, dangerous, even evil, according to the mainstream media. They cause "violence, including terrorism," former Obama administration official Cass Sunstein notoriously declared, and the FBI's Phoenix field office recently reiterated. They're a way for ignorant people to make sense of the world, academics cry, or a holdover from the caveman era, when primitive man had to suspect enemies around every corner. More recently, they've been described as a way for white people to deal with demographic changes.

But conspiracies are everywhere in American politics today in a way that is nearly impossible to ignore. Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein's sweetheart deal, given an open-door 13-month sentence despite evidence of abusing and trafficking scores of girls ("he belongs to intelligence," the prosecutor later claimed he was told), the machinations of the so-called Deep State ("thank God for the Deep State!" ex CIA director John McLaughlin chuckled, live on CSPAN), and the CIA's fomenting of coups around the world are just the tip of a massive iceberg we are told does not exist except in the minds of crazy or backward people - one on which the ship of state has wrecked itself again and again.

SOTT Focus: Peak Hubris

Capitol Hill
"Hubris" is defined as rash and foolish pride, a dangerous overconfidence, manifested with arrogance. The Deep State vaunts our "exceptionalism", and since Reagan's "City on a HIll" trope Americans have been assured by all succeeding Presidents that ours is the "indispensible nation". The word describes the way America sells itself to the world, and has for generations.

The yawning cognitive gap between our nomenklatura's relentless self-promotion and its pathetic history of botched, humiliating failures in every single act of Imperial overreach, demands examination. Are we at Peak Hubris? When exactly should the hubris of a vicious, lying, sloganeering criminal state be identified as what it is, a cover for unhinged stupidity?

Comment: Chances are, the end of 'pax Americana' will be marked by major global chaos and destruction of several different kinds.

Peter Schiff: People should ditch dollar, fiat currencies in general and buy gold which is 'a real safe haven'

The real driver behind the rise of gold prices is the world's central banks' buying spree, says Peter Schiff of Euro Pacific Capital.

The veteran broker tells RT's Boom Bust, false optimism based on expectations of a US-China trade deal which is "not going to happen" was also driving the price.

He explains that last week's sharp rise of interest rates was due to growing inflation pressures in the economy and because there's not enough demand for all of the bonds being sold.

"All of this is very bullish for gold and so rather than simply selling bonds people should be buying gold because they need to get out of the dollar," says Schiff. "In fact they need to get out of the fiat currencies in general and seek a real safe haven - and that's gold," he adds.

The Mexican foreign minister will demand an emergency meeting of the Organization of American States which he accused to remain silent after the "military pronouncement and police operations".

The Mexican government said Monday it recognizes Evo Morales as the "legitimate" president of Bolivia, denouncing that his resignation was due to a "coup" carried out by the army, which it described as a serious setback for the region.

Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard also said the administration of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador would not recognize a military government in the Andean country.

Turkey begins repatriating terrorists to US and EU

Prison for ISIS fighters
Turkey has repatriated one Daesh (also known as ISIL or ISIS) terrorist from the United States and this week will deport several more terrorists back to Germany, Turkey's Interior Ministry said on Monday.

"A US citizen Daesh terrorist has been repatriated after the completion of legal procedures," Ismail Catakli, the interior ministry spokesman, told Anadolu news agency.

The deportation of a German Daesh terrorist is in progress, Catakli said, adding that a Danish Daesh terrorist would also be repatriated on Monday.

"So, a total of three foreign national terrorists will be deported from our country today," he stated, noting that seven more German Daesh terrorists will also be deported on November 14.

The legal proceedings for the two Irish terrorists caught in Syria were about to end and they would also be repatriated soon, he added.

"Two more German terrorists who had been captured in Syria will be deported [...] this week. In addition, the legal proceedings for the 11 French terrorists who had been captured on the Syrian territories are in progress," Catakli said.

"Turkey will extradite them no matter what," he stressed.

Russian MPs allow use of swastika - but only to condemn Nazi ideology

soviet nazi poster
© SputnikA Soviet patriotic poster from 1945, stating: “The enemy is insidious – don’t lose your guard.”
The swastika and other symbols of the Third Reich can be used, but only if it's done to condemn Nazism, the State Duma ruled. The previous legislation was too harsh, even making addressing classic WWII movies a problem.

