DNI Gabbard declassified a report prepared by the House Intelligence Committee containing the findings

The intelligence community did not have any direct information that Russian President Vladimir Putin wanted to help elect Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election, but, at the "unusual" direction of then-President Barack Obama, published "potentially biased" or "implausible" intelligence suggesting otherwise, the House Intelligence Committee found.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified a report prepared by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence back in 2020.

The report, which was based on an investigation launched by former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., was dated Sept. 18, 2020. At the time of the publication of the report, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., was the chairman of the committee.

Comment: Liars, the lot of them.

Best of the Web: Justice Department told Trump in May that his name is in the Epstein Files

Bondi also told president at the meeting that Justice decided to not release more Jeffrey Epstein documents because of the presence of child pornography and the need to protect victims

When Justice Department officials reviewed what Attorney General Pam Bondi called a "truckload" of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein earlier this year, they discovered that Donald Trump's name appeared multiple times, according to senior administration officials.

In May, Bondi and her deputy informed the president at a meeting in the White House that his name was in the Epstein files, the officials said. Many other high-profile figures were also named, Trump was told. Being mentioned in the records isn't a sign of wrongdoing.

The officials said it was a routine briefing that covered a number of topics and that Trump's appearance in the documents wasn't the focus.

Comment: But it changed everything, and it explains why Musk and Trump fell out, and why Musk almost immediately blurted out on X that Trump was not 'releasing the files' because Trump was personally implicated.

They told the president at the meeting that the files contained what officials felt was unverified hearsay about many people, including Trump, who had socialized with Epstein in the past, some of the officials said. One of the officials familiar with the documents said they contain hundreds of other names.

Comment: This second Trump term is already going down in flames.

President Donald Trump is set to take executive action making it easier for cities and states to remove homeless people from the streets.

Under an executive order Trump is prepared to sign on July 24, the president will direct Attorney General Pam Bondi to "reverse judicial precedents and end consent decrees" that limit local and state governments' ability to move homeless people from streets and encampments into treatment centers, according to a White House summary of the order reviewed by USA TODAY.

Trump's signature will redirect federal funds to ensure the homeless people impacted are transferred to rehabilitation, treatment and other facilities, the White House said, though it was not immediately clear how much money would be allocated.

Exposing the Garland Memo: A case study in government weaponized against parents

jon tigges arrest loudoun school board meeting
© Reuters/YouTubeLaw enforcement arrested Jon Tigges at a Loudoun school board meeting on June 22, 2021, after he tried expressing concerns about the school district's "moral decay."
On October 4, 2021, the Attorney General of the United States issued a directive that would rattle the very foundation of American civil society. Parents, concerned about their children's education, found themselves recast not as civic participants but as potential threats to national security. According to a memo issued by AG Merrick Garland, the Justice Department would coordinate with the FBI and US Attorneys to address a supposed spike in threats against school board officials. But the underlying claim was a fiction. And now, thanks to newly released internal DOJ documents obtained by America First Legal (AFL), we can say conclusively what many suspected at the time: the Biden administration orchestrated this memo as part of a political operation, driven not by law or evidence, but by ideology and electoral calculus.

Let us begin with a question. Why did the Department of Justice, whose jurisdiction is meant to guard against actual federal crimes, insert itself into a public conversation dominated by non-criminal speech? The answer, as the documents now confirm, is that it did so at the prompting of the White House, which viewed parents not as constituents to be heard, but as dissidents to be managed.

More protests are expected in Ukraine after Zelensky signs controversial anti-corruption bill

zelensky
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky
Activists on Wednesday called for more protests of a new law that they say weakens Ukraine's anti-corruption watchdogs, following the first major anti-government demonstration in over three years of war.

The legislation, which has also drawn rebukes from European Union officials and international rights groups, has put increased pressure on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and endangered his public support at a critical phase of the war.

Also on Wednesday, delegations from Russia and Ukraine met in Istanbul for a third round of talks in as many months. The talks appeared to have lasted less than an hour and yielded no breakthroughs. The two sides, however, agreed to exchange more prisoners of war.

Legal corruption and war profiteering in the U.S. Senate

Psychopath Graham
© The Hill
Since joining the Senate in 2003, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has transformed from a relatively modest public servant into a multimillionaire, amassing a fortune between $4.5-$5 million by 2024. His financial ascent isn't due to business acumen — but to his abuse of committee influence, lobbyist access, and donor-funded political favoritism.

OpenSecrets and other financial disclosures show that Graham's wealth tripled what his Senate salary could legally justify, suggesting covert income streams and insider trading — violating the Securities Exchange Act.

