Joe Biden's horrible would-be administration: Presumptuous president elect assembles cabinet

Susan Rice
Susan Rice, who was a member of the Obama administration, is seen as a safe pick for secretary of state.
Susan Rice is being considered for secretary of state and Michele Flournoy is reportedly top choice for defence secretary

Joe Biden is piecing together what he has promised to be a diverse cabinet, with Michele Flournoy reportedly top choice for US defence secretary and Susan Rice considered a frontrunner for secretary of state.

Flournoy was previously a senior defense adviser in Bill Clinton and Barack Obama's administrations and is considered a political moderate. Since leaving government she has been involved in various consultancy roles around military contracts.

The appointment, if confirmed by the US Senate, would end a tumultuous period under Donald Trump, who has had five male defense secretaries during his presidency. The latest, Mark Esper, was unceremoniously fired on Monday for, among other issues, disagreeing with the president over the use of force against civilian protesters.

Comment: Yeah, civilian protesters who happen to destroy property, attack police precincts and inflict violence on anyone who isn't them.

Comment: More analysis on this already disastrous line-up:
As this blog is often concerned with U.S. foreign policy and the damage it causes, a look at Biden's foreign policy team seems adequate.

In short - it is awful.

Susan Rice of Benghazi fame, National Security Advisor under Obama, is said to become Secretary of State.

Michele Flournoy, co-founder of the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), will become Secretary of Defense. Flournoy is a hawk. CNAS is financed by donations from the who-is-who of the military industrial complex. She also co-founded WestExec Advisors, a consultancy that pulls strings to help companies to win Pentagon contracts.

Also at WestExec Advisors was Tony Blinken who is set to become the National Security Advisor. He was National Security Advisor for then Vice President Biden, Deputy National Security Advisor for Obama and Deputy Secretary of State.

All three, together with Joe Biden, promoted the 2003 war on Iraq and supported the wars the Obama administration launched or continued against some seven countries.

They will continue to wage those wars and will probably add a few new ones.

[...]

There will be much pressure from the liberal hawks to finish the war they had launched against Syria by again intensifying it. Trump had ended the CIA's Jihadi supply program. The Biden team may well reintroduce such a scheme.
The progressive wing of the Democratic party are upset about some of the appointments - as the rank and file of the DNC didn't already disenfranchise them by fixing the vote against Bernie Sanders. Twice. Dopes.
A leading progressive group warned Tuesday that President-elect Joe Biden's "corporate-friendly appointments to his White House" risks fracturing any goodwill he built up with the left-wing of the Democratic party.

"A Biden administration dominated by corporate-friendly insiders like Steve Ricchetti and Cedric Richmond will not help the President-elect usher in the most progressive Democratic administration in generations," Justice Democrats Executive Director Alexandria Rojas said in a statement.

"Progressives make up nearly half of the Democratic Party's seats in the House of Representatives and should receive adequate representation in the Biden administration," Rojas said.

Justice Democrats, best known for spearheading New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's upset primary campaign against former New York Democratic Rep. Joe Crowley in 2018, took umbrage with Biden's announcement Tuesday that he was appointing Louisiana Rep. Cedric Richmond and longtime confidant Steve Ricchetti to posts in his administration.

Europe still needs US, NATO for security: German defence minister

Europe will not be able to provide for its own security without U.S. and NATO help for decades to come, Germany's defence minister said on Tuesday, rejecting French President Emmanuel Macron's call for an independent European defence strategy.

Macron made his appeal in an interview for the 'Revue Grand Continent' publication on Monday, saying the United States would only respect Europe as allies "if we have sovereignty regarding our defence".

"The idea of a strategic autonomy for Europe goes too far if it nurtures the illusion that we could ensure Europe's security, stability and prosperity without NATO and the U.S.," German Defence Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer said.

Pennsylvania governor announces new COVID rules, including wearing a mask in your house

Tom Wolf
© Fox NewsTom Wolf, Governor of Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania is planning to take additional steps to address a sharp increase in coronavirus infections and hospitalizations, including requiring masks to be worn indoors with limited exceptions, officials said Tuesday.

In addition, starting Friday, anyone who enters Pennsylvania must be tested at least 72 hours before arrival, and if they can or do not get a test, they must quarantine for 14 days. The order does not apply to people who commute to neighboring states for work or health care, officials said, and will be largely self-enforced.

Pennsylvania already has a statewide mask mandate, limits on indoor and outdoor gatherings and occupancy restrictions at bars and restaurants.

But the new rules go even further. Masks are required outside where it isn't possible to maintain at least a six-foot distance from others, according to the order, and inside where people from multiple households are gathering, even if they can maintain a social distance.

Hungary, Poland block 2021-2027 EU budget, COVID recovery package with conditions

Hungary and Poland leaders
Visegrad group meets with EC President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels
Hungary and Poland blocked on Monday the adoption of the 2021-2027 budget and recovery fund by European Union governments because the budget law included a clause which makes access to money conditional on respecting the rule of law.

