Davos 2023 - Whistling Past the Great Reset's Graveyard

WEF meeting
In November 2021 I wrote a piece entitled "Have We Finally Reached Peak Davos?" This article was scarily spot on. When you've written as much as I have over the past five years, however, it's easy to look back and point at how prescient you were.

Even if you've gotten a whole lotta stuff wrong, which I have.

That particular article, though, was nearly point-for-point correct in assessing the state of The Davos Crowd's Great Reset project.

I wrote a Twitter thread about this the other day to pound the next few nails in Davos' coffin before the opening of this year's convocation of clueless globalists.

Russia orders Estonia's ambassador to leave

Margus Laidre

Russia has reduced the level of diplomatic ties with Estonia and told its ambassador, Margus Laidre, to leave Moscow by February 7. The move comes after Estonia demanded that Moscow cut the staff of its embassy in Tallinn.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday that "the Estonian leadership has been deliberately destroying the whole complex of [bilateral] relations."

"Tallinn has elevated total Russophobia and the cultivation of hostilities towards our country to the level of state policy," the statement read.

This month, the Estonian authorities told Russia to drastically reduce the personnel in its embassy in Tallinn by February 1. "Considering that the personnel of the Russian embassy is not working on improving Estonian-Russian relations in the middle of an aggressive war, we believe that the current size of the Russian mission is unjustified," Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu said at the time.

Moscow warns West of 'global tragedy' if its territory is threatened by Western weapons

Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin

A "global tragedy" could be in store for humanity if the West keeps supplying weapons to Ukraine, Russia's most senior lawmaker has warned. Vyacheslav Volodin, the speaker of the State Duma, also suggested that Moscow could retaliate with more powerful arms, should its territory be threatened.

Volodin's remarks came days after a meeting at US Ramstein air base in Germany at which Western powers pledged to continue supporting Kiev.

On Sunday, Volodin took to Telegram to point out that should the weapons provided by the US and fellow NATO member states be used to "strike civilian cities and to attempt to seize our territories, as they threaten [to do]," Moscow would respond with "more powerful weapons."

Comment: This is the second such warning that a Russian official has given in the last 2 weeks; one would suppose that Russia is well aware of the West's machinations at Ramstein, and the desperation of Ukraine's losing Nazi army, and so they're making their position clear, despite also knowing that the pathocrats in the West may be unable to control themselves: Last warning? In an apparent last-ditch effort to thwart Russian forces sweeping across Ukraine, the Anglo-Americans are putting enormous pressure on Germany to greenlight the delivery of thousands of German-made Leopard 2 tanks to the 'war theater' they created. Faced with the prospect of the Russian army destroying German tanks en masse, for the second time in 80 years, will Germany cave and repeat history?

Meanwhile, the 'globalist elite' are meeting in Davos, Switzerland, for this year's World Economic Forum, where its representatives and prestigious guests are doing everything possible to validate ordinary people's suspicions that 'the globalists' are megalomaniacs.

National Archives refusing to share Biden doc info with House Republicans without DOJ approval

National Archives officials argue sharing certain information on Biden classified documents may hamper DOJ special counsel investigation

The National Archives says it requires Justice Department approval before it can share information with Congress about the classified documents found in President Biden's home in Wilmington, Delaware, and the Penn Biden Center think tank.

Republicans on Capitol Hill have demanded details on the contents of the three stashes of classified documents found in Biden's Wilmington garage and the Penn Biden Center's offices in Washington.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., has been aggressive in seeking details about the documents and Biden's handling of them. Nevertheless, the National Archives sent a letter to Comer Tuesday evening saying it cannot yet comply.

"DOJ has advised it will need to consult with the newly appointed Office of Special Counsel (SCO) in DOJ to assess whether information can be released without interfering with the SCO's investigation," acting Archivist Debra Steidel Wall wrote in the letter, first obtained by CNN.

Best of the Web: The green revolution is fueling environmental destruction

rare earth mine
© Global WitnessA rare earth mine along Myanmar's border with China, an industry causing extreme environmental damage
Roughly 80 miles off the coast of Yorkshire, the new generation of offshore wind turbines being built at Dogger Bank will be taller than some skyscrapers.

Along with masses of solar panels and electric cars, these feats of human engineering will become the backbone of a new, green economy that will emerge as we abandon fossil fuels.

Yet as we embrace net zero carbon emissions in the name of saving the planet, growing tensions are emerging over what must be done to achieve this goal.

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the World Bank, the switch to "cleaner" renewable energy sources is going to require an unprecedented surge in the extraction of precious minerals from the earth. Whether it is lithium and cobalt needed for batteries, or rare earth elements used for magnets that power wind turbines and electric car motors, we simply can't make the green technologies we need without them.

Yet campaigners and researchers warn that the mines producing these minerals raise troubling environmental questions of their own, with the worst examples ravaging landscapes, polluting water supplies and desolating crops. The industry also poses geopolitical challenges for Britain and its allies, with China currently dominating the supply chains.

It means that without drastic improvements to global standards and greater engagement by the West, the switch to clean power risks becoming very dirty indeed.

Solving the debt crisis the American way

Chart

Our forefathers turned their debts into currency. That Constitutional approach could work today.

On Friday, Jan. 13, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen wrote to Congress that the U.S. government will hit its borrowing limit on Jan. 19, forcing the new Congress into negotiations over the debt limit much sooner than expected. She said she will use accounting maneuvers she called "extraordinary measures" to keep U.S. finances running for a few months, pushing the potential date for default to sometime in the summer. But she urged Congress to get to work on raising the debt ceiling.