There was an outright ban on Nazi symbols in Russia due to them offending the memory of the grave losses suffered by the country during the Great Patriotic War against the German invaders in 1941-45.

But the amendments to the relevant law, which MPs passed in the second reading on Tuesday, allow for the restrictions to be lifted in cases when those symbols are used "to form a negative attitude towards the ideology of Nazism and when signs of propaganda or justification of Nazism are absent." This includes art, science, education and all other areas.

The changes were needed to correct "an absurd situation," one of the deputies behind the initiative, Elena Yampolskaya, explained.
Our people want to honor the memory of their ancestors and uphold the legacy of the Great Patriotic War, but doing this through visual means, while avoiding any Nazi symbols, is almost impossible.
Yampolskaya wondered how the authors of the previous legislation could forget about the World War II movies from the "golden portfolio" of Soviet cinema; patriotic posters from that period, which may, for example, show "a Soviet soldier smashing the swastika - a Nazi symbol - with his foot," historic photos, videos and other materials.

A total ban on Nazi symbols is also wrong as "one should never forget, what his enemies look like," she added.

Comment: That's one reason. Total bans like this are ridiculous on almost every level. But it's nice to see Russian legislators at least moving in the direction of common sense. Meanwhile, in Western culture, the move is increasingly towards total bans of just this sort. For instance: Black conservative removed from meeting over Justin Trudeau blackface

Zarif responds to EU, asking to see 'just one' nuclear deal commitment they've upheld in last year

Earlier, officials from the European Union, France, the UK and Germany issued a joint statement accusing Iran of "breaching" the 2015 nuclear deal and suggesting that they had upheld their commitments to the agreement.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has lashed out at the European signatories of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal, challenging their assertion that they had 'fully upheld commitments under the JCPOA'.

"YOU? Really?" Zarif tweeted, asking his EU, French, British and German colleagues to "just show ONE that you've upheld in the last 18 months."

On Monday, Brussels and the three European JCPOA signatories jointly accused Iran of hindering their joint efforts to defuse tensions by "breaching" the nuclear deal and increasing nuclear enrichment. "The E3/EU have fully upheld their JCPOA commitments, including sanctions-lifting as foreseen under the JCPOA. It is now critical that Iran upholds its JCPOA commitments and works with all JCPOA participants to de-escalate tensions," the European signatories said in a joint statement.

Comment: That's chutzpah. It should be amazing to see the representatives of so-called respectable and democratic countries lie so brazenly. Unfortunately, it has become standard operating procedure.

US is the source of, not "solution" to Syrian war

US troops Syria
After the supposed US "withdrawal" from Syria - Western media outlets have causally reported on US troops now preparing to occupy Syria's oilfields east of the Euphrates River.

Articles include carefully selected "experts" who avoid any mention of how illegal or indefensible the presence of US forces in Syria is to begin with, let alone any mention of "why" US troops are preparing to "claim" Syria's natural resources.

The Guardian in its piece, "US plans to send tanks to Syria oil fields, reversing Trump troop withdrawal - reports," illustrates a voluntary dereliction of due diligence in investigating or questioning Western actions in Syria.

One is left to assume what the US would claim as its excuse for remaining in Syria - likely based on a narrative of denying terrorist organizations such as Al Qaeda or the so-called "Islamic State" (ISIS) and their affiliates access to resources to "fund" their return to the region.

Competition for Moscow? UK election meddling accusations spread from Russia, to India... to Hillary

westminster
© AFP / ISABEL INFANTES
If you believe the daily reports, Britain's ongoing election campaign is facing more interference than an old analogue television during a rainstorm, and amazingly, it's not just Russians being accused of being behind it.

A sense of old world grandeur is easily inflated by convincing yourself that you're so important that the whole world wants to swing your election.

Of course, it is still mainly Russia which stands accused in Britain, because that is just the easiest option available, but now there are also indications of supposed Indian meddling going on, and an election wouldn't be an election if the US wasn't throwing in its two pennies as well.

Representing the old US of A this morning on the BBC was one Hillary Rodham Clinton. I know she isn't an official representative of Washington, but I'm not sure she does, so her input is significant, especially as the old glutton for punishment has been hinting she might take another tilt at the White House.