Ambassadors of EU governments at a meeting in Brussels were to endorse a compromise reached on the 1.8 trillion package with the European Parliament, but could not do that because of the veto from Warsaw and Budapest.

The German EU presidency said ambassadors did vote through the link between EU money and the respect for the rule of law, because this vote required only a qualified majority and the opposition of Warsaw and Budapest could not stop it.

Federal Election Commission Chairman: If Sidney Powell says there was rampant voter fraud, 'I believe her'

Sidney Powell
© Samira Bouaou/The Epoch TimesSidney Powell, author of the bestseller "Licensed to Lie" and lead counsel in more than 500 appeals in the Fifth Circuit, in Washington on May 30, 2019.
Trey Trainor, head of the Federal Election Commission (FEC), said in a tweet Tuesday that he believes Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell's claim of widespread election fraud.

Powell, a former federal prosecutor, recently claimed the president's legal team has been receiving a deluge of evidence concerning voter fraud and other irregularities, telling Fox Business that she has enough proof to launch a widespread criminal investigation and that, "we're getting ready to overturn election results in multiple states."

While she declined to detail what evidence she may have in her possession, she insisted, "I don't make comments without having the evidence to back it up."

Trainor, in his tweet, called Powell "forthright and honest in every case she's ever taken on," adding that, "if she says there is rampant voter fraud in #Election2020, I believe her."

Comment: Powell is clearly suggesting what she thinks is the much Bigger Picture of this conflict in the following Tweet:

SOTT Focus: Lord Malloch Brown Revealed: The British Hand Behind The US Election Coup Attempt Shows Its Scales Again

Lord Malloch Brown
Throughout the four-year drama of Russiagate, the hand of British intelligence has revealed itself continuously.

From the obvious role of Sir Richard Dearlove and his former MI6 underlying Christopher Steele who together played a driving role in shaping the dodgy dossier, to their involvement with Oxford Rhodes Scholar Strobe Talbott in composing, promoting and marketing the fraudulent dossier to targeted members of Congress and media, to British Ambassador Sir Darroch caught "flooding the zone" with British intelligence assets to shape Trump's perception of the world, to the array of British entrapment operations that targeted Michael Flynn as early as 2014 in London... wherever one looks, the hand of British intelligence seems to be everywhere.

While vast effort is made to downplay the British roots of the deep state by the media which tends to portray this problem from a partisan narrative of "democratic party corruption", this sleight of hand misses the causal nexus and demands we believe that the tail truly wags the dog.

The uncomfortable truth which many are either too afraid, lazy or corrupt to admit is that since the moment John F Kennedy died on November 22, 1963, both the Democratic and Republican Parties have undergone an slow take-over by this foreign parasite. The thing that has come to be known as the "deep state" was never based on one party or another, and never emanated from anything native to the Constitutional traditions of the US government itself as I outlined in my previous article "Understanding the Trifold Nature of the Deep State".

Comment: It is creatures like Brown, Soros, Obama, Sunstein etc. - and the networks of companies, NGO's, and media organs who now wield almost unfathomable power over whole populations precisely because the implications of what they do, and what they're about, is lost on so many. It's high time that their dark works are exposed to a far greater number of people of good will. And that they are brought down.

Russian parliament approves plan making Putin & Medvedev 'senators for life'

Putin
© Global Look Press / Kremlin PoolRussian President Putin takes part in 2020 BRICS Summit
Russia's State Duma has ratified a Bill that may give Russian President Vladimir Putin a permanent post in the powerful Federation Council for life. Putin has previously indicated he may stand down at the end of his current term.

The new legislation, which passed its first reading on Tuesday, states that "a President of the Russian Federation, after terminating his powers due to the expiration of his term of office, or his resignation" would automatically be granted a seat on the body, which also includes two representatives from each political division of the country. The president will also be able to appoint up to 30 senators, some for six-year terms, and others for life, to the council.

Membership of the Federation Council guarantees politicians immunity from prosecution. A second Bill has also been introduced that would strengthen the immunity of former presidents, regardless of whether they still play a role in politics and even covering their activities prior to taking office.

At the same time that Kelly Garrett was acting as Mayor of Lathrup Village, she was also working as a full-time Project Manager/Customer Relations Manager for Dominion Voting Systems. According to her Linkedin resume, Kelly started working at Dominion in May of 2017, but a $25 million contract with the State of MI showing Kelly's name as one of the Dominion representatives executing the deal, is dated March 1, 2017.

Two years after executing the $25 million Dominion Voting Systems deal with the State of Michigan, Mayor Kelly became the Deputy Director of the Michigan Democratic Party.

