SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- An auto body business was the scene of a large fire that, officials said, was caused by a transformer explosion, Friday afternoon.
Around 2:30 p.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reported to the scene of the fire in the area of Southwest 105th Street and 184th Terrace. According to witnesses, a transformer of the business exploded and caused two vehicles and one boat to catch fire.
Crystal Morales said she stepped outside when she heard the loud explosion and watched as a power wire fell on top of the vehicles and the boat. "Lights were going on and off, then after that, there was a really big explosion," said Morales. "The fire department came quick. I called 911."
Before the fire was put out by crews, they had to shut down power. "We were all scared the truck, Mercedes and boat were going to explode," said Morales.
No injuries were reported and the vehicles and the boat are likely to be declared a total loss.
Comment: In the last week alone there have been many other cases of transformer explosions and electrical anomalies, a few of which include:
- In Johannesburg two men were critically injured in a freak accident that saw a transformer they were working on explode.
- A massive fire at an apartment building in Canada caused by a failure of the electrical distribution system.
- A smoky cabin forced an American Airlines jet to make an emergency landing on approach to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
- Three transformers went up in flames after a blast at a nearby substation in Cyber City, India.
- In Connecticut an underground explosion cut off power to more than 1,500 customers.
- A huge-explosion ripped through residential building in Chengdu, China.
As well as traditional causes such as leaking gas mains, creaking infrastructure and lack of adequate maintenance - maybe we need to consider
other potential causes to these rapidly escalating incidents?
As
seismic and
volcanic activity intensifies, increased outgassing of
methane, and other gases like hydrogen sulfide, from
deep below the planet's surface could be
igniting?
Perhaps some incidents are related 'electrically' in part to the 'grounding' of our Solar System?

Comment: The authorities are assuming that the water main break caused the sinkhole, but what if the sinkhole, created by the Earth's 'opening up', caused the the water main to break?