Lifting it above its current $31.385 trillion limit won't be easy with a highly divided and gridlocked Congress. As former Republican politician David Stockman crowed in a Jan. 11 article:
15 [House] votes and the slings and arrows of MSM opprobrium were well worth it. That's because the GOP's anti-McCarthy insurrection obtained concessions which just might slow America's headlong rush to fiscal armageddon. And just in the nick of time!

We are referring, of course, to the Speaker elect's promise that there will be no more debt ceiling increases without off-setting spending cuts; and that in the event of a double-cross a single Member of the House may table a motion to vacate the Speaker's chair.
Even if Congress succeeds in raising the debt ceiling, the Federal Reserve's aggressive interest rate hikes are likely to push interest on the federal debt to unsustainable levels.

Comment: As indicated, there are various solutions to be considered should Congress not remain pig-headed and entrenched in political sabotage - of itself, the economy and the people.

U.S. officials advise Ukraine to wait on offensive, official says

soldiertank

Senior U.S. officials are advising Ukraine to hold off on launching a major offensive against Russian forces until the latest supply of U.S. weaponry is in place and training has been provided, a senior Biden administration official said on Friday.

The official, speaking to a small group of reporters on condition of anonymity, said the United States was holding fast to its decision not to provide Abrams tanks to Ukraine at this time, amid a controversy with Germany over tanks.

President Joe Biden, who approved a new $2.5 billion weapons package for Ukraine this week, told reporters at the White House, "Ukraine is going to get all the help they need," when asked if he supports Poland's intention to send German-made Leopard tanks to Ukraine.

U.S. talks with Ukraine on any counter-offensive have been in the context of ensuring the Ukrainians devote enough time first to training on the latest weaponry provided by the United States, the official said.

Comment: US advises Ukraine not to squander scarce resources.
The US believes that Ukraine should "refocus" on preparations for a new offensive, suggesting fierce battles for the eastern city of Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut by Ukraine) may be "hampering" Kiev. The comments cut against months of Western media reports that described the town as a key, strategic area.

The aid includes a large number of artillery rounds, munitions for the US-supplied HIMARS multi-launch rocket platform, and, for the first time, Stryker combat vehicles - but no tanks. A small number of Ukrainian troops are also undergoing training at a US base in Germany, with some learning how to operate the Patriot missile defense battery authorized for Kiev in December.

The official allegedly said that Western weapons that will be needed for a "mobile offensive force" for future battles are currently "pouring into Ukraine," adding that Kiev should not waste its limited resources on the "strategically unimportant target," according to Reuters.

While much of the Western press - including outlets such as PBS, NBC, CBS, the New York Times, and others - have repeatedly deemed the city a key hub of major strategic importance, US officials have voiced an altogether different view in recent days.

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said earlier on Friday:
"Even if Moscow successfully captures the city, it's not going to strategically change the dynamics on the battlefield. It's not going to set the Ukrainians back to a degree where they're all of a sudden on the back foot and they're losing."
While it remains unclear whether Kiev will heed the advice, the comments from US officials came on the heels of a Friday report by Der Spiegel, which cited Germany's Federal Intelligence Agency (BND) as being "alarmed" over heavy losses suffered by Ukrainian troops in the area. Earlier this week, British newspaper The Times also reported that Kiev had sent poorly equipped troops with little combat experience to defend Artyomovsk.
Kiev's battle losses are bad publicity for its arm-chair, war-invested benefactors.

COVID vaccines 'opened the floodgates' for new wave of mRNA vaccines for livestock

© unknownmRNA vaccines for livestock
Several new government- and industry-funded studies are underway to develop mRNA vaccines for livestock, part of the massive expansion of the animal vaccine industry projected to be worth $26.12 billion by 2030.

Researchers at Iowa State University are undertaking a project funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to develop mRNA vaccine technology to prevent bovine respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).

Pharmaceutical company Zoetis developed an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine for animals that was administered to animals at zoos throughout the country.

And researchers in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service experimented with vaccinating captive-bred black-footed ferrets against COVID-19. They also experimented with social distancing and quarantine of ferrets.

"Third generation vaccines," including DNA, RNA and recombinant viral vector vaccines, are not only administered to livestock — but they also are being developed for companion animals and wild animals.

A peer-reviewed study in the journal Viruses last year reported:
"The successful application of mRNA vaccines against COVID-19 has further validated the platform and opened the floodgates to mRNA vaccine's potential in infectious disease prevention, especially in the veterinary field."

Comment: Will Billie Gates be eating mRNA-infested meat? Time to secure (and support) privately-owned untainted food sources.

An unsecured server discovered by a security researcher last week contained the identities of hundreds of thousands of individuals from the U.S. government's Terrorist Screening Database and "No Fly List."

Located by the Swiss hacker known as maia arson crimew, the server, run by the U.S. national airline CommuteAir, was left exposed on the public internet. It revealed a vast amount of company data, including private information on almost 1,000 CommuteAir employees.

Analysis of the server resulted in the discovery of a text file named "NoFly.csv," a reference to the subset of individuals in the Terrorist Screening Database who have been barred from air travel due to having suspected or known ties to terrorist organizations.

The list, according to crimew, appeared to have more than 1.5 million entries in total. The data included names as well as birth dates. It also included multiple aliases, placing the number of unique individuals at far less than 1.5 million.