Quid Pro Quo and Lobbyist Cash

Between 2019-2024, Graham's campaigns received over $117 million, largely from lobbyist-linked PACs and donors, including:

- Republican Jewish Coalition

- Nelson Mullins

- Boeing

He receives consulting fees and high-paid speaking gigs, with investigations revealing that donations frequently follow private meetings — some within hours.

Pro-Israel Lobby & Foreign InfluenceGraham is deeply tied to pro-Israel lobbyists, particularly AIPAC, receiving more than $10 million from related donors. In return, he's taken lavish trips to Israel and threatened to cut U.S. UN funding to align with Israeli interests.

Since the start of the war in Ukraine, in February 2022, Volodymyr Zelensky has been elevated to the status of a hero King, pure in thought and deed, interested only in saving humble Ukraine from the onrushing hordes of Russian Orcs. Like Aragorn from Lord of the Rings, but short, thin-skinned and with a gravelly voice. He has been completely immune from any criticism in the west, with all allegations dismissed and labelled as Kremlin talking points.

Yet, in an instant, that illusion has been shattered.

For the first time since February 2022, Zelensky has been revealed as, in practical terms, no different from other Ukrainian Presidents who have preceded him since the country gained independence in August 1991; corrupt and authoritarian.

This comes as no surprise to most realists, but will be a devastating blow to the neo-liberal true-believers who have invested their reputations and cash into defeating Russia.

This week, President Zelensky signed a law that strips two important anti-corruption bodies - the National Anti-Courrption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) of their independence, making them report to the Prosecutor General, who he appointed.

Let's be clear, corruption is and has been a hugely totemic issue in Ukraine, right back to the onset of the Maidan protests in late 2013. During my visits to Ukraine, while posted to Russia, it was absolutely clear that young people believed tackling corruption to be a top priority for the government. This formed part of their desire for Ukraine to move towards European Union membership, for their country to integrate into a community more clearly governed by democracy and the rule of law.

Whether they might consider the European Union to be democratic today, as unelected Commission President Ursula von der Leyen centralises ever more powers, is another question. But that European and anti-corruption aspiration was very real back in 2013.

More files from Tulsi Gabbard's wrecking ball

The latest revelations not only demonstrate John Brennan's criminality but disclose Hillary Clinton's health issues and a reminder that Christopher Steele is the ultimate scumbag.

As I said last week — when these documents are released on a rolling basis, I will post as soon as possible for your own review.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard is cranking up the heat on the Russiagate perpetrators, former President Barack Obama in particular. Last week, Gabbard released documents showing there was no basis to conclude the Kremlin cyber-attacked the 2016 presidential election and fingered Obama as the key perp in the phony intel operation.. Today, she released arguably an even more explosive document — a House Intelligence Committee report on its investigation into the development of John Brennan's infamous 2017 ICA claiming the Russians tried to help Donald Trump win the presidency.

Bottom line: Not only did Brennan and Company never have proof the Russians planned to "hack" the 2016 election, they had no proof aside from the bogus Steele dossier that the Russians wanted Donald Trump to win — the conclusion of the ICA.

'Clear corruption': House Minority Leader Jeffries faces complaint for pressuring judges to oust Atty. Alina Habba

Ethics complaint filed against Jeffries for 'improperly inserting himself' into criminal proceeding against fellow Democrat

Republican legal activists have asked the Ethics Committee to investigate House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries after he called on federal district judges to remove U.S. Attorney Alina Habba from her position.

Jeffries' complaints about Habba stemmed from her decision to charge Rep. LaMonica McIver, D-N.J., with obstructing Homeland Security agents during an altercation at an immigration facility in Newark on May 9.

McIver has pleaded not guilty. She is now headed for trial on Nov. 10.

"The so-called U.S. Attorney in NJ maliciously indicted Congresswoman LaMonica McIver for doing her job," said Jeffries in a post on X. "Habba is a woefully unqualified political hack who must go.

Best of the Web: Macrons file suit against Candace Owens for defamation

owens macron brigitte defamation
"You can't be serious?"
The French president, Emmanuel Macron, and his wife, Brigitte Macron, are suing the rightwing commentator Candace Owens for defamation.

In a suit filed on Wednesday in Delaware against Owens and her businesses, the Macrons say Owens has engaged in ongoing defamatory attacks against them in order to elevate her media platform, gain more audience and make money.

Owens said in early 2024 that she would "stake [her] entire professional reputation on the fact that Brigitte Macron is in fact a man". Since then, she has doubled down on these claims and added more, including in an eight-part podcast series called Becoming Brigitte, the lawsuit alleges.

The Macrons sought retractions from Owens, the suit says, for the "demonstrably false" claims she has made about them but she instead "mocked them and used them as additional fodder for her frenzied fan base".

Comment: Yeah, two weeks ago!

We guess the Macrons are feeling lucky.
