Due to the strong winter-type pressure distribution in Hokkaido, Northern Hokkaido was hit by record heavy snowfall on November 24th.It is expected that snow will continue even on the 25th, so you need to be careful about traffic obstacles.

WINNIPEG - A weather phenomenon has left Lake Manitoba near Steep Rock covered in balls of ice, and one expert believes it all could have been caused by snowflakes.
Peter Hofbauer, a resident near Steep Rock, goes out to Lake Manitoba almost every day, but he said he found something he had never seen before when he went out to the lake on Saturday.
The lake was covered in orbs of ice.
"I've never seen ice shaped like that before," he said.
Julienne Stroeve, a professor in the University of Manitoba Department of Environment and Geography, said she was surprised when she saw the pictures of the strange ice formations.
"I have never seen anything like it," she said.
As for what caused the ice balls to form, Stroeve believes snowflakes may be the culprit.
Record sized cyclonic storms in both hemispheres, food manufacturers increasing prices with countries adding export taxes to grains. The real problem is on the record statements of impending fertilizer shortages, will reduce global crop yields adding to the feedback loop of higher prices.

Spain's weather sees snow and frost as temperatures plunge across the country
Ten Spanish regions were on alert for snowfall on Tuesday as the country braced for the brunt of the first winter storm of the season.
The storm - which arrived on Monday, 10 days before the meteorological start of winter - is caused by the "arrival of a mass of cold air from high altitudes that has triggered a sudden drop in temperatures," said Rubén del Campo, the spokesperson of Spain's national weather agency Aemet. According to Del Campo, this mass of cold air has also brought about a slow-moving storm system, known officially as an upper-level isolated depression (DANA) but more popularly known in Spain as a gota fría, or literally cold drop.
On Tuesday, Aragón, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León and La Rioja were placed on orange alert for snowfall, which is the second-highest in Aemet's three-tiered warning system. Asturias, Cantabria, Catalonia, the north of Madrid, Navarre and the Valencia region are on yellow alert, which is the lowest.
Roads blocked, schools shut and public transport not working after the the second day of strong snowfall in Birobidzhan, the administrative centre of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast by Russia's border with China. Residents are out clearing snow to get cars out, extra snow ploughing equipment is sent out.
SCHOOL CANCELLED IN YAKUTIA, RUSSIA AS TEMPERATURES PLUNGE TO -50C (-58F)
Pupils across at least ten villages in the remote Russian region of Yakutia have been ordered to stay at home and study via distance learning as the mercury outside touched -50C (-58F), reports rt.com.
On Monday, November 22, the local government instructed 700 students to stay at home after a low of-50C (-58F) was recorded in the village of Kylaiy, in the Ust-Aldan district of Yakutia province — not too far from the region's largest city of Yakutsk.
Other notable lows in the province include the -45C (-49F) in Batamay; the -44.8C (-48.6F) in Kerbo, Central Siberia; the -39.6C (-39.3F) in Verkhoyansk.
But some of the vessels will have to wait for at least one week before they are released from captivity in the remote Arctic sea-ice.

District authorities in the Russian Far East have decided to commission two icebreakers to aid the vessels currently ice-locked in the East Siberian Sea.
The nuclear-poweredYamalis due to arrive in the region by 20th of November, while the diesel-poweredNovorossiiskwill arrive by 15th of November, regional authorities in Chukotka inform.

As the climate cycles turn to cooler trends, expect to see a lot more of this kind of bizarre conjecture and weapons grade excuses. There's a flock of believers to guard from reality.
Shepherd seems to be trying to preempt and inoculate believers who might get exposed to skeptical comments at Thanksgiving dinner when they meet all those relatives:
Like clockwork, I will also start to see Tweets and Facebook posts claiming that global warming or climate change is not real because its cold. These types of Tweets belong in the Hall of Fame (or Shame) of Climate Illiteracy.
So now believers are primed to gasp or snigger at the right moment round the dinner table. Marshall goes on with a longwinded explanation of how it's cold now because a rock hit the Earth when it was a baby-world and made winter. He even links to a childrens page at NASA — possibly because most believers are child-like, or he thinks they are not too smart.
Arctic sea ice data is in plain view of the world's media, yet outlets would still rather quote activist-scientists than show an unambiguous chart. Articles of "catastrophic ice melt" still pepper the global news feeds, even as signs point to a cyclical shift in the northern polar region.
I'm being consciously naive here. I'm fully aware that the media's job isn't to inform; rather, it exists to propagandize and to push the agendas and narratives of its backers. Still, I can't help but wonder, when a placard-brandishing climate alarmist yells "the end is nigh!", who exactly is it that they've put their trust in? Who told them that the sky is falling? I ask because you do need to be informed of the 'climate crisis' in order to discern it — your own senses aren't enough. People aren't opening their front doors in the morning to an 'existential emergency', they aren't retreating back inside, calling their bosses and saying "I wont be coming in today, you know... 'cause of the climate". This is supposed to be 'catastrophic global warming', remember? Not 'random, cherry-picked extreme weather events'? For what is billed as a 'worldly cataclysm', this warming sure is illusive, periodic and localized.
The first significant snow event of the season for Alberta has passed, and some of the snow totals from the winter storm are pretty wild.
Environment Canada has issued its weather summary for the storm, which saw between eight to 53 centimetres of snow accumulate in the province.
The Rockies
Environment Canada says in Banff and Jasper, snow began on Friday and ended Monday night. Its automatic observing stations recorded 17 to 21 centimetres of snow, while third-party sources like Twitter reported a hefty 35 centimetres in Banff and a staggering 53 centimetres at Lake Louise. Pretty impressive for a November winter storm in Alberta.
