An Afghan police chief violently beat two asylum seekers who were rejected by Denmark and were being transported to Kabul on board a Danish National Police aircraft, a police report says, as cited by the media, adding that Danish officers were present during the attack.

The incident took place on board a flight to the Afghan capital chartered by the Danish National Police on March 1, Politiken newspaper reported, citing a confidential police report.

A total of 50 Danish officers were on the plane deporting failed Afghan asylum seekers. After the plane landed, 11 Afghans left it voluntarily and a family of three were still in their seats when two men, identified as Alireza Rafie and Morteza Yousufi, refused to disembark.

Hackers collecting bitcoin following Friday's cyberattack have not yet withdrawn any of the digital currency from their accounts, and could have a hard time doing so without getting caught, experts say.

With the help of leaked software developed by the National Security Agency (NSA), malicious ransomware called the Wanna Decryptor - or WannaCry - spread to 150 countries.

It wreaked havoc on systems belonging to Britain's National Health Service (NHS), where hospital computers were shut down and operations cancelled. Other victims included a Spanish telecommunications company and a Russian cell phone operator.

Precious snowflakes gone wild: U of Arizona is hiring students to tattle on others for 'bias incidents' - Update

students tattling
What kind of person wants to get a job policing 'microaggressions'?

The University of Arizona is hiring students to be "social-justice activists," and the job description demands that they "report any bias incidents or claims to appropriate Residence Life staff."

In other words: These kids are being paid to tattle on other kids for anything they might consider to be a microaggression, and any students who gets these jobs should probably identify themselves so that other students will know to never invite them to their parties.

Comment: Update from Campus Reform:
The University of Arizona recently announced that it will revise its controversial "Social Justice Advocates" position after facing a week of backlash from conservative media.

As Campus Reform initially reported, the school planned to pay students $10 per hour to assume the responsibilities of "Social Justice Advocates," which included hosting monthly "social justice modules" for RAs and bi-semesterly "Real Talks" with residents, while arranging both "active" and "passive" social-justice programming.

Most controversially, though, the job description called for students filling the role to "report any bias incidents or claims to appropriate Residence Life staff," prompting many conservative pundits to point out that the school was effectively paying its students to "tattle on others."

In response, the university has scrubbed the job listing from its website, noting that it is "in the process of reviewing the title and responsibilities," but providing no further details regarding possible revisions.

School officials told The Phoenix New Times that it planned on changing at least the title of the position since the term "social justice" elicited so many negative reactions.

"It's best to use a title that isn't politically charged," university spokesperson Pam Scott explained. "It just set off alarms."

New Zealand and the UK are among the worst countries in the world in terms of children's rights, according to an annual global index. Both countries saw their rankings dramatically drop since last year.

The KidsRights Index, which is published each year by the KidsRights Foundation, tracks the children's rights records of countries around the globe.

The survey consists of five domains: right to life; right to health; right to education; right to protection; and nurturing an enabling environment for child rights.

While many nations in this year's bottom 10 are developing countries with fewer resources, some aren't. Two of them - New Zealand and the UK - particularly stand out among their peers.

New Zealand was ranked 158th out of 165 - a sharp fall from last year's 45th position.

Tennessee man dies after setting himself on fire on Facebook Live

Jared McLemore
A Memphis, Tennessee, man set himself on fire on Facebook Live before running inside a crowded bar early Saturday and later died of severe burns at a hospital, authorities said Sunday.

"It was the most horrific thing I've seen," witness Kim Koehler, who watched the man, identified as Jared McLemore, a local musician, run inside Murphy's Bar, told NBC affiliate WMC.

Memphis police called it a suicide.

The video shows McLemore seated while he pours kerosene all over his body. He then lights himself on fire and runs off screen.

Witnesses said McLemore was on fire from head to foot when he ran inside the bar, where his ex-girlfriend worked. One man inside was burned after he tried to kick the lighter out of McLemore's hands and was taken to a hospital, where he's expected to make a full recovery.

A mafia clan has been in charge of one of Italy's largest migrant reception centers for an entire decade, police have revealed. Dozens have been arrested in connection with the scheme, which reportedly led to the clan pocketing millions.

The Arena clan, part of the Calabria-based 'Ndrangheta mafia, reportedly made millions of euros through its running of the Sant'Anna Cara facility in Isola di Capo Rizzuto, one of Italy's largest migrant reception centers.

According to police, the clan "controlled, for profit, the management of the reception center," which has held as many as 1,500 migrants at a time. It has maintained control of the facility for over 10 years.

A pastor from a local church in White River Mpumalanga died this morning trying to demonstrate a biblical miracle to his congregants.

Pastor Jonathan Mthethwa of the 'Saint Of The Last Days' church drowned into the crocodile infested river also known as the Crocodile River and was seen by his church members getting eaten by 3 crocodiles.

It is said that Pastor Mthethwa walked into the water and when he was 30 meters inside the river, he attempted to ascend above the water so he can start walking, but the 3 crocodiles appeared out of no where and started feasting on him.

"They finished him in a couple of minutes. All that was left of him when they finished eating him is a pair of sandals and his underwear floating above the water." said Deacon Nkosi.

The price of cocoa extended its biggest weekly rise in five years as a revolt unravels in Cote d'Ivoire, which produces almost half of the world's cocoa beans.

The African country's army has failed to reach a deal with mutinous soldiers who are demanding delayed bonus payments. The government pledged to pay them after a mutiny in January but neglected to do it after a collapse in the price of cocoa, Cote d'Ivoire's main export.

On Monday, cocoa prices were up two percent trading at $2,057 per metric ton.
