Israeli forces strike and raid UN guesthouses in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, as over 50,000 displaced civilians face intensified military operations.

The United Nations reported on Monday that two of its guesthouses in central Gaza were either struck or came under attack, including a raid by Israeli forces on a World Health Organization staff residence, as the military advanced into an area where over 50,000 people had sought refuge from the ongoing bombardment that has lasted for months.

The head of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stated that the agency's guesthouse in Deir al-Balah had been hit three times before Israeli troops stormed the facility, separating families and dividing men from women, with men reportedly subjected to strip searches and interrogations at gunpoint while women and children were forced to evacuate under military orders.

WHO condemned "in the strongest terms the attacks on a building housing WHO staff in Deir al Balah, in the middle area of Gaza, the mistreatment of those sheltering there, and the destruction of its main warehouse."

Merry pranksters on parade

"The forces behind this coup have done and will do anything to protect their grasp on illegal & illegitimate power."
— Stephen Miller
Let's not pretend that RussiaGate was ever anything but a "treasonous conspiracy" and a "years' long coup" as bluntly labeled by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) on Friday. The election prank launched by Hillary Clinton's campaign turned into an overt sedition op led by President Barack Obama to overthrow his elected successor, Donald Trump. DNI Tulsi Gabbard went even further and proffered criminal referrals on all this to the US Attorney General. If you think this is not extremely serious, you are not paying attention.

The New York Times was not paying attention in its Sunday edition. Not a word about this historic action on the paper's website landing page. So now you know why the Harvard law professors, the Martha's Vineyard chardonnay widows, and all the creative class hipsters of Brooklyn persist in their personal globes of political delusion. Instead, The Times dwelt on the Epstein business, still haplessly hoping to catch the Golden Golem in its golem trap. (Mr. Trump's lawsuit against the Pulitzer Prize committee for rewarding the Time's RussiaGate coverage is still pending, by the way.)

Comment: A deeply understated title for this vitiated crew.

Warning

Screaming - Nuclear War Is Coming! "All this is made up to scare you"

Media on strings
© UnknownDaily Reconing
How wise is it to blast out threats of nuclear war almost non-stop? The financial investment advisory guru, Martin Armstrong, has just issued another such warning to the world: 100% Chance of Nuclear War - Martin Armstrong | Greg Hunter's USAWatchdog, by Greg Hunter's USAWatchdog.com.

Six weeks ago, legendary financial and geopolitical cycle analyst Martin Armstrong was signaling a big turn toward war. Now, Armstrong says:
"The chances of war with a nuclear exchange is at 100%. . .. Plan on it, this is coming."
The continuous yelling "Wolf" is obnoxious in many ways, because it has the intention to bring fear to the people, to make them morally weak, as they are afraid. The long-term effect is that people do not believe the warning anymore, even if and when it could become true.

Which it will not.

Putin doing better job than any German leader - Tucker Carlson

MerkelPutin

Russia is going up, while Germany is going down, the US journalist told Bild.

The German people should be angry at their own government which ruined their country rather than Russian President Vladimir Putin, US journalist Tucker Carlson has told the Berlin-based newspaper Bild.

A large portion of the two‑hour interview released on Saturday was devoted to Carlson's interview with Putin from February 2024. During the exchange, the US journalist pushed back against Bild deputy editor-in-chief Paul Ronzheimer's attempts to condemn the Russian leader over the Ukraine conflict.

After Ronzheimer referred to Putin as a "criminal," Carlson replied:
"I am not defending Putin, who I think has done a great job for Russia. Much better job than any German leader. That is for sure. Your country is going down, Russia is going up. You should be mad at your own leaders. You are mad at Putin instead."
According to Carlson, Angela Merkel - the German chancellor from 2005 to 2021 - is far more deserving of being branded a "criminal" because "she wrecked your country through mass migration... It will not recover in your lifetime or mine."

Comment: 'Look there not here' is the standard for government deflection.

The attack, which involved Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, also hit military airfields, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said.

Russian forces have carried out a coordinated overnight strike on Ukraine's military-industrial complex and airfield infrastructure, the Defense Ministry in Moscow has said.

In a statement on Monday, the ministry reported that a group strike used long-range air-, sea-, and surface-launched precision weapons. It also included Kinzhal hypersonic ballistic missiles and attack drones, officials added.

"The goal of the strike has been achieved. All designated targets have been hit," the ministry stated.

Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky confirmed the strikes, reporting damage in Kiev and its surroundings, as well as in Kharkov and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. He also claimed that Ukrainian air defenses had downed drones in Sumy, Khmelnitsky, Kirovograd, Nikolayev, and Poltava regions, and in the Kiev-occupied part of Kherson Region.