Swedish PM gives in, institutes 'rule of 8' Covid restriction - and other lockdown news

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven
© JONATHAN NACKSTRAND/AFP via Getty ImagesSwedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven
Sweden has been pretty much the only country in the world to have responded to coronavirus using a voluntary system: advising, rather than instructing, the public. But this has changed today with Stefan Löfven, the Prime Minister, saying he will pass a law to introduce a ban on gatherings of eight people or more. 'Do your duty. Do not go to the gym, do not go to the library, do not have parties. Do not come up with excuses that would make your activity OK,' he said in a press conference. 'It is your and my choices — every single day, every single hour, every single moment — that will now determine how we manage this.'

To hear from Löfven at all on Covid is unusual: so far the state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell has been the face of its Covid response. Tegnell seems unimpressed. 'This is the government's decision when it comes to how many people can gather,' he told Swedish radio earlier today. 'It is not us putting the foot down.' Indeed his public health agency recently abolished extra restrictions for the over-70s saying the harm caused by loneliness and isolation outweighs the risk from the virus. It rejected compulsory lockdown, saying the side effects would be too great and people would — if asked — do the right thing. This is in spite of the fact that Sweden was hit far worse than its Nordic neighbours and was up there with Britain when it comes to deaths per capita. Until a few weeks ago it looked as if it did not have much of a second wave problem.

But now, the second wave is striking Sweden hard. Fredrik Elgh, professor of virology at Umeå University, recently told SVT that hospitalisations in Sweden are two weeks away from surpassing the peak of the first wave. This builds political pressure — which Tegnell has tended not to respond to.

Comment: Total BS. It is not hitting Sweden "hard."

Comment: Over at Lockdown Sceptics, Will Jones comments:
This shift in strategy to a nationally enforced "Rule of 8" does not appear to have the backing of state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell, who has said he wants to use the same no-lockdown approach for the "second wave" as he did for the first.

Perhaps the PM is listening instead to Fredrik Elgh, Professor of Virology at Umeå University, who recently claimed Sweden is two weeks away from surpassing the first wave's peak hospitalisations. Has he not noticed that ICU admissions are currently in decline? And does he not recall that the health service coped fine in the spring?

Prof Elgh also noted that lockdowns appear to have worked in Belgium and the Czech Republic. But it's cherry-picking data to look just at two countries where a decline happened to coincide with restrictions.

What about the fact that Sweden's first wave declined with no lockdown, while in the UK the R rate dropped below 1 before lockdown both in the spring and in the autumn?

Why is the country introducing lockdown measures now, when there is nothing to indicate an autumn out of the ordinary? It may be because the country had hoped to have a milder autumn surge than they are experiencing. But that disappointment doesn't change the basic parameters, which is that Covid has not been responsible for more than a medium to severe flu season anywhere, whatever restrictions have been applied. The graph below illustrates this point perfectly, showing Sweden's 2019-2020 flu season death toll scarcely higher than earlier years. Not locking down does not result in a death toll much beyond the normal range, and most of those who die are already past the average life expectancy.
sweden deaths
All-cause deaths in Sweden in October-May (not adjusted for population)
...
What a shame that the chin-wobbling Swedish politicians seem at this late stage to have developed a hunger for locking down. Whatever restrictions they now impose though, Sweden remains an important demonstration of what happens when a country refuses to lock down. Sweden may not want to heed the lessons of its own example, but others can.
World leaders all over the world are freaking out over nothing. Scotland will enter a useless "short and sharp" lockdown - closing pubs, restaurants, gyms and 'non-essential' shops, banning meetings in private homes, banning travel between areas - because Christmas. South Korea is imposing stricter social distancing rules. The French health minister says there's no end in sight for lockdown - even thought ICU numbers have dropped. Germany's Merkel is telling people to "reduce contacts" because of the "uncontrolled spread" of the virus. That's what viruses do during flu season, Merkel, and this one practically harmless.

Over in the States, California's weak governor is "considering" imposing a curfew, because of a surge in "cases" (i.e., false positives). Iowa is imposing a statewide mask mandate.

Your leaders lie. This is a pseudo-pandemic caused by false positives.

On the bright side, Bergamo, Italy, seems to have achieved some level of herd immunity after actually being hit hard early this year.

Pennsylvania results show a statistically impossible pattern behind Biden's steal

We caught their fraud! And in this post tonight — our first of many — We will reveal how they stole the battleground states!

The fix is in. The current results of the Presidential election in Pennsylvania reported to the public are fraudulent because they are nearly statistically impossible.

On election night President Trump totally ran away with the election in Pennsylvania. President Trump was ahead of Joe Biden by nearly 700,000 votes! It was an insurmountable lead.

The President was still ahead in Pennsylvania with 56% of the vote to Biden's 43% the next morning.

The President was winning Pennsylvania and held a 675,000 vote lead in the election over Joe Biden.