DNI Tulsi Gabbard: More whistleblowers coming forward about Obama-Clinton anti-Trump plot

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard
Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard said Sunday that whistleblowers were coming forward since the release of documents and a memo detailing the Obama administration's efforts to undermine President Donald Trump after the 2016 election.

Gabbard released documents and a memo Friday detailing what she called a "years-long coup" against Trump after he defeated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race. Gabbard described the whistleblowers as people who were "disgusted" with the "treasonous conspiracy" allegedly ordered by then-President Barack Obama in the aftermath of Clinton's defeat.

"We have whistleblowers ... coming forward now, after we released these documents because there are people who were around, who were working within the intelligence community who so disgusted by what happened, we're starting to see some of them come out of the woodwork here because they, too, like you and I and the American people, want to see justice delivered," Gabbard told Sunday Morning Futures host Maria Bartiromo. "So we're going to provide everything that we have, everything that we will continue to gather to the Department of Justice for that direct intent and that direct purpose."

Peter Navarro says Trump's economic bill set to generate trillions in surplus, not debt

Trump Navarro

CBO projections fail to account for dynamic growth effects and tariff revenue in historic legislation

The Republican Congress and President Donald Trump just delivered a major victory to the American people by passing and enacting into law the historic One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBB). Predictably, liberal media outlets - led by CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times and the Washington Post - continue to insist the OBBB will add trillions of dollars to our national debt.

The truth - backed by both historical experience and robust economic analysis - is the exact opposite. President Trump's OBBB will not only boost jobs and take-home pay for America's working-class families. It will slash deficits by trillions of dollars even as its targeted expenditures will strengthen our national defense and secure our borders. As a bonus, OBBB will rapidly accelerate the deportation of millions of illegal aliens now stealing jobs from American citizens and driving down wages.

Comment: Navarro paints a rosy picture, and perhaps in a sane world, his predictions might actually happen. He does have a point about the success of Trump's 2017 economic policies. They brought him a big chunk of the middle and lower class vote in 2024, as those groups had felt the benefit directly.

But there are too many shifting factors at play now, not the least of which is the solidifying of the BRICS organization as an economic bloc. The US economy is simply not operating in the same world as it was four years ago.

Time will tell.

US has launched over 50 airstrikes in Somalia in 2025 but virtually no MSM coverage

Somalia airstrike

US Africa Command has announced that it launched two separate airstrikes in Somalia on Sunday, as the Trump administration is continuing to bomb the country at a record pace, an air war that is receiving virtually no coverage in US media.

AFRICOM said that the strikes targeted the ISIS affiliate in Somalia's northeastern Puntland region, to the southeast of the port city of Bossaso. The command offered no further details, as it has stopped sharing estimates of casualties or assessments of potential civilian harm.

AFRICOM confirmed to Antiwar.com in an email that the latest attack marked the 51st US airstrike in Somalia of the year, putting the Trump administration on track to easily break the annual record, which President Trump set at 63 in 2019. Antiwar.com is also seeking details on casualties from AFRICOM, but so far hasn't received a figure.

Trump Tells Bondi to Seek Release of Epstein Grand Jury Testimony

Pam Bondi
© Pete Marovich for The New York TimesAttorney General Pam Bondi
President Trump announced Thursday night that he was authorizing Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek the public release of grand jury testimony from the prosecution of the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, and Ms. Bondi said she would make that request in federal court on Friday.

Mr. Trump, under intense pressure from his right-wing base after a Justice Department review found no evidence to support conspiracy theories about the sex trafficking case, ordered Ms. Bondi to "produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval," in a social media post.

The president cited "the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein" for his directive, which falls far short of demands from some congressional Republicans to make public all investigative files collected by the department and the F.B.I., not just testimony presented in federal court.

Ms. Bondi, a Trump loyalist accused by far-right influencers of abetting a cover-up, responded immediately with a post on social media that undercut the memo the department and F.B.I. drafted this month declaring Mr. Epstein's 2019 jailhouse death a suicide and the case closed.

Macron promises billions more for French defense budget

marcron

France will boost defense spending to €64 billion in 2027, French President Emmanuel Macron announced Sunday, without saying where the money will come from.

"To be free in this world you must be feared, to be feared you must be powerful," he told an audience of top military brass in the gardens of the French defense ministry.

Comment: One wonders if people like Macron actually believe the above or they are just using cliches to enrich their defense industry supporters. Because the above is certainly not true.

"While we had planned to double the defense budget by 2030, we will double it by 2027. There will be €64 billion for defense in 2027, that's twice more than in 2017. It's a new, historic and proportionate effort," he added.

Macron's speech on the armed forces — which is a French tradition ahead of the July 14 Bastille Day military parade — comes on the heels of last month's NATO summit, where allies committed to boosting core defense spending to 3.5 percent of GDP by 2035. Europe's NATO member countries are looking to deter an expansionist Russia while preparing for reduced American military involvement on the continent.
